NeverTrumpers Bitterly Clinton the Russian Collusion Dossier Some of Them Helped Pay For

They're not like you rubes. They believe fervently in only the finest of evidence-free partisan conspiracy theories, unlike you shabby lot, buying into discount knockoff factory-second partisan conspiracy theories.

The NeverTrumpers' work to push the partisan oppo file first collected up by Sidney Blumenthal and Cody Shearer has not gone unnoticed by the only people whose good favor matter to the NeverTrumpers: their leftwing media colleagues'.

NeverTrumpers are receiving accolades from liberal journalists for joining with the Russia conspiracy theory. CNN's Ryan Lizza said he hopes people remember Hayes' bravery for pieces such as the one above.

Progressive journalist Jonathan Alter says that Hayes' article shows "character & integrity."

Curiously, this Strange New Respect from left-wing media activists doesn’t cite fidelity to fact as the reason for the plaudits. Instead, the praise is heaped entirely for the bravery and courage of…agreeing with Democrats and the media that Trump is gross and shouldn’t be president.

While the attaboys from the likes of Lizza and Alter might appear more akin to eulogies given the purely partisan motivations behind them, they’re nonetheless illustrative, because they highlight the legacy media standard at play in 2018: publishing false news in pursuit of impeachment is no vice, and journalism in pursuit of facts is no virtue.

There's a split in perception of reality, and its being reinforced by bubbles of information and silicon valley censorship.

When a story like this happens, and a lie is promoted, then the left yells victory and clings to it. The correction is issued, but almost nobody in the leftist bubble ever sees it, while the right gets the correction.

Then when the two meet up, its like trains running on parallel tracks: they can't ever connect. They're both speaking the same language, they're both from the same culture -- more or less -- but are working from completely separate and different data pools.

The left is 100% SURE that there's no voter fraud, that HIllary Clinton was totally exonerated of wrongdoing, that Benghazi is just a political stunt by the GOP in congress, and that Trump was guilty of colluding with Russians to "hack the election"

They haven't seen anything to contradict that, because they don't read any sources which do, would reject them even if they did read because BadThink Racist Nazi propaganda, and because they're being shielded from anything that challenges their worldview by social media commissars.

Trump is certainly NOT a committed ideology guy, but he has quite remarkably revealed who is really on our side and who is not, just by having his heart in the right place.

100 I think something got borked in the language center of the Left.

You can do business in Russia without being influenced or under the control of Russia. This is not a difficult proposition. So yeah, let Trump or Trump Jr build ten casinos in Russia. As long as there's no policy quid pro quo, I DON'T care.

Why on earth would they think otherwise? The only people convicted have been Trunp supporters, and federal law enforcement is overwhelmingly on board with prosecuting Trump and indemnifying the Clintons. To the point they launch Stasi raids against whistleblowers.

It's the main reason I get irritated with the "IG report is devastating" and "Huber is coming" crowd. Even conceding that they have a strong case against the Clintons, it's been months and there has been little public progress. Mueller's progress would br laughed out of an honest court, but it's pretty clear America has plenty of dishonorable judges. Maybe Huber will announce a new whistleblower today: maybe not. The problem is that, thanks to terrible media presence and outright suppression over the Internet, about half the population seriously believes that Russia "delivered" a federal election to the opposition. And that's already cost Republicans the House.

You can't just vote your way out of this, when society itself is being torn down.

My "little" cousin's unborn baby boy (due in March) was just diagnosed with a serious heart condition that causes severe deformation of the left side of the heart (HLHS). Little guy is going to need heart surgery almost immediately after birth and afterwards, and my cousin and her husband are a long way from the nearest hospital that can do that kind of surgery. 175 What is increasingly clear is that the reason the commie / demonrat agenda has moved so far and so fast is that their nominal "opposition" is in fact a seditious pack of fifth columnists.
Mainstream republicans are actually the long-lost "moderate" wing of the demonrat party, and have been for a long time.

Time.
We have very little left, if any.
The last two years were wasted; the next two will be, unless PDT starts to act like this is a real war, not a polite disagreement.

176 The left has been moving to make it so we can't vote our way out of this for 20 years to so. If you want a sobering moment consider that in the late 90s the left somehow was able to discover that Newt G was having an affair.

WHY HELLO FBI FILES THAT WERE STOLEN BY BILL CLINTON

And then they also discovered that Newt's chosen successor was also having an affair...somehow...

Which led to....Dennis Hastert becoming the most powerful Republican in Washington. Interestingly he achieved....nothing of note. Also of note he was a scumbag with a dark, dark secret as we now know.

Does anyone seriously think the Dems didn't know at the time? And that they didn't use that information?

By definition.

Russia has a zero-sum worldview. They think anything that hurts the US (or Europe) is good for them. They have always acted in that way, since the tsars.

