23 Willowed Regarding Bid Ed, our local University of Oklahoma has been helmed for some 20 years by David Boren, a former Governor and Senator with absolutely no administrive experience outside government (the governor's office is very weak). He could fundraise to beat the band but oversight was not his strong suit.

He recently stepped down and we found out OU was $36MM in debt in spite of the fact that tuition increased 35% over five years and no faculty had received a raise over that period.

The new guy is from the private sector and is immediately bashing heads. Good for him.

They appear to hold things in all hands except the boy's left one, and there he's almost giving a little finger to the artist. I understand, kid.

Before 9/11, the Muslim population of the US could get lost in a rounding error.

Why were the floodgates opened to the Middle East?

This is a reasonable question that deserves an answer, and the lack of a reasonable answer only invites conspiracy theories.

Why were the floodgates opened to the Middle East?

This is a reasonable question that deserves an answer, and the lack of a reasonable answer only invites conspiracy theories.

The answer is that our so-called "leaders" sided with our avowed enemies and instead of punishing them, they decided that we deplorables were the ones who were somehow responsible. That's why we're treated as potential terrorists virtually everywhere we go in public. Hell, I even saw two soldiers with rather large rifles and no discernable sense of humor at the Alabama game.

We were sold out. "Religion of Peace" my lily white ass...we should've prohibited the construction of any new mosques and done our best to push the death cult of islam back where it came from. It has no place here.

==========================
(Donning tin-foil hat)
There is a nice, mid scale community just to the west of where I live. It was a nice community of ranch homes and good schools. A mosque sprang up there one day, and the entire area was flooded by muzzies. This happened in a matter of 18 months. They have completely taken over the area. I was driving past the day care center out there the other day, and 10's of hijab wearing women were tending their terrorists in waiting. This is coordinated. Police stop traffic on the feeder street to the mosque during services. They have private security inside the mosque, that has a security fence surrounding it. They are taking over the local government, and will ramp that up to the county, then state level. 9/11 was the start of the invasion, it continues apace.

Posted by: Brave Sir Robin at September 11, 2018 10:06 AM (ty7RM)

76 I think that the left has a tendency to not only despise the United States but to feel guilty for any feelings they have toward those they think have been historically "exploited" regardless of how evil or murderous they are. So when you had middle eastern filth murder Americans, they immediately responded by asking "Why did we upset them?" We must be nicer! And I feel bad I had any bad feelings about them on 9/11 so let's invite them in and give them tax money! Maybe we can show we're submissive and they can feel better! They literally elected a man named "Hussain" to try to make up for "causing" 9-11 by being "not exploited" westerners. Never forget that the Left HATES Western Civilization because it stands in the way of global redistrbutional communism.

Why do you think no one was allowed to even whisper his middle name, Hussein? If McCain or Palin or one of their spokespeople had mentioned it once or twice in a high-profile setting, the spell might have been broken. I honestly believe that the first time millions of people heard his middle name--even many who voted for him--was on inauguration day.

The Constitution was meant for a specific people, with the assumption of good faith. I fear increasingly it might not be able to survive the influx of alien cultures and general bad faith among "Americans" of dubious intent. And I'm not sure what I think of that.

The whole poop problem is because poop can't biodegrade when it's sitting on concrete or asphalt.

Doesn't SF have any postage stamp parks? Or streets where there are gaps in the sidewalk to grow trees or flowers? If people could be persuaded to defecate on the dirt, the problem would be solved. The nitrogen is good for the plants.

This shall include all Collectivist parties (Communist, Socialist, and Fascist), and all faiths that call for the institution of theocratic rule. Last week I had my dog, Teddy, at a dog park and he started playing with this Italian Greyhound belonging to a tall dark haired woman I guess in her 20s (as I get older my ability to guess ages has gone completely in the shitter) who was attractive and friendly. Her dog's name was (phonetically) No-eee which she told me was an Icelandic name. With her not being a blonde I asked her skeptically if she was from Iceland and she said from Bosnia. That was a first and an answer I wasn't expecting. After a pause I asked her, while saying I hoped this wasn't offensive, if she was a Bosnian Serb or Croat and she said Muslim. That was the second time I was rocked with no quick response. I ended up saying that she and her family got to personally experience the worthlessness of the UN.

I guess I have to trust my instincts and think that she's an assimilated good person but there's a part of me that's still uneasy.

Obama is scion of two generations of hard left CIA operatives. The Dunham's were recruited and sent to Hawaii to entertain and make comfortable all those available leftists in newly independent colonies in Asia and Africa. The focus was to remove as much leftist tender from Soviet recruitment to insure American control of strategic Asian/African seaports, minerals and oil. Hawaii was chosen as a conducive American locale that was totes multicultural. The University of Hawaii was the excuse to wine and dine upcoming exotic revolutionaries and give them education (or to determine their real political beliefs and appetites). Grandpa was set up as a furniture store owner while grandma ran CIA money to front groups in country. This is where Obama comes from - so no big surprise he and Brennan hit it off immediately.

I'm coming to the cynical conclusion that leftists can be conditioned into believing/feeling anything. That's why they think everyone else can as well.

I'ma gonna get all psychological again today because there's a gaggle of mental pathologies at work, IMO.

