Saturday Morning Coffee Break

rise-shine-20170526-111.jpg

***

It's the weekend! Woot-Woot!!! Caffeine and a look at things that didn't get too much attention here at the AoSHQ this past week.

***

  • I wonder what his BAC was?

  • Someone needs a better hobby.

  • On the bright side he doesn't f*ck couches.

  • Capitalism, you have love it. Amirite?

  • Somebody doesn't know what "shame" is.

  • No word if bluebell was in China.

  • What did I come into this room for?

  • Whatever happened to location, location, location?

  • Free alcohol. J/K.

Enjoy these stories or anything else you would like to discuss this morning in this open thread. Just a few rules: Don't tease the 'ettes too much; don't piss in the pool and no running with sharp objects. Enjoy!!!

A number of stations will cut that scene out. Hell, this past St. Patrick's Day, in the movie The Quiet Man, TCM cut out the scene of the woman handing John Wayne a stick to beat the lovely lady with. Well fuck that; you can't have a sovereign nation with open borders. That isn't a difficult concept to grasp and if they obdurately believe otherwise, that's a problem they have to come to grips with. Any candidate should be scrutinized hard on that issue.

23 (AP) - By now, most Democratic presidential candidates have polished their stump speeches. But when they're in South Carolina, they may need to add in a sermon.

In a large and diverse primary field, White House hopefuls are angling to develop relationships with black churches. That's because success in South Carolina, home to the nation's first Southern presidential primary, could come down to connecting with politically influential churchgoing African Americans.

24 I expected the Paris protests to be subdued today...seems not subdued at all.

Some of the 'protesters' aren't doing it peacefully, especially when they are burning stuff and wearing full face black masks. Too bad we have no journalists to determine who exactly is doing the burning and who is simply protesting peacefully.

Romney can be seen essentially as a fraud, because he is, but the "Trump says bad things, and is oh so crude" is apparently viewed as a winning political tack for the likes of Mittens.

I don't buy it, but his consultant class might be selling it to him, and he's dumb enough to buy it.

Mittens would have won Utah's Senate race, even if he had used EXACTLY the same language as Trump for the past 2+ years, but the one thing we know, the one thing that is provably true, is that Mittens listens to his political consultants... even when they are 100% wrong, as they were in 2012.

180 Mittens would have won Utah's Senate race, even if he had used EXACTLY the same language as Trump for the past 2+ years, but the one thing we know, the one thing that is provably true, is that Mittens listens to his political consultants... even when they are 100% wrong, as they were in 2012.
    -------------------------
Yeah, that's pretty pathetic. It shows him as an intellectual weakling who's easily influenced by others instead of his inner sense of right and wrong. And his handlers know that.

Which makes him the exact wrong person to have power, especially in these times.
    Posted by: BackwardsBoy says #PurgeProgressivismBAMN at April 20, 2019 09:59 AM (HaL55)

Yep. He was entrusted with that role in 2012, and lots of us thought "well, the man apparently is principled, and even where I don't agree with him, I can respect his ability to do what he believes is right."

And then he went and screwed everyone over. There is NO reason Obaba should have won a second term, and the damage done by that is immeasurable.

Romney is the single greatest American political failure of my lifetime. No exaggeration.

184 Romney can be seen essentially as a fraud, because he is, but the "Trump says bad things, and is oh so crude" is apparently viewed as a winning political tack for the likes of Mittens.

I don't buy it, but his consultant class might be selling it to him, and he's dumb enough to buy it.

Romney's gutlessness was on display when one of the JEF's whore cuntsultants, Hilary Rosen, took a cheap shot at Ann Romney's horse riding therapy for whatever serious disease she has (early MS maybe) during the 2012 campaign. Here was a perfect opportunity to put the Bathhouse Rat on the defensive by having to justify badmouthing a good hearted person out of pure political spite, but Dudley DoRight Willard could deviate one iota from his script like a retarded parrot to act like a normal human being.

I lost what little semi respect I had for that razor cut turd then.

185 This whole Notre Dame thing has me thinking a bit about-

    1) How nice it must be to actually have members of the Super Rich Elite who have at least a speck of cultural pride, nationalism, and love of country.

