Blasey Ford Still "Negotiating" Over Her Long-Delayed Appearance

She's demanding that she only be questioned by the Senators themselves, who will #Trigger her, so she can go on Rachel Maddow and whine "They #Triggered me with their maleness!"

Senate Judiciary Committee Republicans are considering using female staffers to question Dr. Christine Blasey Ford at the hearing set for Thursday, but her attorneys pushed back.

Might she now cancel completely now that she's successfully stalled long enough to let the Democrat/Socialist Social Justice Warrior find new accusers?

Committee Republicans "reserve the option to have female staff attorneys, who are sensitive to the particulars of Dr. Ford’s allegations and are experienced investigators, question both witnesses," committee chair Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley said in a letter to Ford’s lawyers Friday, according to The New York Times.
Ford's lawyers only want her to be questioned by senators, reported CNN. All 11 of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Republican members are male.

Michael Avenatti has manufactured his own pet accuser:

I represent a woman with credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge. We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be subpoenaed to testify. The nomination must be withdrawn.

Grassley (on his own, or on insistence from Flake or Collins) will accommodate all of them. Ford's 36-yr old unsubstantiated claims denied by all parties named in her accusation set the bar so low, there is no bar to holding hearings.

Only way Kavanaugh gets confirmed is if Grassley et.al. treat new claims different than old ones. If, as I suspect, Grassley's hands are tied by other GOP Senators, this ain't happening, absent a change in posture by the true Senator(s) that are really behind the curtain here. Dems are already imposing uber-pressure on Collins and Flake, and if one or both of them already have bought into this shit sandwich, then as the late Bill Paxton once said, "Game over Man! Game over!"

Flake has already announced that he's not running for re-election here in AZ.

The reason for that is that he stands no chance of being re-elected. His approval here is something like 12% (or it was a couple of weeks ago; it may have dropped since then).

If they want to vote them down, I would say let's see if they'll really do it. Flake has little to lose but the other Senators, it will probably end their careers.

Every day this drags out, I would wager Kavanaugh's chances for confirmation go down. And if he goes down, I would expect a bloodbath for the GOP in November.

3) The Dems have more time to throw mud

Will they? Not if past is prelude. Not if they keep acting like they always act. Not if they keep pretending bad faith = good faith. This is a shit show. Grassley committed political malpractice by conceding to Ford in the first instance and now has no path to conclusion that doesn't open him up to the very arguments and pressure he sought to avoid by delaying the vote originally. That is the entire point of the Dems tactics. The problem here is that unlike Judge Moore, Kavanaugh seems like a good boy, a nice guy. He seems like a decent sort of likable moral person without being pious or condescending about it. Moore had an unfortunate holier than thou feel and a bit of a creepy vibe about him. It was easier to buy negative stories and dislike him.

Its like Oliver North during Iran-Contra. The Dems were sure they had Reagan, and that the GOP was doomed, and then Ollie North took the stand on national TV and was like a big eyed lovable kitten. It ruined their entire strategy.
