“The easiness with which we get a semiautomatic Glock, which goes beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. It doesn’t take any intelligence or skill or talent to use one of these guns to just kill people in their face, and they’re doing it now with some rapidity in this country.” Chris Matthews

Quote II

“Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism: nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism. By pursuing our own interests first, with no regard to others’, we erase the very thing that a nation holds most precious, that which gives it life and makes it great: its moral values.” Emmanuel Macron

Quote III

“Laws are made for men of ordinary understanding and should, therefore, be construed by the ordinary rules of common sense. Their meaning is not to be sought for in metaphysical subtleties which may make anything mean everything or nothing at pleasure.” Thomas Jefferson

George Bush's Chief Justice let us down. What would have happened to Obamacare had Sen. John McCain voted the way he campaigned? Unseated Congressman Jason Lewis (R-MN) has some ideas on the subject.

“McCain’s last-minute decision prompted a ‘green wave’ of liberal special-interest money, which was used to propagate false claims that the House plan ‘gutted coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.’ ” Lewis wrote.

“That line of attack was the Democrats’ most potent attack in the midterms. It was endlessly repeated by overt partisans in the media,”

Guilty until proven innocent in the court of academia. Just days before graduation, male student is booted from the University of Chicago.

A former student who was expelled for sexual misconduct just four days before graduating is suing the University of Chicago for allegedly violating his due process rights.

He has also sued his accuser—his ex-girlfriend—which is a rare step for those seeking justice in such cases. Most lawsuits born of shoddy campus sexual misconduct adjudication solely target the institution

Creepy Porn Lawyer really has a hard on for Tucker Carlson.

Creepy porn lawyer Michael Avenatti is at it again. The one-time defender of Stormy Daniels and liar Julie Swetnick revealed to the world that he is currently investigating Fox News personality Tucker Carlson for an alleged assault against a gay latino immigrant at a country club in Virginia. Avenatti even released a video of the alleged assault which proves…not much actually.

Tucker Carlson responded with his own statement about exactly what the incident that was recorded involved…and it had nothing to do with Tucker assaulting anyone.

In little old Wisconsin the recent mid-term elections saw 1.4 Billion Dollars in school referendums on the ballots. That's billion with a B. Nearly all of them passed. Instead of raising their taxes these voters should do something about the teachers in their midst.

"Educators" aren't educating.

(Natural News) The group behind the ACT college entrance examination is reporting that test scores for the Class of 2018 have reached their lowest levels in decades, suggesting that the leftist-contaminated public education system is now in total free fall mode.

According to The Condition of College and Career Readiness 2018, the ACT group’s annual report, this year’s graduating class performed especially poorly in math, though scores were admittedly dismal in the other categories as well. All in all, American students appear to have been dumbed down to their lowest level yet – and this could just be the beginning.

I'm not a scientist nor do I play one on TV or on The ONT. But.......What the hell were these people thinking?

A chemical that bills itself as a well cleaner, but hasn’t been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency to treat drinking water, has reportedly been used for that purpose for 10 years in Denmark, South Carolina, CNN reported Sunday.

Citing a yearlong investigation and an FOIA request, CNN’s report raised concerns over whether the chemical that was used to treat naturally occurring iron bacteria in one of Denmark’s four wells may be unsuitable for long-term ingestion. Some residents of Denmark have reportedly turned to spring or bottled water to avoid having to drink the water, which they believe is making them ill.

Can you or I break the law every day, day in and day out for 10 years straight? Yeah, I didn't think so.

Matt Yglesias meet Karma. Karma meet Matt "The human slug" Yglesias.

fore he did, however, at least one Twitter user responded by posting Yglesias’ own home address in a reply thread. The implied threat was clear: Yglesias had failed to denounce the harassment by left-wingers of a conservative media personality at his home, so now he and his family deserved the same treatment.

That Yglesias would get doxed was perhaps predictable, even though it’s a direct violation of Twitter’s policies. (It shouldn’t matter whether Yglesias’ address is potentially findable elsewhere online; posting it on Twitter contravenes the platform’s stated rules, and the context makes it clear that the intent is to intimidate him.) What’s galling—and, by now, familiar—is Twitter’s response.

While doxxing is never cool, it’s not difficult to see how this happened.

A North Carolina man Will have a very Thankful Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks.

