The Morning Report - 1/10/19

abolishlice.jpg

Good morning kids. Thursday and the continuation of the so-called "government shutdown" over the refusal of the Democrat-Left media complex to ensure our national sovereignty by securing our borders continues. The President's speech Tuesday night to the American was a grand slam while the response from Palsi and Schemer looked like a hostage video. On a tactical level, the President made a reasonable case and Democrat refusal to budge, despite as recently as 2006 fully on board with passing legislation for border walls and security to the tune of over $50 billion, 10 times the amount requested by this President, potentially clears the path for him to declare a national emergency and order the wall built via the Defense Department or some other discretionary funding mechanism. And speaking of which, see the rather infuriating link about the DoD letting $27 billion from the previous allocation (we no longer do Constitutionally mandated budgets) expire, but I digress. Along with the stammering and stuttering and obfuscations about why they are now completely against what they once (allegedly) supported, the only argument coming from the Dem-Left-Media Complex is that walls don't work and are a waste of money (that being risible, all things considered).

Cromulent point #1:

...But what evidence is there that walls - for millennia the most basic unit of construction and defense -are ineffective? A wall, or fence, runs along much of the border near population centers like San Diego and El Paso, and these barriers appear to work, to the extent that a partial wall can be said to work. A 440-mile wall separates Israel from the West Bank; it has dramatically reduced terrorism. Saudi Arabia has a wall on its border with Yemen and has begun construction of a wall on its Iraq border, too. Hungary, Russia, Lithuania, and Slovenia have built border walls. Belfast and Derry have "peace lines" (walls) separating Catholic from Protestant neighborhoods. The 1,800-mile, impermeable India-Pakistan border is visible at night from space because 150,000 floodlights light it. The United States maintains 25,000 soldiers in South Korea to preserve the integrity of the fence dividing the Korean peninsula... It's hard to escape the conclusion that critics oppose a wall not because it wouldn't work but because it would...

Cromulent point #2, which gets close to what this is all about:

...Many on the left seem clearly offended by the idea that nations have the right to determine who crosses their boundaries. Today's sanctuary-cities lobby grew out of the 1980s crusade of "solidarity" with Central American revolutionary movements; it echoes those earlier movements' conviction that northern migration from Latin America is righteous anti-colonialism, a revenge of history. It echoes, too, a sense, pervasive if often unstated, that Americans don't deserve the country that their ancestors - including African slaves - built...

Close, but still no cigar. It's a motivation, and a very powerful one, of many Dem-Leftists, some of whom are more open about it than others. And that's also why we are seeing the confrontation with the old guard Trotskyites with the up and coming Maoists, but there too I digress. But all of that, along with the homosexual, transgender, black, feminist, anti-Israel, anti-Judeo-Christian, anti-Western and all the other allegedly disenfranchised and put-upon minorities in this country are merely the cannon-fodder/useful idiots for the aforementioned to obtain absolute power and overthrow the nation as founded, and subjugate or liquidate all who oppose them. And they achieve that by importing millions and granting them instant citizenship, along with the upwards of 30 million illegal aliens already behind our lines and making them instant Democrat voters and eager defenders and dependents of the Welfare State. That is what all of this is all about. And if that were to happen, it would be lights out America. And what the Leftists can't steal, the Islamists will decapitate/de-clitorate.

Along with the potential next moves of the President and the GOP leadership vis a vis executive action or some sort of a deal (and that frightens me [sorry, Don Surber]), everyone's favorite bananas chiquita Alexandria Ocasio-TacoRosado voted to fund ICE while blasting it as the second coming of the Waffen SS, and then this champion of the poor claimed her personal chef had to flee back to Mexico. Ol' Yeller utterly napalmed the Dems over MS-13, Gavin Nuisance doubles down on sedition and yet demands double the money from the government he is in open revolt against, and lastly the brother of a victim of one of Nancy Palsi's spark-of-humanity brigades is left with nothing but memories. Hey, omelettes and eggs on the road to utopia.

On to politics where Jake Tapper the fake fapper commits a random act of journalism on Kamala-Toe, leaving her flustered and stammering, a tranny billionaire will no longer fund GOP candidates because he's nuts or lacking thereof, Nevada's new Dem governor hires a guy who protected perverts to lead the sexual harassment task force, Dems say they won't talk about not refusing their paychecks during the shutdown because, distractions, and DNC chair Tom Perez won't say why the 180 swing on border security for the party.

