Good Morning Morons; today is Sunday, February 17, 2019. On this day in 1801 an electoral tie between Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr was resolved when Jefferson was elected President of the United States and Burr, Vice President by the House of Representatives. Boy did we luck out on that one.

Former top FBI lawyer James Baker, in closed-door testimony to Congress, detailed alleged discussions among senior officials at the Justice Department about invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office, claiming he was told Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said two Trump Cabinet officials were ready to support such an effort.
Does anybody believe this lying asshole? I don't and neither does this asshole. On Thursday, the Justice Department issued a statement that said Rosenstein rejects McCabe's recitation of these events 'as inaccurate and factually incorrect.' It also denied that Rosenstein ever OK'd wearing a "wire" to tape Trump. So this asshole says he is a liar. I say the top echelons of the FBI are all crooked and this organization needs to be cleaned out from the top down to the first level supervision. https://tinyurl.com/y5qflp4y Posted by: Vic at February 17, 2019 05:57 AM (mpXpK) 5
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, C-Calif., who is planning unmerited and aggressive partisan investigations of President Trump, has plenty of questions he should be answering about his own activities.
He was mixed up in that attempted coup with the Fusion GPS mess. Whey did not the Republican panel call this SOB up for some 'aggressive questions' when they had the chance? And when his panel starts acting like the assholes that they are the people being grilled should politely tell him to kiss their ass. Are do like Scankles and lie. Good morning, y'all. The forecast is talking about a week of lousy weather: cold, a mix of rain and sleet, maybe some snow. Screw that. We will get some errands done this morning so we don't have to leave our nice warm house. This crap weather calls for sleeping late, reading, making soups and other dishes that cook for hours in a low oven, taking naps (encouraged by the dog), reloading ammo, listening to music, and planning on which flies and lures to make for when fishing picks up in April. Almost everyone of the males on my father's side had experience heart disease. After I did extensive research in this I found the #3 cause was listed as genetic with diet and life style as the top two. I would move genetic up to the top and the other two below them. Hillary and Comey are not in prison, so indeed, there is no longer justice.
Smollet faked this whole incident ... what about the DNC faking the whole Trump/Russia scam, to cover up their own crimes (Skolkovo espionage, Uranium One, the whole pay to play, globalist sedition, etc.) The Mueller coup is only a billion times more important ... but the media still pushes Trump/Russia. And it is too cozy that Barr/Mueller seem to be buddies, with their wives in a church group together. Barr already confirmed Mueller's coup must continue ... pathetic -- sedition at the very top. Everyone here goes out to a place called "Mr B's" after church on Sunday. I used to like to go there on Sunday as well, but you had to get there before 11:30 after which the church crowd started rolling in. They had the best fried chicken chicken and other fix'ns in the county.
If you gut there after 11:30 the line was an hour long and cars were parked all up and down the highway. Posted by: Vic at February 17, 2019 07:46 AM (mpXpK) 191

She couldn't steal it because the state did a voter roll clean-up that purged 90k (?) or so names of former residents, the deceased, the unverifiable (e.g. did not respond to attempts to reach them at their registered address). This is how the Dems win, and I suspect they tried - still trying - to make legally-required cleaning the voter rolls a "scandal"/disenfranchisement to try to stop it from being done in other states. The IL shooter story is an interesting one. He applied to the IL State Police for a FOID in 2014 and somehow they missed his felony conviction and domestic battery arrest and he got it. Now in IL you cannot buy a firearm without the FOID card. So, next he went to a gun store, lied on his 4473, and they sold him a (according to 1 report, it's a SW .40 cal semi-auto handgun with laser sighting) gun.
Next, he actually applied for an IL concealed carry permit. This time, the background check turned up his felony and the State Police sent him a letter in 2014 demanding he turn in the gun. He ignored them. Now questions are being asked about why the SP never followed up on the letter; count on weasel words about how they are understaffed etc etc etc. So of course the usual suspects such as Chelsea Clinton are calling for universal background checks, a ban on private sales, and the outlawing of 'assault weapons'. Dems want to make sure there is no concrete wall, which imo is because they plan to fully dismantle it if they ever get power back. Pathetic that they almost all were strong supporters of stopping illegals a few years back, when unions cared enough to protect their workers.
seems like there are many regions that are becoming Hispanic territory, where workers come in and even get housing built for them, with the builder himself perhaps providing it. I figured down around Houma (SW of New Orleans) was not much affected by the illegal infiltration, but hunters here told me about masses of them with their own communities ... make payments to the boss (for the housing) or they are kicked out. Like little serfdoms or something ... builders and WalMart and bankers love it, apparently. Posted by: illiniwek at February 17, 2019 08:00 AM (Cus5s) 220

Jussie Smollett 'angered and devastated' at suggestions he was involved in his attack
Yet in a late night statement from his attorneys on Saturday, Smollett hit back at the suggestion that the incident was a hoax, and expressed incredulity that the brothers could have been involved. --- Ah yes, the "how DARE you accuse me!!!" defense. Usually buys a little time before the little people who are facing actual jail dime you out. We'll see how that works out. Posted by: A.H. Lloyd at February 17, 2019 08:23 AM (cfSRQ) 265

260 For the record, I don't think we're in a cold civil
war. I think there's a lot of arguing on cable news and Twitter, but out in the hinterland no one notices. Talking with an old friend last night, I asked him about the late 60s and he said there was no comparison in terms of civil breakdown and violence. Other than throwing pixels at each other, things are actually much more peaceful. I know it's always 1932 in Berlin for some people, but I think that's partly because our bloated professional writing sector has to fill the time with something. People in the 60s weren't carrying concealed with an AR in the truck. Posted by: The Artist Formerly Known as SD at February 17, 2019 08:24 AM (NXJPt) --- I agree. A while back my wife was upset that some idiot on social media was claiming to have sited "fascists" eating lunch in a local restaurant and was calling for backup to attack them. I told her not to get worked up. If these guys had actual conviction, they wouldn't be going online asking for *someone else* to please do their dirty work, they'd have done it. And the reason they didn't do it personally probably has to do with the fact that Michigan is a shall-issue state and has hundreds of thousands of permit holders. Swinging a bike lock in the Great Lakes State could get some hot lead in response, which is why Antifa mostly bloviates on the internet. This also proves my point about the "civil war." You need two sides to fight and both have to be willing to die for the cause. I don't see noodle-armed baristas having that kind of determination. Antifa is basically cosplay. Posted by: A.H. "The biggest causes of cancer?
Genetics and stress." probably true ... stress has many bad effects, but it is hard to diagnose that as a cause. Another reason for people to leave the big city and find a peaceful community, or even some acreage. The genetics is certainly real ... I wonder too if some of that is heritage, in that habits and diet can be introduced in childhood, even ethics or religion as part of that. It is a sort of cultural "genetics", though much of that is now overridden by BigBrother and especially now with everyone so digital. Posted by: illiniwek at February 17, 2019 08:32 AM (Cus5s) 278

There were other attempts (Ford) and it was the start of the long downward spiral of crime in urban areas. It made Detroit into, well Detroit.