A North Carolina man has survived a black bear attack outside his home by punching the animal in the nose.

Sonny Pumphrey had a lucky escape on Tuesday afternoon when he went out to his driveway and discovered three bears in his yard.

It appeared to be a mother and two cubs. But while the cubs ran off, the mom remained.

Installing book shelves? If Ace can't help you, eBay can.

eBay has partnered with three companies to allow customers to book home installation or assembly services for items like televisions, furniture, bikes, and other things that need to be put together, right from the product page.

Various product pages for applicable items now list an option for customers to select assembly and installation services from one of three companies: Handy, InstallerNet, and Porch. The feature allows them to add the services to the purchase, much like you would add on a protection plan. Once you’ve completed your purchase of your item and the services, the applicable company will get in touch to set up an appointment.

Bicyclists proven by data are faster than cars and motorbikes in cities. No word how many traffic laws they broke along the way or how often they were flipped off.

Smartphone data from riders and drivers schlepping meals for restaurant-to-home courier service Deliveroo shows that bicycles are faster than cars. In towns and cities, bicyclists are also often faster than motorized two-wheelers. Deliveroo works with 30,000 riders and drivers in 13 countries.

That bicyclists are faster in cities will come as no surprise to bicycle advocates who have staged so-called “commuter races” for many years. However, these races – organized to highlight the swiftness of urban cycling – are usually staged in locations and at hours skewed towards bicycle riders. The Deliveroo stats are significant because they have been extracted from millions of actu

At least two users, one of them Yglesias himself, said they
reported the tweet to Twitter. Twitter responded to both by saying that
the tweet didn't violate its rules, and took no action. In an email that
was forwarded to Slate, Twitter wrote: "Thank you for your recent
report. We have reviewed your report carefully and found that there was
no violation of the Twitter Rules regarding the posting of private
information."

And so Yglesias' private information remained on Twitter,
endorsed by Twitter, throughout Thursday afternoon, overnight, and well
into Friday morning. One of the users who had reported the doxing
tweeted about it and tagged CEO Jack Dorsey. Still nothing happened.

HAHAHA. Now Yggy knows what it's like to BE A CONSERVATIVE IN THE TWITTERSPHERE.

This might have prevented this election mess by exposing the frauds early on. But he let Comey's friend Roddy slap a few wrists and dock a few pensions and put up some sealed empty indictments that have perpetuated this assault on the nation, legitimized it, and rewarded it.

I don't know if he was morally flaccid, stupid, or blackmailed, but it was more than "not a war time consigliere". He wasn't a consigliere at all, he was a cipher at best and a roadblock. You will see that the country is mostly Red.

The majority of population of the counties are GOP and not Dem.

Dems don't do well in the rural areas. There's a reason for that. Which is why I don't believe they will try a full on war until/unless they can get ownership of firearms drastically reduced.

Little do they understand that even if they manage that feat, it will only be on paper as most of us out here can see the writing on the wall and have made preparations so that we will have a stock of firearms if push comes to shove.

This is not being internet tough guy or day dreaming. This is a fact. And it's known by local LE. they may get their LE to do their dirty work in the cities and semi-urban areas but they will have a tough time where the LE is related to the rest of the particular sector.

I would like to see the local economies definitely get massively retooled in the red states, to the point that they barely need Federal subsidies of any type. Texas is the model.

As I understand it, one of the major reasons the Feds have so much power is because they've assumed for so many decades now the 'Uncle Sugar' role with regard to a lot of services. If red states could wean themselves off a lot of that sugar, they could start telling them what to do with a lot of their rules as well, again IMHO.

That's a lot of bodies willing and able to fight.

The oldies are sneaky and good with strategy, the youngers are energetic and can apply tactics on the run.

242 135 So. Going to gun stores the next week looking for one that can get me a particular shotgun without jacking me up too far.

And find out what they charge for accepting an online dealer shipment if they won't.

Figure I better do it now and avoid the panic rush after jan. When Peepee Lousy begins her ride on the great Gun seizure law of 2019. It will likely fail but who knows these days. Our lead in the Senate is being whittled away and there's still a few ding bats in that body that could be convinced to sign some ineffective and unconstitutional law that creates a gun buying panic.

And thanks to Roberts (i'm guessing) they have refused to clarify a whole bunch of 2a law breaking by the states for 10 years now. so don't look to them to go any further.

