Mueller Subpeonas... A NYC Madame Who Might be Connected to Roger Stone?

Was Mueller given authority to investigate a specific defined matter, or has he illegally been granted authority to investigate the Deep State's enemies for any possible crime until it finds one?

Seems like the latter.

33 As long as RosenRosen has the power to endlessly change the charter for Meuller's job, he can investigate anything he wants. Forever. He's already changed it several times to "broaden the scope of the investigation" which is how he's looking into taxi medallion scams 20 years ago. Nothing whatsoever to do with Russia collusion or electoral influence.

35 Gahhh I just don't know.

Earlier today I was thinking you know, maybe there is something to all of this being hidden and one day we are going to wake up and the whole of the DeepState is going to be in orange jumpsuits.

And then crap like this. And the leak of the Cohen tape. And Podesta immunity....

And instead of wanting Sessions to wake the fuck up, I want Trump to call him in the office, give him a fancy military style jacket for Atty General, then rip the epaulets off, turn him around, and kick his ass out the door, call up Cocaine Mitch and say take a break here, cowboy, and recess appoint Judge Janeen.

Posted by: blaster at July 20, 2018 06:35 PM (DH5wZ)

36 But not everyone agrees with that open-ended authority.

uring a two-and-a-half hour hearing in one of Mueller's criminal cases
against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, U.S. District
Judge Amy Berman Jackson questioned whether Deputy Attorney General Rod
Rosenstein's directive appointing Mueller granted him more authority
than Justice Department regulations appear to permit.

IOW Rosencrab exceeded his authority in giving Mueller open-ended authority.

I hope the Repubs do well next November, after which Trump can fire Mueller, fire Rosenstein and declassify whatever he finds that will embarrass as many of our enemies as possible. Oh, and issue pardons to Manafort and Flynn and the rest.

53 Mueller is trying to flip someone, anyone, to get to Trump.

And ostensibly, I think that's the justification Rosenrosen gives for his ever-lengthening leash on Meuller: this might be connected in some tangential way if we can get a flip.

But there's nothing to flip on. There's no crime, there's no there, there. They can't flip on Trump, and nobody will flip on Trump, because there is nothing to flip about.

And even if that was a valid concept, Meuller should turn over the case to the FBI and they handle it while he stays on the job his office was set up to do, not handle it himself with his special Skwad

I sure do.

That's how they see the whole lot of us. Targets. Doesn't matter to them if it's lawfare or warfare, we're just targets in their view.

But, they're a Civilian Law Enforcement organization.

Few million pissed off Vets with Two Way Range experience MIGHT JUST OBJECT a wee bit to being viewed as targets.

And hence, return the favor.

Won't be no lawfare they're sending downrange, either.

Lesson learned was the Bundy Ranch confrontation, and the refusal by armed Citizens to back down, even an inch.

*break*

Though pretty far gone into nutzville, at his finest (and he really WAS at his finest, then), Glenn Beck, in his "Blackboard Days" had no equal in explaining the complexities of what we'd now call the Deep State, to the average LIV viewer.

Glenn could do us all a solid, and reprise the Blackboard Days, but now to illustrate the entire sordid Never-Trump saga, all the way back to the earliest, murky pre-Dossier schemes, and on forward to the present.

Truthfully, he was a master of that craft, and would be of immense value doing the same, now.

And things are going on behind the scenes, as they should. I think more is going on than we know of and this stuff takes time.

My complaint is he's behind the scenes and he's supposed to be a public figure. He's supposed to be in charge. He's supposed to be the face of what is happening and directing it all. I wouldn't mind sessions as a number two guy, to get things done and work, but we need a guy who is in front of cameras selling the work and who hammers the agencies to get things done.

None of this "gosh guys could you send that stuff to congress you're legally obligated to, I mean, you know, soon if you can? Soonish?" You call them to the office, you stand them there on the carpet and you say "you have until midnight today to get that to congress or you are facing not only criminal charges but loss of work and your pension."

None of this hands off crap, that is not his job.

131 Not sure what the strategy is here, or if there is one.
Maybe Trump starts ordering the stonewalled documents start getting unredacted and released starting late August/early September every two weeks or so. That may preempt or defang any October Surprise by Mueller. Then, keep the Senate (or gain) and (hopefully) keep the House for the Mid-Terms. Talk about flexibility after an election.

151 This has become a disgusting game of Six Degrees of Separation from Trump.

I believe Mueller's supposed "cover" to punish his enemies through the weight of The State is that if his next target could flip on someone who could then flip on DJT then it's all "legit."

Of course, the central fallacy behind this is that DJT is not the legitimate subject of a Special Counsel investigation at all, except in the context of a valid mandate from Congress, as to DJT's supposed "collusion" with Russia.

Itself, I don't think that even such a "mandate" should survive Constitutional scrutiny, but even that loose definition of what is legitimate is entirely ignored if "A" can flip on "B" who can flip on Trump becomes the standard.

And, of course, if you are talking multiple degrees of remove from even a supposed "target" (aside from the need to relate it to supposed "collusion" WTF that means) then as a practical matter your ambit is the friends of friends + friends of family + family of one-time business associates, i.e. the ability to prosecute, threaten, subpoena anyone and everyone he wants with some vague connection to anyone who's ever run into DJT.

This is like Columbian organized crime killing all members of an enemy's family to send a message and enforce terror.

