The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

Every decent man is ashamed of the government he lives under. H.L. Mencken

Quote II

“We had clear lines between ‘this is alive’ and ‘this is dead,’” “How do we now think about this middle category of ‘partly alive’? We didn’t think it could exist.” Nita A. Farahany, a bioethicist and law professor at Duke University

Quote III

"Like similar state and local laws that have been used to prosecute cake artist Jack Phillips and florist Barronelle Stutzman, this federal law would force Americans to participate in events and speak messages that violate their core beliefs. Tolerance and respect for good-faith differences of opinion are essential in a diverse society like ours." Greg Baylor, Director of the Center for Religious Schools

This is a rerun from last night. Someone goofed up last night. We won't mention any names will we Mis. Hum.?

As us 29 year olds approach Medicare and Social Security eligibility, we must pay attention to the little details.

Long-time readers may recall our series of interviews with attorney Kent Brown about his lawsuit against the Fed's "because Social Security officials claim that folks must forfeit their Social Security benefits if they withdraw from (or choose not to enroll in) Medicare."

[ed: Original and follow-up posts are here and here]

One would think that since neither of these are in any way legislatively connected, this would be a non-issue.

One would think that, but one would be incorrect:

"Is there something in the original Medicare legislation that dictated this? Surprisingly, the answer is no ... Nothing in the Social Security or Medicare statutes state that one must take Medicare in order to receive Social Security payments (or vice versa)"

So how did this come about?

Two words: Washington, DC.

So the little Canadian pussy needs our help? Trudeau wants to crack down on immigrants.

There’s no wall or checkpoint or regular guard at the end of Roxham Road, just a footpath to the border. In recent years, this trail has been the busiest unauthorized crossing into Canada, a well-known back door for tens of thousands of people seeking asylum in a country that projects itself as a haven for refugees.

Canada has largely tolerated their arrival. But with an increasingly close election on the horizon, the Liberal government of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau - a global figure of welcome for refugees - is signaling plans to crack down. And they're asking the United States to help.

Just about everybody enjoys a spectacular photo. And today's narcissists want to be in that photo. And in the meantime are caught up in a destructive behavior.

A recent report found that 259 people died between 2011 and 2017 while stepping in front of the camera in often dangerous destinations. Our writer went deep on the psychology of selfies to figure out what's behind our obsession with capturing extreme risk-taking.

It began as retribution for a lost bet: in 2014, Gigi Wu, an experienced hiker from Taiwan, posed atop a snow-covered mountain, clad only in a bikini. The stunt resulted in a series of undeniably gorgeous photos. So Wu, a model and adventure sports personality, kept at it for the next four years, photographing herself on the summits of more than 100 of Asia’s most impressive peaks, always in a bikini. The images are at once absurd and beautiful, a juxtaposition Wu told Taiwan TV that she adored.

If I were young, adventurous and not allergic to hay I would move here.

FOR OVER A YEAR, THE Channel Islands community of Sark has been importing their milk from elsewhere. According to the BBC, the community is currently looking for someone to put an end to this nonsense and bring dairy production—and a herd of cows—back to the island.

Sark is three miles long and a mile-and-a-half wide, free of cars and streetlights. Around 500 people live on the island, surrounded by a rocky cliff-lined coast accessible by ferry and boat, under a sky dark enough for the stars to twinkle at night. Sark’s last dairy farmer, Christopher Nightingale, shut his operation down in 2017 due to rising costs and a lack of land stability: The island is still led by a seigneur, or feudal lord (currently, Christopher Beaumont). While feudalism formally ended on the island in 2008, old habits die hard. Farmers on Sark must still lease their land on a short-term basis, which makes it difficult to plan a sustainable business.

Vaxxers vs. Anti-Vaxxers

Five unnamed mothers in New York City filed a lawsuit Monday, April 15, seeking to block the city's mandatory vaccination order in areas hit by a massive measles outbreak that has raged since last October.

City health officials announced the order earlier this month as they declared a public health emergency over the outbreak, which has sickened 329 people so far—mostly children. According to the city's order, all unvaccinated people in affected ZIP codes must receive the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine, prove immunity, or have a valid medical exemption. Violators could face a fine of $1,000.

