The Morning Report 8/15/18

Minnassperj.jpg

Good morning kids. Midweek, and here we go. First a roundup of yesterdays's primary results. Despite the allegations of abuse about Keith Ellison, he easily won in a landslide for his run at the Minnesota AG slot as fellow traveler and probable perjurer Ilhan Omer won in her bid to take his vacant House seat. Criminality and general mopery are generally seen as resume enhancers for Democrats. And these two have it in spades: one dame, both black and Muslim. Anyway, Hinderaker at Powerline has an analysis of that Frostbelt shitshow, along with T-Paw failing in his bid for a comeback. Elsewhere, a couple of outsiders are moving forward in California and Connecticut while GOP-e approved Leah Vukmir advanced in Wisconsin (see note at bottom), I hope you haven't had breakfast before clicking on the link to the freak in Vermont, and I don't mean Sanders or Leahy. Lastly, Kris Kobach has officially unseated incumbent governor Jeff Colyer and declared winner in last week's primary in a stunning upset.

Sliding over to the general political scene, one of Obama's hacks-in-black put the kibosh on a New Hampshire voter integrity law, Al Leppo is hell bent on screwing up the GOP in the New Mexico Senate race, a California Dem is a giant hypocrite when it comes to big oil, Missouri Dems completely shun the pro-life vote (not helpful, I imagine, to McAssKill), despite the influx of Puerto Ricans after Hurricane Irma and other predictions, Florida's Dem voter registration is actually down from 2016, Larry Hogan is supposedly 16 points ahead of far-Left racialist loon Ben J-Zealous in Maryland, and lastly a new group is calling on the Dems to reject the party's official approval of Joo-hate. Zei mir mit mazel on that one.

In First Amendment and Fake News news, CNN ripped into PDT calling the London terrorist attack a terrorist attack despite their own verbiage, Levin goes on his usual tear about the MFM, Devin Nunes conspiracy theories abound and Daniel Greenfield rips into Omarosa and her bullshit. Lastly, the mayor of Somerville, Mass. will no doubt help boost sales of Sam Adams beer.

In the Mewler Flea Circus, Paul Manafort's defense team has opted to rest without mounting a defense and a good piece from American Thinker about the gradual acceptance of Brennan, Clinton and the truth behind this whole shameful episode that is still ripping the country apart.

Internationally, Erdogan retaliates to US sanctions by threatening i-Phones, Michael Leeden's current analysis of the vulnerability of the Mullahs, for once I can relate to the Chi-Coms though I'd've thought their "camps" would involve ditches and bullets, and finally the drone strike on Maduro may have been a coup attempt. Could also have been a false flag Erdogan-style fake-out to round up the usual suspects.

Turning domestically, while PDT is taking an axe to regulations, Ben Carson is part of that effort at HUD. In a related vein, a good essay at our friends at City Journal regarding Apple and the "robber barons" of history." Meanwhile Chelsea Alinsky-Mezvinsky is a raging sack of stupid, and two fine essays on both the entitlements and pensions time bombs that are ticking away. And as Betsy McCaughey enlightens on how the Democrats scramble feverishly to keep the death panels alive, Humberto Fontova praises PDT for his fight to keep our healthcare from turning into Cuba's.

Some good things in the Red Green department where a judge tossed the insane children's climate change lawsuit against PDT, a NY power company is suing Andrew Cuomo and NY State for sabotaging their $1 billion plant and the Bank of the West's idiotic embrace of the luddites is biting them in the vault.

From hither and yon, the same Christian baker who won a huge win at SCOTUS is now being persecuted by trannies, Matt Lauer has to cough up big bucks to the ex for pushing the wrong buttons, everything the Left says, does and accuses us of is projection and in a related piece, on the 4th anniversary of St. Swisher's laid into a ditch, the Left will Horst Wessel that dead horse for all time.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

UPDATE: Misanthropic Humanitarian says "Leah Vukmir is not GOPe. She stood by Scott Walker pushing a conservative agenda when Kevin Nicholson was a democrat pushing abortion. Vukmir is not a Susan Collins or a Murkowski."

Considering he lives in Wisconsin, I post this in the interest of fairness.

18 As someone in WI, I'm kind of getting tired of the Breitbart-type press referring to Vukmir as GOP-e. Sure, she's part of the GOP in this state, and has been part of it for a long time, BUT... things in this state have been nuts ever since Governor Walker's election, the Left has gone apoplectic, and there's a core of GOP lawmakers, Gov. Walker being at the center, who have stood firm and have really righted the course of this state. Vukmir is part of that group, and I think WI voters recognized that. I don't think most people even had a problem with Nicholson, per se, but he just hasn't been a part of WI politics as a Republican until now. A lot of his campaign was explaining how he switched from a Democrat, and against a lot of opponents that would have worked, but after all the GOP in this state has suffered, including the John Doe witchhunts, Dems running to IL, and the general hysteria still against Walker, Vukmir was the wrong person to try to paint as being ineffective or wishy-washy.

