Good Morning Morons; today is Sunday, August 11, 2019. On this day in 1942 Actress Hedy Lamarr and composer George Antheil received a patent for a Frequency-hopping spread spectrum communication system that later became the basis for modern technologies in wireless telephones and Wi-Fi.

8 This is one of my pet peeves.

Outback Steakhouse has issued an apology to a Maryland mother and her family after they were asked to leave the restaurant over a noise complaint about her 4-year-old son, who suffers from a neurological disorder.

People who take babies who cry and scream to public restaurants where other customers want to enjoy a quite meal. This wasn't a baby but it was the same thing. Outback should have stood by them saying to finish their meal and leave.

9 Becoming a mass shooter is not the only crime these crazy nutbags who are not institutionalized do. Here we have a nutbag who had been accused of rape before and judge had deemed him incompetent to stand trial and he was turned loose. He now has hit an 8 year old girl in the head with a shovel and raped her. I though that if you committed a crime in the past and were deemed incompetent you were automatically sent to a criminal nuthouse. The insanity plea is not a get out of jail free card.

16 On a side note let me rant about pop-up ads and sites complaining about ad blockers. The Daily Caller is running a pop-up ad that runs all the way across the bottom of the screen and blocks a significant portion of the screen. As soon as you close the ad another one pops up to take its place. It is aggravating as Hell and they wonder why people use ad blockers.

34 Epstein was straight up merked.

A corrections officer has
come forward to explain that a subject as notorious as Epstein and who
has "tried" to commit suicide would, per protocol, be wearing whats
called a pickle suit which cannot be used in any way to hang oneself, he
would have also been in a cell that would have made it impossible to
commit suicide.

He would have also been
under 24/7 CCTV observation, apparently this camera/recording system
"failied," and a guard would have checked up on him every 30 minutes.

This was Deep State doing what the Deep State does.

This is so chilling, scary and completely intolerable.

This makes it absolutely essential that those who attempted the coup against President Trump be brought to justice.

ALL OF THEM.

65 Doggeh update:

My little (4 years) Odessa has pancytopenia, which is a catchall term for a lot of blood disorders, but it all boils down to anemia and that her body isn't producing the red cells she needs.

She doesn't have to be put to sleep, for which I am grateful, but she will have to be on a lot of meds for the rest of her days. There was also a bone marrow sample taken, but the results of that aren't in yet, so more bad news may be on its way.

In any event, she's back home at Stately Poppins Manor catching up on her sleep.

Thank you to all the Horde who sent up a prayer or a good wish. I love you all.

My gut feeling her in RatTown is that Trump has much deeper support in the black community than any pollster is likely to find/reveal.

And would not be surprised to find that same trend in the Hispanic-American community as well.

His problem really seems to be with the very young, and white woke women in their 40's to 70's. And librarians.

Interesting pickle for the Left.

If they want to hang Trump with Epstein, they then risk Trump fighting back and exposing or at the very least tainting them badly, and deservedly, with his rap sheet.

The wise thing for them to do is to let this thing fade or do what they can to bury it.

But, if the past three years teaches us anything, they won't.

I agree that the NCAA is a joke, but they had no authority to take action in Sandusky case, which is why PSU got its money back and the penalties were lifted early.

The problem with the NCAA (and colleges in general) is that they want to act like cops and judges but they have no actual authority and/or competence to do it.

Note that North Carolina was so crooked that they where doing fake classes for YEARS and their accreditation itself was challenged because of the fake degrees they were handing out.

The NCAA's response? Nothing to see here.

They actually argued that since non-athletes also got bogus credits, it wasn't a problem specifically related to athletics. Gosh, I guess that's the new trick, right? Just make sure that when bribes are handed out, random students get them, too.

Posted by: Vic at August 11, 2019 07:37 AM (mpXpK)

Not necessarily. Ordinarily, yes, that is how it would happen. The router (for whatever reason, usually a power off reset) will, following a reboot, broadcast a DHCP request for an IP address, which in this case would go to the DHCP server of the end user's ISP, and a new address would be assigned. However, I have seen it happen that the router got assigned the same IP address it had before the reset. Relatively rare but it does happen.

It's not odd at all, just part of a long-term marketing plan.

Anyone read the Vigano testimonies? Benedict's letter?