As ever, The ONT is always looking out for you. Why you shouldn't mix booze and pot.

“Beer before liquor, never been sicker”—by now (and probably from personal experience) we all know this rule to be true. But when it comes to alcohol and weed, where’s our helpful rhyme?

As Vice writes, every person copes with alcohol and cannabis differently, so while you may be fine mixing both substances, your friend may be tripping balls in the very same room. While the subject of cannabis and alcohol’s combined effect is largely under-researched, there are a few things worth knowing before diving under the influence.

No mention how much this virtue signaling is going to cost you.

Adidas has introduced a new sneaker that it’s calling the first of its kind. Named the Futurecraft.Loop, it’s a performance running shoe that can be 100% ground up and melted back into raw materials for a brand-new shoe—without any waste.

The sneaker is part of Adidas’s attempt to address the grave environmental threat posed by plastic, which increasingly clogs landfills and suffuses our oceans. At a presentation in New York today to reveal the shoe, Eric Liedtke, an executive board member in charge of global brands at Adidas, noted that every piece of plastic ever made is still around. “We need to innovate our way out of this mess,” he said.

Hey Congress lady, you first. If memory serves me correctly it only took Bobby Sands about 63 days to assume room temperature.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., urged people to join with her in a hunger strike in an attempt to shut down U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), The Washington Free Beacon is reporting.

Her comments came during a fundraiser in Detroit last weekend for the Michigan Coalition for Human Rights, the Free Beacon reported. She said Congress is unwilling to abolish ICE.

Feel Good Story of The Day and Genius Award Winner all wrapped up in one story.

Moments later the mostly naked man left the scene of his attempted burglary bleeding, embarrassed, still pretty much naked. 5’6, 300-pound Antonio Mosely had charged the old woman without realizing that she was holding a metal baseball bat, or knowing that she was a pretty good softball player in her day. But oh did Clarese Gainey know how to handle that bat. She swung, connected, and drove off the offensive lineman-sized attacker.

No surprise what state is involved.

Who needs sweet talk & negligees? Not our Genius Award Winners.

An Arizona couple is charged with luring a day laborer to their Phoenix home and forcing the man to have sex at gunpoint with the female suspect, an assault that the male suspect described as a “sexual fantasy scenario,” according to a criminal complaint.

According to investigators, the victim was picked up last Monday outside a Home Depot by Brenda Acuna-Aguero, 39, who said that she needed help moving items at her home.

The victim told cops that when he reached the residence, Acuna-Aguero “began to talk sexual to him” and said it “was her fantasy to have sex with a laborer and that she wanted to have sex with him.”

When the man declined to have sex, Acuna-Aguero’s husband Jorge Murrieta-Valenzuela, 45, entered the room carrying a rifle. Murrieta-Valenzuela, cops charge, placed the firearm against the victim’s chest and told him “that he was going to have sex with his wife or he would shoot him.”

Trying to keep the memory of his comrades alive. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day!

The image of the Marine veteran crawling across the Boston Marathon finish line quickly became one of the most memorable — and talked about — moments of this year’s race.

Micah Herndon, 31, of Tallmadge, Ohio, may not have been prepared for the attention he received when he crossed the finish line on his hands and knees, determined to complete the race in honor of his fallen comrades.

27 You know, there's something that's been bothering me for a while. In every election cycle, Dead and Fictional voters break heavily for the Democrats--in many cases, almost 100% in some districts. Why doesn't the GOP reach out to these voters? They don't even make a token effort. It's no wonder these constituencies vote the way they do--the Democrats fete them heavily and the GOP ignores them. They probably don't feel they have any other place to go.

79 Less than 1% of the plastics in any of the oceans originate from the US, most of it is from Asia and Africa.

I wonder how much of it was ours, we paid China to 'recycle' it in their empty ships, and they just dumped it halfway across.