Voter turnout in WI-1st (Ryan's district) was evenly split between the Dems and the R's. I think this one will go down to the wire with the Dem winning. Just my opinion.

I mean when your statement of principles starts with drivel like this, you know you have some issues:

Well probably because he didn't know about the wiki leak emails before they announced they had them.

Not sure who is pushing that story but it is not true. What is true is that Trump and the rest of the Country knew hillary had been using a secret server and Trump was asking if maybe Russia had her deleted emails. That had absolutely nothing to do with the DNC and wiki leaks.

Its not necessaryly what it wants but more a function of refugee and immigration policy.

Minesotta was chosen as the repository of Somali refugees about 30 years ago, so that's where FEDGOv dumped them and as a bonus they get more lottery slots in the chain migration abomination so pretty much the vast majority of Somalis that immigrate go there.

Our entire immigration system is oriented exclusively to diminishing the white majority.

One of the most heartening things you can do is look up the #Walkaway videos posted on YouTube. There are dozens by blacks, Hispanics and gays who have recognized that the Left has manipulated them by telling them "conservatives hate you, therefore you have to vote D." It's very hard for those people to break away from liberalism - they fear being shunned by their own communities. So they need to feel that the Right will welcome them and treat them as individuals. If they look over to our side and see us making blanket derogatory statements about them, it only tells them that, gee, the Dems were right - they DO hate me.

I've watched videos of her dissing PDT. More than one. So, perhaps not GOPe but, #NeverTrump?

-----

WI was Cruz' last big win, and a lot of the conservative voters in WI were not thrilled (to say the least) that Trump won the nomination. From Walker himself on down, you've got comments about trying to stop Trump from the nomination (if you remember, too, this is one of the reasons Walker ended his bid for President so early; he was going nowhere, spending a ton of money, and he figured he'd help coalesce the anti-Trump people). Anti-Trump sentiment here was so strong that Hillary thought this state was in the bag, because she couldn't imagine a state where the R voters were so anti-Trump voting for him in the general.

But... The WI voters pulled it off, and DJT won in the general. And for the most part we've been very pleased, and you've seen the GOP here mend fences with Trump, not in the least is the Trump-Walker push to get the Foxconn plant in the Racine area. So I'm sure there is no shortage of anti-Trump statements from GOP people in this state, if you go looking for them.

However, it just seems ironic that Nicholson would use a recorded clip of Vukmir speaking against Trump way back when to try to hit her with, when his WHOLE CAMPAIGN was about how he had a change of heart and mind in politics. Is he saying that nobody else does?

Titletown Brewing, on the Fox River, is nice for its ambiance, though I truly don't remember anything about the food (and I wasn't drinking there either!) Bay Beach is an amusement park on the bay and run by the city, nice for the kids because the rides are cheap (25 to $1) and a beautiful location. A guess?

His policies were geared toward empowering large corporations (stock) and killing (privately owned) small businesses. Immigration policies encouraged cheap labor, again, benefiting large corporations (see Disney laying off entire dept. and replacing w/H1B workers). Obamacare resulted in a lot of hospital consolidations, medical practices merging with hospitals (again, benefitting medical corporations).

I find this reprehensible. After the Boston Archdiocese scandal, one that had NH Bishop John McCormack's fingerprints all over it - should have been the impetus for all other dioceses to identify and rectify this situation on their own turf. The NH Diocese had to implement policies and procedures that were developed in conjunction with the court system and outsiders to make sure this never happens again.Yet here we are seeing the same type of behavior in PA (and other states dioceses will not be far behind). This needs to addressed nationwide now. Get it all out in the open, help the victims, punish the abusers and address fixes going forward. You can't tell me that the US Council of Catholic Bishops did NOT know about any of this - even before MA/NH went through it. Certainly they all knew afterwards. Yet nothing was done.
Being a Catholic, this sickens me to no end.

Thanks to that article up top and the news about her "advance", I now "get" Omarosa's game completely, and have to give her credit for playing a bad hand marvelously well. Consider - she is a no talent hack who's only skill is acting bitchy while striking a pose on a tv show; and she happened to catch the attention of a quirky billionaire who thought that kind of act could be useful for a while. She parlayed that into an actual White House gig, amazingly, where it quickly became apparent to everyone else that "oh, she doesn't have any actual skills, does she?"

