The Morning Rant: J.V. Edition

There's some raw meat below the fold, but this made me chuckle. And the responses are just as funny. So for today, I hope the spittle flecking your screens is from laughter...

Tenn. man accused of pulling gun on people wearing MAGA hats
Pierce tells 13 News that he was shopping with his wife when Phillips "Pulled a .40 caliber out and stuck it in my face, backed up and said, 'It's a good day for you to die.'"

Pierce went on to tell 13 News, "I said, 'Then pull the trigger. Put the gun down and fight me or pull the trigger. Whichever one you want.' And he backed up and he said it again, he said, 'It's a good day for you to die.'"

JJ Sefton covered this story already, but that quotation is just too good!
[Hat Tip: Bitter Clinger]
******
This is a 14-year-old story. And it refers to an obscene expenditure 15 years before that, so let us not pretend; there has been a border crisis in this country for a very long time. The uncountable billions of dollars spent on illegals over the last two generations could have been spent on Americans, or even better...not taken in taxes in the first place.

Spared as children -- then cut loose: The state paid for two illegal immigrants' new livers. They need organs again, but it's a different story at 21.

Ana Puente was an infant with a liver disorder when her aunt brought her illegally to the U.S. to seek medical care. She underwent two liver transplants at UCLA Medical Center as a child in 1989 and a third in 1998, each paid for by the state.
I am confident that the little loophole has been fixed, and these illegals are getting new livers and hearts and other expensive medical care that crowds out the very people who paid for it...American citizens.

We cannot be the world's policeman, and we cannot be the world's hospital. Call me a racist, call me a nationalist, call me whatever you wish...I don't care. This is wrong, it is not moral, and it is unsustainable. A 22 trillion dollar national debt would seem to demonstrate that last point rather conclusively.

7 Well some newspaper in Alabama has come out and openly called for the lynching of the political class in DC. The story is on Drudge. Now would be a good time to run with this idea Ace.
Set up a poll asking if the base thinks this is a good idea or not. The cat is out of the bag and it is now a "news" story so let us openly discuss the matter. Should we kill the current Political Class and replace them with another or do we just kind of drift along with what we have as we circle the drain. Do we take off the gloves and clean house and drain the swamp or do we just keep going the way we are going? We need to make the choice.

We're constantly being lectured by Obamacare and now Medicare for All types that not everyone should be treated, that maybe it's better to let granny die, or abort the baby with defects blah blah blah. OK, now do illegal immigrants who have required multiple organ transplants!

it is tricky business ... Reagan got some of the voodoo economics ball rolling. It did jump start the economy (I guess, along with other things) ... but it got the deficit spending ball rolling.

Volcker slowed things (inflation potential) down, but Greenspan got coerced into pedal to the metal easy money policy (despite/after his "irrational exuberance" statement), which put Wall Street (globalists) in the driver's seat, and Goldman/Morgan globalists right in the WH and the IMF and other agencies tossing debt instruments around like WMDs. (with a quadrillion in an unregulated derivative market as their toy, eventually underwritten by America itself ... thanks a lot, to those mobsters)

Pushing easy (fiat) money (debt) into the world makes things go fast, for a while, while the lenders and inside traders (traitors) are the middle men collecting the real wealth. We then move into the world we have now, massive debts on the public, the (0.1%) rich now richer than since the Roaring 20's.

Criminal? they got some small fines.

Yes. It that's what put me off as well. However, facially it seem to be her, difficult to tell however. Her hair is covered and the big coat. She is walking better than she was when she was filmed walking into the capitol last year. She was walking very bent over and incredibly slowly. I wasn't kidding when I said it "might" be her. It looks like her facially, but not only did she recover from her sugery, she APPEARS to have recovered from a severe pathologic kyphosis. Which, you know, doesn't just happen from bedrest.

The smart play would have been to retire in 2012 or 2013 and let Obama choose her successor, some young lefty firebrand who would be on the court until 2040 or 2050.

But now she has to wait to see what happens in 2020. And if Trump overcomes all of the Democrat cheat machines and gets re-elected, she'll have to wait until 2024 to retire, or be dead by then.

Here is an important point that I have mentioned before; the path to totalitarianism isn't a new one, there are lots of proven ways to get there. But none of those paths that I'm aware of included "be a bunch of miserable cunts to the majority for a quarter century before attempting to censor and physically attack them"...
The big mistake the left is making is that they keep acting like shits before they've sealed the deal. All of this SJW crap, "all our opponents are racist", followed by "they're all sexist" and now "they're all nazis", the deplatforming, the violence - people are sick of this shit. They're angry. Some of this is because the left wants to provoke a response, but a lot of it is just short-sightedness...
When the time comes, you're going to have all of these really pissed off, well-armed people who are being told they're going to be second (or third, or fourth) class citizens with no rights, and that they're supposed to disarm, and that they're going to get raped with taxes. And then someone with a smartphone is going to film antifa or some shitty crooked blue city PD beating someone to death, and away we go.