Instead of, you know, use their vast wealth to tear their country apart and promote civil/political violence. Not to mention trying to destroy the culture of their country (See stupid Kate Smith controversy du jour.).

    2) The response of the French Retarded Left to these patriot billionaires remain me of the US Retarded Left's response to the US Space Program:

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2019

    /04/18/notre-dame-cathedral-fire-billionaires-

    donations-spark-backlash/3514968002/

    (remove extra spaces)

    And that is-

Wherever and whenever massive amounts of money are being spent-

    their greed gets uncontrollable.

They practically drool over the prospect of funneling that money through their "programs" which will put more money and power in their pockets.

Who cares about a musty old cultural icon and symbol of France? Just bulldoze it down and give us your sweet sweet money (which you don't need) so that we may dip our beaks all along the way.

    Progtards/libtards/Democrats/communists/
socialist are all, every single one of them horrible, envious, greedy people.

In the US, they destroyed the Space Program, which hugely benefitted everyone in the country directly or indirectly,

just to get their hands on that money so they could "help the poor" and "end poverty",

    Surprisingly, that didn't work out.

    Sad.

301 Insom's comment made me think of this:

    Malachi 3:13-16

What have we spoken so much against thee? Ye have said, it is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts? And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, those that tempt God are even delivered.

Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD heartened and heard it...

The whole book is good reading for these days. I was struck by: the evil prosper, God's people suffer. Then God's people spoke often. I speak very little and will take to heart this advice to speak with God's people often.

201 So Pelosi and Dems are admitting there is a crisis at the border now. It is time to start a public shaming of these people and the media (Acosta) for trying to convince the convinceables that one does not exist. It was all politics, all along, and in the meantime Americans have been suffering the consequences. So too have the children and females that have been and are continuing to be exploited by those instigating the caravans, etc. Ya know, if any of the so called media hacks would do an honest story on the unimaginable crimes being committed by these thugs, they might, might begin to rebuild the media's reputation as news orgs. If they would reveal the shits coming across from all of the terrorists countries maybe the American sympathizers would finally be as disgusted as the rest of us. Educating Americans used to be part of the media's job. Too bad it is only propaganda for the Dems now. We could really use a real media these days. James whatshisface has done a great job in exposing all sorts of things, like the planned butcherhood body parts stuff but his exposure is brief and limited. The truth needs a broad platform.

249 Regarding history unfolding before you, the humorist Robert Benchley wrote a short essay entitled "...And I Shall Probably Be Wearing a Bowler", in which he observed that in every photograph of a major historical event, like an assassination, there are crowds of people reacting in horror, everyone pointing to the disaster in progress, but there's always some clueless guy looking at his pocket watch or poring over train schedules, totally oblivious. And he is almost always wearing a bowler hat.

Benchley just knew that if he was caught on camera at some Big Turning Point in History that he would be staring off and wearing a bowler.

281 People are missing the second part of the Mueller Report is unprecedented. It is hearsay, not fact and has not been tested in a court of law. Mueller's job as a prosecutor was to rule yes or no. He didn't and knew exactly what would happen with his friends in the press and Democrat sponsors if he didn't. Now you have this circus of buffoons running around playing prosecutor and misrepresenting the truth. It is a direct attack on our republic and the constitution.

That's why both Barr and Rosenstein disagreed with Mueller on the so called obstruction nonsense. Reaching a simple yes or no is, and always has been, a key part of the prosecutions job. They know exactly what Mueller was doing and therefore had to fulfill their duty according to statute.

The president has been fully exonerated. He should move on and let the democrats continue descending into madness. There are so many thing he can promote and continue to accomplish while the clown car keeps driving into the collusion wall.

Posted by: Calm Mentor at April 20, 2019 10:35 AM (ffYR/)

It's even less than that: it is the difference between Trump ordering someone to "fire" Mueller or Trump stating that Mueller should be recused/removed because of his conflicts and was frustrated about it. McGahn claims Trump said Mueller should be removed because of conflicts, but then McGahn told others that Trump told him to "fire" Mueller (which may be the way he interpreted the discussion).
Trump took issue with that characterization and said he never ordered McGahn to fire Mueller, which makes sense: If Trump wanted Mueller fired, he could have and would have done it himself.

