Repeat from ONT:

Some people have indicated that they would like the Official AoSHQ Classical Music Playlist of White Supremacy (TM).

http://soyaraborzoi.com/Playlist.htm

This magisterial compilation (675 different composers) is transcribed onto a flash drive, so anyone interested needs to send me an e-mail (monsalvat 61 at gmail dot com, remove spaces and add symbols) with their mailing address for me to get it to you.

Again, it's free to you; I can't accept anything for it. If you feel compelled to do something, please pay it forward or make a suitable contribution to a charity of your choice.

I think previous recipients will testify to the quality I've tried to maintain.

43 I like the artist's use of color and detail. I've seen other of his paintings which bring out these qualities even more. But the blank expression on the model's face really detracts from the painting. I would rather have the work without the guy. If that is the model's usual expression, Rusinol should have chosen another person.

House Judiciary has given up on the Mueller Report, sadly for them after two years and $40,000,000 spent -ZERO COLLUSION, ZERO OBSTRUCTION. So they say,OK, lets look at everything else, and all of the deals that "Trump" has done over his lifetime. But it doesn't.

@realDonaldTrump
work that way. I have a better idea. Look at the Obama Book Deal, or the ridiculous Netflix deal. Then look at all the deals made by the Dems in Congress, the "Congressional Slush Fund," and lastly the IG Reports. Take a look at them. Those investigations would be over FAST!

205 past 100, so just saw another item on the Kavanaugh story that the NYT also forgot to mention (from Sarah Carter). Not only did they forgot to mention that the supposed victim has no memory of anything like that ever happening, but they also forgot to say that the "concerned citizen" Max Stier, who claims to have witnessed it, just happens to be one of Bill Clinton's former defense attorneys, who has a long standing grudge against Kavanaugh from when they were on opposite sides during the Whitewater investigation.

So, a personal friend of Bill & Hillary Clinton just "happened" to have witnessed Terrible Things involving Brett Kavanaugh. Who he hated. No, not political at all.

I saw his tweet earlier that Instapundit highlighted, but I can't quite recall if Ekdahl was really anti-Trump up to this point.

I mean, I don't think he's suddenly pro-Trump, but him turning into grudgingly-Trump is probably a really good indicator of where the squishy middle could end up.
Posted by: TheJamesMadison, The Winter Soldier at September 16, 2019 10:21 AM (DjIxe)

He really did not like Trump. I think that Alex and Cochran mentioned it on their podcast once that he does get it honestly, partly from where Ekdahl lives. So it wasn't a case like the Never Trumpers who want to pretend that they don't like Trumps behavior but really it's because they're liberals or power hungry and didn't like Trump upsetting the status quo of surrendering to dems.

I read the one article yesterday, much of which didn't make any sense, because modern journalism.

Two things stood out. First, they used the word "corroborate" when indeed what they were claiming was not the incident, but the aftermath. Apparently Kavanaugh at some point in the proceedings (or maybe it was his lawyer's statement) that IF such an incident had occurred (the Ramirez event), it would have been the talk of the school. Allegedly, according to the article, there are folks who were at school at the time who are willing to "corroborate" that it was, indeed, the talk of the school.

Second, the incident that occurred is supposed to have been Kavanaugh exposing his penis, then SOMEBODY ELSE "pushing" his penis into the face of the girl. What the hell does that even mean? He's wandering around with his pants on the ground... and a friend of his... does what, exactly, to push another guy's penis, into the face of a girl? The logistics of it seem impossible to me.

Thankfully I have no experience with divorce attorneys, but from others what I've heard is it's common practice for YOUR attorney to try to get you to give up as much as you will, to keep him from having to fight the other side.

Like there's some agreement within the guild, they're not going to fight your battles, but the "opposing" sides are all about getting you and your soon-to-be ex to agree, so the lawyers can get out of there as easily as possible and collect their cash.

If you have a shitty lawyer, apparently making them kneel, then shooting them and leaving them in a ditch is bad form.

If your attorney is not working for you, then fire him/her. Yeah, its a pain in the butt during the process, but do it. I fired mine too late. I am stuck with the bad agreement that were the fruits of his labor for a long time.

I reported him to the Bar, and get this - lawyers investigating lawyers found that the lawyers did nothing wrong.

