WH Chief of Staff John Kelly, Deputy NSA Mira Ricardel, and DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen Might All Be Fired from Trump Administration

Some of this has to do with feuding with... Melania Trump.

NBC:

"There have been instances where the East Wing staff were not treated as equals to the male-dominated decision makers in Chief Kelly’s office," one White House official said. "Promotions were denied then finally granted after months of requests," the official said.

Melania Trump raised concerns with her husband earlier this year, amid the height of the controversy over his alleged affair with porn actress Stormy Daniels, that Kelly had repeatedly denied her requests to promote some of her aides, two White House officials told NBC News.

The requests languished for months as Kelly insisted there weren’t enough available positions for the first lady’s aides to have senior titles, these people said. During this same period however, West Wing officials working for Kelly received promotions, the White House officials said.

Having learned of the dispute, the president was furious and told Kelly to give the first lady, who has a smaller East Wing staff than her recent predecessors, what she wanted, these people said. "I don't need this shit," Trump told Kelly, according to one person familiar with the conversation.

...

Kelly has also sparred with the East Wing over travel arrangements for the first lady's staff, people familiar with the issue said. He often wouldn't reserve space for Melania Trump's two aides on Air Force One or on helicopters. They would find themselves without hotel rooms and not listed for motorcade movements. The omissions have caused last-minute logistical issues that the first lady viewed as a slight, these people said.

Meanwhile, Mira Ricardel also drew the First Lady's ire:

One of the sources said that their dealings over the trip "didn't go well." The other source said that Melania Trump felt that Ricardel tried to short-change the first lady in terms of U.S. government resources allocated to support her Africa tour.

The sources did not elaborate on the clash over resources.

...

A source familiar with Ricardel's White House performance said Ricardel also ran afoul of much of the NSC staff and "sort of alienated everyone" except for Bolton, the veteran conservative foreign policy expert who has been Ricardel's immediate superior.

Melania isn't using the normal route of whispers and leaks to express her anger at Ricardel: she's publicly declaring she no longer deserves "the honor" of working at the White House:

Meanwhile, Trump is reportedly also looking to eject DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, who is reported to be a close ally of John Kelly:

Kirstjen Nielsen, his secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, is potentially the next to go, multiple officials with knowledge of the matter said. Her departure could portend another high-profile exit: chief of staff John Kelly, Nielsen's top advocate in the administration.

Trump could ask Nielsen to resign in the coming days, multiple officials familiar with the matter predicted, describing the President's continued frustration at her handling of his signature issue: immigration and border security.

20 I think there is more than a 50% chance that Trump will veer left next year, and he's gonna have to clean house to get there.

Let's face it folks: almost everyone here is well over 29 and the culture every year violently jerks leftward away from what we grew up with, knew, and loved in our country. Each year more skulls indoctrinated with insanity flood out of schools and more sane and stable people die out and retire.

We're not gonna fix this with votes, and no "civil war" is going to happen.

Are you sure that this quote is Melania trying to exert her will in some sort of grudge match? Perhaps she could have the opinion that "he's no longer deserving of the honor of serving in the WH" because she's seen how he's not been able to effectively manage her husband's staff?

I will note as well, that the Chief of Staff's JOB is to run the Whitehouse, and help the people who live there.

She was a model so maybe she's a bit of a prima donna, but there seems to be no indication of this. 120 Its never going to stop being fascinating watching leftists talk about Obama vs Trump.

Obama was constantly protected and covered for by the press who refused to give his constant stream of horrific scandals and illegality any air time or notice. Obama's constant scandals had a high BODY COUNT and yet he's called scandal-free because there wasn't any sexual stuff reported.

I mean yeah he was boning rappers and movie star men in the oval office, but no reporting.

Trump has no sexual scandals in his presidency either, so they focus on stuff he did over a decade ago or longer, and report every rumor no matter how stupid or false, and scream it from the rooftops for weeks, then say "see, his administration is constantly plagued with problems!"

