The problem with the midterms was that HE wasn't on the ballot. There were a ton of do-nothing GOP squishes out there who got outspent and out-hustled.
The GOP has two years to regroup and rebuild. The plus side of this is should Trump win, his second term will be almost like a first term in what he can accomplish.
Plus the Dems will spend the next to years passing House resolutions condemning the National Anthem and banning Santa Claus. It will be glorious.

The Supreme Court actually has authority over the subordinate courts and Justice Thomas fired a warning shot not that long ago that judges who continue to abuse their authority to make nation-wide rulings will face consequences.

Allow me to introduce you to the "independent voter." They don't follow politics closely because it pisses them off. They don't watch cable TV or live on the internet.
In short, they have a life.
So when campaign time comes around, they look at who is running, what they have to offer, and then they vote as seems best to them.
If the sitting US Senator actually answers their phone calls, shows up at town meetings and generally seems decent, they'll look past the voting record because he solved the problem with Grandma and Medicaid.
It's politics 101 and a lot of TrueCons don't get that. You can waive your ideological purity all over the place, but your personality pisses people off and so they vote for the other one, because: Not A Dick.

From field reports from others it would seem that the GOP chose to spend their money on consultants and not much else.
Now they have been wiped out in NY, NJ, California and much of the NE in the house.
They have literally squandered a once in a lifetime opportunity to
advance a muscular conservative agenda while having probably the most
conservative President in our lifetime in the oval office.
The GOP is an ideologically confused, undisciplined, unorganized,
unprincipled and illigitimate politcal party and all that entails.
And the sad thing is we will more than likely not be able to vote
our way out of our predicament and the GOP will have squandered their 24
years in power.

They scheme to invent a new crises every week so that they can send out hysterical email blasts accusing the other side of some nefarious deed that will be beaten only if we send in our entire payroll check.
Don't play their game. Its worse than the casinos where you have a chance to make some money and have fun. In this game you get ulcers, nervous breakdowns, a substance abuse habit, broke and the house wins everything.

But I can't escape being part black. And not only that, but my White Family (with a small, non-counting bit of Jewish) being from the North (PA), and my Black Family (with a small, possibly even fabricated bit of Native American) being from the South (MD).)...

As for the question of secession, that isn't a legal question. If a state secedes, there's nothing prohibiting it from being promptly invaded or annexed, so the answer to the question is moot. Is it a civil war or an invasion? Really doesn't matter except to pedants. The question is which party can impose their will on the other. Might as well be appealing to international law.
The Constitution likewise does not hold actual force. It holds some authority over the question of legitimacy, but if a President were to declare himself king for life or try to mass confiscate guns, the only question that matters is whether people will accept it. The important of the Constitution is that it tells people that there are certain things that shall not be done. It encourages(but does not guarantee) rebellion if certain thresholds are reached. Its a tripwire in a sense, but not a very touchy one if one pays attention to how fragrantly it is frequently disregarded. Nevertheless, there is a certain degree of deference that must be afforded, even the Left, if one means to hold power.

So in the case of what Snipes is doing, while the governor is jacking off and the sclerosis has set in regarding the departments of government responsible for enforcing the election laws, then it should be lawful and the State military should respect vigilante action to stop the crime. Even if lethal force is the only realistic option to stop it.
For ages, the Left has talked about an organized militia as being the only interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. Given that we had an excellent example of a citizen militia conducting a war during Lincoln's and Sherman's reign of terror, the Left should have a problem with enterprising citizens razing the compound that Snipes has barricaded herself in to conduct her war against the US.

Brown was running ads against Renacci the day after Renecci won the primary. There were hardly any Renacci ads and he never made any case against Brown. I have no idea where the money came from but she fought hard for the seat and won it. I don't expect her to do much with it, but it's the campaign McSally should have run.

The thing could be done. Actually, I sort of did that once, following some web page where you stuff a burger with cheese. You flatten it out large and thin, heap the cheese in the middle, and then fold it up to make a usual burger-looking thing.
Only did it once, though. It sounds better than it is.
