The Seftonless Morning Report: (2/13/19)

Sorry, but While I am an insomniac (not the Florida variety) I'm not getting up at half past way too damned early to give you your usual dose of Sefton brilliance. So you can take this and smile...or not...either way I am going back to sleep.

But before I do, I will freely admit that I have no idea at all what President Trump's end game is with respect to the border wall. Is he trying to draw it out so that the Democrats fracture? Is he caving? Is he going to fund it administratively via the various methods that have been discussed ad nauseam?

That little game that some people have figured out with airline tickets is...I guess...against the rules. But I see airline pricing the same way I used to see the recording industry; I know it's stealing to download MP3s or copy other people's music or whatever. But I just didn't care.

Anyway, enjoy the abbreviated Morning Report and try not to make too much of a mess of the place. Sefton made me promise to keep it neat!

Is anyone thrilled? But who knows what the end result will be.

I'm not happy with it either.

But Trump says he can get the needed funding from other sources.

There's allegedly 4,000 chemicals in cigarette smoke, allegedly (again) 400 chemicals in marijuana smoke.

Vaping 'juice' contains 2 chemicals plus some level of optional nicotine. It could perhaps contain a few more chemicals if people are purchasing flavored juice.

The 'juice' is a common thing at concerts and Broadway style shows where an eerie appearance of smoke is desired. I have a musician relative who used to bitch about the stuff because he claimed it got all over his instruments and was slippery.

But it was fine and dandy for government agencies to permit its usage in a crowd of hundreds and possible tens of thousands of people present. No health warnings posted.

Suddenly, it's the worst thing ever.

We may finally know what causes Alzheimer's -- and how to stop it

There still looking at *inflammation* as the cause. Now from the gums. There's also some research into a gut to brain connection. Inflammation there, too.

Best low cost prevention still seems to be keep inflammatory foods out of your diet. Eat as many anti-inflammatory foods as you can afford.

One anti-inflammatory is the spice used in Indian (dot) foods. Allegedly they have almost zero incidence of Alzheimers there. Could also be they die young there.

I remember back starting late about the 90's getting a DUI was enough to ruin your life for several years with endless expenses, fines, lawyers, suspensions, insurance, even get you fired and declared social outcast. Used to be as bad as being accused of racism is today. But now it no big deal when an illegal does it.

60 Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes.

I've been reading a 1975 book, Uncle of Europe: The Social and Diplomatic Life of Edward VII by Gordon Brook-Shepherd. It's a bit out of date, but a nice read, chock full of little tit-bits such as this, concerning Edward's regular trips to the spa town of Marienbad as well as his reputation as a seducer of women:

"Such was the King's amorous reputation that candidates for his favours took to turning up in Marienbad, as though they were applying for an official post. His secretary, the hard-worked Ponsonby, describes one such applicant, who arrived at his office at the end of an arduous day of interviews.

"His appointments had begun with an Austrian Countess, who wanted him to provide a special pass to exempt her dogs from quarantine on a journey to England. . .

"Finally, the lady was announced, a beautiful Viennese, who told him quite simply that she wanted to have the honour of sleeping with the King. Ponsonby replied that this was quite out of the question. She considered this rebuff for a moment and then suggested that, in order not to waste the money she had spent on her train fare, she might as well go to bed with the King's secretary instead. This offer too was declined, at which the lady got up and left in a huff.

She must have thought the English very ungallant."

I don't have a picture of the lady, but here's a shot of Princess Gabriella, the daughter of Austrian Archduchess Marie-Astrid:

64 CBD, assuming you haven't gone to sleep yet...

Your take on MP3s mirrors mine on movies. I'm very impatient with the little PSA-type notices that say the movie is the product of hundreds of people and piracy puts them out of work. I look at it from two perspectives:

A) the distribution model is greatly flawed. If the industry truly embraced streaming instead of trying to create highly curated and proprietary systems, each one requiring a separate subscription and each one not carrying a complete library (CBS is particularly vile) then piracy would drop very low. Apple found this when they went DRM free with their music library.

