The Morning Report - 4/12/19

raisbarr.jpg

Good morning kids. The weekend is here and, all together now, what a week it's been. The over two-year long constant drum beat and narrative that Trump with the aid of Putin stole the 2016 presidential election has been turned on its head by Attorney General William Barr's unassailable and unimpeachable (heh) declaration of his belief that it was the President that was spied on during the course of the election and even afterwards. Despite my cynicism of any of the real culprits in all of this ever facing serious consequences for what amounts to treasonous behavior, Greg Craig, Obama's White House counsel and a big time Leftist was indicted for giving false statements about his work as a foreign agent for the government of Ukraine in 2012. Ironically, this came out as a result of the Mueller inquisition of Trump. As far as William Barr is concerned, remember that he's been working in DC for a long time and as a member of the Bush 41 regime. Supporting the conclusions of Mueller's nothing-burger and deception is one thing, but to publicly confirm what we all know vis a vis Trump being the victim is something else. He's now going against the family - the Deep State.

The pessimist in me agrees with the thesis of Matthew Boose over at American Greatness:

...Consider the following: the media convinced millions of people that the president of the United States was some kind of Russian agent and for two years peddled this story without a shred of evidence. The investigation into Trump began under shadowy circumstances that remain obscure even to the most vigilant observers.

The fact that this even happened kind of dilutes the victory. While the intelligence "community" and the media have suffered a great blow to their credibility, they nevertheless were able to inflict profound harm on the country as they pursued a partisan coup. The power they wield, and the damage they have done using it, cannot be overstated...

...The president is in a stronger position politically than he has ever been in his presidency, and that is no small thing. But a wide institutional power gap abides. While the Democrats will suffer, the institutions that support them will not, and the Democrats will continue to draw power from those institutions... Here is what should happen: Every journalist who breathlessly promoted this nonsense should be fired and publicly shamed, and the Democrats who peddled this hoax should resign. The DOJ/FBI/CIA hacks who made a killing on the networks and on their book tours should withdraw from public life in utter disgrace. Trump should declassify everything and pursue those responsible.

But they're probably going to get away with it...

It's tough to read the whole thing, though you should, but the fact of the matter is the damage has been done, both to this President in terms of his ability to move his agenda forward and more broadly and much more critically to what was already a red nether hair-thin trust in our leaders and institutions. That has been irreparably damaged. I think this is one of the reasons why even a long time resident of DC like William Barr did what he did in stating the truth about Trump, out of perhaps a sense of wanting to restore the shattered credibility of the DoJ. It's a noble pursuit but all things considered on that is in vain. Things cannot and most certainly will not go on as before. We really are in uncharted territory politically and culturally. Maybe that's a good thing. In a not unrelated story below, the so-called "progressives" in the Democrat Party are openly letting their freak flags fly for all the world to see, and despite what the propagandists are pimping, most average Americans today even after two generations of brainwashing in the schools are repulsed by it.

It was the 8 long, dreadful years of Obama pretending to be "moderate" and running what was in fact a criminal operation out of the White House to fundamentally mutilate this country into slightly less than second world dump that got us Trump. And Obama was not only aided and abetted by fully weaponized media propaganda arm but by a GOP political class that had no problem with what he and his fellow travelers had in store for us, so long as they could make a buck off of our extinction as a nation and culture. And yet, I see a very bright silver lining in all of this. Had G-d forbid Hillary won the election none of this ever would have seen the light of day and she and her cohorts would have ground the rubble of our nation created by Obama's destruction into a fine powder.

The only reason that I and many of you voted for the loud, tacky orange-complected gavone from Queens was to prevent Hillary from finishing off whatever was left of America as founded. On that glorious Tuesday evening in November of 2016, that mission was accomplished. Yet, despite all of the aforementioned, look what he and his allies were still able to accomplish in terms of tangible things like the economy and foreign policy an intangible things like sparking a re-emancipation of American blacks, Jews, Latinos and others from the blood-sucking liars of the Democrat-Left and the explosion of the myth of an unbiased, honest news media. Will Trump alone restore America? Of course not. We are a divided nation right now, and perhaps never to be reunited all things considered. But it is better to have all of this out in the open and to be able to fight to stave off the twin evils of Leftism and Islamism from conquering us for good. Not the end. Not the beginning of the end. But the end of the beginning.

