I don't remember where I saw it. I searched Hillary "psychotic drunken rage," but didn't see anything I remembered reading, though there were many results. I think all the stories are from the same CNN reporter guy who had a story ready to go, but it was suppressed by his editors, as referenced in someone's book.

I find myself more and more gravitating to generic brands, dollar store stuff and WalMart.
When it's cheap, poorly made and imported from a China, the goal is to capture a share of the market through price point rather than marketing.
For this reason, nobody puts Transgenderjacks on my Sam's Choice paper towel packaging because that would require employing some overpriced marketing firm to design it as well as adding half a cent to the cost of the packaging production.
As I approach my 29th birthday again, I find the minimalist approach more appealing,

I have done it a couple times here in Kentucky. Never been rejected, but I think it is to weed out section 8 and more 'industrious' types. I know in Louisville, they had several complexes that had several units burned because people had gotten them just to use as meth labs.

Has anyone else had this experience? I know I can't be the only one.
Decided to clean my desk and surrounding area today. I was getting ashamed of the dust on the shelves of the hutch - it looked like a shaggy animal of some sort had taken up residence. So if I am gonna do this, I am not gonna half ass it, I'm gonna go thru all the drawers and sort and organize. I found keys to cars that went to the junkyard years ago, stuff I don't know what the hell it is or why I kept it, and stuff I needed to hang on to for a while (but a while was over 5 years ago).
The thing that really bugs me is keys that are "I-got-no-idea-what-this-is-for". Some of them are very odd sized/shaped. They aren't to my freezer. They aren't to my screen doors or my tool chest. They aren't to my gun safe or to any padlocks I have. I'm afraid to toss them 'cause the moment I do I'll find the damn thing they fit. I put them in a small container and stuck them in a back corner of my desk drawer just in case. I just can't quite bring myself to throw them out. What do ya'll do? How long do you keep stuff like this?

A month after I moved into the house, I heard something that sounded like a coin falling upstairs. Found this little bastard right in the middle of the hallway (nothing around it that it could have fallen from). I actually said out loud "oh fuck you, this better not be some haunted bullshit right here". Which is kind of a silly thing to say to yourself, and if you are in a ghost story, it pretty much guarantees that you're going to have a pretty bad night.

Possible hypothesis:
You are screening out more young adult workers from dangerous occupations after medical marijuana is legalized.
A lot of dangerous occupations have preemployment drug testing - either due to Federal regulation, or to protect themselves from later lawsuits.
When marijuana is completely illegal, people smoke less dope, and have a better chance of passing a drug test. With legal medical marijuana, they smoke every day, and are less able to pass a drug test (marijuana byproducts stay in your system for a considerable length of time).
Secondary hypothesis:
More firms in dangerous occupations engage in preemployment drug testing after medical marijuana is legalized, since chronic dope smoking becomes more common in job applicants.
Either way, fewer chronic dope smokers are employed in dangerous occupations, and the accident rate goes down.

There's a little tiny door in the loft, about 3'x2' but it goes into a crawlspace sort of thing between the master bedroom and the radio shack, and it's got a hook clasp, not a key. If it's haunted, at least the spirits have had the decency not to mess with the dual-band vertical antenna that fits perfectly in there.

When we cleaned out their basement, I don't know how many pieces of 12/3 wire I found measuring 8"-16", 2x4 pieces under 16", so on and so forth. The 2 bathroom faucets that had been removed were saved as well.

Corgi are fun to watch herd. They do good, but if the sheep take off and split, they can't recover. IIRC they were bred as drovers for cattle. That makes sense to me, they could nip low to get the cattle moving and any kicks would go over their heads.

Both sets of grandparents were like this. My Dad's parents were probably a bit worse. My Dad said he had never seen his father buy a new spark plug ever. I can remember on several occasions him cleaning and then re-gapping the old ones. He had some sort of automatic cleaner thing with brushes inside it. And he soaked everything in gasoline.

This went on for a bit, and one night it was my wife who left the room and came back, looking kind of puzzled. She said "you know sometimes I smell cigarette smoke here?" And I said let me guess, it's always right next to that little railing on the landing, isn't it? and she "yes, there and never anywhere else." and she said she didn't know why, but she had the impression that an older gentleman with a hat was just standing there, having a smoke. She didn't "see" him, exactly, but she said she felt him.
Hasn't happened in a couple years - maybe he decided we were fine with this house, and he didn't have to keep an eye on us anymore.

I've had a similar experience here. Every once in a while when I'm sitting in my chair I can smell my father's pipe tobacco. My father passed in 2010, he had been to this house, well after he quit smoking his pipe, he quit late 80's/early 90's, my wife will smell something somewhat sweet then, too, but she didn't know him when he smoked his pipe so can't identify the aroma as that. Strange.

