This is why I think Trump said that he disagreed with the IC assessment, that there was no reason for Putin to meddle. The usuals can continue to make the allegations, but Trump is setting them up for a "put up or shut up" moment.
Since Trump (in my experience) does not set these sorts of things up if he isn't certain to win them, then I believe that he knows they can never prove the allegations because he actually has proof* of the opposite. Now, I cannot prove any of that speculation - and I try to keep that in mind - but it is fun to consider.

Tax cuts (temporary) are the only big exception where something important requiring congressional action, actually happened. Impeachment's a non-starter. And as I pointed out, it's completely superfluous. The "resistance" is one blue wave mid-term from neutering Trump to a great degree, and meanwhile Dems and GOP have *already* stymied most of Trump's key agenda items.
That blue wave is extremely unlikely to happen, significant chance of a red wave instead. But that's where the action is.

The base Left will want the Democratic House to go whole hog no matter what.
They'll want Trump held in the same breath as Andrew Johnson at the very least. There will also be many opinion pieces written about how, surely, the Senate has the numbers to convict even though it will literally never happen with the GOP in control unless Trump actually does something that the general public considers to be worthy of impeachment.

They will. Given the level of unhinged psychopathology, there is something huge here. At a minimum it involves domestic criminality, perhaps the murder of Seth Rich. There is little doubt Soros and the Gang invested a fortune in Hillary to conduct a proxy war against Russia.
