After researching it, Cohen was actually tweeting a young sexy model during B.O.'s 2013 SOTU address (NS) and when Propublica published Cohen's ill timed "ilu" tweet to her, Cohen quickly deleted it and claimed she was just his long lost daughter. But when that hit the press, the young sexy model's real father came forward and had a DNA test that proved Cohen was not the model's father at all. So I wasn't too off mark, Cohen is still just a lying, creepy POS.

For those wondering why this is considered Impressionism... Impressionism isn't just the blurry, sketchy pictures made famous by Monet, Impressionism is also allowing the viewer to get a sense of life in late 19th century France. Here we are given an "impression" of a more rural lifestyle. The hard work in the bright, hot sun. The lack of expensive irrigation makes the work harder and more monotonous. You have to water each plant one at a time. These might be lower-class laborers on an upper-class farm, in which case you get an "impression" of the differences in lifestyles between the classes. Or these might be members of the household caring for their food source, in which case it's an "impression" of the French agricultural life.
Either way, it's very bright and reminds me that I have to water my garden tonight. Posted by: Kris at July 17, 2018 10:01 AM (OyyDO) 165

"...I have had time and cause to reflect on what made him a great president. Ronald Reagan knew his own mind. He had firm principles - and, I believe, right ones. He expounded them clearly, he acted upon them decisively. When the world threw problems at the White House, he was not baffled, or disorientated, or overwhelmed. He knew almost instinctively what to do. When his aides were preparing option papers for his decision, they were able to cut out entire rafts of proposals that they knew 'the Old Man' would never wear. When his allies came under Soviet or domestic pressure, they could look confidently to Washington for firm leadership. And when his enemies tested American resolve, they soon discovered that his resolve was firm and unyielding. Yet his ideas, though clear, were never simplistic. He saw the many sides of truth. Yes, he warned that the Soviet Union had an insatiable drive for military power and territorial expansion; but he also sensed it was being eaten away by systemic failures impossible to reform. Yes, he did not shrink from denouncing Moscow's 'evil empire'. But he realized that a man of goodwill might nonetheless emerge from within its dark corridors. So the President resisted Soviet expansion and pressed down on Soviet weakness at every point until the day came when communism began to collapse beneath the combined weight of these pressures and its own failures. And when a man of goodwill did emerge from the ruins, President Reagan stepped forward to shake his hand and to offer sincere cooperation. Nothing was more typical of Ronald Reagan than that large-hearted magnanimity - and nothing was more American."--Margaret Thatcher

83 547 Good morning all. Willowed, from MR - JJ, I was wrong the other day about Cohen sexting his son's girlfriend, but it's still creepy.

Guy on right: See, this is how you do it. Just watch me, now. You tilt the cans so the water pours out over the cabbages. Nice and smooth, use a steady hand, don't dump it all in one place. There's an art to it. You want it to water all the cabbages in your sector evenly...