B) Since the industry decided to go all-in with politics, the piracy decision is predictable pushback. Why should I give $50 to an industry that wants me dead? This along with the extreme ease to get copies of first run movies to play at home also informs a lot of decisions to just go that route.

I've heard they have a lot of money, somehow. But any group that leans strongly toward doing business with their own can help itself a lot. I've heard that is true for Mormons as well, and I suppose it should work for "America First". Of course they make laws against white people doing it, and demand diversity hires for whitey businesses.

But imagine (for example) a Mormon (or xyz group) moves to a town and opens a dry cleaner. There was no XYZ owned dry cleaner before, but now all the XYZers get the notice, and they ALL start doing business with that guy ... instant success, and maybe one or two other dry cleaners have to close.

That's fine, as long as everyone can (and does) have their preferred group and play that game ... but not everyone does that, they are "free market" people, or they have laws against their group (mostly against whitey, if he is not LGBT approved liberal).

This just in from Mueller's office:

"After conducting an exhaustive investigation and following all leads, this office has not found sufficient evidence to refer this matter for prosecution. This should not be construed to mean that the subjects of this investigation are innocent of wrongdoing, it merely means that there was not sufficient evidence available to our investigators to support a reasonable likelihood of conviction. Therefore, my office has determined that the best course of action at this time is to suspend the investigation, pending further developments.

Should new evidence become available in the future, the investigation will be re-opened and then my buddy Big Jim Comey and I will swiftly bring the Wrath of God down upon the comb-over of the Bad Orange Man!"

123 Good morning! And . . wow, there it is, confirmed, underlined, bolded:

Mallory Millett: In 1969 I attended consciousness-raising sessions in New York City with my sister, Kate, where a group of 10-15 women sat around a long oval table and plotted the New Feminist Movement and the founding of NOW. Their template was Mao's China and the group confessionals conducted in each village in order to "cleanse the people's thinking."

The burning objective of Kate's consciousness-raising was "the destruction of the American family," as she deemed it "a patriarchal institution devoted to the oppression and enslavement of women and children."

They went on to form NOW and, with that organization, achieve their stated goal of taking down the Patriarchy through a massive coordinated promotion of promiscuity, eroticism, prostitution, abortion and homosexuality.

Their proposed method was to infiltrate every institution in the nation: the universities, the media, primary and secondary schools, PTAs, teachers unions, city and state governments, the library system, the executive branches of government as well as the judiciaries and legislatures.

One of their most desired results was the smashing of every taboo in Western culture. Imagine that! Think of that alone! The normalizing of every taboo: polygamy, bestiality, Satanism, pornography, promiscuity, witchcraft, pedophilia --- all activities which rot the human soul and city. Nothing burns down a society with such dispatch and totality as the unleashing of taboos.

181 My Sister Kate
One of the icons of the feminist movement was actually a psychopath...

The sister makes an important point, early on. She says the traditional split was that men ran "the world" and women ran society. But women have abdicated that.

This was inevitable, though. When politics becomes everything (and it is so with virtually all modern ideas), society doesn't amount to much. Nock saw this coming, as did Lewis and GKC. Orwell, I think, assumed that social power would continue to function as before.

Anyway, a consequence is that "the world" takes over, dominating social life. And of course then women will tend to go feminist. There's nothing left for them to do, otherwise. The notion of restoration doesn't occur to them.

My understanding is that all of his work product is to be turned over to the DOJ, and then the DOJ can either release it, sit on it, or burn it - their call, and their's only. One of the conflicts is that Adam Schiff's committee is likely to subpoena the results, and there's already speculation about the DOJ refusing to let him have them, on the basis of Separation of Powers.

Why would the DOJ just sit on it? We can speculate, but a lot of people think that's what will happen.

I can't imagine mixed race being a problem, actually. The problem is with other beliefs, like America First. Most of America is still normal imo, and ardent Trump/America First people want to close borders, but drink/work with gays/leftists/Hispanics.

Hard to say how the "go tribal" thing would go, but the Us/Them is more about elite/normies, imo. The tribal we see now is largely astro-turfed, imo. The censorship on social media is a top down event, as is much of the current agitprop generated by FakeNews and DeepState.

