Left-Wing Groups Like The Women's March May Have Violated the IRS' Rules for Non-Profits By Essentially Paying People to Break the Law

TheDCNF listened in on a conference call Monday where organizers for three groups behind the protests called on activists to continue their "civil disobedience" as part of their efforts to "shut down" Monday's upcoming confirmation proceedings. These activist organizations -- which include Women's March, the Center for Popular Democracy and Housing Works -- provided cash for the post-and-forfeits [fines in lieu of jail time for misdemeanors] to protesters who didn't show up with their own money before they faced arrest for their conduct, CPD Action national field organizer Darius Gordon and Housing Works national advocacy coordinator Paul Davis both said on Monday's call. ... "If you do not have access to your cash we will certainly be able to arrange to get it to you before the action," Davis said, noting that they had done so at previous anti-Kavanaugh protests.

Wong told CNN her group raised more than six figures in the first two days of Kavanaugh's hearings, funds that were used to provide travel, accommodation, legal training and bail for its members who engaged in illegal activity. But organizing such conduct isn't allowed under IRS rules and is "incompatible with charity and social welfare," according to IRS rules. Ruling 75-384 "holds that an organization... that planned and sponsored protest demonstrations at which members were urged to commit acts of civil disobedience did not qualify for IRC 501(c)(3) or (4) exemption," the IRS states in a document detailing activities that would bar organizations from tax exemption.

For instance -- and this is a digression -- I live near Hartford CT which is as shitty a place as you can want to live near. But Mark Twain loved it. It's possible to go around town and notice all of the Twain-era buildings and filter out everything since. If your mind can do that you'll find that it was quite a lovely place.

2) In the end Ford is going to claim that something isn't right, so there will never be any actual testimony. MiL had post-treatment MRI, and the original location looks fine. The path of entry/exit for removal of the tumor shows an indeterminate differential darkness/lightness, which is presumed to no be scar tissue or other normalities such as blood, fluid, grey matter. The recommendation is a follow-up surgery scheduled for next week. Mixed bag. Treatment appears successful, where it was focused. Where it wasn't is indeterminate but presumed cancerous, and this is the follow-on treatment phase.

That is not how LIVs look at things. The GOP base may look at it that way, but not LIVs or the Independents. Especially in this day and age. The base is strong either way, I hope, we need to attract the voters we don't have.
