The great historical irony, that we all see when we look at that picture but which they could not, was that the Funeral was for them, and their governments, and in many cases their nations. The status quo for most of the 19th century would only hold for 4 more years, and then explode so violently that we're all still dealing with the fallout today. None of them could see it coming.

Then we've reached the end of the political consensus that allows for a Constitutional Republic. We couldn't keep it, Dr. Franklin.

Not a single Democrat came to question Bruce Ohr. That says to me they are perfectly at ease with seditious conspiracy to rig elections--as long as it is their team doing it. It tells me if they ever gain power again, they will do it again. After eight years of following a Communist and two more years of Trump Derangement Syndrome, Democrats (and Uni-Party Republicans) have become "normalized' to Deep State sedition. If President Trump did to his political opponents any of the crimes that were (and still are) being committed against him, Democrats would howl until the moon fell out of the sky.

Inserting spies into campaigns. Allowing "contactors", private opposition research firms to paw through all of the government's top secret NSA files on behalf of Hillary (not to mention their Russian clients!). Weaponizing the CIA for partisan politics. The FBI. The State Department. The DOJ.

This cannot go by the boards. This is not "boys will be boys". A house Redacted against ****** cannot stand. This two-tiered "Justice" System--one for the Clinton/Obama Machine and illegal aliens, another for everybody else--must end. Either we expose, punish and reject this Deep State Sedition, or we lose our democratic Constitutional Republic. One way or the other, there will be a Reckoning.

Step away from the Abyss, people and come back to your Constitution.

Could go either way, as divided as the country is. The left energized goes after Trump while the rest of us rally 'round the President in the time of National Crisis.

One thing i respected about Bush is that he never publicly blamed one of his hires for screwing up. Politicians blame others, but leaders accept that the screwups of everyone under them is their screw up for giving them the responsibility. Blaming Palin just made mccain look cheap and petty, but he was. He was a child used to having his way and unable to accept that he was not a great statesman or leader.

The thing is, all his navy training should have taught him that shit. Bush learned it from b-school, i guess, but mccain never learned it in the Navy? Man, he must have been dense as a bag of shit.

I worked for his campaign, not because I really wanted him to take over and continue where Bush had failed, more because I hoped he'd find himself unable to do the job and leave Palin President, but most of all because I thought that the product of a Kenyan Marxist and a Kansan Airhead who (among other red flags) wrote a book that shat on much of what I had thought good about this country in the previous twenty years was unlikely to be more than a complete disaster as President.

I said at the time and I'll say now that the tickets were inverted; Biden was far more qualified and competent than Obama, and Palin far more capable if not as tested as McCain.

We got Obama, which in 2008 as a reaction to the Bush failure was perhaps understandable. The fact that the guy wasn't thrown out on his ass in 2012 made me want to nuke several major urban areas in this country. It inclines me to think that the lesson the Democrats learned from 2016 is not that they shouldn't nominate an aging felon with a whole containership of skeletons in her oversized closet, but rather that they can't ever nominate a white person.

And, as such, I do not begin to call myself any kind of 'white nationalist' (for somewhat evident reasons) but I sure as hell don't want to live in the Democrats' spoils state.

On the plus side, the waterproof mascara worked remarkably well. The paroxysms of grief she exhibited at all services, the Vietnam wall, etc., would have foiled any normal waterproofing.