I'm not sure what you're looking for, but if you're in the market for a good, basic home defense shotgun, Academy has Mossberg Maverick 88's on sale for $159. Most "sale" prices on this gun are at $200. They'll ship to store free and the background check wouldn't add anything.

If you're buying online to get a particular gun that your gun store doesn't stock, a lot of online sellers have databases of Class III holders who will accept delivery for you. These are often cheaper than what gun stores charge. My gun store charges $50 to do a transfer, but on my last purchase (from Grab-A-Gun) I used their database to find a guy just a couple of miles away who does them for $25.

The EU is just another monster nation, trying to gobble up smaller ones. Which is precisely what they charge their opponents with.

And that is the silliest comparisons ever. Everyone knows that the high paying gigs are in the cities (hedge fund managers, top surgeons, lawyers, managers, etc.) And those same top earners also pay massive local taxes that are used to buy the hearts and minds of the Takers.

The rural areas are populated generally by those who aren't slaving away to be the next millionaire, rather they attract pensioners and other fixed income people because red states aren't constantly dreaming up ways to raise taxes and the cost of living.

Blue states pay more because their people (outside of the parasite class) are oriented at accumulating wealth, where that is not necessarily the case of those in rural/red America.

Posted by: BackwardsBoy at November 12, 2018 11:16 PM (HaL55)

Well, the way the sanctuary cities operate is by not alerting federal agents when they have an illegal in custody or when they release him.

In our dual sovereignty system (federalism), where the states have (theoretically) their area of power / control, and the feds have theirs, there really isn't a strong mechanism to force states or cities to do what the federal government wants (FORCE them to let the feds know they're cutting and illegal loose.)

...And there's a ton of case law on when the feds can withhold federal money. I think it was Wyoming who sued the fed gov saying "you can't force us to raise our drinking age to 21 by withholding highway funding" and the supreme court said, "yes, they can. There is a link between highways and drinking age. But if there is a more tenuous link then that, then no you can't."

Plus, I'm sure you remember the feds vs. arizona case over SB 1070 (cops asking suspected illegals about their immigration status.) The courts said: nah, immigration issues are purely federal matters. States have nothing to do with it.

So... this area of law is pretty complicated and kind of up in the air.

I'm not saying it's right, but...

Who on earth would want to be around anyone who has a written code of conduct that requires them to not steal, covet, commit adultery, abandon their parents, lie, etc. Yet also commends them to follow the golden and silver rule? The world would just be better off with jihadis, Leftists, and people who just don't give a tinker's dam about anyone.

There's no good way to count it.

CA citizens pay a lot in federal income tax. They also take a lot in welfare.

The basic way that the left uses to determine who "pays in" and who "takes out" is by counting transfer payments to the state government + direct government spending.

Well, Florida has a lot of people on social security and a lot of military and NASA spending. So Florida looks like a moocher state. But in reality, many people in FL spent their working years in, say, NY, then retired there. Is it really fair to say FL is a moocher state when the actual citizens of FL paid way more in their working life in taxes then they receive back?

Is it really fair to count military spending against TX when they have Fort Hood and a lot of military contractors? Despite the fact that TX citizens pay a shit ton of federal income tax?

So... idk how you measure this kind of thing fairly.

Of course, the dirty little secret is that a lot of kids are stupid, and a lot of parents simply don't care about whether or not their kids get an education.

Made a small start on reassembling the Ford transmission. scraped and wirebrushed as much crud as I could off the exterior of the aluminum case, and then painted it with a rattle can, to seal any remaining dust to the surface so that hopefully it won't break loose and drift into a crucial passage as I put it together. 344 > If the test is well-made then it won't matter if you teach to the test

Tests as we know them are, at best, a proxy measure. The only real "test" is having a skilled human evaluate the student's knowledge of whatever it is the the class is supposed to teach on an individual basis. Typically this takes the form of having the student generate original work.

Real life doesn't have prewritten multiple choice answers.

The problem is that such measurements of competence are extremely time-consuming and also that many teachers aren't actually qualified to evaluate competence in their purported subject matter areas.

The argument is that they end up teaching memorization of specific facts without an understanding of how those facts or figures fit into the bigger picture. So you know the names of the Presidents but not what their major accomplishments are, or their importance to U.S. history. Likewise, you memorize the multiplication table up to a certain amount, say 12x12, but not how to multiply 134x324 because you haven't learned how to do multiplication.

