It was interesting that Tucker had that segment last night. I was talking to my sister late afternoon, yesterday and she remarked to me how the different news networks often use the same phrasing.
For instance, Hillary had her medical issue at the 9/11 event, during the campaign. You all remember that glorious moment where she was propped up against the bollard, stiff as a board, then shoved like a sack of potatoes into the SUV. Within a short time, ALL of the news outlets were repeating the phrase, "powered through". They're told what to say, and they say it. To sue the Nets for in kind contributions, one has to have standing and been harmed in some way.
Now a claim could be made about election contributions but it must be a toughie as no one has bothered with it. Probably raise more trouble than it would be worth and wouldn't change much of anything. The only people who might have standing would be anyone running against a Democrat who's gotten tv time. But that's not much dollar wise and they can always claim it's news. And what politician is going to make things harder for themselves? No. The only answer seems to be to create a counter force against them but that's expensive and not guaranteed to work. This is a case where those who are willing to cheat, win. Dear Mr. O'Spades For many years now I have followed your wonderful little blog from afar. I greatly enjoy your obvious wit and keen powers of observation. I write today, not just to offer my appreciation for your many gifts, but to put forth a modest proposal. You see, I am in the process of setting up a non governmental organization which is focused upon keeping track of and organizing the "blogosphere" if I may borrow the term. I am in dire need of an able man to helm the operation. You will be provided with a generous yearly salary of 200,000 dollars a year, and as a bonus we will provide you, during the term of your employment, the use of a Fifth Avenue apartment, fully appointed with the latest in luxury shelving. Of course, we are to be your exclusive employer and to avoid any appearance of conflict of interest you must cease and desist all operation of the "blog" Ace of Spades HQ. Nor shall you be permitted any similar "blog" pod cast or other publication, or platform of any type, nature or description, and all public appearances or interviews must be cleared in advance during the terms of your employment. We are thinking 5 year contract, with an option to renew for another 5 years upon completion of the initial contract. There will of course be additional terms and conditions as are common to all my contracts. (You will have to give us a small drop of blood in addition to your signature. Ha ha, I'm a bit old fashioned.) Look forward to your prompt response! Posted by: flounder, rebel, vulgarian, deplorable, winner at March 28, 2019 01:09 PM (t6MX/) Mmhmm. But it speaks more to the systemic vulnerabilities in the Constitution itself. Checks and balances can prevent mild corruption and mob rule. In the face of a wholly decadent and corrupt elite? The Founders declared war on an international empire for much less than Americans endure. Even then, the British had some level of decency, which mitigated the severity of the war. America was traditionally far harsher on foreign saboteurs and propagandists. But their reach was far smaller and less malicious compared to the extended criminality of the entire CNN operation. I don't think the Constitution can govern a nation that isn't bound by some morality, let alone a completely divided country. Posted by: trev006 at March 28, 2019 01:33 PM (JH+YW) 299

about the butt thing, well, it is a cultural change, started with J Lo and Sir Mix a Lot. So now women do exercises to enhance their butts, get implants, wear ridiculous yoga pants, etc. anything to get a bigger butt. Nikki Minaj had a fake butt, too. It looks like more women have bigger butts these days, but it's just fashionable. My generation (mid thirties) was really into breast implants. Personally, I think it makes women look like mules. I'm skinny and well proportioned, so I didn't buy into any of that crap.

Since it's in PDT's favor anyone mentioned in it that helped exonerate him will be hounded unmercifully. It needs to be released but with the redaction of people who will be unable to protect themselves. Some poor schmuck who operates the elevator at Trump Towers, a low level staffer, etc. Their lives will become a living hell.

First thing that has to be done is get an accurate number on the involuntarily uninsured.
-- Of course, this comes as no surprise to any of us here, but I have a friend that is in the hospital system. She deals every day with the uninsured and Obamacare. She said that since its implementation, their "uninsured, gee willikers we don't have any insurance" people coming through the door of the hospital has exploded. The others who have Ocrapcare? She says it covers practically nothing, and if it does, it's basically catastrophic because of sky high deductibles. I'm still amazed ObamaCare is not a huge millstone around Democrats necks, but you'd be amazed how many people I know think they have a "preexisting condition".
Posted by: Blago at March 28, 2019 01:44 PM (UfkIY) And the whole "pre-existing condition" thing was a strawman, anyway. Insurance companies couldn't throw anyone off. Once you had insurance they had to re-up you, no matter what you contracted. The number of people without insurance who developed a condition was tiny, and for most of them the question isn't one of insurance but of maintenance, since their conditions are chronic and the cost to treat them/service them known. That is not the purview of "insurance". Further, people in real binds used to be taken care of by: 1) Family 2) Community/Church 3) Private Charity There's a reason all the hospitals were named St. This and Mt. Sinai That. Government never built hospitals. Private companies (usually churches and charities) did. Then government made tons of rules telling them what they had to do with the hospitals they built with their own money. When I was growing up there were emergency rooms every ten or twenty minutes apart. Now, I couldn't even tell you where the nearest emergency room is. The courts "legislated"(!) them out of business. Posted by: Lady in Black - Death to the Man Bun at March 28, 2019 01:48 PM (JoUsr) ------------------------- This. Back when I was working, premiums would have been $277/mo. for just me, with a $6,500/year out of pocket before coverage started on the Silver plan. $927/mo. before it became insurance. I can't find it now but I read a news story that showed that at least part of the reason Kim Foxx dropped the case on Smollett was because she thought the law required too great a punishment for the crime. Basically she thought it was no big deal, and shouldn't have to pay for what he did.
