CNN and Other Media Organizations Plead to Manafort Judge: Please Give Us the Jurors' Names So That We Can Dox Them Into Voting the Way We Demand

CNN is a known doxxing organization.

The whole point of jury privacy is to keep them from being influenced by outside forces -- why would CNN and its co-conspirators want to breach that?

Citizen-doxxing organization CNN reports:

The judge will hold a hearing on a motion by CNN and media organizations to unseal the names and addresses of jurors as well as other parts of the trial that are currently secret.

"A thirsty press is essential in a free country," the Judge said in announcing the hearing.

Even the most cucked-out of cruiservatives actually understand what their Very Good Friends in the Leftist Media are up to here.

This is also exactly what the Left did with Proposition 8 (anti-gay marriage) supporters in California -- threatened during the election to out all Prop 8 donors' names. And even AFTER it passed, the Left finally got its victory and got a judge to release ALL names of people who donated to the campaign. Every single one of them was then viciously attacked by leftist demons. And the goal of all this was to terrorize FUTURE potential donors to any conservative cause to fear doxxing.

I'm guessing Prager U. is very effective at getting people to re-think the progressive 'conventional wisdom' on all sorts of topics. So, they must be stopped. 70 ISIS doesn't tightly coordinate with terrorists here. Instead they'll put out a general call to hit soft targets, knowing that they have enough volunteers who will be eager to answer the call.

At this point, CNN will demonize this or that official, or doxx a private individual, knowing that they have their own zealous, self radicalized self appointed army who will hear the call and go after the target, though like ISIS they don't directly coordinate it. At what point does CNN become a terrorist organization?

Fuck yeah they are. Our "free press" is an instrument of our oppression. People may no longer be fooled by the propaganda organs but they still can do harm. Bullying jurors is one major way.

It's time to fight fire with fire until our access to social media is finalized. Dox reporters, journalists, editors and producers and their families and make those details available. These people need to know terror so they won't engage in it.

150 The first time I noticed the tight message coordination across the MSM/entertainment platforms was in 2008, particularly with Sarah Palin.

They seemed to perfect the 24x7 flood the zone attack mode, with the news channels covering the 'Palin is stoopid' story of the day, followed by late-night comedians and SNL joking about it, then the news channels replaying those jokes/skits to drive it home. Meanwhile, publications such as TIME, People, Good Housekeeping, Glamour, etc. treated Sarah (and family) like Honey Boo Boo while treating Michelle and Barack like Kennedy royalty.

It was overwhelming how effective they got with that election, and it's been chugging along ever since, giving each of the latest targets of the Left the same treatment for 8 years. They would have done in Trump in 2016 if he didn't have the ability to break the OODA loop of their attack machine.

That's because caucuses are based on social bullying, and fear of being ostracized if you don't conform to the group-think.

Watch the video of the 1950-s experiments in "normative conformity" for a truly bone-chilling experience, as perfectly normal people are socially manipulated to go along with the mob. The Left saw that and realized they could weaponize this human weakness. Everything they've done since then has been to use normative conformity as their primary tool. Fake polls, for example -- falsely saying that "everybody" is planning to vote Dem, thus you'd better join "the winning team" - -are an example of this as well.

I don't there's much logic to their hate, because they really don't want President Pence. However, imagine how emboldened they would be if they ousted Trump? They'd go double on Pence.

Oh, I know, Tom. The hope would be more jury demands, particularly at the federal level, given the outrageous governmental misconduct but CNN is getting right on that hope.

193 Fyi, Jurors names are not confidential, generally. They are a matter of public record. During a trial, a Judge may choose to keep the jurors names confidential because of fear of intimidation by powerful criminal organizations, or undue media attention. But after the verdict is in, the Juror's names will almost always be publicly available, as will the trial transcripts.

222 I am hoping that's the case. I recall getting annoyed once when a judge held a hearing for a ridiculkous motion filed by my opponent. However, it became clear right away that he was just humoring the other side. About 10 minutes in, my opponent asked the judge if something was wrong because the judge was laughing, the judge said "You asked for a hearing, I'm hearing you."

Yes - and when a Judge refuses to even hold a hearing on an issue that some party has raised, then he leaves himself open to later claims of impartiality and bias in the conduct of the trial.

As I said earlier, I think it will be completely defensible and fair for him to rule that the jurors names will be released as soon as the verdict is in. Because that's when they'll be released anyways.

Eh, recall the times a local paper decided to get cute a publish a

Just publishing the names, addresses and social media accounts for
the staff, particularly those in charge, has gotten these publications
to take it down.

That was somewhere in NY State, wasn't it? As it is, when you ask the government there if you can exercise your 2A rights (get a pistol permit), you have to opt-out of having your name/address being published.

The film Natural Born Killers has a very large subplot about the media and how they profit from sleaze and promote violence.

It was more of a request. Usually Juror's names are a matter of public record. A judge can shield them from being released during a trial if they think it's necessary. When a judge restricts the release, any interested party can petition the judge to reconsider his position. 359 It all starts with nobody understanding what "freedom" is or what we mean when we call something "free".

So "free press" is the latest stream-of-consciousness elaboration.

Of course a press would be "freer" if it had more power. Power is roughly the ceiling on the freedom you can exercise. You're not free to watch anything if you're blind, you're not free to walk to the corner if you have no legs. Capability is a ceiling on "freedom" as "freedom" exists in nature. You're "free to fly" if you're Superman. You're not "free to fly" if you're Batman or a normal human being.

So the press is decrying any diminishment of its power as an "attack on their freedom". Which is true to the dynamics of it, but it is a simplistic analysis in a system where we all must accept a limitation on our power (freedom) for other people to be allowed to exercise their discretion.

And these are J-school grads.

409 I'm not conservative. I find myself in the pro-sanity faction.

The left-sphere is in the camp of "change things when you *feel* progress is blocked--it's some kind of injustice somewhere."

The reaction against willy-nilly-change, makes me pro-deliberation. Which means that things don't just change because we feel the need right now to change them--feeling microaggressed by reality. Which, eventually creates a tendency to prefer conserving what already works, and a skepticism against "plans"--especially hyped "solutions", before they've solved a thing.

433 Worth noting...in the UK, Tommy Robinson was tossed into solitary, moved to a majority muslim prison, had various horrible things done to him, lost 40 pounds in a matter of single digit weeks, eating only a can of tuna fish a day, because the muslim inmate cooks in the prison were credibly trying to poison him.

All of this because he was standing on a street, videoing child rapists and pimps going in to the court to be sentenced (they had already been found guilty). The prosecutions theory was that could potentially, have influenced the jury, even though it is not clear how given that jury had already convicted.

How is CNNs even request to dox the Manafort jury not at least that bad, and in fact much, much worse?

I think the appropriate punishment is to put who ever approved or signed that dox request to prison for jury tampering.
