The History Channel this week ran a documentary type of show of what all goes into SS protection of the president. They were permitted to be embedded with the SS for Trump's first State of the Union speech and his trip to rallies prior to his election and his trip to Asia last year visiting six countries. Hour and a half long, and very interesting. I am much more comfortable with the SS after watching it than prior. It is amazing the number of people and teams that are involved and coordinate any time Potus goes anywhere. The minute he steps out of the WH, even just on the steps or in the Rose Garden, there are scores of counter snipers on roof tops, etc. along with agents on the ground. Well worth watching either online or on cable/satellite.

A whole LOT of that got funneled through the EPA, through a very clever scheme of Court approved agreements. Get this - it's not real. It was written by Oscar Hammerstein for the Sound of Music, but it the verisimilitude was such that people think it's a real Austrian song... it's American.

They are *Furious* that Barr laid out an explanation of Trump's actions, which Mueller had said "might be" obstruction, which explained them as all stemming from Trump's obvious frustration with the process. There is actually a serious legal point that he's attacking here, which the MSM is too stupid to even pick up on.
"Obstruction of Justice" is one of those crimes which depends almost completely on the State of Mind of the defendant, as opposed to what they did. The accused is either guilty or innocent based on his State of Mind - which is a big reason why these are squishy, bullshit charges when they're not connected to any other crime. To be guilty, a prosecutor must prove that the Accused deliberately Intended to block the investigation, for purposes of self protection.
BUT - if the "state of mind" of the defendant is simply frustration and anger, then there is no Mens Rea to prove Intent to Obstruct Justice, and any legal case on those grounds falls apart. That's the foundation that Barr was laying.
The left is incredibly frustrated that Barr chose this explanation - they don't really understand why yet, but they know it's bad for their side. And it is.

I've finally gotten an explanation on this. The song is also the theme music for the Amazon show "The Man In The High Castle", which all the elite class watches and nobody else does. That show is about if the Nazis won WW2, and so Trump is promoting a time machine to make Hitler win or something.

He first turned it down, and only agreed to do it because Julie Andrews was involved and he got to rewrite the script because he thought in the original script the Captain was too wishy-washy. For decades he called it "The Sound of Mucus", despite the fact it pretty much made his career. It took around 40 years but he finally accepted it was a well-done film and part of his legacy.
Fun fact: Yul Brynner really wanted the role of Captain von Trapp.

You really think not a single person affiliated with the Clinton