The pervert priests didn't just happen, it was a concerted effort to break the Church. The Marxists tried to break the Church through persecutions, but that didn't work, so they changed their axis of attack to undermining it from within.

Boy Scouts was the same thing. You go to where the victims are easy to get and also you help destroy something that you hate and is an obstacle to our worldview.

247 I agree that the NCAA is a joke, but they had no authority to take action in Sandusky case, which is why PSU got its money back and the penalties were lifted early.

The problem with the NCAA (and colleges in general) is that they want to act like cops and judges but they have no actual authority and/or competence to do it.

I'm sure you're correct on how this played out but I'm not following the logic. The NCAA is like a voluntary club of the kollidges, like the Rotary club of schools. Why don't they have the authority to discipline their members to the point of kicking them out if they didn't comply. Is the fact that state kollidges are involved what makes this different? Does anyone, like the Big Ten, have the wherewithal to punish them? Or do other schools have to tell them "we're not scheduling games with you any more" and prove they're not colluding en masse?

264 I'm sure you're correct on how this played out but
I'm not following the logic. The NCAA is like a voluntary club of the
kollidges, like the Rotary club of schools. Why don't they have the
authority to discipline their members to the point of kicking them out
if they didn't comply. Is the fact that state kollidges are involved
what makes this different? Does anyone, like the Big Ten, have the
wherewithal to punish them? Or do other schools have to tell them
"we're not scheduling games with you any more" and prove they're not
colluding en masse?

Posted by: Captain Hate at August 11, 2019 08:36 AM (y7DUB)

---
The NCAA was created to make sure everyone used the same rule book, nothing more.

But like all bureaucracies, it got into more elaborate rules of enforcement, most of which are utterly arbitrary and useless.

Lou Anna Simon, MSU's ex-president, called them out on this and publicly floated the idea of leaving the NCAA, which is supposed to be a voluntary association. Then the Nasser thing came to light, and it's still being treated as a college-based incident when it's actually entirely about a pervert doctor and poor medical oversight.

He just happened to use gymnastics as his victim pool, just like what happened with the Boy Scouts, and the Catholic Church.

So yes, the NCAA could toss down bans, but they don't, even when schools like NC openly break the rules like crazy.

And riddle me this: How can the University of Michigan fly its football players to South Africa, Italy and France on the off-season and not be bribing them? MSU got dragged because an agent bought a kid's mom lunch, but a booster spending a cool half-mil on an all-expense paid vacation? Totes in compliance.

269 Judge Jeanine had some prison guy on that said, no way Epstein should have been isolated after attempting suicide ... worst thing you can do to them. (That was brought up with Manafort, that isolation is like a form of torture) And that he should have been on suicide watch indefinitely ... said a decision to take him off might have gone all the way up to the AG, certainly up to the warden ...

Seems clear with maybe the "highest value" prisoner in the country in years, they should have someone right there with him the whole time. Maybe two people, one to watch the other, and if video was "malfunctioning" it is clearly planned. I have cheap video surveillance cams that have worked outside for ten years, still work.

Kicking them out one at a time would be too slow. Pack them into a C-130, all on the same long rope, with a noose around each neck. Then attach a heavy weight to the end of the rope, get to altitude, drop the cargo door, and kick out the weight.

I think things are changing regarding that. I'm noticing that priests that are super into gay ministries are now getting additional scrutiny.

Also, our diocesan newsletter seems to be taking a much harder line on teaching sexual morality.

There was story earlier this year that some priests were telling dirty jokes in the seminary and the *seminarians* reported them. The priests were suspended and a full investigation launched, complete with public requests for any information about victimization regarding them.

The current crop of priests is not going to tolerate this stuff. Which is a good thing.

After decades of trying, the left controls most of the institutions. Their now abusing that control, which undercuts there own authority.

When Clark Kellogg was at Ahia State there was a story in the local fish wrap about how the industrious young basketball star had gotten a license to sell insurance and had the wherewithal to sell a million dollar life insurance policy to one of the scions of the Galbreath family. Not so fast. Clinton claims that he only took four "trips" "in 2002 and 2003".

1) What's the definition of "trip"? A "trip" can consist of multiple flights, yes? How much time has to pass between flights before it counts as a separate "trip"?

2) He said "in 2003 and 2003", while saying absolutely nothing about other years.

You have to think like Bill Clinton here.