So with her only future job prospects being the home sanitation and/or food service industries, what was a girl to do? Her answer - toss together every half brained conspiracy story that had ever appeared, write them down and say "IT'S ALL TRUE! I SAW IT!!!! well maybe."

And she got Simon and Schuster (aka CBS) to pay her $1,000,000 + cash in advance for that? My god, that is one of the greatest cons of the age. She's already got the money, and her career was already over. She's won, the rest of the mess is CBS' problem now.

321 If you read any link, read "A Teachers Lament". It perfectly encapsulates the problems we have now and face in the future.

Leftists long ago figured out that controlling a children's education is foremost to brainwashing and ultimately political control. It is the reason we se such profound, stubborn ignorance today. It is the main reason there is no reconcilement of truths and falllacies. It is the only reason the far left exists.

This type of miseducation appeals to the most basic, primal desires and instincts. It divides, confuses, conquers and banishes the intellectual for the self serving and self interested.

Ensure your kids get a good education. Pay attention to what they are being taught. Correct the fallacies and propaganda with facts and meritorious arguments. That's how we correct the ills of the past and provide a better future.

Never surrender to another persons idea of who you should be and what is "right". Our future, your children's tuturr, depends on that vigilance.

Thanks JJ.

>>How the hell does the market show an increase during the years Obastard was gutting our economy?

A guess?

His policies were geared toward empowering large corporations
(stock) and killing (privately owned) small businesses. Immigration
policies encouraged cheap labor, again, benefiting large corporations
(see Disney laying off entire dept. and replacing w/H1B workers).
Obamacare resulted in a lot of hospital consolidations, medical
practices merging with hospitals (again, benefitting medical
corporations).

Not a stock market person, but it was obvious Obama was there to
make big businesses bigger, not necessarily in a way that benefitted
citizens, employees (think: replacing full-time with part time and temp

She almost got it right - that's not what abortion did.

(and now, as a caveat, this argument is what I give to pro-abortion leftists to shame them into realizing what they actually support, and it was first made in the book "Freakanomics" some years ago - it is not an argument that I actually, personally, espouse)

Chelsea needed to acknowledge that what abortion did was to dramatically lower the crime rate, by taking out about 40% of the black babies that would have been born over the last 40 years. And given that most of these were from the poorer segments of society, it would be safe to say that this would have been a natural born criminal class. That was Margaret Sanger's entire idea when she started up Planned Parenthood, after all - use birth control, sterilization, and abortion to gradually rid the country of the poor and intellectually inferior lower classes. That is what Liberalism has always stood for.

(make that argument to an abortion supporting dem next time you get the chance, thank him for his good work on eliminating the surplus black and brown babies)

Truth be told, I have a few very well educated teachers in the family. They actually avoided the brainwashing, even at Ivy League schools, and are free thinking Republicans. One who went to A famous NYC Ivy, did work in the city schools, some in very nice lower West Sode Schools, and some in not so nice uptown schools.

What was the big difference besides socio economic factors? Parent involvement, engagement and attitude.

You either become an involved, engaged parent by listening, understanding and reinforcing the education process, or you turn your kids over to the senseless, self serving forces that breed dependancy.

It's that simple.

410 The line is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Fraud knows where
But I'm strong
Strong enough to marry him
He ain't hubby, he's my brother

So on we go
His welfare is now your concern
The burden is yours to bear
Pay your fair share

For I know
I'm committing perjury
He ain't hubby, he's my brother

411 Yikes--from the morning report it does not seem the Repubs have any good news. All the good news is for Dems from Minnesotastan. Do we have any viable candidates to run against Sharia or is it too late for the northern US of A?

415 58 After just 18 months Trump has me wondering, were the last 4 presidents even trying?

Hell yes they were. Just not for you and me. We are Little League, and they were trying out for the Majors.

416 Thank you for the Vukmir disclaimer on the end of this post. As a Wisconsinite I agree with Misanthropic Humanitarian that she is a solid conservative and skilled legislator in the state Senate. She will be able to work the Senate in DC and drain the swamp.

419 Last night, as the votes were being counted in Minnesota, I noticed that Keith Ellison's brother Eric Ellison was attacking his brother's victims on Twitter. I sent his Tweets over to Gateway Pundit, and they published them. I then sent Gateway story over to NY Times reporter Patrick LaForge. He responded that Gateway Pundit was a "garbage site." Told him that instead of attacking a website, he needed to go look at Eric Ellison's Twitter feed himself. Told him I had written for NY Times in the past and his response would not have been mine. Arrogant jerk
