So spare me further bullshit on this point. Yes, men do rape. But women also do lie about rape. Both things happen. It's even more absurd that we don't even have her testimony, but we're supposed to take a redacted letter she wrote to a partisan senator as determinative.

Yesterday, I saw a post on a facebook page defending Kavanaugh from a stupid woman who said " Kavanaugh's daughters will have to live with the fact that their father is a sexual predator".
No dissuading her of that fact from other's posting in response. Or discouraging her from repeating it.
Most of facebook is made up of people with no life or no social contacts who simply respond to everything posted. I have a Canadian acquaintance who posts daily nastygrams about President Trump, including he should be impeached/jailed. She runs a small business in Canada and yet this is what her facebook page is devoted .

I never though Kavanaugh's confirmation was in jeopardy and I still think he'll be confirmed, but look how this bitch and her supporter's have managed to drag out the process. They get an extra week to get their stories straight and make up-shit. AND they get to help sway public opinion--which is key in perhaps peeling off a couple votes--while preventing a couple possible Democrat votes by providing cover.

If she had, she would have known that "everybody at school" couldn't have been talking about it in 1982, since Ford herself said she didn't tell anybody until 2012. The very first tell this was a made up story is that since she doesn't know what year it was, she doesn't know how old she was. People keep saying she was fifteen, well, if this incident happened anytime during the number of years she said it happened, she could have been 12 or 18.
No one has a physically scary or emotionally damaging incident happen to them as a minor and not know how old they were. Nor does anyone with that history immediately forget it happened until magically 35 plus years later, they are hypnotized by a counselor and shazam! instant recall.
The entire thing is bogus and I'm tired of hearing that this kind of lie makes it harder for someone who really was assaulted to come forward. No it doesn't. The social support and moreover the actual laws that are tilted in favor of women in both sexual harassment/assault and domestic violence has made it much easier for actual victims to make and win their case. But at the same time, those supportive laws and social support have made it harder for men to exonerate themselves , which means, we do NOT have equal justice under the law.

"To kill a Mockingbird" was loosely inspired by the real life case of the Scottsboro Boys, were 9 black men were convicted and a couple sentence to death for the rape of 2 white women on a train. 2 major Supreme Court cases came out and they were eventually exonerated after spending much time in an Alabama jail. The general belief now is that there was some kind of party on the train with all of them, including the women, but when some white Alabama men found out about it the women got scared and said they were raped by the black men, so they wouldn't be disgraced or worse. There was never any physical evidence of a crime, just the 2 women's say so, which didn't take place until some time had passed.
For liberals pushing this "rape" story - the Scottsboro Boys case was one of the most notorious public cases of state sponsored racial discrimination in the 20th century, and it played a large part in the start of the Civil Rights movement.
