Southern "Poverty" Law Center Insiders: The SPLC Is a "Highly Profitable Scam"
Peter Hanson:The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a "highly profitable scam" that "never lived up to the values it espoused," according to former SPLC staffer Bob Moser. The New Yorker on Thursday published a scathing essay from Moser, now a Rolling Stone reporter, accusing the left-wing non-profit of "ripping off donors" while turning a blind eye to sexual harassment and racial discrimination within its own ranks. The SPLC fired co-founder Morris Dees on March 13 over unspecified conduct issues. The SPLC announced Dees' firing after roughly two dozen SPLC employees previously signed a letter to the organization’s leadership expressing their alarm at "allegations of mistreatment, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and racism," The Los Angeles Times reported.A racist, sexist, sexual-harassment organization presumes to lecture us about racism, sexism, and hate. We're in 1984 now. The Mueller Dud Update: I missed this, this morning. (Go figure.) The DOJ says the Mueller report will not contain any derogatory information about anyone not charged in the case. That means that the report will not just throw a lot of dirt that can't be proven at Trump, absent any crime. Which is what Democrats and NeverTrumpers have been praying for, if only to give them some intellectual cover for pushing this conspiracy theory for three years.
"The firing of Dees has flushed up all the uncomfortable questions again. Were we complicit, by taking our paychecks and staying silent, in ripping off donors on behalf of an organization that never lived up to the values it espoused? Did we enable racial discrimination and sexual harassment by failing to speak out?" Moser asked in his article. One of Moser's former colleagues answered in the affirmative. "Of course we did," she told Moser. "It's shameful, but when you’re there you kind of end up accepting things. I never even considered speaking out when things happened to me! It doesn’t feel good to recognize that. I was so into the work, and so motivated by it, I kind of shrugged off what was going on." A spokesman for the SPLC did not return an email seeking comment on Moser's article.

Michigan Department of Civil Rights Director Agustin Arbulu announced the department is creating a process to document hate and bias incidents that don't rise to the level of a crime or civil infraction.
Attorney General Dana Nessel previously announced plans for a hate crimes unit in her office. She reiterated the plans Friday after a report from the Southern Poverty Law Center found active hate and extremist groups in Michigan had increased by more than 6 percent from 2017 to 2018.
The center's report said Michigan has 31 hate and extremist organizations --- an uptick from the 28 the group reported in 2017 --- but some of the listed groups take issue with the classification.

Yep. And if you go back to the beginning of Sessions time in office or even read the transcript of the talk that Rosenstein gave yesterday at Sessions' chair ceremony, they both talk about the importance of returning the DOJ to normal process.
In other words, no leaking, no discussing ongoing investigations and if you aren't going to charge someone you don't talk about them. Period.

I was having a pleasant text chat with my cousin in Tallahassee, and thanking her for putting spring flowers on my parents' graves, and my sister was included.

I think it's been clear to all of us for a long time that the real reason for doing this was first, of course, political - but also, they figured that if they could just start an Investigation of Trump then all kinds of bad stuff was going to fall out of the woodwork, and they could run with that. (Projection, anyone)
And they simply cannot believe that a businessmen like him, who had dozens of high dollar lawyers and very capable high paid accountants on his payroll, actually followed all of the rules and did everything he did By the Book.
And THAT's why there's nothing to report.

My husband and I contributed to the Red Cross right after 9/11. The contribution was specifically for search/recovery efforts. We found out the Red Cross was withholding some of these funds for other parts of the world.
I've not given to the Red Cross since.

Here's the question, is it something that Donald Trump does to them where in the act of attacking him they end up destroying themselves? I'm asking because we see this pattern occurring over and over again . Some liberal organization or Nutter pops up and attacks Donald Trump , and the next thing you know all of their personal peccadilloes come back and Destroy them like Torpedoes they put in the water with the safeties off. I would ascribe this to political vindictiveness on the president's part, but it doesn't seem like he actually does anything. It's important to note that Trump's not like Barack Obama , where Obama would bring the full weight of the federal government down on his real or perceived enemies. The people who attacked the president just sort of collapse after attacking him.
Think Michael Avenatti, or CNN's ratings, or National Review. Seriously, There's an actual pattern here, and nobody's talking about it.
Look, I'm not saying that Trump's protected by some weird aura, but I am saying that it's an option, just saying.
