Bill Burr Lights Up #MeToo, Feminists

From his Netflix special, "Paper Tiger."

He starts with Dave Chappelle style F*** Your Feelings type attacks against SJWs and Cancel Culture.

The guy below plays about two minutes of the show. Sorry he's talking over parts of it.

Now here's a bit where he decides Dave Chappelle got too much attention for #Triggering the NPCs, so he's going to go even further:

Even I was like "Oh no he didn't" on that last one.

He did a variation of this older bit too:

This is funny too:

And he finally got enough of it that he just said "I got enough money, I don't need this shit, I'm outta here."

One show they do a special tribute to Larry the Cable Guy. Now, Larry makes me laugh, but he's pretty much the lowest possible form of dumb humor and playing a fake character for the effect.

Greg Giraldo basically spent the entire roast going REALLY??? LARRY THE F'ING CABLE GUY???

Because you can't always change the rules. People have to recognize things that are being ironically juxtaposed. The irony comes from expectation. Thus some expectations have to be satisfied so that others can be surprised.

The comic can't just turn to the audience and say "No me and my group of elites decided that that joke was funny"--unless you're trying to satire the way that rules are unilaterally changed in a culture war.

265 250 You know who is annoying me now is Jerry Seinfeld. His "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" was kind of a cool bit early on. His first few "seasons" were clearly him picking his favorite and most admired people and hanging out with them. Now its just... whoever he can get and some of them are just awful. And his show with Eddie Murphy was just cringefest.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at September 13, 2019 02:56 PM (KZzsI)

Plus he's being 'told' who to interview. It's a business now. The Howard Stern episode is the worst. Eddie Murphy wasn't bad but it did show that Eddie has lost a step and isn't ever coming back to who and what he was in the 80's.

David French's naive complaint about courage at Notre Dame is gross. Normal people aren't worried about being shamed on Twitter. They're worried, rightly, about losing their jobs and careers.

360 I think Archer's Vice season was the last good one. The one in LA was okay, the noir thing was just wrong - the humor did not work in the setups. I couldn't get started on the Adventure one, whatever. The space one is kinda sorta funny but they have this annoying alien that ruins it.

Posted by: blaster at September 13, 2019 03:17 PM (9VeU0)

I get more joy out of making friends and family laugh then I ever did he few times I was on stage. Mostly because I was scared shitless and couldn't really enjoy the moment as even as I got some laughs I was always thinking what I was going to say next. The weird part was that a few people I worked with at the time found out I did a few amateur stand up open mike nights and expected me to be funny all the time, it was weird. I do wonder though if I had stuck with it.
