The senators will have all weekend to prepare questions for when she shows up on Monday. She'll not file anything it writing nor testify. It's all under oath and that's the problem. Even though I don't care about this woman's yearbook, might I say mine has nothing in it but candid classroom pictures, hayrides, prom, Homecoming, football games, basketball games, school plays, rallies in the gym... Wasn't it also because Moore was an adult (early 30's) accused of chasing around underage girls? A bit different than one high school kid feeling up another when they both were teens.

In some ways, the 1861-65 Civil War primarily dealt with one issue which force resolved and after a nasty decade afterwards of unrest etc. re-coalesced in time for the centennial in 1876. The separation in the U.S. today is over multiple issues and not confined strictly to geographic boundaries nor to a split in a largely homogeneous population as was the Civil War.
Perhaps the easiest and least bloody solution would be to let California secede which might give enough breathing space to save the rest of the country.
