I think that happens on days ending in "y." Someone is always on Twitter screaming at their mom about chicken tendies. Situation normal, or at least not any more abnormal than usual.

13 This is fun. They just set up the "Prove it." Now these frustrated little beggars will have to wait for Chief-Inspector Mueller to come up with proof. And I will bet my bottom dollar that Trump *knows* there is no proof of anything and if Mueller tries to manufacture it Trump will have the info to counter it.

Then, as with the alien in "Men in Black," their heads would grow back one minute later.

And then Trump would say something else 15 minutes later, and BOOM press the button again for another head-explosion.

This would convey their feelings more concisely than endlessly trying to use tangled word to explain their cognitive dissonance.

46 Keep in mind that Mueller's indictment specifies that the Russkies spent a whopping $95k in Bitcoin to set up these little 'interference' operations.

Hillary probably spent more than $95k on Depends in campaign cash. But she did funnel over $7 million to Perkins Coie which was used in part to fund the Steele 'dossier' of lies. From Russkie sources, no less.

And Nunes has stated plainly that the Russkies targeted Repubs as well as Dems with their spear phishing; apparently Rs aren't so easily duped into giving out their passwords.

And so it goes.

Did he accuse him of trying to take over the world? Did he harp on his human rights abuses? No. That's not what summits are for. You meet with the other side's top guy and talk things over calmly, even if your two nations are politically opposed.

Trump's entire philosophy is to foster "personal relationships" with EVERYONE, friend and foe alike. This is what works in business. And he's proving that it works in politics as well.

That is probably a fear that many in the Deep State have - that Trump actually has access to this stuff and can deploy it any time.

Back when I had one of those job thingys in a machine shop, we used this stuff called High-Spot Blue. We used it on sliding mechanisms to see where they might stick so we could hone that area for a smooth fit. It's like the stickiest grease you can imagine with raw printing ink in it. Once you get it on your skin, it takes a lot of effort, soap and multiple washings to get it off of you.

Naturally, one of the biggest pranks we'd pull was to put a small amount of it somewhere where you'd get it on you, but wouldn't notice until way later after you'd inadvertently spread it everywhere, since everything in the shop was a little bit greasy anyway.

Anyway, the payback was what was the most fun. You'd discover who'd put that stuff on you and you'd get them back, but they never knew when, where or how you'd do it. I'd stretch that out for weeks. Watching my intended target check everything around him for traces of HSB during that time was the bestest part.

Drove them nuts after a while, then they gave up looking. Then, Surprise! Gotcha...

The rest of his feed, though - SWEET FUCK. The tweets and retweets - unironically endorsing Vox stating that the new indictments should shut down any Seth Rich claims... despite those indictments being mostly a retread of this spring and with no fresh evidence past Crowdstrike. Helpful retweets that WE KNOW that Trump was colluding because he had "three known Russian cutouts in his campaign" (meaning I assume Papadapolous, Manafort and Page - DURR), and stating that Trump had directed the collusion openly to avoid being on the record doing anything under the table. That the DNC hack which happened before Trump's joke about Hillary emails was directed by Trump joking about Hillary's emails... which were already offline.

Hey, asshammers: If a ludicrous accusation not only depends on fanciful interpretations of those involved, claims that demonstrated bad actors are trustworthy, and depends on the absence of evidence being evidence of absence - conspiritorially! - it is YOU who are the deranged conspiracy theorists. Not the Seth Rich guys.

344 So then what was the purpose of the indictments Muller you piece of shit??"

I think it's Andy McCarthy (ex prosecutor) who has a piece out explaining why the nature of the indictments guarantees that there will never be any trial and none of the "evidence" will ever be released to the public.

Since these are all foreign nationals, from a nation that we no not have any extradition treaty with, the only way to have ever successfully arrested them would have been to issue secret indictments, then wait until they traveled to a more friendly country or to the US itself, at which point the indicment could have been unsealed and the defendant arrested. That's how it would have been done if they were serious about it.

But by making them public, now all of these men are on their guard, and they will not leave a safe jurisdiction. So no arrests. No arrests, no trials. And here's the best part - as long as there are not trials, Mueller can demand that all of the evidence stay secret, to defend the possibility of any potential trial, which he knows will never actually happen.

So Mueller has just permanently hidden perhaps all of the work he has done since this started.

Acknolwedging 2 does not cancel 1.

Posted by: Benji Carver at July 16, 2018 01:49 PM (OD2ni)

2) Russia interfered with our elections in 2016
3) Russia has an entire department of hackers trying to break into US official computers, all day long
4) Vladimir Putin is a very bad guy in charge of a criminal cartel running a nation

That stuff is absolutely true.

Its also true that they aren't very successful at their hacking (unless someone puts up a private server in their bathroom and run classified documents through it), their ads had no effect on the election and were absurd, and that Russia is not our enemy, not at war with us, and not the most evil place on earth.

Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at July 16, 2018 01:49 PM (39g3+)

375 So, let's see: Trump says:
(i) "Putin was powerful in his denials." Well, so was Stalin, I guess. We knew Putin would be, so what's the big deal here?
(ii) "Putin would have no reason to meddle in the elections." Again - true. He doesn't say Putin didn't do it; he just says there would be no reason for it, and how is that wrong? Trump won without Putin's "meddling"; even Rosenputz admits the new indictments do not allege any impact on the election. And Putin would have been much better off with Hillary as President - she was a guaranteed continuation of the "do nothing" policies of the previous administrations.

(iii) "I blame the US for current poor relations." Again - nothing new here. Nothing incorrect, either. Both Bush and O'Bozo screwed the pooch on US-Russian relations. O'Bozo, in particular, allowed the meddling to occur despite knowing about it. And neither Bush nor O'Bozo took the necessary hard line with Putin.
Why don't people think about the content of what Trump says, instead of knee-jerking all the time?

Tempests. Teapots. Bovine scatology.

These questions have no answer, because the premise behind each question is risible.

Posted by: Deplorable Jay Guevara, now with a spark of divinity at July 16, 2018 01:53 PM (YqDXo)

405 To get inside the heads of these fucks - posit the following:

Putin must (they believe), at any tete-a-tete with the US, be called to answer for international misconduct. The suggested most recent misconducts are: poisoning in the UK, involvement in Syria, invasion of Crimea, threatening and persecuting journalists, and unspecified "hacking the election".

It is demonstrated that any effect on the US election was minimal, other than vaguely-possibly-according-to-Mueller disaffecting some Bernie Bros, unless one assumes the bailey of the mott and bailey that "PUTIN CONTROLS TRUMP ZOMG". But - any amount is unconscionable, because Trump happened. QED.

Therefore, their questions are to that end. Any and all questions must hinge on Putin's greatest crime: Trump.

Do you get that? Getting Trump elected, therefore, is in their worldview the greatest possible war crime, and greater than any fellow feeling for other journalists, concern for their own safety, or the deaths of thousands.

"They hate you and want you dead" isn't strong enough for that level of derangement.

Well, nations always meddle with the US elections because the US is so powerful its in their best interest to influence the outcome. They backed both Hillary and Trump (in really lame ads that influenced no one) because they wanted people to fight. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at July 16, 2018 01:43 PM (39g3+)

Yeah, the Russians have always been let's just say, "opportunistic". I used to say the same about them during the Cold War and got called a lefty (once) because I should have said they had a clear plan of world domination full stop. Studying the history made it clear that the latter was not the case but the former was correct. The Russians/Soviets would always stick their thumb in our eye during the CW if there was an opportunity. We kind of did the same, ie. Afghanistan.

What I question is if the left really cares about "Russian Interference". I mean, would they care if Russia interfered and Hillary won? Would they care if the interference was to stop Republicans? Or are they just angry they lost and need an excuse?

I think with some there is some spurned lover stuff going on. The Repubs are the party of "tear down this wall!". The Dems are the party of "gosh, that movie Reds was just the best ever!". It was Bernie that honeymooned in Moscow right? It was Bill who went to the Soviet Union on vacation during the Vietnam era. Was it not the left that cheered Russian opposition to the Iraq War? Did Obama not chastise Romney for declaring Russia a threat by saying, "the eighties called, they want their foreign policy back"?

493 @373

There is no compelling evidence, or evidence at all put forward that Russia did anything to materially effect the election.

I have looked at both intel reports, I have looked at the CSV meta data file that the IC community released as supporting evidence, I have looked at the Senate Intel committee report, I have pretty much looked at everything I could find and there is simply nothing there to support such a conclusion.

There is however adequate direct and evidence circumstantial evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the IC and LE apparatus under Obama was politicized and weaponized to exonerate Hillary Clinton and Destroy Donald Trump before and after the election.

But we are left with a serious issue that still needs to be resolved and quickly....

Broadly speaking, our LE, IC and political bodies have coalesced and taken as gospel that Russia materially interfered in our election and this interference aided the current President.

The current President has pretty much with this press conference rejected the assessments of his LE and IC community and taken the word of a foreign leader.

Now I agree with Trumps assessment and the LE and IC have been corrupted and weaponized.

But...

THAT.

IS.

A.

HUGE.

PROBLEM.

So then what was the purpose of the indictments Muller you piece of shit??"

I think it's Andy McCarthy (ex prosecutor) who has a piece out
explaining why the nature of the indictments guarantees that there will
never be any trial and none of the "evidence" will ever be released to
the public.

Since these are all foreign nationals, from a nation that we no not
have any extradition treaty with, the only way to have ever successfully
arrested them would have been to issue secret indictments, then wait
until they traveled to a more friendly country or to the US itself, at
which point the indicment could have been unsealed and the defendant
arrested. That's how it would have been done if they were serious about
it.

But by making them public, now all of these men are on their guard,
and they will not leave a safe jurisdiction. So no arrests. No
arrests, no trials. And here's the best part - as long as there are not
trials, Mueller can demand that all of the evidence stay secret, to
defend the possibility of any potential trial, which he knows will never
actually happen.

