Reevaluating: Maybe "WOMP WOMP" isn't the right reaction. It seems prosecutors are looking to squeeze Cohen by threatening him with "substantial" jail time despite cooperation; they're going after him like gangbusters for "cooperation," or maybe just playing along with their narrative.

I've been watching an interesting TV series made in the Netherlands in which actors carefully recreate various serious crimes - murder, attempted murde,r kidnapping, rape, mass-shootings, etc. -- along with what led up to them. And at the end of each show, text-over on the screen reveals what the conviction and sentencing was for each case.

Why is this relevant? Because, as the show reveals, the sentencing in Holland (and most of the rest of Europe is shockingly (and I mean SHOCKINGLY) light. Typical shows conclude,

"Jan was convicted on second-degree homicide, kidnapping, and sexual assult. He was sentenced to three years' imprisonment."

or

"Petr was convicted of five counts of attempted murder, three counts of gross bodily harm, and one count of terrorism. He was deemed incompetent to stand trial because he suffers from ADHD, sent to hospital for psychological evaluation, and released after 9 months."

He was originally sentenced to five (GASP!) years, but then that got reversed on appeal and he ultimately was sentenced to just 18 months in a plush rehab center because he has (ta-da!) PTSD. He was "cured" after 11 months, let out, free as a bird.

If rhey have been working with Mueller's office as moles for President Trump- and Mueller's double cross on their plea agreements sure points that way- that is the end. Mueller will be very lucky to escape charges of his own, even before Uranium One.

I am less optimistic in that the damage is done- with the House in Democratic control, the President will have to do far more to achieve total victory. He may have missed his chance. But- he has more than earned leeway from people who do not see the big picture. I trust him, though it is getting harder these days.

But I heard a radio interview last week with Joe DeGinova that hinted Trump has come to the realization that he needs an AG asap and that it would be someone who would strike fear into the jackasses at FBI.. that he was coming to clean house. DeGinova hinted that the guy he had heard about was someone that already had been an AG... and now we learn its Barr.

And they investigate collussion with no evidence any votes were changed or any money changed hands... and they come up with process charges on Cohen over a deal that never happened and was public knowledge before the campaign.
