The Morning Report - 12/06/18

melyak.jpg

Good morning kids. Thursday and let's start off with the usual maddening meshugas that the Democrat-Leftist propagandists will ignore, spin or embargo. First up, a longtime key advisor to leading Democrat 2020 contender Kamala "Toe" Harris, who worked for her in her capacity as California AG, has resigned over a sexual harassment lawsuit that his boss claims she knew nothing about. Uh huh. Next up, recently elected Democrat Joo-hater (pardon the redundancy) Rashida Tlaib (can I buy a vowel?) has some shady dealings in her campaign finances with Nazi collaborator George Soros (who if you call him that is anti-semitic, or something) and to put the, er, "cherry" on top, renowned child abuser and catamite-procurer to the political elite Jeffrey Epstein has settled a civil suit to avoid much pain and embarrassment... mostly to Bill and Hillary Clinton.

And speaking of bitter, shambling, drunken, low-class, delusional embarrassments, Hillary Clinton displayed the world famous grace and charm that she is known for by making a puerile, childish scene at the funeral of President George H.W. Bush by refusing to shake hands with or even acknowledge the current First Lady, Melania Trump. The contrast between Melania and that barely bipedal turd-in-a-girdle by every metric of character, charm and of course beauty could not be more stark. Meh. Melania dodged a bullet; I wouldn't shake hands with Hillary. Not where that hand has been.

In other borderline insanity, as pregnant invaders spawn on our soil in order to claim their right to citizenship and our money, which by evil Yanqui-capitalist Joo-trickery shapeshifted its way into our pockets, Bob Goodlatte tells us something we already don't know about the GOP-e leadership, a North Carolina county sheriff should be arrested and thrown in jail for obstruction of justice and/or some other high crime, the Border Patrol rounds up 124 more border jumping miscreants, and a couple of thoughtful links on the nature of illegal immigration and possible solutions.

In the Coup and Mueller Kangaroo Court, the recommendation for time served for Michael Flynn is pissing off the "resistance," mass condemnation for the persecution of the Clinton Foundation whistleblower along with a 400-person fuck you from ex-DoJ Deep Staters protesting Matthew Whitaker as acting AG, Levin blasts the latest ambulance-chasing suit against Trump and Jerome Corsi takes on Mueller.

On the political scene, to counter the theft of its governor and senator races, Wisconsin's GOP legislature has passed regulations that check the Democrat governor and AG, Dondi Rubio takes a swipe at Chubby Jello-Brains, Tom Styrene is making more "I'm running" noises while Deval Patrick is out, the good Roger Simon on the high stakes duel between OrangeManBad and Mandarin Xi, and two essays relating to how Obama destroyed whatever iota of civility there might have been in political discourse and fomented the "otherization" of anything and anyone not Leftist.

In First Amendment and Fake News fakery, Buzzfeed lies about the nature of the French riots, the pseudo-Jewish rag The Forward lies about black attacks on Brooklyn Jews, the Washington Post disingenuously relents on the "believe all women" line only long enough to use it as an excuse to attack a Republican, UC Berkeley takes a hit in the bursar's office for censoring conservative students and Michelle Malkin on Big Brother Tech's nouveau-sharia.

Over at the foreign desk, while Xi and Trump signaled a deal to curb fentanyl abuse as well as that on-again off-again trade truce, which is on - again - the US is seeking to extradite the CFO of Chi-Com company Huawei over its violation of Iran sanctions, the US Navy sailed through disputed waters near Russia in the Pacific as a response to the latter's vulgar boatmen schtick in the Crimea, the UN Blue Beret Peacekeepers Child-Rapers are too busy child-raping to notice Hezbollah terror tunnels, Canada's open border policy, Theresa May's latest Brexit moves are seemingly DOA, and Conrad Black on the west needing to find its cojones again.

Domestically, Michigan goes for the cannabis, Senate GOP not fond of the new crime bill, a FedEx driver is off the hook for delivering a deathblow, Bill De Bolshevik hates free enterprise, Bush 41 is dead but the "voodoo economics" canard is eternal, Education Secretary DeVos strikes a deal with the Swiss, Joo-hating profs going rogue to support BDS despite school policies, Virginia schools want to keep Jesus out of Christmas, and another good piece by Rabbi Dov Fischer in an educational vein. Also, a good Federalist piece on climate change alarmism and Daniel Greenfield rounds out the category on the anthem kneeling and wife beating.