Elsewhere, the President holds all the cards with the shutdown (the more it lasts, the more America sees that they really can survive without a government up their ass 24/7/365), Tom Styrene won't be running in 2020 but wants to reverse the Reagan legacy (how about giving up all the money you made since 1981?), an Obama hack-in-black runs interference for election-thief Brenda Snipes, Rabbi Fischer with sound advice for Cocaine Mitch, Rancida T-Labia defends her right as a woman to be crude, foul and uncouth (is there a Koranic proscription on this? Moron imams, please weigh in), and the "most dangerous of morons" is not someone from the Horde. Guess who?

First Amendment, Fake News Fakery: unindicted terrorist front group CAIR gets Laura Loomer booted from Twitter, Mollie Hemingway on the media's epic failure vis a vis the President's speech, fired Google exec James Damore confirms his company's collusion with our biggest enemy, the NY Times is forced to issue a retraction over the Russia collusion/Manafort story (see the link in the next section on the dossier two years on), and the exposure of Conservatism, Inc.

On the international scene, Iran takes an American hostage for the first time in the Trump era, the Euro-Peons are all harrumphing over the perceived demotion of their ambassador here, and Turk Turdogon snubs John Bolton.

Taqqiya Sunrise Dept.: A Saudi flag sculpture, the one with the Koranic Satanic verse on it somehow gets green-lit to be displayed at the World Trade Center, French prisons incubate terror and sodomy but mostly terror (and sodomy), and this Rancida T-Labia is a real piece of work, but you knew that.

Domestically, a Marine Corps special ops guy petitions for reinstatement after the Navy admits he was railroaded, no money for a wall but plenty for homo porn films to be screened in Mumbai, Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Sticky Wicket (or Rectum, I Nearly Killed Him), several links highlighting the dangerously ignorant Ocasio-TacoRosado, a look back on Starbucks' own "open borders" disaster, Wisconsin's economic miracle was fun while it lasted, and raising the minimum wage is great up until employers cut all those kind of jobs.

Healthcare: the new Dem House is already ramping up the Medicare for All push, DeBolshevik's single payer for NYC is complete political hackery and bad medicine, and SCOTUS may allow infanticide in the womb if the viable tissue mass is retarded or female. And I thought masculinity was toxic (sarc).

Feminazi News: Ford employee dares to go against company line on transgender insanity and gets fired for his troubles (i.e. first amendment rights), the worst country in the world for women gets to chair the UN committee on women. Oh, Rancida T-Labia? Pick up the white courtesy shoe and eat it.

From hither and yon, this Manning freak needs to have a conversation with a set of brass knuckles, a look at Minneapolis' May Day parade madness, and a look at the Millenials as the new lost generation.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

1 Every upcoming media challenge to the administration about a poor, struggling, federal worker's family should be met with another unique account of an American family who has been victimized by illegal immigration. Sarah Huckabee Sanders needs to have a bunch of these memorized. Just start with children who've been killed by gangs or raped by illegals and that should give the White House enough winning cards to last for weeks. Then move on to families who've lost moms and dads to illegals who were driving drunk. The media won't want to fact check those rebuttals.

The administration should make the case -- loudly -- that the government does not exist to feed federal workers: It exists to protect Americans. And the time to make that case is everytime someone asks about federal paychecks. That's the time you remind the media about another American family that doesn't get some breadwinner's check anymore because of illegal immigration. Or some American child who will never even grow up to earn paychecks because of illegal immigration.

It's a Power Line interview with Chris DeMuth. He's an avowed neocon, and one of the original ones. The two things which most stand out are

a. The way the term "neocon" shifted from skepticism about the Great Society to interventionism, and

b. The last part, where he makes a neoconservative case for Trump. You read that right.

32 Medicare for all

NOT
Medicaid
VA
Obamacare
CHIP

But Medicare! I sure there are 5 or 6 more US healthcare programs. But the Progressive choose just one. The dirty little secret is that for this to work it would take the following:
1) >$3 Trillion in taxes
2) Systematic destruction of private and employer based insurance
3) Systematic destruction of privately owned hospitals and clinics
4) Conscription of all licensed medical providers
and finally
5) Outlawing of private funds being used to compensate for medical services both payment and receipt

37 "it echoes those earlier movements' conviction that northern migration from Latin America is righteous anti-colonialism, a revenge of history. "
______________

What utter bullshit. Colonial Americans never "colonized" Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, etc. So the idea that natives of those lands get to come to the U.S. now as some kind of "revenge" colonization is patently absurd and historically illiterate.

