Representative Gaetz: Evidence That FBI Agents Were Paid Off by the Media For Leaks Will Surface Ahead of the Official DOJ Inspector General Report

Nothing but straight arrows at the top.

Rep. Matt Gaetz says evidence of FBI officials improperly receiving incentives from the media in exchange for leaks will soon come out.

During an interview on Fox News late Saturday, the Florida Republican said the Justice Department inspector general is examining the FBI's relationship with some members of the press. But, he said some of this information will be made public before the watchdog report's release.

"One of the other nuggets that the inspector general is working on is the corruption that existed between the media and members of of the FBI," Gaetz said. "Where members of the mainstream media were giving concert passes and athletic tickets and other incentives to people in the FBI to leak to them so we'll be seeing that even before we see the inspector general's report on how this fraudulent investigation began."

The Washington Examiner notes that some of this has already been reported:

The DOJ inspector general released a report last summer that found many FBI officials talking to the press and attending "social events" with the media during the investigation into Hillary Clinton's private emails, breaking with FBI policy limiting employees who are authorized to speak to the media.

In October, the inspector general released more information in a summary that said a senior FBI official, who had since retired, accepted tickets to a sports event from a television reporter who regularly covered the bureau.

The frightening thing was the speed with which some of them went back to overtly acting like shitbags under the prior administration. Aside from the really massive scandals like FF, the termination of the trafficker investigations to grease the Iran deal, etc, you also had a bunch of 90's-ish nonsense like what went on with the Bundys...
Yeah, I know the guy is varying degrees of clownshoes depending on where you stand, but just from that set of incidents alone you have agents hiding field ops (which were ultimately exculpatory evidence) from judges, surveiling local LEO's and raiding/locking down their dispatch centers to facilitate ambushes, seizing and shutting down HAM repeaters, shooting at people and attempting to hide that they did so, traditional informant provocateur nonsense, etc...
At least a bunch of case dismissals, jury exonerations, and criminal charges for agents stemmed from that. But does anyone really think that'd happen under another Clinton admin?

There was an appendix in the back of the previous IG report that showed the web of connections between Feebs and MFM. The appendix did not list names but almost all of them were using cell phones, so the IG knows their identities.

It has become quite apparent that the FBI HQ needs to be fumigated.

The judge said his leaking confidential info to the reporter wasn't criminal (even in exchange for sex?) so he was charged just with lying to the FBI.

Apparently the FBI has a different standard than the security guy of the Senate? Maybe it depends on what is leaked- information about ongoing investigation and/or in exchange for bribes.

And everywhere else in that shitty corrupt gestapo.

Still waiting for a single fat-pension-sucking whistleblower to resign in protest.

He might turn out good - he might turn out to be the Ukrainian Jesse Ventura, a clown who gets co-opted by all the usual suspects and ends making everything even worse.

More normal people instead of career politicians is a good trend.

270 I hope that Barr realizes that he gets the DOJ back to some semblance of respectability or 2016 was the last election people will accept. And I'm not prone to hyperbole. That's just how I see it.

271 Kelly was in some photo shoot in some crummy lad's mag a while back. Maxim or Stuff or whatever. Super hot, but also airbrushed and post processed to hell and back...

272 Relying on the DoJ and the Courts to prosecute the DoJ and the Courts is a fool's errand.

At this rate, the only way to clean this mess up is the time tested Soviet method. Have the military suppress the IC when it goes rogue.

274 The vast majority of people living on Sri Lanka survived the bombing, so we can classify it as a mostly peaceful protest.

281 Keep the FBI. Rename it the Federal Bankrobbery Investigation Department.

Set up a new federal department to investigate all other stuff the FBI did. Except it has a dozen individual independent departments covering the US. They do not have an overall HQ or leader, but twelve co-equals. And Washington DC is not one of the areas any one department has responsibilities for. It is administered by all twelve. The people sent there to investigate crimes are there for only 2-4 years, and are on their final terminal assignments, except they have to return to their original regional department for two years afterward.

No fiefdoms. No Praetorian Guards.

Repeat for the DEA BATFEIEIO and every other major agency.

Except for CIA, Education and Energy. Kill them entirely.

285 124 you know, not easy to think of someone who has destroyed their own reputation and their goodwill faster than the feds.

Depends on how long ago do you think they started working on it, don't it?