So Mueller has just permanently hidden perhaps all of the work he has done since this started.

Posted by: Tom Servo at July 16, 2018 01:46 PM (k1TUh)

I knew that Mueller was a true Cleveland Steamer, but I underestimated his shittery. That seldom happens to me.

519 The stuff about Trump's jokes about Hillary's emails--is the press never once gets right the several things he's said about the matter.

Not once do they not mangle a quote. If we can be sure that nobody hacked Hillary's server--because nevermind, you wee-weed up RWNJ. And Hillary deleted them, Trump can WISH all he wants that the Russians can FIND them, and it's like somebody wishing your house gets destroyed by Godzilla.

That's not a threat.

I found a couple quotes from Trump on Hillary's email and her server, never once did he say "hack". Trump has hoped that Russia had them, and that they could *find* them.

556 Great statement by Trump, telling the world a hard truth: because our biased FBI never looked at the DNC server we can't trust their blaming Russia.

Could have added: "Same FBI tried to rig our election and is still trying to resist democracy." Our immediate threat is internal. Produce the damned servers!

He's confronting America with our own inconvenient truths the same way he just did with NATO and England.

Whichever side is currently losing. That way he extends the time the US is off the world stage and keeps the US occupied with the war itself.

559 In all honesty, I do believe Putin preferred Trump.

Who would you rather negotiate with, an honest opponent who works for the interest of his own people (though they may run counter to your own interests at times) or a globalist that serves the interest of a greater subversive plan that might include destroying your national sovereignty, debasing your cultural heritage and bankrupting your nation with waves of immigration?

Yeah, the globalist might f*ck you with a velvet cock, but it's sodomy nonetheless.

560 Putin claims Hillary accepted $400 million in illegal Russian campaign contributions?

If this is true - and one can never trust the word of a Russian autocrat - that would be roughly a third of her entire war chest.

China will back the US leftists. There have already been preliminary meetings. The cover story was trade relations.

562 See, in order for this to work, you'd have to presume that the Russians KNEW that backing Trump would lead to the Dems going off the deep end, and that this would cause a position that makes Russia better off.

Nah, they just were pushing for both sides in an attempt to appeal to the less sane and more gullible of voters, to increase friction and harm the USA by causing chaos. They couldn't have possibly anticipated how crazy the Dems were going to be, it just was a huge bonus.

The left is, in the pretense of opposing Russia and Putin, doing everything he wants them to.

'Seditionist' is the term, I think. AKA 'Domestic enemy'.

Wiki:
In law, sedition is overt conduct, such as speech and organization, that is deemed by the legal authority to tend toward insurrection against the established order. Sedition often includes subversion of a constitution and incitement of discontent (or resistance) to lawful authority. Sedition may include any commotion, though not aimed at direct and open violence against the laws.

Me either. I can't work out his motivation. Its possible he just meant it as a slam on the deep state, who has worked overtime to earn his contempt and animosity. It could be that he was trying to be diplomatic because Putin is, you know, right there. It could even be that he really likes Pooty Poot and trusts him. I can't tell.

588 Clinton as US President could throw the entire world into Chaos.

Posted by: Don Q at July 16, 2018 02:04 PM (NgKpN)

Putin wouldn't allow that to happen. Chaos is not what Putin wants, but predictable "un-stability" is what he's after. Yes, this could be law of unintended consequences, but that's the risk he's willing to take.

Price of oil goes up, he's happy. The Russian's and Chinese are not in Velenzuela on a charity mission. Likewise for Syria. When there is uneasiness in the world, such as it is today, states like Russia take advantage. The US may, but again, no country has beaten another in war and then returned land gains as much as the US.
With Hillary, he and his cronies already had a working relationship with the Clinton gang. That foundation was already set. You can see the headlines now - Clinton forges new relationship with Russia set in motion years before.

And the thing is, all of this hacking, meddling, whatev, would have still occurred. That's why I don't get upset. It would have been portrayed as Hillary "putting it behind us." And what "meddling" did occur would have been reported as much, much less.

590 Good lord I'm tired of this stupid shit. It's like the Democrats and NeverTrumpers - but I repeat myself - don't understand that Russia is no longer the "Red Menace". They do not represent a political system bent on capturing the world. Ironically, the scourge of socialism is still going strong, but Russia isn't the ones pushing it now. Instead, it's Democrats and other idiots.

What POSSIBLE benefit can come from antagonizing a nuclear power over your dislike of Trump ? Seriously. It was literally only a few years ago Democrats were laughing at the notion that Russia was even a power player in world affairs. But now ? Now they want to puff their chests up and angle for war because they lost an election.

Shouldn't that be all the reason you need to never let another Democrat NEAR the levers of power in this country ?

Posted by: deadrody at July 16, 2018 06:42 PM (jsGbO)

591 Strozck, Brennan, Clapper, Comey - all known liars and people willing to do anything to destroy our President. Putin - a known liar who supports our President.

Why on earth would Trump trust the work of the known liars who would do anything to destroy him anymore than trust Putin?
