My understanding is this "pact" is blatantly unconstitutional, because the Constitution is a pact between all states, and we have a set of procedures to change the Electoral College, or any part of the Constitution already. This isn't it. Unless, of course, three-fourths of all states vote to call an Article V Convention. But this ain't that.

The Left is on a mission to destroy the Constitution these days.

25 Thanks a lot Horde.

Upon your council, I wrote a long email to a woman that I have long felt a connection to explaining to a great extent sort of what I feel for her.

She then wrote me back a proceeded to lay out systematically why it was that even though she had very similar feelings that she could not date me at this time, most ardently that I am dating a significantly younger woman and that she believes that I flirt with too many women at my job and that she feels as though it would make her jealous. She then went in to lay out a series of expectations she would have if we ever were to date.

67 Impeachment was predictable from the time Trump walked down the escalator. They would plot whatever was necessary to reach this point. And they did. The "Russian" hoax was simply the one they thought had best chance of confusing and frightening people and least chance of being refuted. It led to the Mueller/Weissman report, which they always knew would give them political cover. It was baked into the cake.

They can't govern, can't make deals, can't even conceive of policies that would help America. Destruction and power -- a modified Cloward-Piven strategy for stoking chaos, fear, rage -- is all they know.

I did that with Maryland because of their gun laws. They apparently have a system in place where they look specifically for out of town drivers with concealed carry permits. Even if you've got it locked up in a roof cargo carrier or something similar, you're still going to jail and spending a lot of time and money defending your audacity to drive through with a legal firearm.

Way to go, (R)s. Thanks for those tax cuts that will expire and not passing any other meaningful thing.

--

I saw a conversation on a car site about a $30K five or so year old Tesla with almost 100K miles on it. The pro-electric guys were, of course, talking about how great of a deal it was and how the warranty covers the batteries for another 25K miles, but the car ad itself said that the batteries and lots of other major components had been replaced *multiple* times. Yikes. And that's before you even get into the part where the batteries wear out and need total replacement due to time.

Yes that's the cost of a really nice Accord (even a hybrid if that's your thing), but it really got me thinking about long term ownership. Those cars are going to be unrepairable and unmaintainable by 99% of the buyers, and I doubt Tesla will be around long enough to keep them going.

Modern Saab, except without the GM engines and with a majority of parts no one can get or make.

To say nothing of the computer code controlling the upgrades, downgrades, and lockdowns.

Currently, the Maryland State Police grant or deny applications. And there is one final appeals process in place where a declined applicant can appeal the denial to a civilian review board.

That is our plan for the ammo, tools and other very dense items in the move.

We have to have the U-Haul to trailer Mrs VIA's 65 Mustang down anyhow, so the other stuff basically gets to ride for free.

Movers can take the firearms.

I could probably scale down on the amount of 7.62x54R that I have in spam cans.

That would bring down the weight a fair amount.

"how do they link a carry permit to a license plate? do all states do this?"

Many of them do.

If the registered owner of the vehicle is also a CC permit holder, it will pop during an electronic search of the license plate.

Posted by: Village Idiot's Apprentice at June 09, 2019 08:15 AM (cqNba)
I've heard the state can tie it to your drivers license. Which when they run your plate and see you are the registered owner, doesn't take but another minute to run your license. Some state's find a place in their drivers license DB to store the conceal carry permit.
Other states/towns will even use a MS-Access database to do this.

Another false report in the Failing @nytimes. We have been trying to get some of these Border Actions for a long time, as have other administrations, but were not able to get them, or get them in full, until our signed agreement with Mexico. Additionally, and for many years,....

.....Mexico was not being cooperative on the Border in things we had, or didn't have, and now I have full confidence, especially after speaking to their President yesterday, that they will be very cooperative and want to get the job properly done. Importantly, some things.....

.....not mentioned in yesterday press release, one in particular, were agreed upon. That will be announced at the appropriate time. There is now going to be great cooperation between Mexico & the USA, something that didn't exist for decades. However, if for some unknown reason...

.....there is not, we can always go back to our previous, very profitable, position of Tariffs - But I don't believe that will be necessary. The Failing @nytimes, & ratings challenged @CNN, will do anything possible to see our Country fail! They are truly The Enemy of the People!

246 In many ways the whole country is on the same path as IL, but states can't print their own money.

imo it is quite likely the huge US debt is worse than we know ... remember the $2T the defense dept couldn't account for ... then it became $6T ... some people that used to be high up in gov had others look into it and found $21T unaccounted for. Not just accounting errors, ... something else is going on.

China is doing that as well (even more of it), but no one wants the Chinese currency, so the USD remains the "reserve currency". The economic "wars" have to be backed by real military power, imo. But some oligarchs are getting mega-rich in the mean time, and they own much of our government (as we see with the Mueller coup).