123 "We had clear lines between 'this is alive' and 'this is dead,'"

No, we didn't. In fact, the determination of death is a state issue. It used to be that the states each had their own definition of death and you could be dead in one state and transported to another in which you would not be dead - and vice versa, obviously.

Outside of someone having been "dead" for a good long time and starting to decompose, there was never any clear-cut line that determined "dead".

Shit, with the defibrillator we bring people "back to life" who would have been written off as "dead" for most of history. The changing of the delineation of "dead" is nothing new.

"How do we now think about this middle category of 'partly alive'? We didn't think it could exist."

Nita A. Farahany, a bioethicist and law professor at Duke University

Bullshit.

A bioethicist AND a law professor. LOL. This chick is retarded. She's just trying to make her phony-baloney job sound important.

The fact is that ancient peoples, being all backward and such, with their concept of the soul and life after death have always considered the continuation of some sort of consciousness after the body dies. And this retarded law chick acts as if she's the first to ever come up with the idea of life after death, or some variant thereof.

I fvcking hate academic retards. They give the academy a bad name.

136 The sneaker is part of Adidas's attempt to address the grave environmental threat posed by plastic, which increasingly clogs landfills and suffuses our oceans. At a presentation in New York today to reveal the shoe, Eric Liedtke, an executive board member in charge of global brands at Adidas, noted that every piece of plastic ever made is still around. "We need to innovate our way out of this mess," he said.

Fucker is lying his face off. Every piece of plastic ever made is not still around. A huge amount gets degraded by the UV in sunlight, or even eaten by bacteria. Since plastic is embodied petroleum (and/or natural gas), the smart thing to do is to burn waste plastic in a generating plant to make electrical energy. It can be made to burn very clean in a proper burner.

I had no idea there were so many choices that must be made when selecting hats/boots. Material, style, color, toe/brim, crease, heel, fancy or working and on and on.

Fell in love with a gray felt, 10X, cattleman's crease fancy hat. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $600-800. Whoa!

If you've been vaccinated for measles then you can't catch it from someone who hasn't,,, right?

It's a little more complicated than this, but you are correct in that most of the cases of measles are unvaccinated people.

But babies before vaccination are susceptible. They delay vaccinations for safety and effectiveness reasons so there is always a window where they will be.

And some people (very few) are immunocompromised and either can not be vaccinated, or are susceptible even though they are.

Third, vaccines are not 100% and some people can still get the disease after vaccination. Especially as you get older and this is a particular problem with measles since it is dangerous for pregnant women.

So there is an advantage to vaccinating as many as possible. It is especially irksome that once you reach a high enough level, the few people who are not vaccinated are taking advantage of other people being vaccinated to prevent their catching diseases. If no one got measles vaccine, then *everyone* would catch the measles eventually. So these people are free riding and putting babies, sick, and potentially mothers at risk.

Not quite.

Info posted by the National Vaccine Information Center:

Currently the CDC states that vaccine-induced immunity "appears to be long-term and probably lifelong in most persons" however, studies have shown that vaccine failure due to waning immunity can occur. In 2015, infectious disease experts reported that approximately 1 in 10 measles vaccinated individuals may be at risk of measles due to vaccine waning. In 2011, news reports from India publicly stated that only 1 child in 5 vaccinated for measles was actually protected from getting the disease, even after being fully vaccinated. Measles vaccine acquired immunity is reported to wane in at least 5 percent of cases, within 10 to 15 years after vaccination.

Pretty simple, really. Very young children cannot be vaccinated; immune systems not fully developed. So your older kid goes to school, catches the measles virus from one of the unvaccinated brutes, brings it home, and infects year-old Junior, who then dies.

272
The thing about vaccinations is a concept known as herd immunity. It boils down thus: There is a quantity known as the reproduction number, R, which is basically a measure of the average number of people one infected individual will infect.

If that number is greater than 1, then the initial phase of the disease will be exponential. The number of people infected will increase exponentially. Of course, the population is finite and that will peter out and peak, but the initial phase is exponential.

Now, if you can drive R below 1, then there is no exponential growth phase, and the disease dies out.

Vaccination lowers R, and the goal is to vacinate enough people to drive it below 1. This fraction depends on the disease, how virulent it is and all that.

