The Morning Report 8/9/18

diina.jpg

Good morning kids. Lots of things to cover this Thursday but in the lead I want to shine the spotlight on a story that is for sure going to get lost in the sauce, and intentionally so. Because for the media to give it the attention it deserves means it would have to destroy the political party and movement it has been pimping since the birth of the nation (no pun, but still), as well as expose the utter baselessness of the charges against President Trump - The revelations that an aide to Senator Dianne Feinstein, who has been working in her office for the past 20 years, has been spying for the People's Republic of China. The details of all of this, as you can well imagine, are sketchy at best. At first it was reported he was her driver, and then it came out that he was an aide. Later, we learned that officials knew about the guy but they didn't prosecute because his activities were political in nature and not espionage (or espionage-espionage, if you will). And the haziness is due in no small part to the desperation by the Dam-Media complex to avoid a scandal that potentially is as huge as Obamagate and Hillary's emails especially 13 weeks from a midterm election they are desperate to win. And also because it kind of sticks a fork in the whole Russia-Collusion farce which has more forks in it than a bull in a Tijuana matador ring.

Whatever the details may be, the fact remains that a senior American political figure who sat for years on the Senate Intelligence Committee and was privy to some if not all of this nation's most sensitive security and state secrets imaginable had an actual intelligence agent of our chief geopolitical rival and, in fact, enemy in her employ for a period of two decades. And he wasn't just Kato in a chauffeur's outfit or Hop Sing with the Calgon either. From the first link to the Federalist piece:

For the last 40 years, no politician in America has arguably maintained a deeper, more longstanding and friendlier relationship with China, at the highest levels of its ruling Communist Party, than Feinstein. It dates back to the opening of U.S.-Chinese diplomatic relations in 1979.

Shortly thereafter, Feinstein, then mayor of San Francisco, established a "sister city"relationship with Shanghai, one of the earliest and most robust such relationships in U.S.-China history. Soon after, Feinstein led a mayoral delegation to China joined by her husband, investor Richard Blum, a trip they took together many times over the ensuing years as the relationship between both Feinsteins and China grew.

During the 1980s, as mayor of San Francisco, Feinstein developed a close friendship with Shanghai Mayor Jiang Zemin. This substantially enhanced Feinstein's foreign policy profile, and created an important linkage to the U.S. government for China's Communist Party (CCP).

Just as Feinstein rose to a prominent position in foreign affairs and national security in the U.S. Senate, first on the Foreign Relations Committee and later as chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Jiang rose to the top of Chinese leadership, serving as chairman of the Central Military Commission, general secretary of the CCP, and president of the People's Republic of China (PRC). Under Jiang's leadership, the PRC initiated a brutal crackdown against practitioners of Falun Gong, including mass imprisonments, beatings, torture, rape, organ harvesting, and murder, and engaging in alleged human rights atrocities against Tibetans. Feinstein never renounced her friendship with Jiang, in spite of these acts.

Feinstein and Jiang reportedly visited each other regularly in the 1980s, with Jiang once spending Thanksgiving in San Francisco with Feinstein and her husband. Jiang supposedly danced with Feinstein during one such visit, which surely must have been a propaganda coup for the CCP a la Ted Kennedy and the Soviets.

Read the whole thing. It'll curdle your guts. Several salient points; First, Feinstein may play the part of a doddering, octogenarian who had no idea she had been compromised but I am not buying it (mostly because this started at least 20 years ago). Case in point was earlier this year when she blamed being high on a Trayvon NyQuil shake for releasing Glenn Simpson's Fusion GPS testimony, which effectively sabotaged the investigation by allowing her co-consprators in the Deep State to get their story straight before being called on the carpet. She's a calculating political operative and despite the fact that the Maoist wing of her party wants her gone, she's spent her entire lifetime as a key member of a movement that has worked at the dismantling of this nation since its inception. Meh; she learned from the best, Bill and Hillary.

Let me not mince any words. I hold Dianne Feinstein directly responsible for whatever intelligence thefts the individuals she has had in her employ may be guilty of, if we ever are to find out the extent at all. And it has got to be massive. Also, considering the brutal crackdown on dissidents in China that continues to this day, as well as the more than likely compromising of any intelligence assets we may have had in that country, she has blood on her hands. Beyond that, the evidence is clear that her extremely close ties with the Chi-Coms has led to her influencing foreign policy that more than likely contravened both American interests and sanity - especially during the Obama reign of error when the United States all but abandoned our Asia-Pacific allies and also allowed the PRC to gain footholds around the globe. In doing so, she and her husband no doubt profited handsomely. Traitor? I think the record speaks for itself. That is, if it will ever be allowed to speak for itself.

