Tucker Carlson: The Moment Nancy Pelosi Said "I Hope the Press Focuses on Health Care," CNN Changes Its Entire Business Model and Devotes Its Full Day of Programming to, Get This, Health Care

CNN is not a news organization, he said. It's a political PAC.

And he's got the evidence.

Video also at Real Clear Politics.

There's also a transcript there for those who can't watch the video, but the video is the better way to get the information, because he includes a lot of clips from CNN.

"The collusion takes place right out in the open on your television."

Must-watch.

31 It was interesting that Tucker had that segment last night. I was talking to my sister late afternoon, yesterday and she remarked to me how the different news networks often use the same phrasing.

For instance, Hillary had her medical issue at the 9/11 event, during the campaign. You all remember that glorious moment where she was propped up against the bollard, stiff as a board, then shoved like a sack of potatoes into the SUV.

Within a short time, ALL of the news outlets were repeating the phrase, "powered through". They're told what to say, and they say it.

Now a claim could be made about election contributions but it must be a toughie as no one has bothered with it. Probably raise more trouble than it would be worth and wouldn't change much of anything.

The only people who might have standing would be anyone running against a Democrat who's gotten tv time.

But that's not much dollar wise and they can always claim it's news.

And what politician is going to make things harder for themselves?

No. The only answer seems to be to create a counter force against them but that's expensive and not guaranteed to work.

Dear Mr. O'Spades

For many years now I have followed your wonderful little blog from afar. I greatly enjoy your obvious wit and keen powers of observation. I write today, not just to offer my appreciation for your many gifts, but to put forth a modest proposal.

You see, I am in the process of setting up a non governmental organization which is focused upon keeping track of and organizing the "blogosphere" if I may borrow the term. I am in dire need of an able man to helm the operation. You will be provided with a generous yearly salary of 200,000 dollars a year, and as a bonus we will provide you, during the term of your employment, the use of a Fifth Avenue apartment, fully appointed with the latest in luxury shelving. Of course, we are to be your exclusive employer and to avoid any appearance of conflict of interest you must cease and desist all operation of the "blog" Ace of Spades HQ. Nor shall you be permitted any similar "blog" pod cast or other publication, or platform of any type, nature or description, and all public appearances or interviews must be cleared in advance during the terms of your employment.

We are thinking 5 year contract, with an option to renew for another 5 years upon completion of the initial contract. There will of course be additional terms and conditions as are common to all my contracts. (You will have to give us a small drop of blood in addition to your signature. Ha ha, I'm a bit old fashioned.)

Look forward to your prompt response!

Your friend,

I admire your moxie, but... you don't have First Amendment rights. You can't even go to colleges flooded with public money and speak your piece without being officially and unofficially attacked, often quite literally. Berkeley is not the only school that shakes speakers down for vast sums of money.

Rights that are only extended to one caste in a nation are more like privileges.

Au contraire. The reason that campaigning is so expensive is precisely because of the cost of TV advertising. Getting free coverage from the media is quite literally priceless. Without the media in the bag for Democrats, they don't get elected dogcatcher, as I said before.

In other words, I pay a significant membership fee monthly (think a lease on a Caddy) so that I can pay a slightly lower price for other services that I might or might not need.

BTW... this was never the case before Obamacare. And it's due to people who are not paying their hospital bills.

My two cent analysis is that now with everyone having a camera of the highest quality in their pocket and the ability to "share" the photos and study themselves ad nauseum, everything that is remotely sexual becomes fetishized and then along comes cheap plastic surgery and everything get pumped up to the max.

Before, it was happenstance that you heard or became aware of people's affinity for curvaceous women, unless you were one and courted by people with that affinity. Otherwise, you assumed it was whatever the fashion mags sold.

Put me in the camp of admirers of most women, short of one cheeto short of bursting or knocking on deaths door.

Mmhmm. But it speaks more to the systemic vulnerabilities in the Constitution itself. Checks and balances can prevent mild corruption and mob rule. In the face of a wholly decadent and corrupt elite? The Founders declared war on an international empire for much less than Americans endure. Even then, the British had some level of decency, which mitigated the severity of the war. America was traditionally far harsher on foreign saboteurs and propagandists. But their reach was far smaller and less malicious compared to the extended criminality of the entire CNN operation.

I don't think the Constitution can govern a nation that isn't bound by some morality, let alone a completely divided country.

300 about the butt thing, well, it is a cultural change, started with J Lo and Sir Mix a Lot. So now women do exercises to enhance their butts, get implants, wear ridiculous yoga pants, etc. anything to get a bigger butt. Nikki Minaj had a fake butt, too. It looks like more women have bigger butts these days, but it's just fashionable. My generation (mid thirties) was really into breast implants. Personally, I think it makes women look like mules. I'm skinny and well proportioned, so I didn't buy into any of that crap.

Twerking now...that's just weird to me. I first saw it in strip clubs where the...quality and skill levels were pretty high. But a lot of 'dancing' nowadays just seems to be dry humping in public.

Sigh.

I loved ballroom and Latin dancing back when I was single. Missed out on most of the bump and grind scene, never was a raver either.

disparaged my butt...TO MY FACE. Girls back then in Playboy generally

is GREAT????

375 102 "They don't have a plan to replace Obamacare!"

First off, fuck you. Second, Obamacare is pile of shit that made health insurance less affordable and health care less accessible for millions of people, so fuck off with that shit. Third, fuck your assumption that the federal government has any business fucking with health insurance markets in the first place. And fourth, just unfucking the Obamacare mess to return to the status quo ante, which was fucked up but less fucked up, is a boon in and of itself. And finally, fuck you sideways with a flaming, barbed-wire wrapped pineapple you fascist propagandist shitbags.

The club I went to (and it was only a 10 month period of my life) was pretty f***ed up all around.

You didn't have to worry about who was or wasn't on E, because EVERYBODY was, except the 60-something year old owner back in the office.

Of course, this comes as no surprise to any of us here, but I have a friend that is in the hospital system. She deals every day with the uninsured and Obamacare. She said that since its implementation, their "uninsured, gee willikers we don't have any insurance" people coming through the door of the hospital has exploded. The others who have Ocrapcare? She says it covers practically nothing, and if it does, it's basically catastrophic because of sky high deductibles.

408 I'm still amazed ObamaCare is not a huge millstone around Democrats necks, but you'd be amazed how many people I know think they have a "preexisting condition".

Posted by: Blago at March 28, 2019 01:44 PM (UfkIY)

And the whole "pre-existing condition" thing was a strawman, anyway. Insurance companies couldn't throw anyone off. Once you had insurance they had to re-up you, no matter what you contracted.

The number of people without insurance who developed a condition was tiny, and for most of them the question isn't one of insurance but of maintenance, since their conditions are chronic and the cost to treat them/service them known. That is not the purview of "insurance".

Further, people in real binds used to be taken care of by:

1) Family
2) Community/Church
3) Private Charity

There's a reason all the hospitals were named St. This and Mt. Sinai That. Government never built hospitals. Private companies (usually churches and charities) did. Then government made tons of rules telling them what they had to do with the hospitals they built with their own money.

When I was growing up there were emergency rooms every ten or twenty minutes apart. Now, I couldn't even tell you where the nearest emergency room is. The courts "legislated"(!) them out of business.

This. Back when I was working, premiums would have been $277/mo. for just me, with a $6,500/year out of pocket before coverage started on the Silver plan. $927/mo. before it became insurance. That's a freaking mortgage.