As for Mexico, there were Americans in all the territories that Mexico claimed as its own, and there was a fight and an eventual settlement (the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo) that the Mexican government agreed to (and received millions of dollars from). The fact that current-day Mexicans don't like the deal their government made means squat. We fought, we won, and we were far more than generous to the Mexicans than we needed to be. The GH territories became ours by might, by right, by payment, and by law. Mexico has zero claim to them now.

So did the people of Wisconsin just get tired of Winning, or is voting Democrat similar to substance abuse and addiction? A person is intoxicated, hits rock bottom, gets help, then once back on their feet returns to the vices that got them into trouble in the first place.

I'm trying to understand this.

Or is it simply that the Teaachers Unions managed to get the vote fraud working their way? It seems that Wisconsin's primary terror group is the Education Cartel.

Whichever way our wall crisis turns out (built or not), Mexico will build its own wall on its southern border. If we build a wall, they don't want to end up as a permanent waiting room for the "migrants". Many will choose to stay in Mexico.

If we don't build a wall, more and more caravans and other large migrant movements will come to our border, and the US will take it out on Mexico for not stopping them, possibly by periodic border closings. Either way, illegal immigration is now their problem as well as ours.

169 That last link about the Millennials and the Lost Generation is irksome. I saw a lot of the same arguments over the weekend (I was at a conference/seminar) about how Millennials had "experienced more economic and political turmoil than Boomers or Gen X". All the Boomers and Gen Xers in the room immediately picked that one apart. One item I used to rebut the statement was asking the Millennials in the room if they knew the last digit of their license plate. Not a one of them did, of course...and they were shocked to learn that there was a time when that determined what day you were allowed to buy gas.

188 60 About that DOD funds "expiration" and not being able to redirect it to DHS and the wall - we call it "different color of money." Money appropriated for specific things cannot be redirected unless Congress specifically allows it.

That's also a good thing - I can't tell you how much office equipment and frankly frivolous shit I had to buy because we had "use it or lose it" money to spend right the fuck now when I was in the Navy.

Posted by: Jeff Weimer
-------------
Exactly. I couldn't tell you how many times we made a run on a pallet of paper or ink cartridges, upgrade the furniture in the conference room, one extra of every fast moving repair part we had in stock, or extra pieces to the mobile command center that we could use but didn't need all for the sake of spending every single penny so that we would get at least that same amount (if not more) in future years.

Monies of different colors are allocated by congress to be spent in specific areas for specific things and to do otherwise is against the law unless you get congress to re-allocate it for different uses.

Easy example is monies allocated for base property purchases (think desk, chairs, storage lockers, etc.) can not be used to purchase repair parts (think spark plugs, tires, nuts, bolts, firing pins, etc.). Simply as that.

195 Regarding the article by Greenfield about the homeless problem in Maine -

I live 20 minutes outside Portland and I've always said that it strives to become the San Francisco of the east coast. Strimling (the moonbat mayor) allowed immigrants (illegal and legal) to vote in city elections.

The past two elections there have been referendums to raise income taxes by as much as 3%. Only by the grace of my savior, Paul LePage, have we averted disaster.

Now that Republicans are out of power in every branch of Maine government, the place is poised to circle the drain. LePage took a state that was nearly bankrupt and left it with a huge "rainy day fund". I'm guessing within two years of unchecked moonbat control - that rainy day fund will be gone - and Maine will be back on the verge of bankruptcy once again. No doubt in part thanks to the influx of refugees that the democrats insist on bringing to our state that already has more than enough poor people.

236 I had a customer in last night bitching about going without a check for a couple of weeks during the shutdown.

It was all I could do to stay my tongue about what I went through when the business I worked at for 12 years burned down and I had to find a new job to make ends meet and that this is the reality that nearly every private sector worker faces. Layoffs, business closures....I wanted to tell him "Welcome to the party, pal. By the way, they hold your paycheck out of my paycheck."

Full disclosure: I stopped listening shortly after the 2016 election. I love the guy but with him and Rush 6 hours a day plus this was just too much. So something had to give.

That said, he is probably right that Mueller and the Left are thick as thieves since he is part of the Deep State all his life. But what does he have to prove anything? He will have to actually manufacture a crime to charge Trump. And that will mean full on war with this President.

250 "Conservatism, Inc." Conserves Only Itself

I have one bone to pick with this article. I'm no big fan of Shapiro, but to equate him to Kristol is too much. Lil Benji has not, that I've seen, jettisoned his beliefs in a lather against Trump; Kristol has to a degree matched by few others. Shapiro at least remains where he was pre-Trump. And there's plenty to attack there.