Measles is very contagious and that fraction has to be pretty high, upper 80% or something.

When you have herd immunity, a disease will not spread. Of any population there are those who can't be vaccinated. They may be allergic to the vaccine, or have other conditions that prevent it.

WHen you have herd immunity, you protect those people.

274 >>My Amazon shipments used to be all via UPS, but now I get them via three routes: UPS, USPS, and Amazon delivery vans. Few come by UPS nowadays; most are via USPS.

What is happening is Amazon is skimming the creme. They take the high profit regions and deliveries. This puts a burden on UPS since they have to offer similar rates to businesses and can not tweak things in real time since the customers would not be able to predict shipping costs. for usps it is even worse.

Amazon also does not have to pay for 100% reliability. If a delivery guy flakes out they just send the shit to ups. UPS has to have backup and contingencies and full coverage no matter who delivers what, or when. Amazon can look at a region and decide to send their car to one spot or the next but only if it is cheaper than the alternatives.

Screen was cracked.

Called amazon. They shipped out a new one and arranged for pick up of the old one.

New one delivered. Cracked again.

This time I called amazon and said 'I am pretty much done here. Just give me the refund and pick up this piece of crap and I am good.

The lady on the line said, let me see what I can do. She gave me a free upgrade to a 64', which tripped the amazon service which makes home installation mandatory (which means it is picked up and delivered by an actual service, not UPS.) It was like a $500 upgrade for free. I was skeptical, but said, why not.

Delivered by a couple guys, they set it up. Worked fine. Happy.

Amazon has a bad rep for their labor practices. We have heard stories here on the HQ in the past.

A friend in Alberta works for a big North American company whose name you will know. He was called upon to service a piece of their rental equipment in Calgary. Had to get a pass to enter their warehouse, and yet another to enter the back lot. Had to get the Amazon electrician to throw the breaker to turn off power to the equipment. Before doing that, the electrician had to don a flame-resistant vest, hard hat, and high-voltage gloves. To throw a switch on an enclosed panel. The electrician told my buddy, "I have resumes out."

328 I have been with Prime almost since its beginning and have never had anything but good results. I buy stuff all the time -- got five deliveries just today -- and whenever there is a problem they take care of it. I have even bought a 100 lb. generator with free two day delivery, and when it crapped out they sent me a full refund and just told me to dump the busted one since it couldn't be shipped back after being filled with gas. I live in a small town where we have no real choices for local purchases, and Amazon Prime is a blessing.

332 Amazon would never jeopardize the usps. They will continue to put price pressure on them though. Amazon needs an alternative in case anyone gets serious about "charging the real cost of delivery" since that cost includes lots of legacy and unions and trucks sitting in the edge of town tavern for 3 hr. lunches every day.

So amazon does not want to pay for the inefficiencies and they don't have to as long as they have options. But they really don't want to take over all their own deliveries since that would lead to their own inefficiencies, unions, and eventually legacy pensions and shit.

I think my identity's been stolen.

I need to speak with the IRS tomorrow and figure out what's going on, but here's what happened:

I received a scary email today that my federal tax return's been rejected.

So I checked it out, and they are saying my 2017 AGI isn't matching records in the IRS database.

Now, this set me off right away, because I don't fuck up on tax forms, ever. I triple check everything, and then do it three more times.

The 2017 1040 AGI matched the AGI I gave them, as I expected, so I went to log in to the IRS website to pull their numbers, and my ID info was rejected from their website, as well, for not matching the IRS database.

One of my old aunts went to college up North years and years ago, and got a job working with some outfit -- she worked in the payroll dept, IIRC, and did typing.

It was a union shop, and she had no idea about what that meant. She needed to move her typewrite to another table/desk for some reason, so she unplugged it and started to pick it up and move it.

Her boss blew a gasket and threw a shit fit, screaming put that typewriter back! They had to get an electrician to unplug it, then someone from maintenance to move it, then call the electrician back in to plug it back in.

She could've caused an incident resulting in a shutdown, she was scolded.

