The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, want to stay as far away as possible from the Joe Biden demand that the Ukrainian Government fire a prosecutor who was investigating his son, or they won't get a very large amount of U.S. money, so they fabricate a.....

....story about me and a perfectly fine and routine conversation I had with the new President of the Ukraine. Nothing was said that was in any way wrong, but Biden's demand, on the other hand, was a complete and total disaster. The Fake News knows this but doesn't want to report!

50 Morning, all,

Sitting at Panera before my haircut and other errands. Why is it that Saturday is almost busier than work days?

Love the Jonny Quest/Justin Trudeau memes from last night.

Discovered this am that my car lies to me. It told me I was low on fuel, and I was. But it said I had used 14.9 gallons over two weeks. The pump shut off at 15.8 - so I actually had less fuel in reserve than I thought. This car is new to me; I'm learning about it. From now on I will consider I have 1/14 less gas than it reports.

No kidding, every single candidate is going to be a yawner, enthusiasm will die and hope will be lost because most of us will know we are returning to The Norm of having yet another corrupt, bought, deep swamp puppet to resume the plundering.

There is a movie out on Amazon called "Backstabbing For Beginners" which is based on Michael Sullivan's exposing the extent of the corruption in the Iraq Oil For Food program. If true, it is only a microcosm of what has been routine in the former United States for the last century (at least).

146 These idiot Congressional Democrats tried this crap a few months ago when they demanded that President Trump disclose what he said to Vladimir Putin during a meeting. They went so far as threatening to subpoena a translator to find out what was aid.

Finally, someone reminded them that foreign affairs are an exclusive constitutional function of the executive branch and the Senate must ratify treaties.

Now, they are pulling the same nonsense with Ukraine. An executive staff member eavesdrops on a telephone call and files a complaint within the executive branch. That does not confer constitutional power over foreign affairs to Congress.

The fucktards in the media know this, but their cultish allegiance to the Democrats compels them to overlook the Constitution when it comes to foreign affairs (see the non-Senate ratification of the Iran deal and the foreign affairs intrusion of citizen John Kerry).

Conservatives need to push this issue as an abuse of power of Congress.

180 "the whistleblower's concerns came in part from learning information that was not obtained during the course of their work"

A spy that leaked ... trying to cover his arse after the fact, after the news cycle propaganda had accomplished the mission. He (or his lawyer) is claiming he didn't break any work laws/rules, because he just "heard it through the grapevine"? In any case, whatever internal mole from Hillary's "resistance fighters" should be fired and prosecuted.

The other report (Buck Sextion iirc) I heard said whistleblower laws don't even apply to POTUS, they are for those in the IC. Of course the media sets the narrative, so it was important to frame the spy as a "whistleblower". These are coordinated attacks on Trump (and on US), imo. Coordinated in advance with the MFM, probably.

232 Because Americans are absolutely dead-set against the transfer of wealth that socialists advocate, they have gotten tricky.

Rather than transfer wealth, they want to transfer debt.

Except they don't call it transferring debt, they call it "wiping out debt."

Well, anyone with have a brain cell can tell you that debt is never wiped out. It is absorbed by someone else: The original lender, consumers, taxpayers, etc.

When you hear socialists talk about wiping out debt, translate for them: It's good old-fashioned transfer of wealth by other means.

Responding to a 911 call about the unsupervised child, police found the girl--crying and confused--alone outside the all-nude Vegas Cabaret in Lauderhill, a Broward County city, around 2 AM.

The child had apparently been sleeping inside a Toyota Corolla that was not running and had a window cracked open for ventilation. In the rear of the car, cops reported, were toys and a car seat.

258 Did you ever notice how when a criminal is shot and killed, there are little shrines placed on the street where the skel breathed his or her last?

How come no one ever puts up a similar shrine for cops who are killed?

In Paris, there are signs everywhere for members of the Resistance who were killed fighting the Nazis. A constant reminder of the price of complacency and appeasement.

There should be a plaque placed at every location where a police officer was killed by a criminal. The states should make it a felony to deface or remove the plaque.

We need constant reminders of the cost of complacency and appeasement to the Al Sharptons and Bill DiBlasios of the world.

Who had his head right up his ass-io
He was a big commie,

The voters gave him a hard pass-io.

260 >>AP: Rep. Joe Kennedy [III] formally announces US Senate campaign

yaaayyyy

Right? He got impatient, decided to challenge Ed Markey, who's bee a Rep and then a Senator since the 70's. I hope it gets ugly - if only both of them could lose!

263 The woman who told Betorourke "I'm here to tell you Hell No you're not going to take our guns" is apparently the co-owner of Shooter's Grill restaurant in Rifle, CO where the waitresses open carry sidearms. Good for her.

265 Speaking of juries, what the hell is up with grand juries? They've never been more important and more useless at the same time. We have a lot of out of control prosecutors and I'm sick of the automatic rubber stamping.

"In conclusion, they wrote, "judges cannot - nor should they try to - align our legal system with the Church's moral teaching whenever the two diverge. They should, however, conform their own behavior to the Church's standard."

not that much nuance really ... recusal in important cases that go against TheChurch (by which she seems to mean, The Catholic Church and whatever the pope's position is, from the rest of the article)

I don't think her (or is it the pope's?) position on the death penalty is correct either (that since we can safely incarcerate them, the death penalty is wrong ... nope). But more concerning is that her position is determined by the pope, not the constitution. And "standing down" (recusal) can be just as bad as turning the decision over to a packed court liberal.

it is too bad the constitution doesn't allow Protestants on the Supreme Court /s (Gorsuch was raised through law school as Catholic).

==========
It is totally disingenuous to cite the quote Coulter cited. It was written when Coney Barrett was a law clerk and she was talking about when a religious judge must recuse his or herself. In fact, the phrase Coulter ellipsed says "If they are faithful to the teaching of their church". She is specifiically not talking about herself, she is referring in a legal analysis to judges who, for reasons of personal morality, believe they cannot be true to the law.
She is specifically saying, in fact, enforce the law or recuse yourself. Don't intrude personal beliefs. No legislating from the bench.

268 Coney Barrett may or may not be a good nominee. This quote doesn't say anything about that, one way or the other.

It is a totally bullshit attempt to smear her.

269 Coulter is lying here.

Posted by: Huck Follywood, a low grade social fever at September 21, 2019 11:07 AM (NVYyb)

270 In fact, she says in the very same paper,

society needs judges to enforce the criminal law. Those who do so help maintain a peaceful and just society.

Coulter doesn't cite that. It ran counter to her drive by slime.