On to the rest of the news starting with the border crisis and immigration where the migrant horde invasion is getting worse by the day, what amounts to biological warfare is also coming across the border with the invaders, and the Center for Immigration Studies gives us a sobering statistic.

Democrat Scandal Sheet and Officially Sanctioned Anti-Semitism: "Tank" Abrams under investigation by a state ethics commission despite now claiming victory in the Israeli elections (just kidding), Kim Foxx let a convicted killer off the hook in the name of social justice, the Manhattan DA knew friend of Clinton Jeffrey Epstein was a sick pedo while arguing for leniency, and Blotto O'Rourke's shady real estate deal with a campaign donor. All shocking! Meanwhile the so-called "Justice Democrats" are all outraged because the NY Post called out "Bro-Fo" Omar for the dark age pig-ignorant anti-Semite she is.

Civil War 2.0: The Left's world-famous non-violence and tolerance were on full display at the University of Missouri when a reporter for the Daily Wire got sprayed with bleach in the face, and a look at the persecution of Kirsjen Nielsen post-Trump administration. The organized ability to deprive anyone of a livelihood won't end with just political figures and has got to be stopped. By any means necessary.

Politics: Home Depot co-founder lays out the truth about the Dems, Progressives are mainstreaming the lunatic fringe (let a thousand freak flags fly), Rabbi Fischer with good advice for Trump, Nydia Velazquez has a fever and the only cure is more gulags, CNN blindsides Joe Bidet with ancient stuff about school busing, Joe's Man-Chin stumps for the Maine frump, and a look at the anti-American front groups ADL and SPLC and the "white nationalism" hoax/libeling.

First Amendment and Fake News Fakery: Several good links on the arrest of Wikileaks Julian Assange, two about the attempt by Google et al to destroy Unplanned, and Google pushing back on the blacklisting story.

Abortion: Governor DeWine signs Ohio heartbeat bill, the same one John "the self-licking postage stamp" Kasich vetoed twice.

Foreign Desk: More on the Assange arrest, VP Pence gives Venezuelan ambassador the death stare at the UN and nicely tells him to GTFO, senior US official visits Taiwan to celebrate 40 year Taiwan Relations Act, NATO in crisis and a look at Poland's troubling past and present vis a vis anti-Semitism.

DEE-fense: Export controls needed to protect our defense high tech and Senators leery about the Space Force.

Domestic Affairs: As promised, Congressional Dems are going to continue persecuting Justice Kavanaugh, new Interior Dept. chief confirmed despite enviro-commie opposition, and a report says Trump may dissolve the Office of Personnel Management. Might have to do that with a few missiles aimed at Peking. Meh, take out Google's servers instead. Same diff.

Economy: Can Judges Buch M. Danno and Tyne E. Bubbles destroy America's new position as the global petroleum leader, and a look at Chi-Com's goal of destroying the almighty dollar.

Healthcare: Deputy Press Secretary Gidley torches Democrat Medicare for All, and legal challenges to De Bolshevik's forced measles shots.

Real Science: A look at the failed Israeli lunar lander attempt.

Feminazism and Transgender Madness: A rhetorical question has been axed.

Hither and Yon: Go see Hotel Mumbai and Unplanned, Trump classy visit with 95-year-old World War 2 vet, the dying religion of Christian Science and Daniel Greenfield explodes "white privilege."

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

NOTE: The opinions expressed in some links may or may not reflect my own. I include them because of their relevance to the discussion of a particular issue.

46 The reaction to the Assange arrest is bizarre. My SIL works at the British Embassy - they were on lockdown yesterday, a bunch of protestors out front.

