Taco Truck Company Apologizes for Serving ICE Agents After an SJW Mob Forms;
Then an Anti-SJW Mob Forms, and They're Forced to Apologize for Apologizing

Quick, someone at National Review write a "This is not who we are" virtue signal, stat!

Baseball C**k seems like the right effete sissy, the right Treasurer of the local chapter of the Margaret Dumont Appreciation Society, to do it.

Or maybe Jonah Goldberg-- who is, yes, still writing at National Review -- he has an "article" out today demanding Trump apologize or something -- despite promises that he was leaving.

He's a fat baby who won't cut the umbilicus.

I guess he doesn't have all the confidence in his newsletter that one would hope he would.

Otherwise, some people might start to think that confronting the mob is the way to defeat the mob and disincentivize mob tactics.

And yes, that may involve going after the Social Media Mobsters with mob tactics.

The horror!

And then what are you prepared to do, Cosplay Conservatives?

Here's Jonah Goldberg announcing his new "article" for National Review:

Here's Doc_zero telling this petulant fat nepot to fuck right off:

And he will, too.

They all will.

Conservatism, Inc. has no permanent allies, only permanent interests -- personal financial interests.

Their grift on the conservative side of the aisle is over. They know that. Pierre Omidyar and Penny Pritzker will only funnel money to them through 2020.

They are all building up their resumes to either compete for the limited number of positions for the Pretend Conservative Who Only Attacks Conservatives on CNN, MSNBC, and PBS, or to pitch themselves to leftwing sites as either "centrists" or David Brook-type turncoats.

Word around the campfire, as I wouldn't set foot there myself, but what I hear is, While there were long lines at the other concession areas during Sunday's game, Lloyd's Tacos had very few people in line.

This is a category error.

You are attempting to use the word 'Conservatism' simultaneously as a movement and a framework.

This is dishonest or inept.

Conservatism is a framework for the political. It's is neither a party nor a movement.

Now if you were to re-phrase your question as, "What has the GOP conserved?" - you might have a rich vein of thought to follow.

239 I forget who said this, perhaps multiple people have. But it's a good question. What has conservatism conserved?
Posted by: Augustine

Long long ago, perhaps as far back as the 1800s, the terms "conservatism" and "progressivism" emerged to describe two political philosophies. At that time, over a century ago, the labels "made sense," i.e.

-- The prevailing dominant culture in the United States was one of "traditional values" and old-fashiond mores.

-- Those who wish to "conserve" these values and mores because they have served mankind well since th dawn of time were dubbed "conservatives."

-- Those who wanted to jettison the "old ways" and "progress" to a new social paradigm with different (i.e. looser, amoral) values were dubbed "progressives."

The labels "conservative" and "progressive" made sense at that time in that framework.

Fast forward 150 years or so and things are completely different. The "progressive" side won almost every battle, and now society's dominant culture is one of degradation, perversion, illogic and immorality. There's nothing of the old ways left to conserve.

So in the modern world, people still labelled "conservative" actually want to "progress" to a saner social framework based on age-old time-tested values, while those still labelled "progressive" want to conserve the existing corrupt immoral values.

it's a decent comfort food. sort of like mac and cheese but with a protein I guess.

I don't hate it, depends on the pasta you use and I make it with better cheeses and more dry/more layering. like a tuna lasagna lol

I prefer to make just regular pasta (fusilli usually) with red sauce and have the tuna in the sauce, that is pretty good (christmas eve staple!)

nah. They're okay for fast-food tacos. There's nothing really wrong with them but they're not wowsers or anything.

One thing I'd say in their favor: They're like those Old EL Paso home tacos. A lot of tacos you buy at trucks or in restaurants are "authentic" style, but I don't want authentic. I want like the Old El Paso tacos I used to have at home.

So they're that kind of taco, but they're not great.

First time I ever wanted to do anything to Dana Perino besides... well... yeah. But I was shocked at the stupidity of the sentiment. A) Clinton DID IT. He was guilty as hell of more than he was charged for. And his apology was not at all directed to the people he'd maligned for months leading up to the discovery of overwhelming evidence. And B) Anyone who thinks that Trump apologizing would change the tenor of discourse in DC or around the country toward him is either deluded or dumber than a box of farts.

-its easier to get to than a restaurant, they're open to the public and available right there.

-the food is usually quite good and not terribly expensive
-there's often a wild and interesting variety of stuff you don't usually get or is hard to find.

I've also never been to any McDonalds, Wendy's, Jack in the Box, Popeye's and 90% of other fast food chains.

As far as I can remember, the only fast food places I've ever visited (usually just once in each instance) are Arby's, Del Taco and Dairy Queen.

Some people live a "fast food lifestyle." Others don't. There were no fast food joints where I grew up, and my parents were anti-mainstream bohemians, and wouldn't have taken me there even if they had existed. I gut used to never visiting them. And never developed the habit as an adult.

Those other Mexican semi-fast food places don't have drive-thrus. There might be some Del Tacos around with those, but Del Tacos aren't nearly as common.
Up until a few years ago, King Taco was my go to for a quick Mexican fix. Very good food, fast service, and good prices. But there was no easy parking. It made sense when I could walk there from work. Now that I don't work close to one? Not so much.

Heh.

I ran into this last weekend. One of my kid's friends was over and her very wine mom picked her up. I was making small talk with her and she mentioned something about this incredible food truck downtown. I said, oh yeah that restaurant is now doing a food truck thing. And she said, oh really? I didn't realize they had a restaurant too. The look on her face was so sad as if thinking, OH NO!! I was supposed to be real hip in eating street food, but it's just a mobile version of a regular restaurant.

There are like 3 categories of pasta which affect their density and end result sogginess and that's pretty much it. If its shaped like a star or a spiral or a stick, its just pasta. It turns out that doing what your constituents want you to do is populism and thus a Very Bad Thing. Therefore, to avoid being one of those dangerous and bad populists, you really need to listen to the smart set what writes columns for Real Conservative magazines or policy papers for Real Conservative think tanks. You know. Intellectuals. Not the rabble that actually votes.

Why are we still letting the ABA, a far-left interest group, rate these judicial nominees? We may as well let the f*%$king Southern Poverty Law Center evaluate them. The ABA is just a bunch of prog lawyers, pushing Dim causes, and it's long past time we acknowledged that and got them out of the judicial nomination process. They are no more fit to evaluate federal judicial candidates than the local aspiring rapper is.

RE: banning taxis and Uber atcLAX terminals
The ban is at the pick-up locatiin for the terminals, only. The idea is to keep taxis from hovering in the area waiting for customers who need a taxi. Instead, there's apparently a nearby lot where taxi services can pick up their customers.
So you can still get a taxi. It just takes more effort.