We use Prime, but it doesn't always deliver. Too many times you order something up and hit checkout, it tells me they don't ship to Alaska. As if a flat rate box isn't delivered here just like anywhere. As if we don't have DHL or FedEx or UPS. As if we aren't really Americans at all.

It's bullshit, but they say it and that's that.

We actually have a small army of expediters in Seattle who will collect your purchases and put them on the TOTE Barge. Works for furniture, too. Hilarious.

If they can ship it, so could Prime.

Same thing happened to me, but I'm not fretting over it.

I checked last year's AGI, and it matches. WTF. Anyhow, the solution is to file on paper, AND, call the IRS and request a copy of last year's 1040.

This seems to happen fairly often, for some reason. At any rate, don't freak over it. Just call the IRS and request a copy of last year's return.

464 Well, I did some more digging on my septic tank today. Lovely day to be in a hole in the ground, with the Sun shining down bright. I uncovered the inlet to the tank. The end of the tank, at its top, cones down into a six-inch nipple, and the 4-inch sewer line is coupled to that via a rubber 6" to 4" reducer and two hose clamps. Nary a sign of a leak there. The earth, although slightly damp, smells like damp earth, not sewage.

I think I will transfer digging activity to the house end of the line, about nine feet west of my current pit.

Parents are being warned of the latest dangerous challenge that's going around on social media.

Teens are daring each other to eat things like plastic packaging, cardboard boxes and fruit peels in what's being called the "shell on" challenge.

I am just trying to locate a leak. If the inlet side of the 2-compartment tank gets too full, it leaks out somewhere, and the leagake water winds up in the gravel under my basement, and the sump pump kicks in and pumps it back into the septic tank. My initial assumption was that it was the tank itself leaking, and the leakage water was percolating back to the house through the gravel bed of the trench holding the drain pipe. Best guess now is that this is not the case. Guess #2 is that the sewer line is leaking at a coupling where it exits the foundation, and when the inlet side of the tank is full, it keeps standing water in the sewer line, causing it to leak.

Any luck, a 2X2X2 foot hole should expose that end of the line.

506 *Orlando house update*

Twenty yard dumpster out in the driveway is now 1/3 full.

The house is now ready for the Estate Sale mavens, who will in due course, generate enough additional refuse to bring said container up to at least the 2/3 full level.

In short, my initial plan to contract for a 10 yard dumpster would have proven to been, ... insufficient.

The huge point being though, that every scrap of paper in the house has been reviewed, most of it fed through a high-capacity shredder, the important documents saved and all of the other scraps and detritus of a pair of long and well lived lives, have been processed and dealt with as per their value in this present world.

The house remains stuffed with furnishings, décor, tools (I have duplicates, or better), obsolete electronics, and many other items of significant value.

The Estate Sale mavens are going to encounter one of their most profitable sales, ever. I know of whence I speak, here.

There is far more meat remaining on the bones, then there are mere bones, and that's saying something.

And after?

Sale of the house.

Any Florida Horde will really want in on this one, and ought contact me through the addy in my nic.

We're talking "above prime" in every description of location, and I'm understating that in every deliberate way.

NEW YORK (AP) - The Yankees have suspended the use of Kate Smith's recording of "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch while they investigate an allegation of racism against the singer.

The New York Daily News reported Thursday there are conflicting claims about Smith's 1939 song "That's Why Darkies Were Born." The song originated in the 1931 Broadway revue "George White's Scandals," and was considered satire. It was recorded by Smith and also by Paul Robeson, who was black.

Even during Menken's time there were crooks, liars and knaves that could make one ashamed of his leadership. The best systems minimize their impact rather than trying to eliminate them (although it would be nice if we could actually imprison the out and out crooks.)

But, by comparison's sake, Menken did not have a lot to stand on. For that matter, neither do we. What government in the world is less dysfunctional or free than ours is, tarnished and hedged though those freedoms may be?

582 I find surprise at the degradation of *any* American institution, public or private, very surprising.

When the Marine commandant's office whines about the impact of trivial border-related milcon activities because of their effect on readiness, it's no surprise, from Citibank blackballing gun businesses to the NY Yankees pulling this idiocy with Kate Smith's famous singing, when a new low is reached.