The pros, the cons, they are all mixed up.

I believe Assange and wikileaks is a CIA joint. Always has been. They only publish the stuff on Americans to 1) get cred and 2) get disinformation out there.

It exists to catch leakers, collect info on adversaries, and muddy the information waters.

And the fact that Assange was in London, which is the nexus of the whole Spygate fiasco, as well as having been central to the story....

So Assange gets popped right after the Mueller report comes in.

I think the "we must stand up for Assange on free speech principles" approach is wrong - I think he is part of the IC coup.

________

My take here is that Barr, like Graham, has SOME standards. Sure, they weren't on our side. But there are limits to what they'll go along with. And the left has pushed beyond those limits.

It's cause for encouragement, really. There've been a number of people who have finally recognized what has been going on (Andy McCarthy is another). Didn't want to believe it, but there comes a time when it's impossible to ignore.

We see something similar in the few honest libs like Greenwald and Pool.

You can't fool all the people all the time. So be ready for a cycle of overreaching by them, and pouncing by us.

Heh - "out of context." They think that still works?

Don't get mad at Omar, Tlaib, and AOS - let them speak, tweet, periscope, march - the more people see of them, the better.

How many people who were inclined to give Omar a chance, maybe even felt good about how a person like her could succeed, saw her 9/11 comments and not only reconsidered judgment of her, but of refugee resettlement, the Democrats, etc.?

And speaking of the Democrats - has any single one of them, in the House, Senate, even POTUS candidates expressed concern over Omar's 9/11 quip?

Yeah, we see that silence, too, Democrats.

In Virginia, a minor - OF ANY AGE - is considered an adult when it comes to medical treatment for mental health, and can choose what providers they want or don't want, and can exclude parents from seeing their medical records related to mental health. (also for STDs, birth control, abortion, and substance abuse).

Way to go Virginia. Good thinking.

________________

Bro-Fo's quote about 9/11 was NOT taken out of context. The context was her whining that muslims in the U.S. are continually mistreated. She said that some people did some things on 9/11, and then muslims were denied their civil liberties as a result, and then CAIR was formed.

All of that was bullshit. CAIR was not formed after 9/11, it was formed years before, in 1994. And when she was talking about how "some people did some things" she was implying that it wasn't that big of a deal, and certainly didn't justify denying muslims their civil rights. Except that muslims were NOT denied their civil rights after 9/11, in fact most of them were afforded more civil rights than they deserved, including millions of them being imported to the U.S. and allowed to live here, many on the backs of U.S. taxpayers, including more than a hundred thousand Somali savages, of which little Ms. Immigration Fraudster was one.

The divisions are different this time. A scholar mentioned not long ago that America in the 1860s was so divided that they went to war. The country killed off a good percentage of it's own men and they did it for a good reason in the end. But those people on both sides thought America was exceptional, they thought George Washington was the greatest American, they were Christian believers and wanted nothing but a chance to live free and prosper under capitalism. The people on both sides were patriots who taught their kids the same fables and nursery rhymes. They read from the same Bible verses. And I repeat, those people slaughtered each other.

Today we are divided in ways we never have been. And I do know about things that happened before I was born.

What happen

88 When Matthew Boose writes "The Plotters Won", in one way he's correct - what comes to mind is an analogy that I do not use lightly, but rather which is present in any Great Conflict. It's much like saying that in WW2, "The Nazi's Won", because in spite of the fact that we eventually drove them from power, they were able to successfully massacre millions and drive Judaism to the brink of extinction on the continent. No victory in the future could ever undo, or justify, the Evil they were able to accomplish; but looking back, we can see that they were so focused on their Evil that they destroyed themselves in the process of carrying it out. (always the best way to tell when a movement is Evil, and not just wrong - they are drawn to self-destruction like moths to a flame)

And as to the current war we are in - We haven't even gotten to D-Day yet, our Eisenhower is still organizing the troops, assigning the divisions for the assault. To paraphrase Churchill, the collapse of the Russian Investigation was not the Beginning of the End; but it may have been the End of the Beginning.