We have russia to thank for all the maxist propaganda and support of leftest ideas in the West since WWII. We have Russia to thank for the subversion of India and the arming of China. (China also has a zero-sum worldview)

I am beginning to suspect that all overseas adoptions have now become legitimized baby selling.

Maybe an unpopular opinion.

I think the days of legitimate, say, Romanian babies abandoned in Ceauscescu's abottoirs is over, and that the backend of overseas adoptions is probably a new horror show all it's own.

I've now personally met two families who say that their adopted child was actually abducted by the family and the police had to get involved and return the child to the orphanage so the American family could come afopt and take them to the US.

They tell these stories with a note of shock that the child's relatives would act this way, and the whole time I'm thinking holy crap that kid had relatives still who were willing to risk jail to try to keep them and what the hell is actually going on?

Attacking non-globalists is a growth industry. They are going to go after Trump, his family, and us with everything they've got. It doesn't matter if Trump

-Obama can tell Medvedev (IIRC?) that he will have more flexibility to screw our allies the Poles on missile defense after the election on a hot mike- crickets.

Nazi Collaborators

Posted by: Soothsayer at December 03, 2018 01:58 PM (/XLap)

255 It seems pretty simple to me. The NeverTrumpers are simply the current cabal in the GOP that wants to lose with honor, allow the Democrats to continue to run the country, and keep the the Federal government big, expensive, and in control.

In 2008, the media and the GOP establishment conspired to get McCain the nomination. The media hailed him as a Republican they could live with, a Republican they respected, one who would reach across the aisle and seek bipartisan cooperation. That lasted until a week after he got the nomination, when he suddenly was being painted as an angry old man, deranged and out of touch, unfit for the Presidency. He lost, of course. He was supposed to, and he did.

In 2012, the media and the GOP establishment conspired to get Romney the nomination. He was publicly praised as a reasonable man, good tempered, making friends and allies in both parties. That lasted until a week after he got the nomination, when he suddenly got painted as a corporate raider, a greedy capitalist who bought and scavenged other peoples' businesses for his greed, unfit for the Presidency. He lost, of course. He was supposed to, and he did.

In 2016, Trump was an anomaly. He played the media like a cheap fiddle, forcing the cameras to all point at him when he walked into a room. Someone in the GOP establishment was supposed to get the nomination -- Jeb? Rubio? -- who would lose gracefully to Hillary. The government would remain Leviathan, and the GOP doyens would suck in millions from the donor class on the strength of hollow promises to oppose the entrenched liberals, talking a good talk while doing nothing, and living high on the hog doing it. All the right people would continue to be invited to the cocktail parties, and all would continue as planned. Trump threw a wrench into the gears, and the game was exposed.

THAT'S who the NeverTrumpers are.

281 Nixon was about to be impeached for a couple of his underlings breaking into the opposition's party HQ.
Obama's administration had its CIA Director, FBI Director, large elements of DOJ in active cooperation with foreign intelligence services surveil the opposition candidate on a wholly created pretext.

Then, of course, they tried to unseat the duly elected President by pushing an investigation based a knowingly fraudulent premise (and destroyed the lives of a number of individuals "questioned" in the process). Notably, a man of integrity like Mike Flynn, who made the fatal mistake of thinking that a man of good intent could just casually talk to the FBI as though they were actually interested in investigating crime, as opposed to entrapping American citizens in the political opposition.

This, while wiifully ignoring Hillarys clear violation of the Espionage Act that. Forget how many "classified" documents were attached to her emails. Don't you think the direct thought process of the US Sec of State, and her communications with POTUS wouldn't give any adversary a clear window into our strategic assessments, negotiating position, quality of intel etc etc? To my belief, Hillz massive security dump is a large reason why Russia decided to waltz into Crimea (having access to high level Sec of State communications with the then sitting President, giving them the insight that we wouldn't fight over Ukraine).

I have not read of in our history a situation of comparable corruption and outright treason.

I actually do wonder what it would be like if the federal government completely collapsed.

How would it affect my life?

How does the federal government deal with us, individually, on a day to day basis?

For those in a federal welfare program, that's obvious. Your Social Security checks will stop, etc.

Are we self-sustaining enough that an international crash of the dollar would get offset by the strength of our own industries?

As Ace has said, they want to leverage their positions as 'the only clear-headed conservative' status to a an MSM perch as the house conservative like David Brooks has.

In addition, Trump is messing up their game as the voice of conservatism, who, along with the GOPe, were the kings of failure theater. Jonah will write those books about fascism, etc., because it's a good gig being the 'lone voice of reason against progressive politics' in DC without ever really having to stand up to them. Gotta keep friends on the other side of the aisle in DC! Trump makes them actually work for their principles not politely lecture them and then give in in between columns and cable tv appearances, which they refuse to do. He's pulled the current back and shown us their racket, and that is unforgivable.