And before leaving the subject, be sure to read the related link about how the Chi-Coms really are a bunch of sneaky bastards that are working to steal the nation out from under us.

Moving on to the other big story, the fallout from Super Tuesday and what it all portends for the November Midterms. Alyssa Milano "Cookie" crumbles out the coming talking points that the Green Party was a Russian plot to siphon votes from the Dems. Yeah, you go with that sweetie. Despite the closeness of the races, (Kobach is still in a statistical tie as of now) the President is right to crow about going 5 for 5 in races the Dems touted as harbingers of November. The RNC is even making hay about the Left's "moral victories in defeat." All well and good, but Trump can''t drag everyone over the finish line, especially if the base stays at home (which I don't think is going to happen). Than again, we have Joe's Man-Chin and Donnelly both bucking the Party and supporting border wall funding and despite the alleged country going koo-koo for kommunism, Loopy Ocasio-Fiasco's picks all got shot down in flames, as Markos Moule-Frites at Kos demands the Dems embrace the socialism or die, and we have very good essays on this including by MR fave Daniel Greenfield. That said, the number one issue is amnesty and immigration and with the hideous reports of child rapes, murder, mayhem and miscellaneous meshugas being inflicted on the citizenry by the non-citizenry while the Democrats praise their future and current constituency, why the RNC is not making a massive ad campaign with this theme is beyond me and beyond stupid.

And on that issue, as mentioned the Joe-heads supporting the wall in the upcoming budget, we have crackdowns on employers of illegals, another drop in illegal border jumping, an illegal alien serial killer may have been nabbed in Miami and pity the poor MS-13 animal who's being treated mean by the bad old police. Aww... Go die in a Feinstein, chazar paskudnyak.

In the Civil War 2.0, goons go after a GOP guy and his wife in California and Vox blasts Betsy DeVos because, gasp! she has a very expensive summer house. Psst! Vox! Hot tip, there's this place called Hyannisport up in Massachusetts...

Internationally the administration colluded with Russia by sanctioning them for the nerve gas attacks in London, and despite the definite goal of China to rule the world they're not infallible as detailed in the link about them doing a 180 on hitting our oil companies with retaliatory tariffs. Closer to home, our own DoD is proving to be just as corrupt as any other federal bureaucracy, the Senate GOP is bitching at the Dems for stalling Kavanaugh's confirmation and the West Virginia legislature just impeached all four of its judges from its supreme court. I guess where there's a will there's a way but I'm still fuzzy on the details.

In the world of Islam, ISIS sympathizer feels the heat in South Carolina and another cartoonist risks losing his head over Mohammed. And in related news segueing to education, anti-semitism is surging on campus, a kid got kicked out of school for wearing an NRA shirt and Arne Duncan wished he'd done more to brainwash our kids with Commie-Corpse. Yet another reason why you got Trump, PBUH.

From hither and yon, the administration is nixing Obama-era lightbulb bans, cheerleaders are blasting the NFL over hypocritically hiring male cheerleaders while covering up past discrimination and abuse against women, interesting piece from American Thinker on the roots of America-hate and BuzzFeed needs a nice big cup full of STFU with it's hard-on for Che Guevara. Pig-Piss Be Upon him.

Anyway, links from around the world, across the nation and up your street. Have a better one and remain blessed.

Quick Update: I neglected to mention the link to the Federalist piece about the border. The author draws the conclusion that no border wall will stop the flow of illegal people and drugs. Well, it certainly will slow it down. And if we continue to take away the Uncle Sugar incentives of free bennies, ramp up the "repatriations" and throw employers in jail and fine them out the wa-zoo, then that's a wall in and of itself and perhaps even more impenetrable than concrete - jjs

11 Good morning, horde!

Wife health update: Report from doctor #2:

Side 1 is abnormal tissue but based on pathology report we just need to monitor going forward.

Side 2 is cancer (type 1 - which means slow growing). We'll remove the lump and a sample of lymph node to send to pathology. The lymph node sample will tell us stage. Assuming that we're stage 1, 1 - 6 weeks of radiation, 5 - 10 years of hormone blockers and we should be good to go. If we're not stage 1, chemo.

We've decided to go with doctor 2, who was much more personable and forthcoming, so our next step is to meet with the radiation oncologist which we will do later this morning.

12 Prayer List Correction-

Yesterday I attributed a name for a need to the wrong poster. Iiam so sorry. and apologize. Fortunately God knows everybody's name even when the coordinator of the prayer list gets confused. This is the correct situation and needs of Lurking Phineas:

News. I start the 8 weeks of radiation tomorrow (Today). Recent conversation with the Doc confirms we are beating the cancer up with the hormone therapy, and that the radiation is to kill it. Although the hormone therapy will continue for 18 months to two years, he expects a cure. It got dusty for a few.