Right after my... situation... blew up at my state job in 2010, after (yes) an attractive co-worker, I was assigned, at my counseling center, a young psychologist who was, yes, IMHO good-looking. I would have asked her out, if I thought I had any chance, I had any self-esteem left, and if she wasn't my counselor.
Anyway, she was quite helpful, especially with regard to keeping me from becoming entirely bitter and hateful about women.
But one thing she DID tell me is, yes, women CANNOT stay friends with men they know are attracted to them. She explained, it's way too awkward and difficult. She also told me the 'let's stay friends' thing is pretty much entirely a Hollywood fantasy.
So, I owe her for telling me the truth about that, at least.

Women have more considerations than men. Could be a "I didn't shave my legs" or "it's not a good time right now" or a "I have to show some standards" or any other number of things she is taking into account.
Men are more like impulse buyers. It's kinda like "she seems to not be psychotic or drug addicted, I'm all in!" type of attitude.

People in ALaska have been growing weed in their homes for decades. It used to be legal there back when it wasn't legal anywhere - years and years ago - legal to grow up to four plants or something and lots of people did. People grow weed all over the place.

My throat couldn't take it. It was either weed or cigarettes ... and the fact is that the weed was much worse for my throat than the cigarettes. Besides, it was easier to stop smoking pot.
Then I went and stopped smoking cigarettes a few months ago. I would think of smoking pot again but I always especially loved smoking cigarettes while I was high. Oh well. I had my fun.

I only finally checked out San Manuel in 2017, after not visiting since about 1999. Everything was completely different, and not necessarily better.
Then there's Harrah's Rincon, which is easily SoCal's tiniest Indian Casino (also IMHO). You can work your way across the entire floor in an hour, I think. Good grief. :-P

Actually, the "bullet-nose" Studebakers of 1950-51 were not a marketing fail. Two of their best sales years, ever. Partly pent-up demand post WWII, of course, but the styling was new and fresh and forward-looking.

I was just about to question that, too. Usually, higher octane (in an engine that requires it) gives better mileage. With today's huge gap between regular and premium, though, it's not miles per gallon that counts, it's miles per dollar.

My car has 13:1 compression. In the old days that meant race fuel. This car runs fine on regular, and when I run premium I don't notice any difference in MPG. I don't know how the hell they build 13:1 engines that run regular gas. I mean I know, I'm just frigging amazed. The muscle car is 10:1 and it gets really unhappy if it don't get premium, and it just gets by on today's premium.

Well yeah, the new car got aluminum heads, fuel injection, variable cam timing, etc. The old car is a cast iron block and heads big block, carburetor, 1 vacuum hose. Old tech verses new.

Around here depending where you go its only around 40 cents give or take. The old car loves the Shell premium V-power stuff, but that shit can be 30 cents more than other premiums, around $3.30-3.50 a gallon last I looked That V-power is pretty amazing in the old sled. It lives up to its hype.

Yeah we can get it. There is an airport here that has it. Its not too expensive, it was around $4.50 last summer. I think its around 100 octane and is low lead. Some of my friends run it in their older muscle cars. It smells good. lol

So this cart was one of those with a seat in the back for a kid. Instead, it had three adult M's, one crouched down in the front, one sitting in the kid seat, and the other pushing the thing. They acted like what they were doing was as normal as can be. They even made a point of sliding up to the register with a line and loudly asking if the store had "pasteurized eggs" No one knew what they were talking about, but i did. Pasteurized eggs are used by really scared people for making raw egg nog. Anyway, they acted like what they were doing was completely normal, and I am sure that was the point. Normalize our weirdness or else!
Someone else in line said something to the checker and I said, "well it is 2019 and EVERYTHNG is normal now". I later said in a normal era, someone would throw them out. She countered that she only was concerned about them getting hurt.
I said loudly that this is just like people in stores who allow their kids to scream and act as if it is nothing. She responded that it often works to ignore them. I told her that "back in the day" they did it other ways and you didn't see so many kids screaming at the top of their lungs in stores.
This was no big thing, it happens every day. But when we try to convince people about politics or even normal adult behavior, we have to realize that many, and possibly most, don't agree there is any such thing as proper behavior.
I did notice a few nods when i called out aberrant, infantile behavior by adults. But they all stood quietly and went along to get along. No one stands up anymore, it is just not worth it to them. Even stores that could get sued will never tell someone they are acting like a bunch of asses. It is better to just take it and move on.

I once postulated an all
too real Army platoon that was very diverse. They had Vietnam vets,
guys from the Old Guard, Marines, vets from Grenada. They also had
college kids and kids from the farm. Now that platoon was diverse and
it helped them. These people could draw from other's experiences and
improve their overall effectiveness.
It
is a generalization, but the average active duty platoon is much less
diverse, mostly high school grads and some NCO's with more experience.
The point it is that diversity can improve results and I doubt many here
would disagree.
OTOH, if you had a
group of the ten greatest rocket scientists. Would you believe that
cutting five from the group to create an arbitrary diversity would help the mission? If you already have the best, would warping the
thing on political lines make it more effective?
I
could go on and on but wont. What the political left want's is to use
diversity as a cudgel that gives them power. If that cudgel doesn't
give them the power they want, they will use another. They don't want diversity they want the destruction of opposing opinions.
We
were a national that said e pluribus unum. We were to make one of
many. Now the left wants us to have no unity of spirit and no unifying
cause. We are supposed to be a weigh station of divided groups and
divided interests. Franklin said we gave you a Republic, if you can
keep it. The society we have wrought today seems to want to not keep
it.

