Nancy Pelosi, What Is She? F*cking Nuts?

2523.jpg

***

First, she had to pass Obamacare to know what the law was. Never mind reading it.

Now what does Nancy have in mind? Look out deplorable peons collateral damage.

“We owe the American people to be there for them, for their financial security, respecting the dignity and worth of every person in our country, and if there is some collateral damage for some others who do not share our view, well, so be it, but it shouldn’t be our original purpose,” she said Sunday.

I'm not sure about you, but I really don't want her to be the Speaker of the House.

15 MisHum, you're not going to get a big argument from the Horde on that.

But the idea that the Dems would be rewarded with the House for their insane and repugnant behavior. Wow.

How about Adam Schiff as Speaker? That's been broached.

Which reminds me of something particularly appalling about a Dem House. They have shown, the last 2 years, utter indifference about - indeed, support for - the weaponization of powerful agencies of govt., including wanton criminality, to attack their political opponents.

Most people are probably half-boiled frogs now, everything just seems "normal". But the Keystone Coup attempt, the Clinton crime wave at State - these are astonishing, unprecedented abuses and scandals. And one of the major political parties, and its voters, don't really care - at all - about it.

They live here, but by no meaningful definition are they citizens, or countrymen.

Because he's smart. It's MUCH better to have too small a venue, and have people fighting to get in, than the converse. A crowded venue generates electricity and enthusiasm that is totally lost if the venue isn't easily filled. Attendees think that they were lucky to get in, which puts in a good mood. Conversely, attendees rattling around in a venue have the impression that they're chumps, that this is a loser, and everybody but them realized that.

Neither do fraudulent voters.

And c'mon. Is it too much to ask to stand in line to protect our democracy?

There's a reason why the Reds want mail-in votes, early voting, motor voter registration, etc., and it's obvious: it facilitates electoral fraud, the Democrats' standard ploy.

Jay Leno's wife was/is a moonbattish-ish kind of gal, human rights or women's rights-focused, I think, so back when Dubya was knocking off the Taliban regime in A'stan, as I recall she would not join in the usual slanders against him.

Good late-night comedy was a staple, or at least a routine pleasure, a lot of my life. Leno was the last one who was watchable. He really continued the tradition.

Dunno about White Sox fans, but IMO Red Sox fans take the cake for obnoxiousness. If the Red Sox went 161-1 they'd all still be whining about "the Red Soxxxx," in that stupid nasal braying accent. They seemed to consider any season in which the Red Sox didn't sweep everybody and go to the World Series as an affront against galactic justice.

In fairness, I've never lived in NYC, so they might do the same, so the jury (me) is out on that one.

LA fans are obnoxious because LA. If you're not obnoxious, they won't let you live in LA, as far as I can tell.

281 MisHum, the situation you describe has always been handled perfectly by absentee ballot voting. Could, and should, be again.

As Grump confirmed, counting of paper ballots can be very quick. Scanned (fill in the oval) more popular now after FL 2000 than punch-card style, but that's silly actually.

It was an early, but jaw-dropping, revelation to me when several people I knew, who weren't dummies, didn't understand how the FL "recount" was an abomination, in principle, not just in practice. And these people understood statistics. If the counting machines are functioning properly - *the totals they provide are accurate*. Period.

Several states, like FL, have/had particularly stupid election laws. The systems they pay good money for are disregarded, to add the illogical and invalid but emotionally satisfying "recount" concept. Money wasted on systems that don't require recounts, opportunities for corruption opened up, etc.

(Dubya's winning margin in FL 2000 was ..... drum roll .... almost exactly that reported on election night, as confirmed by 3 independent audit "recounts" done by newspapers in subsequent years. Surprise!)

I recently voted in an election that was tied. Tied! And the recount was tied. This was after re-counting early votes or otherwise. Even single votes matter. The runoff was even separated by only a handful.

Cheer up-- I had a part-time library job when I was in grad school, and the periodicals librarian thought that a large poster of 40 species of insects that infest library books was just the thing to decorate the staff room wall. The poster did make coffee breaks interesting, though.

Trump had better come up with some new writers for the 2020 season.

Which it is/was.

you underestimate the effect of sedentary population. the people that settled the state are not the same as their lazy kids they dropped in the state. same problem as in europe only not as many generations of rot.

Posted by: yankeefifth at October 19, 2018 10:02 PM (MTjB1)

465 So it is hereby resolved: the Boston Red Sox, to date, have the best MLB record of 2018. The NY Yankees wiffed and failed, with their history of flagrant drug abuse and all. Those poor Astros folded like a cheap suit.

Lets see what these other guys, that play a variant of the game, can contribute! (Currently Brewers 5-1.)

Well, there certainly is that. But in the "Summer of Love" people flocked to California in general, and the Bay Area in particular. That marked the starting point of SF's decline into drugs and perversion.

To this day I ask liberals here where they're from, and when they came here. They never grasp the edge on my question(s).

468 BurtTC: "You should have seen the guy. I think he WAS e. coli."

Heh. Did he ask for soybean sprouts substitute? I bet he asked for soybean sprouts substitute.

To be fair though, I'm nervous about leafy vegetables at restaurants. Something about sanitation, cultures that are weak on it, yada yada. As I understand it, there's a vast underreporting of food poisoning attributable to contaminated food that most people don't realize. I hate preparing food, but at least I know something about its origins and handling if I do it.