My employer has finally brought in a replacement and I am going on disability pay for 2-4 months. I am transferring knowledge and authority for the next week, and then I will be totally focused on the healing. All in all, very good news. I blame the fervent prayers of believer.

Please continue to pray for Lurking Phineas. Thanks

54 Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes.

I'm going to give you something other than my usual cynicism, vulgarity, anger and depression this morning.

I've never been a fan of Carol Channing - Lifemagazine once described her as looking "like an overgrown kewpie" - finding her, as many Broadway producers have, a sui generis talent who is particularly problematic to cast.

Before her star turn in 1964s Hello, Dolly! she was most famous as the gold-digger Lorelei Lee in the 1949 musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

Goldie Hawn began her career in a 1967 sitcom, Good Morning, World, where she was cast as the stereotypical dumb blonde. She carried this characterization over to the show that made her famous, Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, where she specialized in the role of a giggly, innocent, sweet airhead.

In 1969, Channing guest-starred on Laugh-In and was paired with Hawn in this sweet little song about blondes. I think it's happy and charming, and I hope you will, too:

And there it is. In a nutshell. The damn dirty secret of so much of all of politics. It's the personal enrichment, at the expense of a nation.

Too bad for him they did not buy it. Now if the witnesses who turned him in can verify that he had all his cloths on now that would be a valid defense. The USMJ in matters of rape said 'penetration however slight'. Legally he could not commit rape unless he had a zipper down and the witnesses would have had to verify that.

They don't need to appeal. It is a prima-facie usurpation by the judiciary on the executive branch.

And appealing to the branch that usurped your power in the first place is insane.

Just ignore the judge's opinion and tell him to go FOAD.

Period.

Federal courts say DACA workers are now a protected class

This is a blatantly illegal order. The only legal 'protected classes' are those listed specifically in the 1965 Civil Rights Act, as amended. That does not include homosexuals, transgendered, and certainly not illegal aliens who are not even US citizens. The Democrats worked hard to get the homos through on the original act but the rest of congress would not go along. So now the courts are doing it through judicial fiat. Now they want to add illegal aliens. I throw the BS flag. And the sad thing is I doubt if Sessions will fight this stupid order. Congress certainly wont.

This is stupid.

You could argue "what's the point of locking your doors, or purchasing home security services, because you can't stop 100% of burglaries!"

From a past job many years ago where I was tasked with stopping fraud, the approach was this: we want to control it, and to direct where/how it happens (in this case, away from customers' accounts to prevent hassles, and to make it easier for LE to assist). I imagine it's not all that different with border security: place walls strategically to protect people who live on/near the border, and route the traffickers to paths where capture is easier.

This "100% or it's not worth it" argument is silly.

220 A substantial chunk of the California delegation is for all intents and purposes foot soldiers for the China Communist Party and has been for decades. I personally observed how California Democrats, including Feinstein, facilitated and encouraged universities to open their doors and sensitive STEM programs to the Chi-Coms in the late Eighties/early Nineties even as communist party handlers within those initial delegations menaced fellow students and engaged in passive and sometimes not-so-passive espionage.

If anything, the Federalist has underplayed Feinstein's duplicity. She blazed the trail for the rampant corruption, which now infects both parties, when it comes to China. In a saner and more self-respecting age, quite a few MoC's and senators would be on death row for what they have done. Maybe that still can happen once their praetorian guard and fellow corruptocrats within the DOJ/FBI are permanently castrated.

Final note: read Peter Sweitzer's "Secret Empires" for a jaw-dropping primer on the subject. He and his book basically are embargoed y the media, including hunks of FOX, due to what he exposes.

Anyhow, that link opened an old wound but was still awesome. On to the others now. Thanks, JJ.

It's fraud on the other securities holders, including the people who bought from the son. Anyone knowing material non-public information may not trade on it. That prohibition applies especially seriously to company insiders, as a Director would be.

It's tough line for the SEC to defend, so they like to pick big targets when they do try to defend it. This is non-political. It's what they do.

Paper ballot.

Scantronned into the machine,

Ballot retained in locked and sealed ballot box.

At the end of the night the two redundant memory sticks are removed from under seal, verified by a judge from each of the two major parties.

Ballots, under seal and memory sticks are physically delivered to the collection point.

An entire county wide recount only changed the total by three votes.

Of course I can't talk to the integrity of the mail in votes.

THAT is open for rampant abuse.

Classic Clausewitz:

It's not about making your enemy cease to exist.

it's about making him lose the will (or ability) to fight.

