109 Here is my own post mortem on the 2018 campaign.

But for the Herculean effforts of Donald Trump, the GOP would have been wiped out as they offfered no coherent message or reason to vote for the party other than tax cuts, which were passed a year ago and are no longer resident in peoples minds and that the Democrat party is unhinged.

I know I have harped on the Jay Webber campaign an I will use his campaign to show how unfocused and undisciplined the general GOP message was this campaign...

My main modes of media consumption are youtube and watching Jeopardy, I have been watching Jeopardy religiously for going on 30 years.

I saw the following Jay Webber ads once each in a 5 month span....

https://tinyurl.com/y8znmofd

https://tinyurl.com/y867wlju

Jay Webber sent very few mailers and the mailers he did send were as ridiculous as the two ads that I linked.

His opponent, Rebbecca Michelle "Mike" Sherril ran numerous ads that appeared each and every commercial break, these are the three ads I saw the most during the same 5 month span, I probably saw these ads 100's of times, compare and contrast...

Jay Webber's big spend seems to have been on signs which littered the highway and nothing else..

If anything the signs served to be markers to give drivers the opportunity to say, hey there's that asshole Jay Webber.

From field reports from others it would seem that the GOP chose to spend their money on consultants and not much else.

Now they have been wiped out in NY, NJ, California and much of the NE in the house.

They have literally squandered a once in a lifetime opportunity to advance a muscular conservative agenda while having probably the most conservative President in our lifetime in the oval office.

The GOP is an ideologically confused, undisciplined, unorganized, unprincipled and illigitimate politcal party and all that entails.

And the sad thing is we will more than likely not be able to vote our way out of our predicament and the GOP will have squandered their 24 years in power.

Sad.

110 Mary's symbol is the rose (and one of her titles is "Mystical Rose"). You can go to almost any beach town and if there is a Catholic church the odds are good that it will be named Our Lady of the Sea, or Our Lady, Star of the Sea (Stella Maris).

I've never heard Rose of the Sea, but why not?

Iconography is one of my favorite parts of art history. It's interesting how symbols develop and evolve, and how their meanings differ from one culture to the next. The MOST interesting, though, are the common symbols/themes shared by vastly different cultures that have very similar meanings. It's like humans are similar wherever you go, or something.

I've heard anecdotes like that.

I always thought they were probably untrue until I worked with a girl named "Lazayna."

Yes, her mom was eating lasagna when she went in to labor. At least that was the story Lazayna told me.

I never asked about the spelling.

Several years ago a Moron made a gun belt for me and I can't for the life of me remember who it was. The reason I mention it is that I have had to drill another hole in the belt and I'm thinking I just might want to get another one made.

The good thing is I'm drilling holes to make it smaller, not larger. The last time I went to the doc at the end of August there was a lot of concern about my A1C (7.1) and she put me on a low carb diet. I've been trying to keep to about 25g per meal/75g per day and so far I'm doing pretty well keeping within those limits.

Since that time I've dropped 35 pounds without even trying. That's better than I've done when on a dedicated trying-to-lose-weight diet, so I'm wondering just how low I'm going to get this time.

I have FiOS. When I signed up for it, it was for the TV and the Internet. A tech had to come to my house and I was given the predictable "he'll be there a week from Wednesday between 9 am and 2 pm." Thanks!

So a couple of years ago I decided to cut the TV cord and cancelled the TV service. While I was on the phone I was told that I needed to return the set top box RIGHT AWAY otherwise I would be charged a few hundred bucks for the cost of the box. I said "Well, the next available opening I have is two weeks from Friday, between 11 am and 4 pm."

In a sane world this lawsuit would be laughed out of court.

You can see the problem here.

Suposedly this is under First and Fifth Amendment. Unfrozen caveman lawyer needs to explain that to me.

If some Hawaiian judge grants this petition, every single person in the country should file for a hard pass under the 14th Amendment because that would mean Acosta is gettiing special treatment.

I believe there must be a spectrum to Furry behavior. The only time I've encountered them in a while was at a bowling alley. They took up four lanes.

I was told it's a monthly event. They furry up and go bowling, which is pretty innocent.

I laughed, I told him no real Southern woman would go downtown in hair curlers and shabby cloths.

The Trump administration did not revoke Jim Acosta's press pass, they revoked his day pass to enter the White House.

Jim Accosta is free to do his "reporting" anywhere he likes except from inside the White House.

But apparently Republicans do not have the ability to limit who can and cannot enter the White House.

371 Professor Jacobson is asking today, "Why did Martha McSally receive 200,000 fewer votes than did Ducey or 60,000 fewer votes than did the AG candidate, with most of the difference in Maricopa County?

The answer is, of course, that McSally was a lousy candidate. The losing Democrat in the state AG race received nearly as many votes in Maricopa as McSally. Sinema, by contrast, got 48,000 more votes than McSally in the county, which was her entire victory margin.

"Wrong, buffalo wing breath."
That nonna spent a lifetime pruning olive trees and grapevines. She likely assisted in laying fieldstone for her house foundation and carried firewood to and fro countless times. She may have even split a few logs. She cooked on a fireplace hearth, all her cookware was cast iron that she may have needed to fling at the husband a time or two. And she never got a manicure, not even once.
I can see why people associate the people with soviet art. However, Italian peasantry attire was not limited to that OD shade the woman with the scarf wears.
