Brief Update On a New (Get This!) Reference from the Unfunny Flopsweat Artiste Jonah Goldberg

A commenter said that, whatever you want to say about Goldberg's musty, roboticaly-repeated references, at least they weren't as bad as the Game of Thrones references other unfunny idiots make all damn Twitter-Day.

Well, since I posted about his terrible unfunny references, guess what he referenced?

For those of you who don't know: "The Rains of Castamere" is a song that is sung within the world of Game of Thrones. He's also referencing the Red Wedding, one of those references that everyone gets, even people who don't watch the show, just because jagoffs like this won't stop talking about it on Twitter every other day.

Now, I'll let this sit while I put up a real post.

Hey do you guys remember SOFT ROCK?!?!!

small, influence with him. Nope. He likes to liken himself to Jay Nock

destroy, they first make proud."

I have always thought that some kind of red wave was possible, and still do. Probably would require something particularly sweet to transpire between Labor Day and election day (Mega-Scandal indictments? Iranian regime collapse? Chinese trade cave-in? Even more economic winning?).

Though due to the way these things work, best chance for a red wave is the Senate. 5 seats everyone talks about, plus FL and MI and possibly another I can't think of, and one or two jaw-droppers like NJ.

My intro was Robotech where, unlike the aforementioned GI Joe cartoons, people were being killed left and right--including main characters. My mind was blown when I first saw the commercials for it. "F-14s in space?! Fuckin' awesome! Hey, why do they all look like 'Jetfire'?"

115 MBunge, Goldberg isn't stupid or ignorant - Iglesias is both, obviously. He literally doesn't know or understand much about any serious subject, like most Beltway journalists. So Goldberg carries the heavier moral burden, knowing better, but still carping and indulging ridiculous distortions instead of enjoying/supporting/helping/fretting over the greatest positive news in decades.

307 The old GIJoe cartoon was BETTER than i remembered. First two seasons only. Pretty funny.

The new Netflix Voltron is pretty good. I read that Shiro is gay; I missed that. I also don't care. Glad they didn't hit the audience over the head with it.

I think Jonah caved to peer pressure and wants the job Kevin Williamson lost.

308 No. Modern neuroscience has allowed me to excise all memories of 'soft rock'.

309 You know. I make unfunny "jokes" all day long.

To myself. In my head.

Why do some people think any of that shit is worth sharing? Especially with millions of people?

Twitter forces people to comment on stuff - and sooner or later they just run out of clever shit to say. yet they keep talking.

310 You know how a band has a first album? And that album rocks the house - every song is gold?

Then the second album comes out and...meh.

You know why that is? because the first album they literally worked on for years - playing live, trying different arrangements. the second, they went back to the studio and said - what have we got left? B-sides and stuff we haven't worked on that much. Kinda half baked "songs" we are going to desperately try and work up into something...

Jonah is nothing but B-sides at this point....

311 You know, at this point with the Nevertrumpers, it comes down to just one thing.

Trump didn't listen to them, and accomplished a bunch of stuff they have failed at for years.

Which is, you know, embarrassing and shit.

BUT. If he fails, spectacularly, then they can say "Tut tut - we told you so..."

And the longer this goes on, where he succeeds and they are proven wrong, the more they dig in. At this point they are fully committed to being proven "right", such they no longer even care about winning at anything else.

312 "289 Isn't yacht rock basically just any song that had Michael McDonald on featured vocals?"

NO. He did some great work with Little Feat, and with Steely Dan as well.

And DON'T YOU DARE characterize Steely Dan as "yacht rock." Well, except for "FM."

313 Jonah can feel superior all he wants, but all Trump has to say is, Scoreboard!

314 Hey, Ace? Love you like a brother, but NO MO JONAH...kay?