Politics is like Vegas magic shows. You can see what they're doing, if you look hard enough. What they say, doesn't matter. When they're waving their hands around, or setting off smoke, and setting up mirrors, and parading bimbos in front of you, all of that is to distract from what's really going on... the trick is to pull the rabbit (or card or whatever) out of the hat, right in front of you, without you noticing how it got there.

So the Dems are up to one of two things, really. I don't know any other explanation at this point: They're SURE Trump is going to be reelected, so they're whooping it up, acting like they're fighting him, when they know damn well the fight is already over... or, they're preparing to unveil the REAL form of the destructor, at some later date, and it'll totally be a surprise you guys, and nobody could have seen it coming, and how did they get that thing there, with nobody noticing??

That's just brilliant. She doesn't know it, but she's admitting the truth: The Dems have nothing. They're empty. Dry. Used up. They wasted two plus years on a big fat empty lie.

    Have fun with that.

Ellis is interesting now because he has come out against PC culture.

Rex Reed -- who knew he was still alive and writing movie reviews? I guess if they revive Hollywood Squares or Match Game he will find a new lease on life.

I will say that back in the day he would give brutally honest reviews of art films that had all the Right People swooning.

467 "Obstruction" is a very thin screen the uniparty is using to cover treason. Do trolls know they will be hunted down and slaughtered first? It's because they are easy.
Posted by: Balrog of Morgoth at April 20, 2019 11:27 AM (FTPVM)

I truly hope obstruction is the Democrat word of choice for the next year and a half.

You know who absolutely loves cooperating (and not obstructing) the law?

    Black people, that's who.

They love cops and cooperating with prosecutors and always telling the truth about what they know and when they knew it and totally never ever get railroaded by the legal system that is out to create crimes by the very process of investigating non-existent crimes.

Every Democrat pol in every district, for every race oughta run on how bad obstruction of justice is.

Go into those black churches and preach it, Democrats.

Those cold, angry looks on the faces of the congregation just means they agree with you.

    Do it. Please.

469 Media can't give up the Left's dreams of Impeachment. They're too far committed. So the likes of Schiff and Nadler will still get airtime.

When they say they're not biased, just say Avenatti.

Can't wait for the counter attack, which Media is ignoring. Trump as mus=ch as tweeted that the likes of Comey will be jailed for treason.

    473 Posted by: Truthteller at April 20, 2019 11:15 AM (9ogIP)

    Meh.

Two things are at play here:

    1) If non-politician Trump can do it, so can I!

Well, no. Trump was a hard-nosed businessman working for years under a corrupt Democrat regime and, for the most part, winning.

He knew exactly who they are.

Plus, he spent years building his brand among media types. He knows exactly who and what they are as well.

So, Trump already had the leadership skills honed for decades and the skills to work the media and make himself liked.

He wasn't some clown who rode in on nothing more than kissing the right asses to get Big Leftard Money to back him. (See AOC, Kameltoe, Bernie, etc)

    2) The Bill Clinton Factor:

Clinton jumped in the race against GHW Bush when no one else would because Bush poll-wise looked like a lock.

This corrupt little governor from a corrupt little state who gave lousy speeches, got the Obama treatment from the MSM before there was an Obama and won.

At this point in the game, anyone anyone can play for minimal expense and time.

    Why not roll the dice?

These people are not that smart. They always do the same things others did before.

Sidenote: Truthteller is an incredibly lame-ass nick. and labels you as a humorless, hatchet-headed troll with no ability to consider any other viewpoints.

    Sad.

474 "You know who absolutely loves cooperating (and not obstructing) the law? "

Di Blasio got elected NYC mayor because he played to minorities anger over Bloomberg taking Giuliani's Stop and Frisk and increasing it six-fold. If the cop found your dime bag you got 20 hours or more in a Central Booking holding pen waiting to get processed. And every minority had a relative that went through that.