It would be great if Nixon's Silent Majority stood up and slapped the leftists down. I have my doubts, but it would be great. I think what we are heading to is a peaceful separation. I think a lot of people are going to have to move even though it is a pain in the ass. It was common after ww2, but now it seems to be oh so hard for whatever reason. Well, there may be little choice and people will have to make some arrangements. That is not what i want, but at some point if to peoples are so divided, they would be better off living separately vs. trying to triumph over each other.

Don't forget that the is most likely an attack sub in the vicinity of that Battle group. We almost always had one trailing us back in the day and they still do that.
With the exception of some parts of coastal SE Asia there is literally no threat to a Carrier Battle group anywhere in the world at this time.
Found a picture of Battle Group Alpha heading to the Gulf in 88 the other day. A Carrier, Battleship, two cruisers, three destroyers, two frigates and two fleet oilers. Now that was a Battle Group.

I still have hope but you are not wrong. These people don't want us to be tolerant they want us to be servile. There was a time not long ago when al the left claimed to want was equality. No, they want our views smashed and thrown on the ash heap of history.
What are our options today really? We could win a few elections in a row but the real work would be getting patriots into education, entertainment, and themedia en masse. Does that seem likely? Has anything ever moved forward on that front? Even the Tea Party was snuffed out by whatever.
What I envision is a peaceful separation with a more libertarian central government. We can come together on some things like defense; but the rest we leave to the states and various regions.
I hope there is a change of heart where Americans come together, that would be the best outcome for sure. But like you said, these people don't want to leave us alone, leaving us alone is the last thing they want to do.

It is absurd privilege that makes no sense no matter how you slice it. The Dems only care about getting 51 percent of the vote and if this helps them cobble together a wining coalition, they will go all in. The Repubs do the same thing a lot so there is that. The swamp has never stunk more.
We need to be reducing government power no matter who is in charge. Reagan warned us about government, and those who ignore those warnings will pay in the end.

It is a mistake when I pay taxing on money I did not earn or spend but I have left my 401k light over the years. Probably about 20% of my net worth. The rest is in my name my account not under some ira they can attach. However, if they want those cash fund not much I can do!

It might be worth deeper research to find out what the man was really concerned about. I would guess it was political influence but even there I have doubts he was against the Cold War.
It is kind of like Washington and "foreign entanglements". Yet he was pretty quick to align with Britain against France.

Sorry to say but @foxandfriends is by far the best of the morning political shows on television. It rightfully has BY FAR the highest ratings, not even close. Morning Psycho (Joe), who helped get me elected in 2016 by having me on (free) all the time, has nosedived, too Angry...
....Dumb and Sick. A really bad show with low ratings - and will only get worse. CNN has been a proven and long term ratings and beyond disaster. In fact, it rewarded Chris Cuomo with a now unsuccessful prime time slot, despite his massive failure in the morning. Only on CNN!

For example - one bomber equals one school. Secondly, he warns that the military would seek to keep spending levels high even if the need for high levels didn't exist .... as the military wanted the power and industry wanted the contracts.
Eisenhower was no free market guy ... he didn't really talk about government not spending the money at all. But he did talk about other things government could use the money for.

I am going to do more research on the subject. Eisenhower was a great leader and president, there is no doubt there. It is pretty obvious that people pluck out specific quotes and use them to their own devices, just look at the 2A and "militia". I could see Eisenhower being concerned about the dawning nuclear age for good reason.
I studied this guy a bit but not this specific quote. My guess is that context is king here.

Thanks for the info. I guess he spoke about what he knew, and defense contractors have always tried to make the most they can from conflict. Maybe he underestimated how teacher unions can spend? I will look more into this but again thanks for the info.

The problem was the tire itself! Apparently the tread was about to part company with the rest of itself. They replaced just the one, since we were in a time crunch (needed to check out of the hotel and the dealer service people weren't moving very fast) and put the last old tire on the back left instead of front where it had been put when I got two new tires a month ago.
Did I mention both trip and story were long?
About 400 miles later, just south of Oklahoma City I decided I didn't like how the van was still bouncing, but in the back, so pulled into a Walmart with a tire service and asked them to replace that last old tire. Service guy said the interior belt (?) had broken. He said it was unusual but had seen it from that company on tires for his personal vehicle. He recommended keeping the tire and seeing if there was a warranty, but we weren't packed in a way to make adding a dirty tire to the interior work well.
So that's why the trip was *even longer* but not exciting. Trying to limp along at progressively slower speeds would have been horrible, and the potential for final disaster in Dallas construction where there *is* no shoulder would have been high. Glad to be home.
