Dammit!!!! Rollover and have sex with me. Genius Award Winner.

After her boyfriend said he was too tired to have sex, a Florida Woman allegedly grabbed a kitchen knife and slashed him multiple times on the arm and shoulder, according to a criminal complaint.

The confrontation between Jennifer Lee Chapman, 37, and her live-in boyfriend occurred around 5:45 AM Friday in the couple’s apartment in Dunedin, a Tampa suburb.

A sheriff’s deputy reported that Chapman and the 36-year-old victim “got into a verbal argument over defendant wanting to have sex and the victim did not because he was too tired.”

The governor of Puerto Rico is facing increasing calls to resign this morning. Last week brought corruption charges against top advisers of Governor Ricardo Rossello. And now a new bombshell - the release of hundreds of pages of chat messages between the governor and his advisers; messages that use misogynistic and homophobic language to refer to women, political opponents, the federal oversight board and even to make fun of Hurricane Maria's dead.

Biden is hoping his positioning as Obamacare's chief defender could be helpful on several fronts. It's a reminder of his close work alongside President Barack Obama, who remains popular among Democratic voters. And it could reinforce his pitch as a sensible centrist promising to rise above between the strident cacophony of Trump and Democrats including Sens. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris, all single-payer advocates.

Thousands of Bob Ross paintings finally found - and they're still not for sale.

The New York Times tracked the painter-turned-TV star's works to a company in Herndon, Virginia. The estimated 30,000 paintings Ross turned out for his show are at Bob Ross Inc.

While Ross' paintings aren't for sale, you will soon be able to view his works in an exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum of American History.

There's obviously more to the stabbing story than just refusal to have sex.

I'll bet she stabbed him because 1) jealousy and 2) she figured he was cheating. She figured the only reason he didn't want sex is because he was getting it from some other Ho.

Right? Right.

When I was a working teen, I had the pleasure of working with older low-lifes. One of these low-lifes had a girlfriend who always suspected he was cheating on her. So, every time he'd see her after a being at the bar all night, she'd, get this, sniff his pecker to check if he'd been with another girl.

He shared this, and other interesting tidbits of his life, with his colleagues.

91 of these low-lifes had a girlfriend who always suspected he was cheating on her. So, every time he'd see her after a being at the bar all night, she'd, get this, sniff his pecker to check if he'd been with another girl.

115 "Isolationist" is kind of a loaded term, and would caution against ever using it. The left prefers to define the terms in any debate. Don't let them do that. Call them out on it. What do they mean by that?

A policy of non-intervention makes sense.

It's part of a "false choice" style of argumentation. On any given issue, they will claim there are only two possible choices.

"We simply can't withdraw from the world, and look inward" and all the usual bullshit and thought ending cliches. Not getting balls deep into stupid civil wars on the other side of the world with no articulated compelling national interest, expending treasure and lives, stirring up hatred of the US, this is sensible foreign policy.

You can see how reflexive these MFers are. It's all political theater. When the Bushies were starting wars, they all claimed to hate the idea. Then when Mr. Trump decided that maybe we don't need to do this kind of thing, they all sound like Curtis LeMay. Weird, huh? The Democrats pretend to be against war, and the Republicans pretend to be against "welfare". It's all just a scam.

Pros: not antiCatholic as such, shows the Curia as the snakepit we all now know it is from books like Sodoma.

Cons: plays cards too close to the chest, so I don't know if I'm supposed to be rooting for this cynic or not. The opening scene is... stupid. I suppose it's a fantasy of a pope who looks at the Vatican establishment and just decides, screw it, let's burn it all down.

186 minorly edited re-poasted comment from last night:

way OT, but allowable, i think.

my Dad is undergoing spinal surgery at City of Hope in Duarte CA Monday, ~0800ish.

if the surgery does not solve the problem, and make it possible for him to be able to move about, etc, or even lie in bed, w/o excruciating pain, i'm pretty sure he will choose the hospice track in the next few weeks.

he's cardiac fragile, so strength for him, wisdom, skill and insight to his surgeons, and strength for the rest of the family.

i'm good: i don't think this opportunity to excel would have been given to me if i didn't have what it takes to do it.

/end OT bummer

anyone else need another beer?

Cheers! and BIAB.

201 So, McCartney...

It wasn't Yoko broke up the Beatles.