From the My Sister Kate article --

Today, 60 percent of babies who escape abortion are born outside of marriage. On top of that they are miserably reared, thrown into child-care shortly after birth, with not only a lousy education but a miseducation in classrooms infiltrated by Mao, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Howard Zinn, Noam Chomsky, Karl Marx, and Saul Alinsky rather than readin', writin', and 'rithmatic, American history, and civics.

Perhaps a line of toddlerwear emblazoned with "I Escaped the Clutches of Big Abortion" might properly dramatize what's really taking place. An adjunct line with "My Daddy Lives With Us" might help, too.

Agreed. Genetics play a major role in everyone's health. There are reasons some people drink and smoke and live to 90 and others do not. Americans hate that genetics matter because that is something we can't control. We want to be able to make a difference. We want to be able to buy a self help book and make a change that matters. Pretty sure unless they fabricate something to make Trump look bad, we aren't going to see anything. DOJ will report that meuller found no collusion with Russia and that will be that.

And we most certainly are not going to see meuller's team internal communications. Again, unless there is something in them to make Trump look bad.

It doesn't matter. There never was any collusion which has been clear since the Nunes report last year. Before that really. But the NPCs on the left will never be satisfied. They are already trying out the new spin, Mueller didn't find any exculpatory evidence.

296 Mueller and/or hitman Weissmann have already done major damage, and who knows what they have passed on to other Dem/Mob friendly AGs in NY or wherever. Not to mention what goes to the DNC or DeepState operatives.

Consider the damage they did during the Enron thing, or when they took down Arthur Anderson on a whim. I wonder what criminal enterprises Weissmann and crew were covering up, when they decided to destroy Arthur Anderson. They withheld exculpatory evidence then, as they did to get the FOIA approval on "wiretapping Trump Tower" ... but nothing ever happens to them for their criminal actions.

301 Back to Iran for a minute. How could we have had a nuclear agreement with a country that we don't even have diplomatic relations with?

In other words, in diplomatic parlance, Iran doesn't really exist.

We use the Swiss and the Iranians use the Pakistanis for back channel communications, but nothing formal.

It's been that way ever since they took over our embassy and we took over theirs.

Iran still has an embassy here in Washington that the State Department maintains.

Iran has our embassy and has converted it into a tourist attraction to show how the Americans spied on the Iranians.

(That's rather rich because they accuse us of spying on the government of the Shah, who they accuse of being our ally. Is the contradiction lost on them?)

My point is this: Obama's nuclear deal was a nullity. Rather than attempt to normalize diplomatic relations with Iran, he engineered a fraudulent nuclear agreement as a means to fund the Islamic Revolution. We got nothing out of the deal. Iran is as much our enemy as they were 40 years ago when they committed an act of war against our embassy.

311 The California High-Speed Choo-Choo was supposed to go from LaLa Land to San Franpsycho, but going up the coast was never an option because it would have annoyed the rich people who live there. This was Not-In-My-Backyard (NIMBY) so much as Not-In-Barbara-Streisand's-Backyard (NIBSBY).

Instead, they planned it to run through the middle of the state where the poors live. And, truth be known, the train was always for the poors. The wealthy were never going to give up jet travel between SFO and LA.

Also, it was a Left-Wing vanity project from the get-go. The Left are basically Europeans in outlook; and they crave European things, like trains and hereditary aristocracies. There is no practical need for a high-speed train in California; if there were, private enterprise would have built it.

Same barred-from-welfare rules apply, and take whatever 40 acres and a mule cost somewhere out West in 1890 and give them 3% interest on that unpaid amount.

I'm betting taxpayers would get out from under their yoke of perpetual welfare slavery for around a single $2K-$5K one-time payment per person. Probably much less than that. Maybe not even one thousand dollars.

damn. Sorry for your troubles.

I had two root canals in two years and never had issues before. When I got the fistula near a previously done tooth, I was pretty despondent. I went to a new dentist, one of those highly rated yelp guys, a Millennial, and he is the one who preached gloom an doom. He said it would be way more expensive than a root canal blah blah. Luckily the endodontist he sent me to was great. He even gave me a break at pay time. The end result was some antibiotics and no dental work. I guess it was just some type of gum infection. I really can't say but that is what happened.