Posted by: Tom Servo at April 12, 2019 08:06 AM (V2Yro)

89 Contra Mathew Boose, none of this is murky.

Deep State operatives in the employ of the DNC/Globalist cabal conspired to sabotage the candidacy of Donald Trump and having failed that perpetrated a coup de-tat against a sitting President.

It started as a counter-inteligence operation using a bought and paid for phony dossier from Hillary world to create the predicate for obtaining FISA warrants to begin a spying operation on his Presidential campaign, they then began inserting spies and sabatours to the operation to begin synthesizing additional rationales for expanding scope.

This counter intel operation served two purposes, one was to find enough dirt to to use against Trump so he would not win the Presidency and when Hillary won, use it to charge him with treason so that his kind would never rise again, per David Plouffe.

Having failed at preventing him from being elected, this counter inteligence operation needed to mroph into a criminal investigation to keep up the charade, so Sally Yates and crew step in and frame Michal Flynn, create enough FUD to synthesise a situation between the VP and Flynn whereby the VP feels that Flynn lied to him and he is fired, this also sets up the opportunity and atmospshere for one of the coup conspirators to help create the conditions for the appointment for a special prosecutor, he drafts the memo for the rationale to fire Comey, the President fires Comey, the Dems and never trumpers scream cover up and we need a special prosecutor, and voila a special prosecutor is appointed, even with there being no underlying crime defined in his scope document.

Muller's appointment served many fold things, throw a cloud over the Trump Presidency, work to synthesize any crimes he can, prevent any investigation into the real criminals, etc.

He also sat on the fact that his investigation into collusion and obstruction was wrapped up over a year ago till after the mid-terms to give the Donks a fighting chance to win one or both houses of congress.

There are more things to say about all of this but this shit was never and is not complicated to understand.

Hopefully the nearly three dozen treasonous bastards that need their necks stretched get their turn on the hangman's dais.

Seems more like a matter of perspective. Yes, the left has grabbed a disproportionate amount of power for a time. It seems like forever when you focus on it every minute of every day.

In reality it has not been that long a time in the history of this country. A relative blip.

And much of the power the left collected and projects is built on a house of cards. Yank a few important cards and the whole structure is going to crumble. If the left was this all powerful creature that could never be challenged because we were outnumbered Donald Trump would never have been elected president. The media would like us to think we don't have the power to fight back and for the last couple decades we haven't had the right leadership but we absolutely have the power and the numbers and more importantly the leadership and the will.

Julian Assange was indicted over a year ago. It took a while to dig him out of his hole but the key takeaway for me, aside from the explosive information he might provide, is that things most definitely are happening and have been for quite some time.

115 Greg Craig's arrest is the crack in the Blue Wall. Pressure him, he'll

former White House Council knows? Mueller was trying to pressure honest
men and it didn't work. Pressuring the dishonest, like Cohen, would have
worked if the President had been dishonest also and there were actual crimes
to hide. The left's problem is that there are crimes to hide, so
pressuring Craig will work.

This simply can't be understated. If it were not for the MFM, I truly do not believe we'd be living as the festering open sore we are today. They are not unbiased. They do not report the truth. They have shaped the culture in every way possible by the way they report or not report. Anything would have the wind at their sails if the MFM was in their corner, hence our slow destruction over the past 50 years. They've lost a lot of their power, but yes, they still possess the ability to fool the masses. It's been long enough that they've forgotten why they moved towards Southern politicians who identified as moderate to conservative democrats. (Carter and Clinton weren't at all, but they pretended to be) It was because of the 1972 election, where the liberal that they all loved and who honestly represented Democrat "values" lost 49 states to a man that no one really liked, not even on the Republican side.

and their belief that they could take down Trump has been a belief by the Deep State that they could do again what they did in 1973 -73 - Take down a President they didn't like. Yes, I do. I go back to the Nunes lawsuit against McClatchy. If you listen to him talk about it it's not the money that he's focused on although that would be nice, he is after the source of this political hit job and who is spreading these smears to the media.