Its like saying one guy has no problems in school because he comes home neat and tidy, when you're beating the crap out of the other one and blame him for coming home torn up and bruised, claiming he's some kind of troublemaker.

151 The big problem with staffing the White House is that nearly everyone qualified or experienced is a Deep State GOPe or even Democrat. And further complicating matters is that President Trump pulled in some deep state Bush holdovers to help him with his transition team and building hiring lists, so he got a lot of knives in him from that. Its not an easy row to hoe, but Trump has much harder ones already in his path.

And meanwhile with all the distractions, he got nothing done on voter fraud and now we're all gonna pay the price for that inexcusable failure.

I think that is a lot closer to the truth that what was said in the "news".

Also, Nielsen and Ricardel were choices of Kelly, and Trump is not satisfied with either of them. Which might come down to Kelly either swallowing hard and doing the President's bidding or walking out/asked to resign.

There are other competent people to be Chief of Staff. Ronald Reagan went through a bunch of them in his 8 years as President. And some people look good going in, and then stink up the place. It's less about political philosophy than about getting the team pulling in the right direction and keeping things organized for the President.

But Chief of Staff HAS to be on the same page as the President in how things are done.

Disloyal, insubordinate, or just not getting it done. Hell yes, I'm on board with that, if that's what is happening.

Not all hires work out. You don't find out whether someone is disloyal, insubordinate, or just not getting it done until they're on the job. It's not as though they put those characteristics on their resumes. Also, things change. They can start out one way, and end up another.

The problem is that half the silly drama is a creation of an MSM who've decided rumor, DC intrigue, leaks and flat-out lies are headline news. Think it would be easier to name a week where someone *didn't* declare Trump was about to fire Kelly or Sessions - have there been any?

Add to that: Trump has had people planted in his campaign and administration committed to undermining him, by both Democrats and GOPe. Is it all his fault he has to deal with the sh#t they stir up in order to kneecap his success?

Trump is known for drama, for sure, but he does not own all of the drama in the DC - not by a long shot. Enough blame to go around.

If President Trump can't score some arrests when ballots are forged and strange vans are videotaped bringing in ballot boxes, he can't put that on "distractions."

I don't really care about Kelly staying or going, and lack of action on illegals is at least as much on the President as his DHS Sec. Ricardel is a Bolton friend, btw, which makes me wonder how or why people think Kelly wants him to stay.

Just more meat for the grinder. Can't imagine this is important enough to cause a pause in the Trump Twitter.

The Right is an under-served market. Literally NO ONE ELSE is serving them the way they want to be served. Anyone who *does* serve them what they want gets their undying loyalty...as long as he doesn't screw them over.

No way is Trump going to stab his under-served niche market in the back, especially knowing that there is nothing he can ever do to win the Left over.
They want him dead, and he knows it. He has no future except in sticking it to the Left, and winning.

However some of it is probably true.

1. Bolton and Kelly clearly did not see eye to eye as others have pointed out.

2. Melania Trump did make statements in several past interviews to the fact that some of the people in Trump's administration do not like Trump's populism and are in fact disloyal.

Remember Bolton and Kelly argued over border enforcement, if the military can be used to protect the American-Mexican border, etc. The pentagon has done some backstabbing, etc.

So we shall see who is on first, the Melania angle is just a sideshow in my opinion. I suspect this is more over border enforcement and foreign policy.

429 Every lefty celeb and CEO in the land thinks they can do this since Trump. I keep wanting to tell them, "Do not try this at home."

I've got zero problems with CEOs being POTUS. The ONLY skill politicians have is fundraising. Trump has demonstrated that being able to cut through bullshit and try things that go against "common knowledge" can have surprisingly good results. High end CEOs are great at management and consuming large amounts of data and synthesizing reasonable courses of action therefrom.

The Founding Fathers were enamored of the idea of the gentleman farmer turned occasional politician. I like that idea quite a bit more than the crop of professional politicians with an ancient JD.