I quite like this painting. It's bright with subtle use of color but the soft scene is contained within the solid walls and careful rows. The style reminds me me somewhat of Hopper with it's distinct elements.
I looked at other of Gustave Caillebotte's works which I find interesting. There seems to be no one school of style: they range from Romantic to Impressionist to more modern (post 1900) styles. Also, I don't know what medium he preferred. Some of them could be watercolors or even pastels. 2) Trump has always had the authority to declassify and publish all the evidence of collusion. If Mueller had a shed of evidence, Trump knows it. Does Trump act like a man who is hiding? (Note well the behavior of guilty Clinton when accused--deflect, deny, evade and act stupid. ) 3) The whole hidden pursuit of Trump, the reason all good Democrats "KNOW" Russia owns Trump? My take is that if Trump answered the question about Russian election interference "correctly", they would still be acting hysterical--for having a private meeting with Putin, or for just having the summit at all. It's cabbage, so 'good carbs' with a low glycemic index. Also, cabbage has special attributes, ie anthocyanins and folic acid necessary on a paleo or low carb diet. Also replaces the bad gut bacteria eradicated in a low or no carb diet. It does have chili spice. So you might want to enjoy saurkraut or pickles instead. Or kombucha. "Economics:"Fight for $15" is the rallying cry for most Democrats these days. Re: Trump/Putin press conference.
After listening to numerous pundits, Rush, Levin, reading everything from the hysterical left to watching a bit of all the cable channels last night, I've come to the conclusion that Trump was once again set up by the Mueller/DOJ team. A joint press conference with the two would have been planned, coordinated, and details worked out weeks in advance. There is no reason not to have one, as a joint press conference being held by two adults , being asked questions by other adults, should be of world interest. Questions should have been asked regarding Syria, Crimea, oil and gas exploration, Russia's support of Iran, etc. However, that isn't what happened. IMO, Trump underestimated the child like idiocy of the press, and his ability to answer them, put them in their place, whatever. Mueller and team did not. The DOJ knew how the press would scream and howl and so they set up Trump into a corner with 1. the political theater of indicting 12 unnamed Russian agents who cannot and will not ever see a courtroom in the USA, on Friday when Trump is out of the country headed toward this summit 2. the arrest of a Russian woman legally here in the USA charging her with being a spy? or not registering as a foreign emissary? or whatever the hell it is she has supposedly done. On the same day as Trump is meeting with Putin. Trump also underestimated just exactly what Mueller is doing. Trump can complain all he wants that it's a Russian witch hunt, (which it is, in my opinion, what exactly did these Russian's do, other than possibly phish the DNC's server, easily accomplished by anyone with a bit of computer knowledge.) But it doesn't matter, because this theater yesterday was designed between Mueller and the DOJ to force Trump to either state publicly to Putin's face that our DOJ/CIA has proof that his government tried to influence the election(thereby putting it's legitimacy in questions which is what the deep state wants) or make Trump defend Putin's claims, (making Trump look weak and guilty, giving the Deep State and never trumpers all the ammo they could want) Posted by: Jen the original at July 17, 2018 10:52 AM (K8r57) 425

Can any of the Shysters...err I mean Lawyers here, comment on this? AoSHQ Shyster #6 reportin' fer dooty. I don't see how MGM could have filed its own suit against the victims, unless it was some kind of declaratory relief action. Ordinarily, the defendant would raise a defense in the victims' action and at some point, move for summary judgment. Maybe there's a federal law that limits liability of an innkeeper that would support an independent action in federal court, but I've never heard of one. On the substantive liability issue, I commented to Mrs. Cicero early on that there is a real issue here over whether an innkeeper owes any duty of care at all to people who are not its customers and are located outside of its property. If MGM had no duty toward persons who were across the street, then MGM can't be liable for negligence in contributing to the deaths. If I represented MGM, I would certainly be making that argument. Posted by: Nevergiveup at July 17, 2018 10:48 AM (Lg2h/) Well, I'm not a lawyer , but have experience with corporate lawsuits. The MGM is trying to stave off bankruptcy. They are saying they had no way of knowing or preventing the shooter from doing what he did out of their hotel window. The victims, however, have most certainly joined into class action lawsuits along with individual lawsuits to sue MGM for negligence for not having metal detectors, screening for weapons, blah blah. All they need to do is end up at trial with a jury who will decide that MGM is responsible and because they have a lot of assets, should be fleeced out of billions for these victims, and there you have it. Johnson and Johnson last week were found guilty by a jury of selling baby powder with asbestos in it(no proof, just a claim regarding talc being similar to asbestos) that women used on their crotch, who then claim (again, there is zero scientific proof of this) that it worked it's way into their uterus, up the fallopian tubes and into their ovaries where it caused ovarian cancer( no proof) and proceeded to award 22 women in the suit with 4.2 BILLION dollars. Of course , Johnson and Johnson are going to appeal this, but meanwhile, they are paying millions to lawyers to fight it. All you need are 12 people on jury with zero medical or research knowledge who you convince that the big bad drug company ignored the non existent warnings about talcum powder, and should be punished and because they are a big company, they can afford to pay out virtually all of their assets. I'm probably mistaken because what do I know, but I believe the Tsar and the King were closely related. They even looked alike.
Read 'Fall of the House of Hapsburg'. All those european gentry were related back in the day. And they intermarried a lot. And had stupid offspring as a result. Posted by: DanMan at July 17, 2018 11:04 AM (QMG5F) 471
So, Obama is in South Africa taking shots at Trump in his gutless, sideward manner.
They should ask Obama, "Why are you celebrating Mandela when his policies have led to the racial genocide of white farm owners?" "Why are you silent while South Africans are murdered and deprived of justice?" Posted by: Adirondack Patriot at July 17, 2018 11:04 AM (ATVNj) 472