There's a kernel of truth, because any system of evaluation eventually gets gamed, and it can be difficult to write an exam that is comprehensive but not overwhelming for some subjects, such as literature or history. Plus, the more you make teacher pay and employment conditional on high test scores, the more incentive there is to cheat.

Personally, I think that the problem is that we're trying to make our education system more like Asia, where everyone is sorted via test into career paths, combined with the "everyone goes to college" mentality that has caused so much destruction to our economy and society. I'd rather kill most IB, honors, AP classes and instead focus on the core curriculum needed to be a productive citizen, and let kids test out of school early. If Johnny knows everything that he needs to by age 16, let him graduate, work part time, and take some community college classes if he wants. That frees up teachers to focus on the students who need more help.

367 Don't forget that Dems love to talk about how taxes are too low, but were in an uproar at the prospect of losing their precious SALT deductions.

I think they brought that up mainly as a rhetorical device. The super-rich have their money in trusts and foundations so SALT really wasn't an issue personally. The upper middle class people got ass-raped but they don't have a voice outside of Twitter.

So the reason to bring it up was to manipulate you into thinking that the tax cut was actually a tax increase because they are convinced that lizard brained conservatives would knee jerk react to any tax increase with anger and hatred towards the politicians (e.g. Trump) who raised them.

They weren't happy enough just inflating grades they had to inflate the whole scale. These new >4.0 grades are a friggin joke.

I took lots of AP classes. You get normal grades in them. If you know your stuff then you get scores in the AP exams.

If AP classes are worth more than 4.0 because they're "so hard" then gym class should never score above a 1.5 and Social Studies should have a 2.2 top end.

Meanwhile, the education department is the repository of the dumbest people at every college that has one. Their GRE scores are the lowest of everyone. THE LOWEST. THey score lower on the math sections than the friggin English and Sociology grads. You can't get much worse than that.

406 I hear ya. I don't even sleep the night before 1:00 phone interviews. Sucks.

Phone interviews are awesome. You don't have to worry about them reading body language.

What is better is that you can set your own setting (as long as it is quiet). You can imagine sitting down with your pals drinking beer. Speak slower. Ask the interviewer open ended questions and let them talk on and on. When asked a question about something, don't answer them as if you were just in the room when it happened, but make sure that you point out some particular problem that you solved yourself.

If you are in a phone interview, they want it to be over as bad as you. They may have had to draw straws to see who had to conduct it. Make sure that their time spent was enjoyable, not a duty.

My goal in the phone interview is to get them so relaxed that they will drop an F-bomb or two.

Almost all phone interviews that had the interviewer cussing (these are professional tech gigs) and laughing end-up in F2F sooner rather than later. Be the bookend interview. Either first or last, they forget who is in the middle.

Weighted GPAs are still a separate metric than the standard cumulative GPA.

Weighted GPAs are a useful comparison because AP/IB are far more difficult than honors/college prep or standard level classes. Giving that extra point in weighted GPA helps compensate for the fact that a B- average student taking AP courses could've had an easy A in a lower level course.

That is a 1955 Studebaker President 259 cubic inch engine. With aftermarket valve covers, an aftermarket manifold, and other dress-up parts.

The original Studebaker Avantis came with Studebaker engines. 1963 and '64. Most of them were 289 cubic inch, either a single four barrel, or boosted by a Paxton supercharger. A lucky few, nine I think, got 304 cubic inch engines with the Paxton. A 130 mph car.

And those engines were all based on the same block casting as that '55 engine; just a longer stroke crank, and bigger bore on the 304's.

429 Weighted GPAs are a useful comparison because AP/IB are far more difficult than honors/college prep or standard level classes. Giving that extra point in weighted GPA helps compensate for the fact that a B- average student taking AP courses could've had an easy A in a lower level course.

Posted by: Sjg at November 13, 2018 12:34 AM (gDSJf)

These aren't weighted GPAs; they're inflated GPAs - for the reasons I stated.

If you take AP courses then all that matters is what you score on the AP exams. AP courses without the exams are bullshit, just like the bullshit >4.0 grades they give for them.

But, most grades are bullshit, these days. Teachers understand that they only make themselves look worse if they give low grades - deserved or not - so they generally don't. This is why standardized exams are the only decent measure. Because teachers and schools can't be trusted.