Judy has inoperable lung cancer but refuses to undergo chemo and radiation because her condition is fragile and she wouldn't survive the treatments , She wants to enjoy quality of life before her cancer runs its course. She is having some pain and discomfort but doesn't want to take pain medication because she doesn't want her mind clouded at the end of her life,Troyriser asked that prayers be said to "ease her passing" .

She sounds like a dear woman who has a caring son. I have to say that I feel very privileged to receive the prayers requests because people in such difficulty still write such lovely things about those they love-and I often get choked up by them. So prayers for Judy and her family are appreciated. I will also put this on the prayer list for next Wednesday.

Thanks.

So did drug and human trafficking actually become their main business at some point, instead of using it for infiltration and funding? Power is a helluva drug ... especially when combined with real drugs.

Remember about a year ago when it came out that Obama had shut down Project Casandra, the joint investigation headed by the DEA into Hezboallah drug running and money laundering around the world? Another fun fact is that the person at the DOH overseeing that investigation was one Bruce Ohr.

He was removed last January after he was demoted and it was being run by the infamous Rod Rosenstein.

There has been a slew of indictments since then and the investigation was expanded to include Mexican cartels and even MS-13. Trumps focus on the southern border isn't just about illegal immigration and there is a reason Vicente Fox has been so unhinged when he has criticized Trump.

The media sucks and they often don't report the real news or when they do they spin and slant it so badly it's hard to know who is a good guy and who is a bad guy. They do this intentionally.

He was within 1 electoral vote in 2016 and called the 2018 election exactly. I think he has a pretty accurate handle on how things are playing with the electorate.

First off, every last one of those 'workers', on duty or not, will get full back pay once this shutdown is over. It's Tradition, and it has NEVER been violated. If you notice, even Trump hasn't threatened that scenario.

Second, a number of banks and credit unions are offering Bridge loans to affected gubmint workers; kind like payday loans (ooooh, ebel payday loans) at low interest rates. Hey gubmint workers -- You do know that you are supposed to have 6 months of expenses saved up for hard times, no?

Posted by: Eeyore at January 10, 2019 09:19 AM (VaN/j)

It should be noted that genders are inherently linguistic in nature, and have as their purpose the description of people or objects according to their apparent biological sex or lack thereof.

As there are only two biological sexes, and that is an established scientific rule, and only one set of pronouns is needed for the sexless condition of objects, there is no reason to have any more than 3 genders. He, She, and It. That's all.

At no point is sexual identity even a part of this, and it is only the popular misuse of gender as a polite euphemism for sex that has muddied the waters enough for this to slide by.

It's time to stand firm on this. That's not how this works, and a person's rebellion against traditional sex-based social roles does not entitle them to new pronouns.

You don't even have to insist on the old rules; you can Alinsky them with their new rules that:

"Biological sex is separate from gender identity"

What they have done is insisted the above and then proceeded to replace all places where biological sex is referenced with gender identity.
No, SJWers, you've just insisted they are separate. And we insist that on all forms, bathrooms, groups/organizations, etc. we use the agreed-upon standard: BIOLOGICAL SEX.

338 Speaking of hoes, back in the 50's and 60's when I ran hoes, everybody made the same money. Everybody that went into that field at daylight and came out at the end of the day, leaving no grass or weeds, and whoever the boss (my old GrandPappy) had in his little book got paid cash. Hell there was even some real (pre-1964) silver halves, quarters, and dimes in our pockets. And get this, everybody, black, white, or in-between got paid the same. Same as for picking cotton by the pound, paid for performance. Honest labor, honest money. Pride in accomplishment. An unknown commodity today.

Yep. Lanny Davis seemed like such a strange choice until you thought about it for a minute, then.....hmmmm.

For generations, people have said that all politicians are corrupt, and this is no doubt true for the majority of them. However, I really believe that the level of corruption and malfeasance that we are witnessing now is without precedent. I honestly do not know if it can be rooted out or if the country as founded can survive it.

342 I know this will get lost in the shuffle here, but.

"Pentegon lets $27B in funds expire".

For the Fed government, "expired" funds are money that was appropriated **5** years ago, and never allocated to be spent on something (signed a contractor for supplies/construction/etc). So this money was in the FY13 budget (Obama's), and never allocated to be spent in the 5 years since then.

So this money actually goes back to the treasury. The funds aren't 'wasted", just sent back to the Fed. checking account. I guess paying down the national deficit by $27B.

(spoken as Fed. worker)