Trump also underestimated just exactly what Mueller
is doing. Trump can complain all he wants that it's a Russian witch hunt, (which it is, in my opinion, what exactly did these Russian's do, other than possibly phish the DNC's server, easily accomplished by anyone with a bit of computer knowledge.) But it doesn't matter, because this theater yesterday was designed between Mueller and the DOJ to force Trump to either state publicly to Putin's face that our DOJ/CIA has proof that his government tried to influence the election(thereby putting it's legitimacy in questions which is what the deep state wants) or make Trump defend Putin's claims, (making Trump look weak and guilty, giving the Deep State and never trumpers all the ammo they could want) Posted by: Jen the original at July 17, 2018 10:52 AM (K8r57) Soooooooo when lefties cry that Trump trusts Putin more that "His Own DOJ, ECHOooooooooooo" It would seem on the face that there is reason to? I just checked out 'The Race to Save the Romanovs: the Truth Behind the Secret Plan to Rescue the Russian Imperial Family' from the library. Most other books about it don't go into it in much detail. I've only heard about England half-heartedly trying and then refusing to help them. Apparently quite a few efforts were made by various countries.
Posted by: JuJuBee, just generally being shamey at July 17, 2018 10:51 AM (2NqXo) England at that time was the world center of fractional reserve banking utilizing usury to destroy productive societies. They initiated WWI to destroy the Western aristocracies so that they could usher in their financial system to control governments and rule the peasants. They had no intention of creating a rallying point for the Russian White Armies to promote as an alternative to the Communists. It is no coincidence that Engels and Marx lived and wrote in England. But I also think Americans are tired of the constant media hysteria. This is the Outrage of the Week - the thing that will really, really bury Trump this time! We got him!Except the media and Swamp Creatures have been playing "gotcha" since the primaries and it hasn't worked. Think of all the things that were supposed to sink Trump for good and didn't.. As long as the economy and job market are good, I don't think this will hurt Trump as much as his enemies hope. If Reagan was the Telfon president, Trump is the Kevlar president. Trump has to deal with something that Reagan never did - the enmity directed at him by the leaders of his own party. That worries me a lot. You could put the biggest GOPe cuck in the universe in the WH - Jeb or mailman's son or Eddie Munster of Janesville - and Schumer and Pelosi would still be calling him Nazi homophobe racist. But to facing such opposition from your supposed "allies" as well as from the heads of the nations' intelligence services - yikes. If Trump wasn't an abrasive, crude egomaniac, he would have melted under the pressure. Posted by: Donna&&&&&&V sez don't you dare walk the damn pitcher at July 17, 2018 11:07 AM (H80UQ) 478
Jen, no, Trump could easily have avoided the (ridiculous and short-lived) "outrage!" by just being more conventionally vague and diplomatic on the two answers all the idiots are focusing on.
Note that the rest of the press conference was pretty bland, as such things typically are, and also didn't tell us almost anything about what transpired in the talks. Actually, just look at one of Putin's answers for the model. He took a step back and sort of commented on the situation, as opposed to answering like one of the participants (typical style of fudging sensitive issues in meetings like this). "One side said this, our side differs on this issue". Posted by: rhomboid at July 17, 2018 11:08 AM (QDnY+) 479

If there is legit evidence of people selling out the US ie Uranium 1, gonna be heard to not call that treason when they press was willing to call a press conference treasonous. Of course the press will apply a double standard, but two thirds of the public is wiseing up. In fact the liberals I work with still hate Trump, but they now see the media is full on crazy and they've stopped talking about ANYTHING that is in the news. Period. Will not repeat a thing the media says. These are hard core pussy hat wearing liberals. The press has burned these people so many times that they are now afraid to repeat anything they hear on the news. Big deal. Very. Big. Deal.
