So I told her all about how the House couldn't pass a simple resolution condemning anti-Semitism, even a watered down one against hate and not mentioning Omar.

Feels like an advantage of the identity politics push.
Jewish Democrats welcomed it because they were actually Democrats first, and anything to support the party was considered good. Now, though, they know that their Jewish identity is supposed to be important to them, but they've helped raise the profile and power of those with different identities who hate their identity.
These Jews aren't even saying anything remotely Republican or conservative to receive this ire from their own side. It's merely a reflection of who they are.
Hopefully, this feeling spreads to other groups within the party, and we get our Democratic Civil War after they lose to Trump again in 2020.

The Dem shift away from Jews really vocally (in reality, it has been going on for a long time) ties in to both. They're willing to sacrifice the votes since there aren't that many of them and they have the opportunity to get more from Muslims. The money is a bigger problem, but the Dems have moved really hard away from "grass roots" fundraising recently. They are captive to their mega-donors now, and the mega-donors orchestrate the money in favor power rather than ideology. They no longer need "Jewish money" - the just need money from a handful of mega-influencers. Some of those mega donors are Jewish, but they worship Power far more than G-d.

The thing about any core support from a group isn't just the overall percentages of votes within that group, but their size within the electorate.
The number of blacks voting as a percentage of the population fell from 2012 to 2016, and Trump gained a greater percentage of that vote than Romney had.
I would never expect blacks to suddenly go 50/50, but what we saw from 2012 to 2016 could be the first step in blacks actually peeling off from the Democratic Party. Fewer of them voted (indicating potentially diminished enthusiasm for the party) and the ones who did leaned slightly more Republican. Maybe that's just the lack of Obama on the ticket. We'll see as more cycles go by, though.

Not many grocery stores in NYC.
Somehow Whole Foods got a few locations in though. I guess the upper class liberals who decide on these things thought Whole Foods was ok but Walmart was verboten. Go figure.

OK I used chef loosely, but everyone on that show makes their dough selling food for a living.

Consolidating the Banking industry into massive banks, too big to fail, that ALSO controlled more voting stock on the Fed Board itself.