From hither and yon, deprogramming millennials, no sooner than Kevin Hart is tapped as Oscar host is he blasted from the Left, Philadelphia sez "Kermit Gosnell? Never heard of him," more of the cultural revolution monument removal blues, and lastly, happy birthday to the 21st amendment, repealing Prohibition. Meh, next time, Democrat-Soviet prohibit you!

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

85 In the words of a certain comedian, not gonna comment on today's news. Wouldn't be prudent.

It's not her birthday, but here's Clarine Seymour -

https://tinyurl.com/y9ny9fcm

She was born in Brooklyn in 1898, but when her father's ribbon business failed, the family moved to New Rochelle, where she signed on to the Thanhouser studio as an extra to bring some money into the household.

https://tinyurl.com/y9czzqdr

She was never a huge name, but made a reputation for herself as a good comedienne, appearing in several series and shorts, including the earliest surviving Stan Laurel comedy, 1918s Just Rambling Along (she is the pretty girl at 46 seconds in):

https://tinyurl.com/y7xzqpvg

She came to the notice of DW Griffith, who cast her in four films, none of which were particularly successful (Griffith was at this time at a low patch in his career), but all of which garnered her critical and public notice.

https://tinyurl.com/ybqzor7a

In 1920 Griffith gave Seymour her best part yet, in his melodramatic masterpiece Way Down East. Sadly, during the filming she came down with what was described at the time as "intestinal strangulation" - what we'd call a bowel obstruction - and in those pre-penicillin days, her lifespan could be measured in days. An emergency operation didn't help and she died of pneumonia on April 25th of that year.

Much too optimistic.

The current GOP and DNC crop represents perfectly the majority of Americans. On one hand - a group driven insane by rage although they can't quite explain why.

And on the other - a group too meak to stop them, but dead set against anyone else who dares to try. Like the wife of a drunk that takes it all out on the kids. Obsessed with lining up the deck chairs on the Titanic - and despising anyone that mentions all that annoying water in the boat.

The relationship between those two groups is almost symbiotic.

147 On the Virginia school thing -

I got into a row once with the elementary school my kids attended over something like that. The Principal sent home a newsletter saying something about discouraging religious focus on the "winter holiday season" because of the great diversity in our schools.

I went to the school the next day and talked to her directly, asking why the school had a Diwali festival and a Kwanzaa-themed lunch that my non-Hindu white-as-snow kids were expected to participate in, yet kids on the other side of the aisle were given a pass on a holiday that is by definition religious in nature. She hemmed and hawed for a bit, tried to trot out the "we're just trying to expose the kids to different cultures" (to which I said "why not expose the Hindu kids to Christmas then...?") and so on. At the end, the school very quietly backed off. I think there were quite a few parents in my area who complained, so it wasn't just me.

But yeah. Push back, in person if necessary. Bullies don't like to be confronted, even intellectual bullies.

For six months, staggered out over each business day of each month, have every single Entitlement Recipient physically show up to a claim center, bringing documentation that is suitable for a I9 Form, plus copies of their utilities bills and grocery receipts.

This will remove much of the outright fraud that constitutes a huge slice of the Entitlement pie. The dead, the foreigner/scammer, the imaginary and the lottery winners who still make claims against the treasury will be culled - or imprisoned for fraud.

170 Don Lemon Appears to Use Sexual Slur, Immediately Claims He Doesn't Know What It Means (a lemon is just a small, bitter fruit - jjs)

Includes this:

The term "chickenhead" is a slang derogatory term that is used to describe someone who likes performing oral sex on a man and is considered to be especially degrading toward women.

1. I'd never heard the term before. Must be relatively new.

2. Why is it supposed to be demeaning toward women? It's guys (like Lemon?) who are normally derided for this. If anyone is supposed to like doing it, it's women.

Eventually a corrupt official will win that race too.

The problem is a fundamental imbalance of power - and a process that can never be 100% legit. There's no way for the Citizen to track the process. Your vote could be thrown away - and you'd never know unless a political appointee told you.

These Elections are a sham. Most people are just too afraid to admit it.

I just need the right words to speak and give him some hope, although I have no control over his circumstances. Anyway, I love him as a brother in Christ and he's part of my flock and I have scripture to share with him (He asked for that) but still, he's a man and doesn't like to cry and I have a feeling this will be hard for him. Nope, no grandfather clause.

Got to turn in the mags.

Either that or they never leave your house or they never get used.

But just possessing them is a risk even if you never use them.

NJ has zero tolerance for otherwise law abiding gun owners getting caught up in NJ's bullshit gun control laws.

The irony is if you are a hardened criminal and use a firearm in the commission of a crime they usually either drop gun charges or plea them down so that they are nothing.

