Trump has zero base of support in the LE and IC apparatus to effect any sort of house cleaning.
I just don't see why people don't realize just how monumental what Trump did today was. We had a President of the US, rightly so, take the word of ostensibly our main Geo-politcal foe's word over the word of his IC and LE apparatus. That is an earth shattering development that will have far ranging repercussions. Remember what Schumer said to Trump, "Be careful, the IC has a hundred different ways to get back at you." That was not an idle threat but a foreshadowing. Posted by: Kreplach at July 16, 2018 08:20 PM (UfMVm) 30

We have indisputable proof that the Clinton campaign produced a fake dossier, which was "discovered" by FBI/DOJ and used to start a 'collusion' investigation on Trump for working with Russians.
That has lasted for a year and a half, FBI "lost" the DNC server (actually never demanded obtaining it), completely exonerated Hillary, and was satisfied with a 3rd party conclusion that it was hacked by "the Russians". That company failed to properly clean the server. Now Trump is being blasted for not knowing who is lying about the "hacking" scandal. I truly believe that Trump does not know who to trust. First Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Accord Agreement. Then he remade the EPA and rescindedenough regulations to open the US up to energy production. THE US IS NOW #1 IN WORLDWIDE ENERGY PRODUCTION... think about it.... So Trump went to the NATO conference and told Merkel she needs to step up on her NATO payments and she is counter productive for buying 70% of Germany's energy fuels from RUSSIA.. Trump them tole Vlad to his face that he will be in direct competition with Russia in the European energy markets. It was called The Obama Administration. Posted by: garrett at July 16, 2018 08:55 PM (6npwy) Damn straight. And most everybody on the right was scared shitless to even say anything about it. Barky was a the worst criminal to ever occupy the Oval Office, the only actual America-hater to be there and the dipshit was never even eligible to be there in the first place. But he was treated with kid gloves ... instead of being impeached, tossed out of office (or just impeached over and over again for the many crimes he committed in office) and then criminally prosecuted. It was infuriating. But the left has no problem, at all, going after Trump for stuff that was made up out of whole cloth (and stuff that Barky and his junta regularly did). They don't fear going after Trump for stuff that leftists in the government did and made up. They don't care. And they won't lose a single vote because of it, either. That should be a lesson to the girlymen in the GOP. George W. refused to go after journalists who were actually divulging national security secrets and giving aid and comfort to AL Quadea ... but Barky didn't have a problem labeling James Rosen from Fox a "spy" for investigating the criminal behavior of Bary's junta and siccing the arms of government on him. It didn't hurt Barky or the Dems, at all. Posted by: ThePrimordialOrderedPair at July 16, 2018 09:05 PM (7jE3W) 337

Posted by: Charlie at July 16, 2018 08:56 PM (0QYMt) It's not, and in fact the tipping point happened in 2016. Posted by: Sphynx at July 16, 2018 08:45 PM (rXie1) There aren't that many that actually play the game. The low level leaders are like Phillipe Reines. They play lets-you-and-him-fight. The street theater is done by the unemployed, college students, other people that don't have to work for a living and don't mind taking money for dressing like satanic cross dressers, or purple haired land whales out for a night away from the cats. The media shows up, setting up shots that make it look like the protestors are an army, although they are actually like the video of Iraqis pulling down Saddam's statue. Hardly any one there, but staged to look like a spontaneous mass demonstration. Repeat these clips for a few weeks, make them part of the historical record, and on to the next false flag operation. Kind of sad, but sort of expected.
A not-stupid and not-NT'er like Byron York, of course, is upset about Trump's handling of the "Russian interference" questions (in public, anyway) today. Earth to Byron: the Russian attempts at "interference" were pathetic, immaterial, SOP, boring, stupid, and a shadow of what we, they, and others have done since WWII in this regard. Duh. Simply cannot comprehend any of the "outrage!" over stupid Russian vandalism efforts of this trivial variety. In the vanishingly small and decreasing instances where Russian behavior is of any concern to the US, then sure, gin up the anger for their stupid vandalism. But this is ridiculous, and trivial. He actually goes to the length, to his credit, of observing that Trump is justified in dumping on the "get Trump" scandalous behavior of US LE/IC concerning the 2016 election - but says he should distinguish that from the Russian interference part. Quadruple meh, Byron. It's simply not important. But I AM curious about the current pic on Byron's twatters. Clearly a Great Patriotic War statue (Russia!!) he's posing next to. They're very close to the big move and no doubt have discussed assassination and military rule at length. The FBI has needed to be shuttered for decades. Thinking about Assata Shakur on her 71st birthday. She wrote the second book that changed (and saved) my life. She taught me about the value and power of Freedom Dreams. She showed me the beauty of struggle. And she proved that "a wall is just a wall. and nothing more at all. It can be broken down." I pray for her continued safety and protection. I continue to work to demonstrate her innocence. And I implore the State to stop prosecuting an unjust and unfair campaign against one of our most treasured Freedom Fighters. Thank you Mama Assata. Sure to be willowed by the ONT, but the northeast coast of Brazil is one of the nicest areas I've seen.
Nowadays, alas, the crime/violence situation has completely, completely changed (in the cities), but back when I spent quite a bit of time there, it was a magically nice and quiet area. Nope. https://ehs.princeton.edu/book/export/html/529 Posted by: Off the reservation at July 16, 2018 10:05 PM (vWMNq) Half of the reagents in a synthetic chem lab are pyrophoric, which is why they're handled on Schlenk lines (double manifolds, one vacuum, one inert gas) and transferred by syringe or cannula. The particle size is a crucial factor in determining pyrophoricity of metals, because of the surface area/volume ratio. Even relatively inert metals - such as lead - are pyrophoric when extremely finely divided, because the initial surface oxidation generates enough heat to ignite the rest of the particle. That's not true of the bulk metal, because the surface where oxidation takes place is such a small fraction of the total material. I watched an interview of Putin by Charlie Rose. It
was interesting at the time, as I found myself agreeing more with Putin than with the folks in charge of our government. Posted by: notsothoreau at July 16, 2018 09:51 PM (JKNZq) I have watched some of his interviews with subtitles, and he is a rather measured speaker, and is very literate. In one he quoted Pushkin, I think. Of course, the art of being interviewed is to only talk about what you want to disclose and hide everything else and keep anyone from realizing that until it is too late, but he seemed rather adept at it. 665 Laura Ingraham is full of shit.
Posted by: dyno-elite canned hate at July 16, 2018 10:06 PM (/TNyL) Let me guess: President Trump needs to do blah blah blah in order to fix what he said. If that's what happened, Newt Gringrich was on Twitter saying the same thing. Any wonder we've been losing? QUIT. FUCKING. APOLOGIZING. For God's sake why is this so hard to learn? Most of these people aren't dumb. Haven't they figured out it's just one media freak out induced bubble after another. Just hold your mud and move forward for fuck's sake. They'll move on to something else. Same thing goes for corporations. You know, you always hear about how all these smaht people make lots of money because they have long time horizons and shit, but they sure as hell don't act like it. It's like every second of the present is an eternity or something. Posted by: Dack Thrombosis at July 16, 2018 10:12 PM (4ErVI) 688

Stockholm Syndrome more or less. We are rapidly transitioning from the Old Guard Buckleyites to a New Right, and seeing Ingraham's Lovie Howell act is a nightly reminder of how much that crew held us back.
