If Trump (and to a lesser degree Obama) taught us anything, it should be that you shouldn't count out someone who is loud, charismatic and popular. I suspect AOC is a dull-normal whose degree has more to do with the tightness of her throat than the capacity of her brain case, but she is young, pretty, popular and a communist who would be a disaster in serious office. We write her off at our own peril, I think.

An annulment is simply a declaration that a purported marriage actually never existed in the first place. It's not a divorce (as that presupposes a valid marriage to dissolve).

The freshman who most resembles AOC as a political commodity is probably Dan Crenshaw, the one-eyed Republican Navy SEAL from Texas. Their politics couldn't be more different, but their appeals --- normal, concerned, citizens who had to beat party political machines to get to the House --- are pretty similar.
"Character" = being fresh and genuine?
Trump meets those criteria, at least being fresh to politics. And for him, it's twitter that humanizes him, instead of video chats.

It was the major chunk of Bell Labs that got assigned to the parent AT&T after the breakup (the other part of Bell Labs, focused more on development than research, became an entity called BellCore and was equally owned by all the baby bells). It wasn't bogus. It was wrecked by Carly and lots of shady vendor financing schemes during the first tech bubble (a lot like Nortel was).
Could a research firm like that exist without AT&T and preferential purchasing by the regional divisions of AT&T? Who knows. But Fiorina really fucked it up.