Between the FISA BS /weaponizing our intelligence against enemies of the DNC, the wholesale leaking of investigations and surveillance (themselves unlawfully obtained) to smear and intimidate the Trump campaign and administration, the illegal unmasking to the same effect, the baseless and abusive prosecution, the selective prosecution of anyone connected to DJT for manufactured "process" crimes, the blatant exoneration of a clearly felonious Lady Hillary....

I am just gobsmacked at the in-your-face tyrannical, un Constitutional, shameless abuse of power and exercise of what amounts to a police state by the DNC, Hillary and their cronies.

To borrow a phrase from the XVIIIth century, this is simply "intolerable." I will shut up now in the interests of viewer discretion.

I haven't proceeded one micron past the Clinton/State Dept. crime-wave obstruction of justice/lack of prosecutions.

The IG investigation, to me, seems almost pointless. If not a continuation of the lawlessness.

Unprecedented, spectacular, completely documented, undeniable, systematic, years-long violations of the Espionage Act (and Federal Records Act) occurred, at the top of one of the national security departments. Period. No contesting this.

And .... zero prosecutions. And ..... the IG concludes that "investigative judgements" were defensible??!!!! Sorry - this is not a case of minor procedural issues. We have an Everest of unprecedented crimes, beyond dispute, sitting there - and we have a DOJ/FBI that failed to do anything about it. One of the biggest failures, and/or criminal acts, by DOJ/FBI in their histories.

If the IG process doesn't include the ability/mission to at least confirm the basic problem of a situation, then its value is quite dubious.

295 A close observer of Gaza/Hezbollah etc. on the twatters notes that with major festivities in Gaza, Fatah (PLO) and Hamas can avoid saying "no" to the lame US "peace plan", as it will obviously be a non-starter in the circumstances.

I say "lame" because FFS, there is no substantive or political prospect or benefit to *any* peace plan from outside, there is no substantive or political penalty to *not* engaging in that idiotic kabuki any longer.

Trump should take the brief period when Dubya was so p'od at the Paleostinians (the Karine A arms ship incident) that he let his common sense assert itself, and openly dissed the Paleos and made no gesture of even fake interest in "peace" b.s. - and make it his baseline.

I was quite disappointed to see that even the Trump admin., which has gloriously earned the right to, at long last, cease some the most idiotic, pernicious, and indefensible rituals of US foreign policy, still insisted on engaging in what has arguably been the worst kind, MidEast "peace plans".

300 Mueller: Are you a Republican or have you ever in your life done something to assist a republican?

Subject: uhhh, I guess?

Mueller: Can you point to the general region of this map that contains Russia? It's ok, you can take all the tries you need.

Subject: uhhhh here?

Mueller: So you admit it! You helped Trump collude with the Russians to steal the 2016 election! We have got you dead to rights! But....your answers were a little slow, so we will let you plead guilty to obstructing justice and you can serve 1 year, or we will investigate your entire life, your families lives, your employers, your acquaintances....you will all need lawyers, it will cost you each tens of thousands...or you could plead. Your choice.

Headline: Mueller collusion probe guilty plea! One step closer to Trump!!!!

301 avi - absolutely not, Mueller is not Einsatzgruppen commander material. I mean intellectual and academic "credentials" - which Heydrich prized in these monsters. So, oddly, no, ol' Bob would more likely be a subordinate. He's more educated than the first generation of SS or Gestapo types, but markedly below the typical later leaders in some respects. He's actually a much better fit for his namesake, head of the Gestapo, who like Mueller was professional law enforcement (not even a Nazi) before ..... um, before becoming something else.

Sorry for the delayed answer. Cooking for my bride.

In the County Fair the local TEA Party group puts up 2 pop-up canopies. 10' by 10' and 7 feet high. We anchor them well over grass we had mowed and sprayed to kill chiggers. These are on the main drag of the fair near the entrance.

One canopy covers tables with TEA party information. Books like the 5000-year Leap ready to any buyer, T-shirts, etc.

The other canopy contains information on our Constitution Bee (coming son in March). We have pocket Constitutions, with the Declaration of Independence in the handout. And questions on the Constitution. Answer the question, and win a small prize. We hand out the Constitution to anyone we can.

We had frozen kool-aid, but the Anti-TEA party officials made us drop food prizes unless we paid a lot more for our spot. We have lots of stories on those guys.

Groups of college students, thinking we are stupid, try and trip us up. They usually sent their "best debater" to argue with us. I love those discussions.

So it's not really a tent. It's open on all sides, but we have a wall to our back, so no bike-lock guy can sneak in. The local gang mans the booths, and we have wide-ranging discussions on many topics, just like here.

Been doing it for 7 years already.

308 When Mueller ran the FBI, did he give drug kingpins immunity if they ratted out their street dealers? Did he give the Gotti immunity in exchange for testimony against one of his lieutenants? So many people spent their lives bowing to the altar of Clinton. They were expecting to wield so much power, and to some extent they still do. It is time to call the mueller investigation what it is and fire him. Put an end to this nonsense.

There is a unicode conversion chart where if you type the correct ampersands and #s and numbers you get your Umlauts, but it's a nuisance.

I use the international English keyboard and type Umlauts as second nature, I do with Pixy would become Umlaut-compliant.

It's the only upgrade I want here.

But none of that has happened.