The reasonable presumption now, until disproven, is that major institutions will engage in idiotic, racist, illiterate, bigoted, ignorant, wildly un-American behavior - as though their CEOs/directors and senior management were 25-yr old airheads.

It certainly appears that way now, but we don't know what events are coming. It does seem that leadership in many areas is incredibly ignorant and self righteous. However there does seem to be a small strong contingent of good thinkers who are watching things play out and will be willing to act when appropriate.

Or I may be overly optimistic.

Posted by: AmericanKestrel at April 19, 2019 12:58 AM (IDhUW)

597 Aetius, good (sad) point. My swipe at the USMC illustrates your point - although it's not that the Corps has degraded like so many other institutions, but that it's so lost its perspective that minor contributions to actually urgent and concrete national security efforts, like border physical security, are even viewed in the light of "readiness". "Readiness" for what, exactly? Commandant hasn't been reading his regular intel updates. Regardless - the idea that the trivial border effort would affect readiness is idiotic, and even more important reveals a mindset detached from any common sense understanding of national security.

MisHum, that's the big question, I guess. There's reason to think the generational dumbing down and warping of young minds hasn't paid off exactly as hoped for the enemy, but the damage has been serious.

And I'd say cowardice and irresponsibility are more of an issue than ignorance. 615 Never held/shot a PPK, but a guy at the range today said it was awful to shoot. Bad ergonomics, trigger pull, etc. (could just be his taste/quirks, dunno). I let him empty a mag of my CZ-83 (also .380). Like me, he thought it was the best, most natural fit of any handgun he'd ever held.

Shot a Mosin in an Archangel stock for the first time. Nice. But apart from the external 10-round magazine-fed thing (instead of internal 5-round mag), not any great advantage over the original Arctic birch stock, to me. But I'm a very low-end historical sort, only interested in loading fast with stripper clips and achieving minute-of-human-torso @ 150 yds from realistic shooting positions (all for kicks, zero chance of the actual situation ever happening).

620 Maybe an even more burning question is why this administration didn't move on January 21, 2017 to pursue/punish/end ID fraud in the form of SSNs, and illegals getting the EITC, via administrative action. And if they lacked that power under the law, why it didn't immediately demand legislation from (the then-"GOP-controlled") Congress allowing this (and if it didn't get such legislation, why it didn't engage in the lost and mysterious art of "politics" and put pressure on Congress to act, including esp. GOP members).

Oh well.

621 Y5 if you're serious about the CZ-83, AIM Surplus has them right now for $320 (used, usually in good shape, functionally fine). Mags are a bit pricey (high $30s). But an excellent platform for that caliber. Tragically I have not handled or shot most .380s or any other caliber category for that matter, but as stated the -83 is the most naturally pointable easily aimed gun I've ever shot. Can shoot it unsupported (one-handed), especially after the initial double-action shot, easily.

I see small pockets of 25-30 year olds who are not financially stable, who for the most part went thru the public education system and who are now realizing that they have been brainwashed/ manipulated and are slowly, quietly trying to figure out how to change mind sets. They know the "greenies" running the companies are idiots.

I also see rebellious teenagers who speak their minds logically, reasonably, who are being shut down by the education system and who resent it and I think will fight the irrationality when the are no longer legally controlled by the system.

They know "pepe" , pewdipie, and the right leaning memes and are being chastised for it. I don't think they will give into the SJW pressure and will only learn how to fight better.

Speaking of the day's big news, if Barr thinks he's going to restore some integrity to DOJ, the calamitous internal scandal - the appointment of an SC contrary to regs - needs to be confronted.

Was happily away from the web all day, amidst lots of wonderful gunfire (all directed at steel and paper), including by some Coast Guard guys who really had too much fun, so didn't see - did ANYONE even raise the topic that the SC appointment in itself is a scandal? The publicly known scope obviously fails to comply with relevant regs - Barr has to release the 2nd scope, or he really hasn't lifted the cloud over DOJ even a little bit.

