Strange how socialists think people are good but must be made better. And BETTER is a moving target that always always cost more money and provides less freedom. The current crop of Socialist all sound crazy when you just take their words at face value. Liawatha: Wants to go after wealth AKA capital. It is difficult to get good safe returns of over 6%. So her 2% tax is actually claiming the government get about one third of money. Uncle Bernie: Medicare for All encompasses every person in the Western Hemisphere for all practical purposes. We cannot afford the Medicare and Medicaid systems we have so let us throw 150 to 200 million people into the mix. If you just write down what these people say, and then read it back it becomes clear that these people are just crazed power hungry curruptocrats. I had a patient similar to this year's ago. while he did not attack a child he attacked many others and reveled in his killer instinct and command hallucinations. I was quietly delighted when he was shot and killed by the police while attempting another assault. ____________ According to reports in MN papers, this black guy had previously been caught throwing things from the upper floors of the mall; that's why he'd been banned from the mall. And in another instance, he had destroyed a bunch of computers in a MN public library. He told cops who arrested him for that incident that he had become angry because of something he had read on Facebook, and that he has "anger issues." It sounds like he's got serious mental issues, and probably should not have been walking around loose in the first place. But since we can't keep people locked up anymore, no matter how crazy and dangerous they are, this is what we get. Posted by: TrivialPursuer at April 14, 2019 07:20 AM (fqUgw) 52

Ethan Van Sciver attends the Star Wars Celebration convention.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4G63djaZ_po Check out the anti-harassment poster at the beginning. Some of the forbidden activities were illegal to begin with, I'd think: physical assault, inappropriate physical contact. Others reek of creeping SJW totalitarianism: offensive verbal comments (who gets to decide what's "offensive"?), bathroom policing (well, probably not many women or girls will be attending this thing as compared to men, so there's probably no great danger in letting creepy guys into the ladies' room). But what a weird poster to greet people as they enter the convention. Very 1984. Posted by: Steve and Cold Bear at April 14, 2019 08:10 AM (/qEW2) 99

The 2010 Assange-Manning cyber-theft conspiracy charged by prosecutors
is outside the standard five-year statute of limitations for federal crimes: The limitations period was already exhausted when the indictment was filed in 2018. To breathe life into the case, the Justice Department will have to convince both British and American judges that this comparatively minor conspiracy charge is actually a "federal crime of terrorism," triggering a three-year statute-of-limitations extension. o according to the left's new definition of "surveillance," Hoover wasn't spying on Martin Luther King, he was merely conducting domestic surveillance of the civil rights leader.
Its a huge difference. For those of us who communicate through structured English statements to convey ideas, facts and concepts, we know that "domestic surveillance" and "spying" are synonyms. But Progs don't use structured English, they use word salads that are deliberate assemblies of trigger words to activate emotions. "Spying" is a two syllable sound that people have been programmed to associate with the emotions of distrust, cloak & dagger, hostility, war and death. The Demonic Party, though this is what they are, don't want to be associated with that - so Trump and GOP are Russian Spies, but they engage in "surveillance". "Surveillance" has been attached to the emotions of careful, methodical law enforcement action to create safe neighborhoods and communities by monitoring the evil actions of bad people. It is critical to understand that there is another language being used out in the world, forgetting that half the country doesn't understand structured English is folly. Some of the left were pretty pro-Assange, but the MSM lefties had hated him for hurting Hillary (by exposing the truth) .. But now if Trump is involved in his arrest, they will learn to love Assange again, maybe. idk Ideally Trump made some deal to get Assange and the evidence it was Dems (Seth) that leaked to him, not the Russkies. Said communities were powerless to stop it. The media was mostly silent. And now that Trump even threatens to put the shoe on the other foot, the outrageous ragemob is raging.
I am very surprised that even Rush is questioning the timing of this massive flood of immigration - one year before the national census. The idea isn't necessarily to get newcomers hooked into voting Demonic Party in upcoming elections (though that would be nice for them), but is has everything to do with apportionment and redistricting after the election. Through the miracle of gerrymandering, the Left can carve out designated "income assisted" neighborhoods and warehouse these illegals there. Then they can draw districts around those communities that also include shards of reliable Demonic Party voters. Other shards can then be used to push into the 60% Demonic Voting neighboring new districts. This is how a small number of reliable Demonic Party voters can have the voting power of a much larger base and have the districts carved up to facilitate that. Now the threat of parking all of these people in Sanctuary Cities is another problem. They can still gerrymander and get the votes, but the problem is that the cities are bankrupt, the infrastructure is decayed, the crime is out of control and drug addicts have taken over too much of the city. Bringing in more of the same problem will speed up the creation of Detroits, Baltimores and StLouises. They want the voting power, they just want the slightly red areas to pay for them. So the illegals will be dumped in towns and suburbs that can be reasonably redistricted so that the Demonic voters in those towns will be gerrymandered in with the "low income housing" residents and thus be able to vote in Demonic representatives due to their leverage of apportionment and redistricting. If America needs to survive for a few more years than what are prognosis current suggests, then either stop this immigration or these two steps: 1 ) Cloward Piven the Sanctuary Cities by cratering their economy by dumping drug addicts, criminals and welfare recipients in their core. (check) 2 ) Demand that a mechanism for not counting non-citizens in the census is in place so that the Demonic Party can't leverage their statistical might in having out of proportion voting power. The ACLU uncharacteristically reverted back to a free speech position, in filing suit to protect those two NJ teens who went to the gun range and posted on social media about it. Thanks ACLU! One of our very own Morons (An Observation) cited a federal felony law that needs to be dusted off and used: 18 US Code 241. It prohibits two people from denying Constitutionally guaranteed rights. Maybe Barr will start to enforced that law. From what I can gather, this "social justice" appears to be pretty illegal in a lot of instances, especially that one. Those kids weren't doing anything that was illegal and there's no reason to even raise an eyebrow in their direction. This BS needs to be shut down, hard and soon. Those laws exist specifically to prevent such blatant abuse of freedom. Posted by: BackwardsBoy says #PurgeProgressivismBAMN at April 14, 2019 09:05 AM (HaL55) 149

there is incredible potential there ... teacher unions would probably fight it tooth and nail. way back in my high school days teachers in Chem/Phys had a plan for individuals to go at their own speed. They had like 20 packets ready on different areas, which I think was like an average year of class. Three or four of us went through them in like 3 weeks, waited around in class playing games all day till they could come up with more packets. Too many kids get held back by teaching to the slowest, or in some schools, everyone gets a trophy and many learn little. There is a video called "minutes" on Amazon Prime ... most important minutes in six people's lives. The one I watched (first one) was a teacher meeting with parents, ends up explaining (in frustration with parents expecting miracles) why schools are failing ... by not pushing the students to learn. I was part of that experiment decades ago. There was a carton of rainbow colored cards (skill modules) where the idea was to start at one end of the color spectrum and graduate at the other end. The cards had a skill to be mastered and had problems to work out. Another kid in the class and I had a competition to see who could blast through the carton the fastest. Yes, it took one-sixth the time than the present model of sitting around waiting for the slowest person to catch up. I think they abandoned the experiment because what do you do with two boys who have nothing but time and creative/destructive energy on their hands for the majority of the school year?