I, for one, am thankful that Amazon didn't come in to ruin Texas or Tennessee.

We have plenty of Amazon tech in Texas, no need for the legal, marketing, HR and other roles. NYC and DC sound like perfect places for that element.

Now I see the genius in Europe opening its doors to the most violent and barbaric souls that the Muslim nations have to offer.

By crowding up Europe with such a burden, no sane country would invade Europe and inherit all of that insane mess.

After the Russians and the US were both handed their respective asses in the world's most backward and primitive country, Afghanistan, it became abundantly clear that any nation that was full of that demographic would not be worth conquering.

What is the upside?

And with Europe's indigenous population aging out and slowly and expensively dying, other than Urals to the coasts genocide, who would want to have to deal with that whining, sniveling mess of weaklings?

I disagree. It's a quick heuristic to differentiate students who may otherwise have similar GPAs, but took vastly different levels of coursework.

It doesn't have any relevance outside of college admissions. It does quickly sort the kid that got maintained an A- average in classes where work and tests were serious, and the kid that maintained an A- average in classes where you could text and sleep all day.

The AP exams are important in terms of what credits you are awarded before starting college. GPA is a factor in college admissions.

I have a '63 Avanti sitting in the shop. I think it was somebody's parts car. Black with nasty blue velour upholstery. And it has a 259 truck engine in it, of all things. Not that that's necessarily bad; a lot of the Avanti engine heavy-duty parts came out of the truck parts catalog, heh. And it has the right Avanti harmonic balancer and pulleys on it, so I can mount the supercharger I have on it.

So you think gym classes should have a max value of 2.0? What about cooking classes? Or any of a whole number of other classes.

If you want to weight classes by "coursework" then you have a much bigger job than just inflating the AP grades.

College admissions boards see the transcripts. They see the classes, as well as the grades. And they see the SAT scores. This bullshit with a "4.3" GPA is useless and stupid. It's the product of the retards in the school system faculties and administration - an effort for them to make themselves look better.

The AP exams are not just to get college credits or skip those classes in college. They are to prove that you actually know that material, unlike bullshit grades handed out by teachers whose main interest is to inflate grades to make themselves look good.

It is a history first of all, and a suggested strategy on how to begin the rebellion against the repression DC actually does want to wage against the deplorable horde. The tactics depicted are very wise.

Primordial. I know my limitations, and beg for mercy.

In spite of my limitations, I spent eight years as a direct report to the President of a Fortune 1000, NYSE listed company, with a 1.34 mil annual budget with a 5.7 mil revenue expectation.

On the job training, on steroids.

My first job with the company was as a $5 /hr., business to business telemarketer in '87.

Nine months later, my boss is the President of the Corporation.

And only by dint of the enmity between him and his step-brother CEO, doth endeth my career there. I killed it in terms of performance to budgeted growth and expenditures.

But when my boss came up to this mandatory retirement, we wrote one HELL of parachute, knowing what lied ahead.

What came after, is a circus of success, failure, divorce, failure and rebuilding, which I still do.

But, I'll put my abilities at least at the "average" of all the "educated" schmucks with which I worked, and all too often steamrolled in their inadequacies.

At my age now, I'm past that path of career progression.

But I don't look back and cringe, either.

Most college degrees are relatively useless. In some technical fields they are important but in the general case companies are going to entirely train their hires, anyway, and what they learned in some liberal arts degree will matter none at all.

But we've gotten into this system where large corporations won't even consider hiring non-graduates for certain jobs, even though they are going to thoroughly train them, anyway. And it seems that there's far too much money floating around in this system for it to be readily dismantled - in addition to the courts having their say as to who a private company can hire based on what criteria and such ...

AP exams are 100% to get college credits. AP courses are a mix of earning those credits and making yourself more appealing to college admissions.

No one forks over hundreds of dollars to take optional tests to feel the virtue of knowing the material. They do so because if they score well they can waive some basic courses in college and enter with some extra credits towards graduation already under their belt.

2.The party of cowards.

Evidence for both ?

mob of cowards show up to Tucker C's house knowing full well that the man of the house/family protector was NOT there and thus deliberately and intentionally terrorizing a female.

it appears that Chrissy Mathews refuses to "carry", thus leaving the defense of innocent people to "others", even tho he has a chance to "be a hero", he chooses to whine and cower, even after preening about how physically "easy" it is to shoot someone.

