"Guess who's perpetuating all of these kinds of actions? It's the men in this country. I just want to say to the men in this country, just shut up! And step up. Do the right thing for a change," Hirono ranted, when asked about being one of four women on the Senate Judiciary Committee.I have an idea. If liberal feminist women cannot understand that due process and the requirement of evidentiary standards do not turn off just because another leftist feminist woman has made an allegation, perhaps they should be excluded from public debate and public office. Perhaps they're just not mentally capable of participating in participatory democracy. Meanwhile, another man Blasey Ford alleges was present at this four guys, one girl (or two girls? Depends on her fuzzy, mutating memory) pool party denies he was at any such party.
"I understand that I have been identified by Dr. Christine Blasey Ford as the person she remembers as 'PJ' who supposedly was present at the party she described in her statements to the Washington Post," Smyth says in his statement to the Senate Judiciary Committee. "I am issuing this statement today to make it clear to all involved that I have no knowledge of the party in question; nor do I have any knowledge of the allegations of improper conduct she has leveled against Brett Kavanaugh." Now let's play out this scenario like an investigator would.
Girl goes into a room with two boys. Boy locks the door. Boy turns up music real loud so nobody can hear them outside. Two boys, both older and bigger than the girl grab her, cover her mouth to keep her even more quiet because the loud music isn't enough apparently, and attempt to rape her.
...Girl breaks free of two attacking boys, and leaves the locked room.
Now... does this add up? If they were really trying to rape her, how did she break free? If the door was really locked, how did she get out with two boys intent on raping her? If the music was the way to keep her quiet, why a hand over her mouth?
Yeah, you can argue all that might have happened in various scenarios and ways but it really sounds like someone making up details so things sound worse, trying to increase the severity of the event because they realize it doesn't sound that bad as she originally stated it.
Add to that the lack of details and memories, the changing number and composition of party goers, the timing of this complaint, and the lack of any complaint for decades adn you have a case which, as Comey would put it, no prosecutor would try.

Also, Soon Ye Previn was never his adopted daughter or his step daughter. It was pretty scummy to date his current love interest's daughter but she was at least 20 when they started dating, he married her and they are still married today. That is hardly the behavior of a predator.

I'll pick a bone with you here. I've recently watched some fascinating YouTube lectures given by neuroscientist James Fallon. Fallon notes that there are a clump of "warrior genes" you inherit via your mother. They are the genes connected with aggression. Lots of people have them and don't grow up to be psychopathic killers. They might be entirely honorable people who channel their aggression in productive ways. They can be good cops or Navy SEALs or athletes or tough but honest businessmen or bosses. But Fallon said, the combination of those genes and witnessing or being subject to violence at a very young age can be a recipe for absolute disaster. Fallon noted that this problem gets worse in war-torn areas of the world like Somalia, because if you are a 16 year girl, you're going to want a tough guy to protect you. So now the aggression genes are being passed on from both sides, plus the kid is born in a violent shithole. Fallon's theory is that it's not just nature or just nurture that creates killers but a combination of both.
None of this excuses the actions of a Bundy or a Gacy, who knew damn well that what they were doing was evil and chose to do it anyway. But I don't see anything wrong with examining these butchers and trying to figure out what went haywire in their brains rather than just saying "They're evil and that's that. Nothing else to see here."

trev the man was cleared. He was cleared by child protective services and he was cleared by the child sex abuse unit at Yale-New Haven hospital...
and an announcement from a prosecutor that he has enough evidence to charge but is not going to is an admission that there is no evidence. Rule kept adding addedums to her book about Bundy as the years passed. I read it for the first time a month ago and in one of her later additions she noted that it was her belief Bundy was the product of incest - that his grandfather was actually his father and that other family members said the grandfather was a violent man. Not sure if she was reaching there, but if true, there might have been more going on with Bundy genetically and environmentally then just shame over being illegitimate or anger over having been lied to.