The Atlantic, based on these two data points at least:

1) Can't continue being 100% batshit all the time
2) Won't continue being 100% batshit all the time

Either way is fine with me.

Speaking of jokes, I used to run with a running club, Team Utopia. It was named after a strip club in Las Vegas after a drunken misadventure that we can barely remember.

I ran the New York City Marathon the weekend after Barack Obama was elected back in 2008. All of the liberals (especially women) on the running route loved the name on my running shirt, thinking it was a statement about Obama and the coming age of Utopia.

I just smiled knowing it was about a strip club.

291 Interesting article on the growing job trend of "no experience necessary".

It's a welcome change. For years credentialism has crept more and more toward just being protectionism for certain job sectors.

It also serves as racket to drive people into colleges and universities, where well over half the time is spent listening to pony-tailed soibois and cat-ladies explain their optimal societal views to you, when all you really want is that paper to get a job you are after. It's pretty much the same scheme that cable/dish companies use: You want the sports channel? Well it's bundled right here with the gay network, the Oprah network and BET.

The same goes for college. You want your engineering degree? It's bundled right here with Sociology, European Literature and African-American Women's Studies.

And it's done for the same reasons, basically because if you didn't have to take a bunch of narrowed electives, you wouldn't. Then cat-lady and Latte-Boy would be out of work. So they create a false cannon of what you have to take.

I'm really happy that here in Tennessee, the state has pushed programs to get high school kids technical/vocational training straight out of high school rather then try to shepherd them into the 4 year indoctrination camps.

Today, 84 years after Sinclair's defeat, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a 28-year-old politician from New York City, is riding a new wave of Democratic Socialism toward a congressional seat. Not only did she vanquish a prominent incumbent, Joe Crowley, someone the Democrats were counting on to lead the opposition against President Trump and the Republicans, but she did so while espousing an unabashed socialist agenda, including calling for Medicare for all and free college tuition.

I did some interviews this week and I talked to my boss afterwards.

We ended up going with the most poised and obviously together of the three candidates (he also had some direct experience that aligned very well with the responsibilities of the position), but I threw my hands up near the end of the discussion and said, "I would take a high school dropout who has decent reasoning and pattern recognition skills."

He, of course, agreed.

However, we weren't allowed to make the job description read as requiring less than a 4 year degree. Orders from on high and from HR.

I remember it being, according to More's letters to Erasmus, as "No Place."

But, you don't need the breakdown of the word to realize that the vision isn't supposed to work. There are contradictions throughout the description of the place that practically scream to the reader that the idea of a perfect society shouldn't be taken seriously.

The idea that Russian Communists put Thomas More into some statues as a leading thinker both saddens me and makes me laugh at the same time.

343 Both of us have had cancer twice. But this latest mess that wifey had was surgery not to remove cancer, but to remove the scar tissue buildup in her throat from previous surgeries.

My latest bout was a "whipple procedure" due to cancer at the exit of the stomach. Only two hospitals on the east coast will do those as it is a very complicated procedure. MUSC in Charleston luckily will do them. The other hospital that does them is in NY. The next closest hospital is in TX.

I'm sure the insurance company just loves us.

Suddenly I'm reminded of a little story.

I worked the polls in 2012, taking people's information and showing them how to work the machines.

One of the people I helped was an old black lady who, after I had gotten the machine ready, demanded, "I want to vote for Obama."

I showed her where Obama's name was and she pressed the corresponding button.

She then proceeded to walk away from the console, and I had to submit the ballot for her.

Do you think she voted in 2014? or 2016? Do you think she'll vote in 2018?

Well, I am fully aware that my job field (bar and restaurant management) is not one that requires significant technical training out of its employees.

With that said, in general, when I hire, I hire an individual, not a resume. In fact, frankly I'd rather hire someone I can teach to do the job rather than someone with experience that I must first untrain and then retrain.

Experience is a mixed bag of nuts.

The "miracle" involves separating them from the grasp of the Wilpon crime family. They have spent the last 10 years destroying the franchise. Possibly intentionally in the wake of being taken by Bernie Madoff who made off with quite a bit of their money.

Tax dodge? Peut-etre. But they are the sole reason they have been horrendous for 10 years now.

375 Speaking of jokes, I used to run with a running club, Team Utopia.

Morgan Freeman narrates:
The young ladies were ecstatic about the coming age of Utopia.

This was not to be.

That self aggrandizement press of DiFi gave Richard Rameriz the heads up he needed to leave SanFran & head to LA, where he altered his MO, and brutally assaulted again. How DiFi got elected after that stunt is truly mind bending.
