Korean drama is pretty good about that. Only exception I've seen is the wonderful series "Descendants of the Sun" that ended up tacking a few extra episodes on the end with a kind of mini-story just because it was so popular. Mini-story wasn't bad, but didn't add anything to the series overall, I think.

Like the previous two, if you are a fan of action you will see that stunts are extremely well done. He may appear to be making it up as he goes along, but Keanu had to rehearse this at a level that Hong Kong cinema would approve of. The film-makers in Hollywood who know the hours of work required are probably more gobsmacked than most people. There is almost no CGI.
The characters are fun and interesting. Ian McShane and Laurence Fishburne are back.
The plot is no more believable than the last two, but you knew that already. I watched it today in the afternoon in a full theater.

Serious answer: The show is based on a series of books, which are extraordinarily complex, with tons of characters, operating in several locations all at once. The shows that are based on the books, remain fairly true to the text, and contain drama, excitement, intrigue... and yes, sex.

They're worth watching.

The writer stopped however, about... what, three seasons before the show did? And the shows that have been produced since the story from the books ended, have been soap opera dreck.

Like him or hate him, Martin created characters, and managed to maintain some integrity to them for thousands of pages. HBO's team of writers? Not so much.

Saw earlier a May 2018 tweet from Zavid (? Iranian Defense Minister) saying if Eurpoeans don't start helping resurrect the deal he will start leaking how much was paid to whom to make the original deal happen. I would be amazed if may of the Obama people, including Brennan and Wendy Sherman (she's joining the the Congressional briefing this week) were paid very well -- probably their cut from the billions Obama sent in cash and gold.

Then we cut the cable because of cost.

There's thirty-four novels, so it's not as if you'll run out of material.

I found the ending to be satisfying.

There are wo terrific speeches. The first where Daenarys outlines her plan for ending history, just as soon as everybody who won't bend the knee to her is dead. It could have been written by every Communist from Marx on down. The other is by Tyrian, about the power of stories - which is absolutely correct. It's worth watching just for those.
And for laughs, Mike Nelson and the RiffTrax guys have riffed season one, episode one of GoT. I thought it was one of their better efforts.

I sort-of reviewed the Tarnsman book, the first one, over there. The first 2/3rds of it, which was as far as I got.

My verdict was, isekai manga fiction before the Japanese thought of doing it, and meh. I then got a flood of responses from moronettes informing me that, no, it didn't get better from there.

Dany was never going to get the throne or a happy ending. GRRM was always a troll who was always going to keep the series firmly in the low fantasy genre: horrible people making lesser ppl suffer. Those who wanted a high fantasy, Tolkien or Disney style ending, and did not realize he would never give it to them, were fooling themselves.

195 I was also one of those few people who were very pleased with the ending of GoT. Yes, the last couple seasons had some major writing problems and the pacing was annoying. But the ending was so conservative that it made me smile.

Dani was confirmed as a leftist tyrant whose utopian visions were unworkable. Jon was confirmed as an honorable man who was too good for this political game. Tyrion was changed by his experiences and actually wanted to do good for the people of the realm. Scotland, oops, I mean The North, got to be a separate country with their own regent and very close ties to 6 Kingdoms. And the 6 Kingdoms got better checks and balances in their oligarchy by establishing an electoral system for the Great Lords to choose a King. And hey - I like Brand / the Three Eyed Raven. Then Bran and Sansa tell all assembled the facts, call out the Unsullied for letting Danny Sully them by making them murderers of the innocent.

Jon continues to refuse the crown, the 7 kingdoms form a council of 7 to rule. The dragon melts down the throne (hey it was a good idea).
Danny is exiled and ends up dead at the hand of a child (Aria?) and we see that Bran has actually taken possession of the dragon (for the initiated, he has the ability to do that for animals and people) leaving the question, did the Dragon refuse to kill Tyrion and Jon, or did Bran prevent it...