I haven't liked McCartney since I had to sit in a theater watching his giant punchable face singing that droning Let It Be or was it Hey Jude.

I've enjoyed a lot of what the other three recorded after the break-up, but after Paul's "songs I wrote as a Beatle" first album, I lost interest.

So I might be a tad prejudiced here.

Good to see Ringo. Weird to see Paul kept feeling him up.

When they finally started playing, Ringo's drums were like coming home. Then the rest of the band started...

um... well... I'll just say I didn't mind all that much when the video abruptly ended.

Thanks for sharing it, MH, for historical, novelty, and fan-nostalgia porpoises.

220 Why is it when a woman says she's not in the mood, men are supposed to say "Okay" and then go eat leftover ribs out of the fridge and watch late night sports highlights in their boxer shorts.

But when a man tells a woman he doesn't feel like having sex, the woman hires a private detective because all the girls in the office immediately say "He must be cheatin' on you guuuuurll", she scrolls through your cell phone, gives you the silent treatment for 3 days, asks you why you don't find her attractive anymore and starts talking about marriage counseling?

Re time-reversal asymmetry. That had to be the case in order to preserver the larger whole, CPT symmetry. If that fails, then Lorentz invariance will fail, which would be a BFD. It would mean Relativity is wrong.

So, if you've got CP violations, you've to to have T violations.

The reason the Universe has matter over antimatter imbalance is because of these violations somehow.

It means that if, say we lived in anti-matter universe, we'd be able to tell the difference somehow.

Seriously. The ESPN guys couldn't even discuss it with the most basic arguments correct. The talk is to start each half inning with runners on 1st and 2nd in the 11th if any game goes that far.

Baseball is already ruined so who cares, but what the shit happens to the statistics? They don't count? Do you get an RBI if a runner scores? Ok... how about an earned run? What about a run scored? So annoying but I only pay attention to baseball anymore because I like the odd bet on it. Whatever.

Japan has been so thoroughly defanged that even a major crisis wouldn't stir them much. Positive media portrayals of their current forces are denounced as right-wing propaganda. It would take a generation or two of not being under our military umbrella and continuing tense relations with neighbors for their population to even support ramping up their military to a level comparable to their economic power.

In a worst case scenario, say full on war with China, Japan would probably surrender in a matter of weeks if not days.

San Diego, circa '60s n' '70s.

Old to young, it didn't matter. A hard, proud and upright people, and the only way you win against them is to UTTERLY win against them.

This includes chess, poker and pre-BMX bicycle jumps at the bottom of steep San Diego hills, launched from home made suicide ramps.

(maybe that's why they were so good at that?)

Their society "appears" as Pacifist. It's in their (imposed) Constitution, they say!

Yeah. Right.

Corner them and threaten them with National annihilation.

Then let's see who yanks the "pacifist" handle, first.

Germany surrendered without being nuked.

Japan would have NOT surrendered, except for the nukes.

Put that into your Pachinko machine and pull the handle.

Yeah, that was for his CQB AR rig.

You wanna inquire as to the Nightforce glass that sits atop his F-Class competition rig?

I spent all I could (then) afford for the Vortex glass on my precision AR rifle.

Here's the thing. You can now, for about $400, buy some VERY awesome, sub MOA bolt action rifles, that'll really deliver the goods. At least for the first three rounds, before their skinny barrels heat up and start with the vertical stringing.

Go up to $1,500, and now you've got ALL of the Ruger Precision Rifles, Mossberg and Savage equivalents. Probably the Howa lineup, too.

These are rifles that are wicked good at 800 yards, and superior examples will be F Class Ready for 1,000 yard matches, right outta the box.

Your simply not going to grok that distance with anything less than a Leupold Mk IV, a Vortex Razor, Nightforce, U.S. Optics, or etc.

Nothing less than $2,000, not inclusive of mounts or rings.

Oh, and that Aimpoint? Go ahead and swim ashore with it, after your helicopter insertion from fifteen feet or so above wave level.

It'll still be functioning when ashore, even if you're not.

Watching Hitchcock. Julie Adams plays the wife of a couple with a little girl. They buy a house from a little old lady. A little old lady wearing a curious pointed hat.

That's a bad sign. Then the moving fan that brought their stuff was the Salem moving company. Another bad sign. Now, the little girl has an imaginary friend.