Those people you refer to have no inner compass, no conscience to guide them and tell them what is right or wrong. Hence, they look constantly outside of themselves for answers to problems which, as we've seen for years, are almost always wrong. The loudest mistaken take on any situation is what they tend to follow and believe, until another loud mistake overtakes the previous one.

In other words, we're talking about people who are easily led and who will believe anything if it's repeated often enough. They are easily brainwashed. Evidence of this is the fact that Leftards will repeat any slogan they hear word for word. If you ask them what that means, you'll get a blank stare and no explanation, no depth to their argument and no solution to a problem.

It's precisely this type of intellectual weakness that needs to be kept far away from any sort of power or decision-making.

Oh, and if you dare to let your conscience be your guide, those outer-directed people will hate you with the heat of a thousand suns because you've ripped their mask off and revealed them to be shallow weaklings, something their egos cannot tolerate.

227 I saw the picture heading the morning thread - "Falling Man". I love that picture. Firstly, it is fantastic work of art. The repeating gray vertical lines have a quiet solidity to them, but the light tone of the gray also invokes a misty quality. Because they are so similar, it's difficult to tell where one building end and another begins. The gray is also a clean gray--no dirt, debris, or other items to mar it. Then, dividing this abstract image directly in half is the natural shape of the inverted human form. Your eye cannot help but follow his path through the picture. He is dark, with a small dot of red. His pose is unnatural and it give a sense of dread and unbalance to the viewer. The neatness and orderliness of the background are shattered by the chaotic human form. This picture is the absolute image of That Day. That is the power of art.

Secondly, for me, it is a portrait of an anonymous hero. This was a man who stared his murders in the face and defied their plans. He knew he wasn't going to survive that jump. Instead of cowering in terror, burning up, suffocating, he chose defiantly Door #4 and stepped into eternity on his terms.

I used to show this picture in class every semester during the unit on Photography. I would end the class with it and tell my story of "where I was when...". The class would then file out noiselessly.

228 While I agree we could have executed the war more aggressively and with better ROE's, you go with what you have and what you know at the time. America had not been in a war for a long time. Nor had we been in a battle where modern day COIN was used as a strategy.

Bush made mistakes. Some of that is forgivable given the aforementioned. I'll make one exception for the CPA and that asshole Bremmed.

Obama however is unforgivable. Knowing all we knew at the time, he pissed it away for politics.

229 207 The thing about muslims is that they might be assimilated and friendly....until suddenly they aren't.

Posted by: steevy at September 11, 2018 10:33 AM (mCMQ5)

Yes. I am becoming increasingly worried about this. I have a family member married to a muslim. Recently, following a family gathering, my son pulled me aside and cautioned me. He said that this family member, who seems completely and totally Westernized, had made some statements that --- weren't.
Posted by: grammie winger at September 11, 2018 10:36 AM (lwiT4)

Even if the muslim in question is assimilated & Westernized, by the time he has grandkids, they'll revert to form. Why wouldn't they? Nothing in Western education and culture teaches kids, of whatever religion, that America is worth loving or supporting.

There are a lot of people of all political persuasions who are all et up inside with frustration and rage these days. I am certain that the internet makes it easier to see them and hear them than before; I am ambivalent that having the ability to express that frustration and rage at any time and anonymously has done much good for relieving that frustration and rage.

I keep a close watch on this rage of mine
Keep it from getting loose all the time

If we shot it down, the debris field would have been large - the plane would have broken up in the air. The jets scrambled to intercept had no ammo on board, due to stupid Clinton-era rules, and had orders to ram.

We got lucky, the most likely story is that the passengers fought back, and either they or the hijackers put the plane into a fatal dive to deny it to the other.

Looking out over the where the impact crater was, you can't help but tear up. So quiet, so peaceful, yet a place where tragedy occurred. Seeing mementos, flowers, Rosaries left along the walkway.

The policy of bringing in Muslims is bullet proof against opposition, no matter what happens. If more terrorist attacks happen, opponents will be branded as bigots who are blaming the vast majority of "peaceful" Muslims, and this will be used as an excuse to bring in even more.

It's also possible that in a wild fight to control the cockpit, the stick was inadvertantly pushed into a nose down position. The plane was flying at a very low altitude at the time, it would have impacted within a few seconds of that happening. We'll never really know how those last few seconds played out.

Some did and some didn't. I started to read a book on Bosnia called Unholy Terror by John Schindler but gave up on it because it wasn't well written although the research seemed to be solid; plus I think Schindler is a NeverTrump. Izetbegovic, the muslim (quit capitalizing it autocucumber) leader of the country travelled to Iran a lot and was very devious in his dealings with the MFM, who loved to be duped by the radicals. They never passed up an opportunity to say positive things about the rock worshipers and openly shilled for Slick to militarily intervene on their behalf.

The non-jihadi muslims are devout believers and even assign prophet status to Jesus. My Lebanese friends tell me that shi'a muslims and druze attend shrines to the Blessed Mother, because they also revere her. It's not a huge stretch for truth-seeking muslims to convert to the apostolic faiths.
I used to pray for mass conversion of muslims to Christianity. I believe they would be an asset and strengthen and support the mission of Christians on earth.