Then one of his other clients sued him (lawyers trying to get money from other lawyers, well, that's another thing entirely!) and he voluntarily retired.

So, yeah, short term pain to find a new attorney, but better than getting bad deal for the rest of your life.

Posted by: rhennigantx at September 16, 2019 10:44 AM (JFO2v)

I noted that as well, and that is one of the most crucial points of the Libel the NYT committed here. They intentionally misused the word "Corroborate" which legally means that you have gotten other people to back up the first witnesses story with independent information. What they did was to "confirm" with other people that someone had been saying this - but a simple "confirmation" that something was said tells you nothing at all about whether or not the underlying story is true. That's why they misused the word "corroborate", because that word DOES imply that that underlying story is true.

This was done by people who write words for a living, they deliberately and maliciously chose that language to give a false impression, and they knew exactly what they were doing.

The narrative, the one the twatters will all be twatting, is that there are "hundreds" of people at the school who can "corroborate" that it was indeed the talk of the school.

Which, by that logic, I guess that means whatever is stated at the back end of the telephone game must now be considered true and "corroborated" fact.

The main argument for the US taking the lead is that it gives the Iranians a clear of the forces they're going to face if they persist. If we do nothing, it will be up to Saudi and Israel to launch strikes, which they will do, and that will encourage to let loose all of their missiles (and they've got quite a few) against both countries. Well the obvious question there is does she work? Has she worked in the past, any job skills? If she was working it should be relatively easy to argue that you go your separate ways with your respective contributions(retirement, equity in the house, no alimony). Of course your starting position will be more aggressive than that. If she didn't work, a good rough target point is modest alimony(support, not an income, maybe a few hundred a month), for a few years, because she can find work and support herself. Either way unless it's a rare case where she earns more than you, no alimony is the starting point.

It seems to play out that way a lot in criminal cases too. Especially when the alleged perp has a public defender.

Before the case goes to court, the defendant says stuff like "my lawyer this," and "my lawyer that." I don't think they get it... it ain't YOUR lawyer! It's the court's lawyer, and his job is to get your case settled as quickly and as cheaply as possible.

Another myth they spread on teevee all the time, of the little tiny lone public defender, going up against the big scary machine of the prosecution office.

Often their offices are right down the hall from each other.

I just don't see it - why would that be necessary? Kavanaugh was a GOPe Bush-machine man... IOW likely enough to be a default-liberal justice in the mold of Roberts. Why antagonize him?

I think the simple explanation is that they went all-out to prevent him being seated, it didn't work, and they have no dry powder for the next fight, so they are grasping at straws to come up with anything they can use to cast aspersions on Trump Court picks.

Joint property, acquired after the marriage began. Inheritances are treated differently in different states, typically an inheritance is not joint property, but belongs solely to the person direct in line.

Unfortunately, as much as I like Trump, this is one of his weaknesses. He doesn't put much effort into building public support for something before doing it, he just does it. There's times when that's good, but there's times when it isn't.

Agreed.

Bicycles should be considered pedestrians, not vehicles, and restricted to sidewalks. It's easy for bicycles to avoid pedestrians, and injuries are fairly moderate when they don't. It's harder for cars to avoid idiots on bicycles, and the accidents run from serious to fatal.

508 The reason the US can't stand back from a major war in the middle east is because the world economy will be destroyed if the Saudi and Iranian fields are destroyed, which a war of mutual destruction could cause. We may have enough oil for ourselves, but our economy won't survive if Japan, Europe, and China all plunge into Great Depression II because their energy supplies are all destroyed, and we don't have nearly enough oil to supply ourselves and them too.

Trump (and us too) want to go into 2020 with a strong economy, we don't want to have to explain why the 2nd Great Depression really wasn't our fault.

I'd like to hope that a Christian would recognize that his enemies will do anything to defeat him, and by extension, all of us deplorables who dared to vote for OMB. He'd know they were lying and that all he needs to do is tell the truth. Their allegations cannot be given any sort of credit and I think a lot of voters are seeing the pattern of negative hit pieces against PDT's administration seeing through all their bullshit tactics.

He should sue. This outright lying by Progda has gone on long enough. Clean them out. He's a lawyer that made it to the top of his field. If there was ever a justification for lawfare, he should be able to leave just the smoking husk of a business as a reminder to...um, make that encourage...the others.