This is what happens when everything is infused with politics, and I mean everything. From social jussie-tice wanker math problems to the hagiographic portrayal of Bathhouse Barry, including those sing-a-longs of praise like they do in North Korea. Honestly, kids today can't get away from politics, be it from woke teachers to woke preachers. I never bothered with politics until I was in high school, and barely at that. In college, I was taught the course matter, not have a prof go off on an anti-Trump tirade in chemistry class. That teachers take kids to lefty protests as part of class-time is pure propaganda.

I really feel bad for kids because they are being robbed of their childhood innocence with all the political crap they are force-fed. It takes a strong person to ignore lefty programming. I guess having it in their faces all the time is making some of them stronger and able to resist.

Another item of note is the length of presidential campaigns today. Before, people didn't start campaigning until election year. Even Trump started campaigning in June of 2015, a year-and-a-quarter before the election.

Running for president is now a full-time job (campaigns rev up the day after the election), while politicians ignore the full-time jobs they currently have. I'm all for a presidential campaign law that states if you currently have an elected job and are running for president, you must immediately resign from that office to do so. That might put a stop to the perpetual campaigns we are now seeing as well as thin the numbers some, and bring a touch of sanity back to all our lives. For the chirren.

You're not unloved; You're loved by me-not in a romantic sense but as a person I admire and respect and wish the best for. Others here care for you You exhibit care for passing on prayer requests. You mentions friends you have . Who cares if you're fat?-You might be, but people who care for you don't really care unless they have a concern for your health. Ugly?
Not inside. I don't want to get too personal here, but if you feel unloved by "resident evil" and haven't told her please consider doing so-and say you feel hurt and what you need Women respond better to that. Also, pray with her and try to share some things she is grateful to God for about you, I'm sure she has some even if she doesn't express them as much as she should.

I wasn't intending to be here

698 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.

And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!

But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.

Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha:

Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.

And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.

Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I am King of the Jews.

Pilate answered, What I have written I have written.

.....

Pilate recognized who Jesus was. Likely, so too did the Jewish priests.

Pilate declared Him innocent, Jewish priests wanted Him crucified anyway. Understand that people who claim to worship principals, follow principals and hold themselves upright will even destroy that which they claim they hold most dear when it comes to relinquishing their power.

yeah, the DC "priesthood" knows they were framing Trump ... and as with the woman "caught in the very act" of adultery (by the priests that all had her, so of course they knew) ... they will destroy any innocent to try to entrap anyone threatening their stranglehold on power.

They are the rapists/murderers/cheats ... and they turn around and accuse good people of their crimes. They are all thick as thieves ... they ARE the thieves.

But even their law did not have process crimes. "You obstructed US while we were framing you". Corsi/Stone/Flynn ... tried to force them to lie, threatened their families, got them on rigged process crimes.

If they don't get indicted AND convicted ... War against them (not China/Russia) is our best hope. But record numbers still pour across the borders ... so "they" are still winning.

732 Got our 2019 notice of appraisal from the County. Odd but the appraised value of my house went up by exactly 10% to the dollar, the maximum amount allowed before the County has to call a vote for raising taxes.

I am going to appeal but don't have much to win on. If this keeps up in a few years the appraised value of my house will double. It's already went up 40% since 2014 when the house was built.

There is a bill capping taxes at 3.5% increase year to year floating around the State House but it's passage is far from certain.

But a crowd in the courtyard demanded that a prisoner named Barabbas be freed instead, and Pilate eventually gave in to the pressure. Thus Barabbas was released

We really need to think about the wealth that property taxes destroy. A well kept plot of land our house can return about 5 to 6% annually. So allowing the government to take 3% means a 50% tax!

No. 7 is just stupid. Mueller Mueller had the Tower emails and then makes a claim that avoiding the Press is obstruction.

This is what the world looks like after 60 Minutes, Title IX, Metoo, Bake the Damn Cake, and Progressivism. You must surrender to immediately to the Big Govt and Media when you are accused and fall prostrate; all possessions, jobs, and life given over to the mob.