The first time I went to France was an eye opening experience of being in a homogeneous culture where just about everyone was pulling in the same direction. It was oddly relaxing and made me focus on how we're a mishmash of cultures banging into each other producing a tension which, assuming ultimate assimilation, produces synergy which sets us apart. It's the assimilation part which has gotten out of whack.

However, because of what you say, I think that when the split finally comes, no one will fight very hard or very long to keep things together. Both sides are sick of each other - It'll be more like the old Czechoslovakia, which split itself in half without anyone even trying to keep it together. They did. They don't anymore. There has been a whole lot of swamp draining over the last 2 years. Far from complete but a lot of the rot has been cut away and replaced. And frankly we give the media much more credit for power than they deserve these days. The frigging Cartoon Network stomps on CNN daily.

If they did we wouldn't be seeing the shock and awe on the faces of many on the left. When Barr stated the obvious the other day, that multiple intelligence agencies were involved in spying on the Trump campaign, the shock on the faces of people like Shaheen and Schanz was clearly visible. They are afraid. And the pushback from the media and even some like Comey and Brennan has been weak and ineffectual while the anger and resolve on the right has been rising.

People who control the system aren't afraid. They took their best shot at Trump and missed.

176 OMG, this is what Mick Mulvaney was working on with his massive fed gov re-org:

President Donald Trump is expected to dissolve the Office of Personnel Management at some point during this summer . . .

The Washington Post reported that Trump plans to break up the agency into three sections, which would be absorbed by the Defense Department, the General Services Administration, and the Office of Management and Budget. Initially, all employees would be reassigned to one of these different sections, rather than being laid off. However, the total number of employees would be slowly by not replacing those who retire or who leave due to other reasons. Currently, the agency employs 5,565 people.

Posted by: JAS at April 12, 2019 08:14 AM

I've known a couple; always seem to be rather weird, offputting, people. I'd forgotten that Haldemann and Erlichmann were of that group, and Nixon toyed with it. I suspect that Scientology has taken over the strange little niche that the "Christian Scientists" (who weren't Christian, and who were not Scientists) used to fill.

Because I knew a couple, I looked into their membership numbers out of curiosity a couple years ago. And I found that they were the first to do what some of the bigger protestant denominations have started to do as their influence waned - they began to deliberately hide their membership numbers about 10 years ago, and for that reason it's almost impossible to get a handle on how many are left. But they've been selling off property consistently for the last decade, just to keep going.

The author of that article thinks there may be only 50,000 left; from my own research, I think there are less than 25,000 left in the entire country, and 90% of those are over the age of 70, probably 50% are over the age of 80. 20 years, max, and they're just an answer to a historical trivia question.

200 108 Almost al of that hippy 60s and and early 70s was MFM hype. The hippy drop out movement was actually a very few people. When I went to CA in early 1972 one of the first places I visited was Haight-Ashbury to see the hippies. All I saw was wino bums drinking out of paper bags and shitting in the streets.
Posted by: Vic at April 12, 2019 08:07 AM (mpXpK)

Even the otherwise intelligent Camille Paglia has an oddly blinkered view of the 60s as being a wonderful time that was ruined by drugs. I'm sure it was a great time for her doing academic research which springboarded her subsequent career but pretending that drugs weren't interwoven in every fucking thing going on is just daft.
Posted by: Captain Hate at April 12, 2019 08:16 AM (y7DUB)
________

The fact to remember is that the hippies and the New Left were really two distinct groups. The hippies were usually too hedonistic to care much about politics, while the serious lefties weren't that much into drugs. The identification of the two is itself a media creation.

