Expert Psychologist Specializing in Gender Dysphoria Suspended From Twitter For Publishing... Science

[Dr. Ray Blanchard] still affirmed the controversial idea that sex-change surgery is the "best treatment" for "carefully screened, adult patients, whose gender dysphoria has proven resistant to other forms of treatment," but he opposed "treating" children who may change their minds....
After this qualified statement of support, Blanchard explained his clinically-informed opinion that "sex change surgery should not be considered for any patient until that patient has reached the age of 21 years and has lived for at least two years in the desired gender role."
This call for a delay is controversial, as many transgender activists encourage hormonal and surgical treatments for minors, even children. Some researchers have received government grants to try such treatments on 8-year-old children, and a British transgender activist took her 15-year-old son to Thailand to get him castrated.

Although the Ph.D. psychologist supported sex-change surgery for 21-year-old adults whose gender dysphoria has persisted against other forms of treatment, he acknowledged that even post-operative transgender individuals are still biologically male or female beneath the surgical changes. No matter how good transgender surgery gets, a biological male still has X and Y chromosomes in virtually every cell of his body and a biological female still has two X chromosomes. No surgery or identity can alter this.

So trans-activists demanded that Twitter take his scalp, and Twitter -- which is now basically a trans-exclusive site -- gave them the scalp.

They've now reversed themselves, saying "it looks like we made an error," but only after a big furor and liberal-but-not-SJW Jess Signal repeatedly cited from the DSM-V manual, which calls gender dysphoria a mental illness, and begged Twitter to show its true ideological censorship stripes by banning him for quoting the best known current science on gender dysphoria.

52 I read an article by some transgender guy who regretted his decision and blamed the professionals for not just enabling him but encouraging him to transition. He understands that he has a mental condition and has transitioned back to being a man and continues with treatment he should have gotten before. According to data compiled by researchers from Northwestern University, Google's left-wing bias has been exposed

Researchers from Northwestern University have used an algorithm to study Google search results - and found an overwhelming left-leaning bias towards news outlets such as CNN and The New York Times, which the search giant repeatedly promoted in November, 2017 according to the Daily Mail.

Of the 6,302 articles that appeared in Google's Top Stories box during November, 2017, 62% were from outlets considered to be left-leaning. CNN constituted 10% of the news promoted, while the New York Times and Washington Post came in at 6.5% and 5.6% respectively.

Fox News, on the other hand, accounted for just 3% of promoted stories.

Pretty much, although that's not all. There's a lot of subtle and not-so-subtle psychology going on. Standing long-accepted logic on its head does a number on people and makes them doubt what they know is true. And when you do that to people, it opens the doorway to their mind which lets in all sorts of ideas that don't belong in there.

Naturally, that works best on the intellectually weak and those without a firm grip on reality. You know, the types of people that our edumacation system is busy churning out.

If you go back a generation, you will find that a lot of thinkers used to openly talk about so-called "Wicked Problems"; the definition of a "Wicked Problem" is that every solution causes more problems than it fixes.

example - starvation in sub-Saharan Africa is a "Wicked Problem". If you fix starvation, the fix increases overpopulation, which causes overcrowding and increases disease, all of which lead to social instability and civil wars, and you may end up with a higher death toll than if you'd done nothing.

Most of the really hard problems in the world are "Wicked Problems", which is why they haven't ever been fixed. People love the old line "well if we could send a man to the moon...." But sending a man to the moon was a simple engineering problem, with no negative consequences at all, other than being expensive. Easy peasy.

It was when a baby came out with genitalia so deformed and non-functional and Johns Hopkins had this perv mad-scientist doctor type who said, "hey, I got an idea, let's cut the dick completely off, redo the tissue into a fake vagina, treat him like a girl all his life, give him female hormones when he hits puberty, and no one will be the wiser." Well, the kids grew up depressed and suicidal. Unexpectedly! One of the guys who was butchered by this quack wrote book about it.

If you fix starvation, the fix increases overpopulation, which causes
overcrowding and increases disease, all of which lead to social
instability and civil wars, and you may end up with a higher death toll
than if you'd done nothing.

Overpopulation = another hoax. This planet isn't anywhere close to being full. Not by a long shot. And that was proven by the study a few years ago that said everybody on Earf could fit into high-rises in Texas and fed by a state the size of Oklahoma. Naturally, all that would be shoulder-to-shoulder, but it did prove a point even if it was off by 10 or 15%.

Any lie will do to promote the acquisition of power, regardless of how little sense it makes. The bigger the pile of bullshit, the better it seems to work.

306 @244. I hated "Robocop" -- gore and splatter justified by a thin story. Nothing I've ever seen from Verhoven has changed my mind that he's primarily interested in pushing his political fetishes over telling a good story.