She makes up all kinds of stories they think, which the little girl claims her little friend told her. Her little friend drops the name of her aunt, with whom she claims to live.

They just looked up the name and found she was hanged back in the day for witchcraft.

I love Hitchcock.

I used to love Vanilla Wafers as a kid. I tried them again a few years ago and they righteously sucked. When I looked at the ingredients, I saw they used, instead of real vanilla, vanillin, a synthetic vanilla.

Maybe I'm weird, okay I'm weird, but I do not like 'imitation vanilla', only buying the real thing. I notice a difference in the depth and complexity of real vanilla over the fake stuff.

Now the question is: Why do they still get to all them 'Vanilla Wafers' instead of the accurate 'Vanillin Wafers'?

603 Vanilla and the South being mentioned earlier, couldn't help adding this trivial little tidbit - as someone born in one of Mississippi's remaining totally dry counties, one learned rather quickly how people who didn't want to directly challenge law enforcement chose to get around that.

Vanilla Flavoring. One of my uncles ran what could legitimately call a country store in the old sense of the word, and the little bit of profit he did make was from people desperate for a drink coming in and purchasing large quantities of that distinctively-bottled baking aid.

When folks spoke about late-Soviet-era Russians drinking perfume to get their alcohol fix, I ..... got it, but it still makes one shudder to think of it.

604 Added even more trivial item - the dry county in which I lived bordered on one wet county, and a store was opened right there on the county line. There was a broad, red line running through the middle of the interior, and you could cross over and purchase liquor legally on the wet side, but ran the prospect of arrest if you crossed back to the other side. (If an election was coming up, you'd sometimes even see deputies from the SO stationed over on the dry zone.)

If anyone ever has the hankering to see a map that rivals the Holy Roman Empire in its confusing and often contradictory details, check out the Mississippi Alcoholic Beverage Commission website. Counties where wine, but not beer can be purchased in some cities, country clubs that are somehow allowed an exemption from the rules, counties divided in half but with sales restricted to certain items on certain days at certain times....and then you get to the really complicated ones.

How the state managed to get casinos in still puzzles me, since the demographic that opposed that is also largely the same that's devoted to keeping the Magnolia State dry. I asked him how he got elected, and he explained that everybody in the village votes according to who they are related to.

And that year they were split 50-50

746 I find it interesting that Medicare for All is a proposed solutions for employment based insurance, an accounting and tax trick that Progressives used to get around their own price control rules.

Basic wages and salaries were easy to determine and negotiate in an open market. As workers were more productive and demanded better wages Progressives saw this as inflation (also less need for unions) and created complicated price and wages controls. But alas, like all Progressive schemes there came a change to tax regulations that made health insurance plans, when paid the the employer, we not an income tax burden to the employee. So now two people buying the same product paid two different prices depending on if one was an employee or an employer.

So Progressive policies lead to Progressive rules changes that in turn made employees more dependent on their employer while at the same time making directly purchased healthcare more expensive for everyone.

And to fix all of this the Progressive created Obamacare. A taxation plan that forced by law everyone to buy a plan independently or via employment. So now we have Progressive making their third play at controlling healthcare. The plan had 3 main features: 1) give Medicaid to able bodied single adults, 2) force everyone to pay up via tax or insurance, and 3) standardize coverage.

So now just 8 or 9 years later we see almost every Progressive demanding Medicare for All. Not 1 single plan, scheme, or rule to help Americans with their health and insurance has worked. Yet almost 50% of voters agree that the people that broke the system every fucking time they touched it should get another chance.

Yeah, I liked his tweets - he says what a lot of people are thinking. I am guessing what inspired this was the trash talk Omar and Tlaib made at Netroots Nation. My lappy hard drive hit the skids (I'd give you the exact error but quite frankly I don't remember it, but it's fucked). Windoze 8 does eventually boot up but then it doesn't do anything, I ran the diagnostic on it and basically it's toast.

So right now I've got an exact replacement coming, but I'm thinking about upgrading it to a solid state drive. Also since this is going to be a fresh start I think it's a good time to dive headfirst into Linux.

I've got a copy of Windoze 7 around here somewhere but the lappy came with 8, no product key, no software (which is one of the things I misliked/mistrusted about it from the beginning) so I can't just reload it, and I refuse to even contemplate the abortion that is 10. So my options are 7, which is next door to unsupported, or Linux.