206 I officiated at the marriage for two Christian Science Couples because they don't have ordained clergy, and Mary Baker Eddy wanted marriages services to be performed by "regular" clergy so that the faith wouldn't be seen as a "fly by night" faith the tradition. The first couple was in their mid-late 20's Seven years later they have three children and are still Christian Scientists. The other couple was in their 50's, the woman was married before. The man wasn't wasn't. I found it rather refreshing that they didn't want to have sex or live together before marriage because that was against the tenets of the church. You mean some people takes the tenets of their church. seriously?!!

They may be dropping in numbers but in my area they have a very active healing center and families lives in houses on the site. The Christian Science Church also has a radio program on the NY station early Sunday morning.

209 While I won't say for certain that the coupe plotters will face proper justice, I will point out that they not only took a swing at Trump, they put Trump's children in the cross-hairs as well. And if you haven't figured it out by now, if you throw a punch at Trump he *will* respond in kind, doubly so if family is involved.

But now the pivot point has come...the Mueller Report has been (finally) submitted so anything that follows *cannot* (the delusions of the 'rats not withstanding) be labelled as OBSTRUCTION. (

I'll also point out that two other shoes are waiting for the green light to drop...the IG's Report, and the FISA declassification. The latter item being the biggest piece of ordinance in Trump's War Chest, and a single-use item; that implies it will be held back for the moment of most effective deployment.

I'll also remind you of Trump's comments over the past several days... I do *not* regard Trump as the kind of man that makes idle, nor empty, threats. Add the first item mentioned to the latter-most and you draw your conclusions. With due respect to Mr. Sefton, Trump is NOT playing by 'DC Rules' with respect to any potential end-game... and some of the 'rats have figured that out. Hence the phony 'outrage' (and implied panic).

I will say this: there will be no mercy, and no deals, for anybody who acted against Trump (AND his children).

212 I'd say that transsexualism is less a personality disorder, and more of a body___ disorder in the vein of anorexia. The afflicted has ideas about their body and its appearance that are not reflected by reality (and heavily influenced by Hollywood). They seek to remedy the imaginary defects by extreme means, and often get hostile when you attempt to dissuade them from it.

We don't tell anorexics that yes, they really are fat, and send them off for a liposuction. The objective reality is correct and the disordered self___ is not.

Transsexualism is proof that science can be bent completely against itself by politics (Lysenko proved that decades ago, too.)

I agree - and I think the "China is going to replace the US Dollar!" article is along the same lines. Now, the Author is correct, there is a risk, and the US is doing a lot of stupid things financially, as always, and the Chinese would love to replace the dollar internationally with the Yuan. But you can't evaluate a situation just by looking at your own weaknesses, you have to look at your opponents weaknesses as well. And with respect to China, the reason the Yuan has *never* become a widely respected unti for international trade is that the instant it starts to gain strength, the Chinese Government has *never* been able to resist the urge to start manipulating it grossly in order to bring a whole lot more money into their country. The US has played games with its currency at times, but NO ONE in the world has played more games with their currency than the Chinese have, and they do it over and over and over again. It'll be a long long time, and take many many years of good financial behavior, before anyone trusts the Chinese enough to start using their currency for trade.

260 So, I watched the classic Italian neo-realist film Paisan last night.

My favorite of the six sequences was the second where a black MP in Naples gets robbed by a street urchin in the middle of the Italian Campaign. He recovers, finds the kind, demands his stuff back, and then sees the squalor that the kid lives in. Black MP ends up dropping his recovered boots and driving away.

I couldn't help thinking of this through a modern lens (thanks modern culture...I hate you), and how if this were made today, it would be by an angry black director and the black MP would be completely justified in taking everything the little kid owns.

261 Google labels "Unplanned" propaganda.
Just a matter of time before Google labels every Conservative or Right leaning site propaganda.
Instead they will direct you to The Bulwark to get your "conservative" news.

262 So...since we're apparently prosecuting for being unregistered agents of foreign powers now...

...how long until certain media organizations getting lots of Qatari and Saudi cash get busted?
