Yeah, that relationship needs to be severed --- especially in light of these revelations. In fact, the SPLC needs to be severed from all of its Tech company arrangements where they assist in identifying hate groups, fake news, hate speech, etc.. Unprecedented shutdown of conservative media voices continues apace, the mood in our major urban centers is mass hysteria against the rest of the nation, and the enemy mobilization known as "the border crisis" is at intolerable levels. You were correct in divining President Trump's strategy. The first Horowitz report was part of that strategy... and is now generally treated as full on exoneration of Hillary Clinton. not everyone is a patriot and not everything is patriotic.
for much too long the line "don't question my patriotism", uttered by someone who is overtly trying to destroy the country, has been met with "I do not and would never question your patriotism." that is not where I am. we need to embrace treason as a word and as a concept. when someone does something treasonous they should be called out for it and then punished. interestingly, the tech companies behavior domestically and their interaction with the red chinese is making this easier. With the SPLC and it's downstream customers, like Facebook, Google and most (all?) of the Progressive media companies (you know, almost all of them), it's not a tough question. Their donors and true believers are easily manipulated because they're ..... stupid. And ignorant.
--------- THIS is the question, isn't it. Stupid? Or malicious? or mass hysteria? It's a case-by-question, of course, when it comes to individuals. But, as best illustrated in Hollywood, maintaining and advocating for the Narrative isn't just helpful to one's career. It is increasingly the case that it's required for your career. I'm conservative, and how it effects me in the professional space, is that I don't talk about politics or political issue or make any jokes or other comments that would give away my political persuasion. I do that because I work among Progressives, a big company, and getting political about anything isn't worth losing a job or getting the focus of an internal Lynch mob. I'm lucky, in that I work with professionals, and the Progressives don't bring up their politics either, though they do feel comfortable to say enough that I can figure it out. But that's me. These NoVA traffic references toggle vague ancestral memories of decades spent in the area - but most of it when traffic was unrecognizably less than now.
Still recall a WaPo Metro section story - 1990? - about how a 1970 20-year master plan for NoVA transportation had set out a goal for road mileage, etc. And how by 1990 a total of 11% of the plan had been achieved. Meanwhile, population and traffic were something like double or 75% more than assumed in the plan! When friends moved to the area, just as I was about to move away, they were shocked when I told them first thing to think about with house hunting was ..... traffic. Funny, next morning their real estate agent said the same thing, and they laughed, and they had to explain why. Posted by: rhomboid at April 12, 2019 07:57 PM (QDnY+) 205

Oh FFS: California may ban hotels from giving guests tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion.
From Insty. The bill would ban “lodging establishments”, including hotels, motels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, and vacation rentals, from offering small plastic bottles holding 12 ounces or under of product in rooms or public spaces. Instead, the establishments could offer “bulk dispensers” that could be used by a number of people. The goal is to cut down on the amount of plastic containers thrown away by guests and operators. We're overrun with wetbacks, vagrants, perverts, welfare recipients, druggies, and criminals, and THIS is the issue they focus their pea brains on? Appropos of nothing, Greg Jarret is voxsplaining on his twatters that Assange's charges significantly include that he actually participated in the crime of obtaining classified info by breaking through security systems - not that he just disseminated it (which would not be a crime, necessarily). Contrasts it with the Ellsberg case, where the material was stolen by Ellsberg alone, and the newspapers faced separate sorts of (unsuccessful) charges.