Long story short, a hidden abscess had developed inside the bone, and the fistula came out when the abscess finally ate a hole all the way through the bone. All that had to be cut out and replaced by bone grafts.

BUT for years I had problems breathing at night, always took antihistamines, thought I would need a CPAC - as soon as that hidden infection was finally rooted out, all of the sinus problems I'd had for years vanished overnight, and I've been breathing better than I have in years and years. as for antibiotics - in the year before the surgery, I took 6 rounds of antibiotics, differing types, hoping to get rid of it the easy way - none of them had any effect at all.

I am applying for PT jobs in order to help pay for the teen boys's tuition for college, As anyone know who has had to apply for retail jobs online you have to do a survey and they often ask you the same question 30 times basically relating to whether you will take or sell illegal drugs while on company time! (Sure I'm going to toke up during my lunch hour) or whether it's o.k. to steal from the company as long as it's a little amount (If I steal $5.00 a week that will pay for one month of my son's tutition after _____ weeks or if I steal $500.00 that will almost pay for a month tuition) No. I'm not going to steal anything or do druge, but do people seriously answer these questions in a negative light or they're just seeing if you're inconsistent?

Anyhoo, these as was one of my favorite statements so far "I have never gotten angry". You were supposed to say Agree or disagree or Agree or Disagree Strongly. I laughed. Did I mention that I may have a weird sense of humor. Spouse laughed too. It is good we are married to each other.

428 Another Alzheimer's study. The most coherent statement in the article was that it is an incredibly complex disease with possible multiple paths of causation. My opinion is, like cancer, it is not a single disease, rather it is a set of diseases with similar characteristics. The gingivitis bacterium path is apparently one more good reason to floss. I honestly can't recall the paterfamilias dental habits but I am doubtful on that scenario in his case.

Sometimes they throw 'cheat questions' in to gauge honesty. Like ''if you found $5.00 in a store parking lot and no one was around would you go back in the store and turn it in?''

They've performed this study in the past on hundreds of people and no one ever turns that amount of money in. So to claim you would, would be an answer that might get you tagged as dishonest.

431 Media outlets, both traditional and social, are awash with the news that researchers in the US have apparently cured cancer with the measles virus - for example, the Washington Post, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, Daily Telegraph and (with a much more measured headline) Reuters.

But while the story is dramatic - a 49-year old US woman's myeloma blood cancer seems to have completely disappeared following treatment - the actual science is a lot more complex than simply injecting her with an armful of measles. A number of the stories implied that the woman had been treated with an extremely high dose of the regular measles vaccine, but we need to be absolutely clear here:

This treatment did not involve a standard measles vaccine or virus - the researchers used a genetically modified virus, and there's no evidence that the regular measles or MMR jab can cure, prevent or cause any type of cancer.

435 Living with a parent with Alzheimer's naturally makes you wonder about the genetic component. I've perused multiple studies along those lines. Some of the earliest studies regarding Alzheimer's focused on the genetic aspect. I haven't found a definitive study in regards to that aspect. One thing that seems to be in agreement is that statistical analysis shows did the earlier in life that your family member is diagnosed with Alzheimer's the more likely it is that genetics is a key factor. Statistical analysis indicates that if your family member contracts the disease prior to 60 the likelihood that other family members Mets contract the disease is significantly higher.

Coming home we stopped at the Chicago connection. We saved money every trip. The only possible downside was that if you wanted to check your bag coming home it'd get checked to Milwaukee.

444 Hello

I am reaching out to you to see whether you would be interested in some of my freelance vape marketing and seo services?

I mostly specialise in backlink creation and lead generation for vape companies. I have worked with over 20 vape companies over the past year and have gotten them pretty good results.

All of my services are very cheap as I am freelancing on a full-time basis now.

You can view and purchase all of my services on https://www.fiverr.com/offroadvaper

I spend most of my time on Fiverr so please write to me there

Kind regards

Offroadvaper