Losing "winnable" elections and then pressuring a 60 year old Ms. Snipes in her position as SofS, to destroy her life by over-seeing the "stealing" of an election, instead of winning the election "fair and square" and thus providing Ms. Snipes with the opportunity to do her job as intended. 543 AP exams are 100% to get college credits. AP courses are a mix of earning those credits and making yourself more appealing to college admissions.

That's incorrect. Many people take AP exams just to get the scores. There are lots of AP classes that you won't get creidt for, depending on where you go, anyway.

No one forks over hundreds of dollars to take optional tests to feel the virtue of knowing the material.

You would be totally wrong on this. Not that it even matters, but you are.

They do so because if they score well they can waive some basic courses in college and enter with some extra credits towards graduation already under their belt.

Posted by: Sjg at November 13, 2018 01:36 AM (gDSJf)

No. They take the tests, very often, to prove to the colleges that they actually know the advanced material, irrespective of whether they're going to get any credit or be allowed to skip those classes. You know, colleges are not in the business of giving out credits that students haven't paid for. It's kind of a big thing with them ...

Grades in AP classes are meaningless. If someone REALLY got an A then he will score a 4 or 5 on the AP exam. Period. And he will likely be taking the AP test not to get credit but to prove his mastery of the coursework and to be able to skip the class, if anything.

And I'm telling you, a kid who gets a "4.5" or whatever bullshit grade on an AP course but doesn't take the AP exam ... no one believes he knows the stuff.

BTW, as to the weighting and difficulty of coursework argument, I think that they are expanding AP courses to include lots of bullshit material that probably shouldn't rate a 4.0, to start with. The original AP courses were hard science (theoretical) and math but I think that they've since expanded to all sorts of laughable courses.

560 When I still owned my bookstore, I refused to hang a single Christmas decoration until the day after Thanksgiving. It just pissed me off so badly the way the retail world swung from Halloween to Christmas, totally ignoring this beautiful, family centered holiday in the rush to get those Christmas sales. Not only did Thanksgiving not provide money to any one except the grocery stores, it actually prevented regular retail stores from opening. But they've fixed it now, haven't they. In the pretense of preventing Black Friday mishaps, the major chains have begun opening earlier and earlier on Thanksgiving itself. And let's not forget Amazon and it's sisters. (Okay, I'm guilty. When I had the bookstore, Christmas came from Amazon. It still comes from Amazon be cause I can't stand the crowds, walking six miles to my car, and the bloody idiots who wait until their entire order is rung up, look at the cashier like in the headlights, realizing that they actually have to pay for all that stuff. Yes, thirty years in retail has left ugly marks upon my soul.)

n February 2009, Totenberg submitted a resume and letter of interest for a United States district judgeship vacancy. After an interview by a committee appointed by the Georgia Democratic Congressional delegation, Totenberg was among the applicants whose names were submitted to the White House. On March 17, 2010, President Barack Obama nominated Totenberg to fill the judicial vacancy on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia that had been created by the decision by Judge Jack Tarpley Camp Jr. to assume senior status at the end of 2008.[1] Totenberg was unanimously approved on December 1, 2010 by the United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary with a voice vote.[4][5] Senators returned Totenberg's nomination to President Obama at the end of the 111th Congress, however, and he resubmitted the nomination on January 5, 2011. The Senate confirmed Totenberg in a voice vote on February 28, 2011. She received her commission March 1, 2011.[2]

Soviets managed to score with a long pas pass and layup to "win" Biggest travesty in sports history I can think of

It was a disgrace and and the whole world knew who won that game, including the Soviets although they still accepted the gold medal. USA declined to accept the silver.

673 667 So now some liberal judge has extended the Dems time to manufacture enough votes or find another judge to order a runoff.
This is like the 1972 Olympics basketball final between the US and USSR. Team USA pulled ahead with couple free throws and left 3 seconds on the clock. Soviets failed to score in remaining three seconds. They were given THIRD chance because... fairness! or something. Soviets managed to score with a long pas pass and layup to "win" Biggest travesty in sports history I can think of

It was a disgrace and and the whole world knew who won that game, including the Soviets although they still accepted the gold medal. USA declined to accept the silver.
This election will go on and be extended and replayed until the right team wins, and only then will the final buzzer count.