For instance if you commit a robbery with a gun in NJ you should get 25 min sentence and 10 years for the robbery so you would be looking at 35 years, very few criminals in NJ get the max, all of that shit will be reduced to 7-10 years.

On the other hand, a guy who had a functional single shot replica in his glove compartment and told the police officer who stopped him to give him a speeding ticket was looking at 25 years, the prosecutor was not going to plead him down so Christie had to pardon him.

There are many stories like this in NJ.

Bottom line is Democrats are fascists.

The military is something like 14% of total federal spending.
Social security, Medicare, and various welfare are about 25% EACH.So, at least 75% of federal spending consists of transfer payments from one group to another.
I'm not sure what the precise numbers are right now, but I looked it up on usgovernmentspending.com, or something like that, a couple years ago.

This article is kind of hinky. "The State Department during the Obama and now the Trump administration has tried to pursue democratic reforms in Burma, formally referred to as Myanmar."

It's the other way around. It's now Myanmar, formerly know as Burma.

This is also a bullshit issue. After hearing story after story about how Muslims in Europe have the right to rape, grope, defecate in swimming pools, assault Jews and get NO punishment for it, it's kind of bracing to hear about a country like Myanmar that's had to put up with Islamic terrorism and eventually decided "Ok, that's it. We're going to kill these motherfuckers or drive them into Bangladesh, where they can coexist with their fellow Muslims." The Rohingya committed acts of terrorism that provoked the treatment they've gotten. They deserve absolutely no sympathy. Dondi and the author of this article are misguided.

Health Care - 28%
Pensions - 25%
Defense - 22%
Welfare - 8%
Interest - 8%
Education - 3%

The Rest - 6%

Defense is higher since the last time I

This is only Federal spending, there is

They don't enforce laws against those who grease their palms. I suspect the Clinton Foundation is only the tip of the iceberg and that thousands of pols and bureaucrats are raking it in. Either that or they favor anarchy, but as they are looking willing to prosecute Americans, they are favoring their plutocracy.

Not trying to start an argument here, but (in theory) isn't the Constitution a contract that prohibits actions against the people at the Federal Government level.

Thus, the 2A says Feds can't infringe on a citizen's right to be armed, while the 10A says all other rights are given to the people or the states. Hence NJ can be as insane re the 2A as it wishes if it is supported by the people of that state! And apparently NJ finds Draconian gun laws acceptable.

Feds should intervene to maintain liberty, not to enforce leftist dogma (Roe v Wade, Gay Marriage, notable cases). Gun rights and free speech (on campus) should countervail (via SCOTUS) against local fascists ...

then we get into free speech on social media (racketeering monopolies ... all conspire against conservatives and against alternatives like PayPal against Gab)

He didn't. But it's a slam on those doing the judging.

And boy, did they ever judge.

380 "except I don't believeKavanaughhadanythingtobe ashamedof"

Oh, I don't believe that he did either.

But her feel good post is not about the actions of the one, but the judgement by the other.

So even if they are convinced in their little pea-sized brains that he actually did what the accusations were, it is incumbent upon them to not judge him by his presumed by them, past.

381 2/3 of non-citizens get Medicaid, food stamps, EITC, and section 8 housing allowances. 70 percent of non-citizens in California are on the dole.

___

I think those statistics talk about households, cuz usually when stats about welfare come out it's based on household. So 70% of households on welfare is because 70% of households have US born children who qualify for welfare.

And not every non-citizen is illegal either. Legal immigrants aren't eligible for welfare for 5 years. In year 6....all systems go.

382 rick, the whole episode was shameful. If this can happen to a good man, I have to evaluate everyfknaccusation as if it's my son, or brother.

385 381: Illegals get benefits right out of the gate. And non citizens who are here legally do too. The restrictions are a lie, to keep the bill paying rubes from bitching too much. Sorry, it is all a farce. Illegal immigrants are too precious to be deported and no one will let them go hungry and without care. If NGOs offer some of the support, be advised they are doing it with federal grant money. We are paying for all of it.

388 On the flip side, why would anyone pass a governing document that could so easily be nullified on teh state or lower level? Incorporation is ultimately a necessary principle if you're going to have Constitutional protections that actually mean anything.

Because they were a collection of States trying to do the bare minimum for mutual defense and trade. I don't think any Virginian much gave a damn about what went on in New York - and the feeling was mutual.

And the Bill of Rights was not universally popular. Some argued that it would embolden the Fed to assume powers not granted. I think this group was called "H8ters". Or maybe Trolls.