. . .
You joke, Fen, but when Hurricane Betsy (1965) hit Da Swamp, they didn't close the schools at all. It was the first day of school, my first in junior high. Day started off sunny and hot, but got darker and darker, and by 1:00 was raining like crazy . . . and they didn't dismiss us until 3:15. The hurricane hit that night. So maybe administrators were tougher-minded in those days.
Of course, it was Da Swamp, so "stupid" is always an option.

Plus, he'll play for an NFL team next year as opposed to 2-3 years in the minors in baseball.

He made the decision at the end of his high school career - he's a local East Texas boy, and as you know his dad was an MLB pitcher.

Scouts have called him one of the best all-around athlete they've ever seen. In his high school days, not only was he the leading passer, he was also the leading rusher most of the time. And on the baseball team, he was the best starting pitcher by far, throwing at least 2 no-hitters, and he ALSO was the leading home run hitter. It's hard to imagine someone that not only is that good, but is that good at everything they do.

Yes it might be one guy in one small town, that being said the number of comments on this board indicate that the sentiment is not his in isolation. So if we want things to change then we need to be willing to openly discuss these kind of options. Now if you think it would be a bad move to kill the traitors to our country then that is your right. I however think it would be a good idea and will not condemn him for broaching the subject. Now I might have a bit of a problem with him wanting to use the KKK but we as the base could fill that role.

320 I had a brain stem stroke a year ago last December. I could read fine and understand speech fine, however, when speaking I had ridiculous difficulty remembering nouns and proper nouns. So people's names were just gone. Plant and bird names just gone. Although I could tell all about a specific plant or bird. It was the weirdest thing. I knew what an apple was, how to eat, cook, grow one but couldn't say the word.

From the beginnings of med MJ in CA, it was MUCH more lucrative to sell illegally. To the point where a lot of the legal grow operations were actually using just a small part of their total production for legal med distribution. The rest was shipped out of state.

As I recall, about 6 years or so ago, the owner of the biggest legal med MJ dispensary in the Central Coast (Santa Barbara, Ventura etc) was busted driving a truck full of illegal weed.... in Oklahoma.

Like Stokely Carmichael, Barack Obama, Eric Holder, Corey Booker and Kamala Harris, these are blacks who are of mixed race. Why are they the worst racists so often? I've noticed that men like Clarence Thomas, black men, seem more mild-mannered and comfortable in their own skins. Just my opinion.

I think it goes back to the early 20th Century and the struggle between WEB DuBois and Booker T Washington. Definite color difference between those two, just look at their photos.

Also, remember the "paper bag test"? That was used by snooty light-skinned blacks to exclude darker skin black folk from the higher classes.

Anne Coulter is so full of shit here.

First, she says:

... the bill prohibits Trump from using any Homeland Security funds to build a wall anywhere along the border. Only bollard fencing is permitted

At first I was disappointed these new walls going up were limited to existing types already used, until I got a good look at the beefed up versions that DHS was erecting. One, they are at a minimum 18-feet high, with five feet of steel plate to prevent climbing by hand. Some are 30-feet high and being used in dense urban areas, like Calexico, CA (but sometimes without top plate.) In addition, these barriers go 6 feet into the ground, incased in 8 feet of concrete. No one is digging a tunnel under and up one of those things without spending the better part of the day. If CBP doesn't have eyes and ears on the boarder to let that happen without catching on, then they are lacking other infrastructure besides good walls.

Yes, the concrete prototype walls looked very imposing and much more attractive than thee steel-girder "fences" but I've seen reports that each 25-foot wide cost around 400k each. Probably much higher due to being prototype construction, but I wouldn't be surprised designs with such a finished look are very costly. Compare that to the my back of the envelop cost per 25-feet of a 20 miles stretch completed in New Mexico:

$17,300
(cost of contract was $73 Million)

Btw, here is video of that section newly completed (check out at minute five standing next to the gate.):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XonPNUeLH-k

And that project was completed 5 months early. It was expected to take a year, started last April and finished in November. If they'd used one of those prototype designs, it'd probably be years to complete those 20 miles.

Back to Ann...

She says:

even that is allowed in only one small section of the border with the approval of local authorities.

Inasmuch as the "local authorities" in that particular sector are liberal Democrats and/or beholden to Mexican cartels, the bill Trump just signed effectively prohibits any barrier whatsoever from being built on the border.

Bullshit. What she doesn't say is one, this stipulation only applies to the new funds for FY19... any previous funding and money gotten from the Emergency Declaration, etc. is not affected. Further, this requirement expires. at the end of the Fiscal year. Its right there in the text of the bill...

Such consultations shall continue until September 30, 2019 (or until agreement is reached, if earlier)

And for this nonsense:

The bill also expressly prohibits the deportation of any illegal aliens who are part of a household, or thinking of becoming part of a household, that contains an "unaccompanied minor" - i.e. any illegal alien who claims to be under 18 years old with no parent in the country.

The only scenario where that applies is when an illegal alien relative comes to pick up an unaccompanied child being held by the Feds. They'd still need to pass a background check and steady job. This provision also expires September 30th, so its hardly "Amnesty." Besides, are we even deporting this class of illegal aliens anyways? AFAIK, we are only deporting aliens with criminal records.

I'm done.
