Burglar Breaks Into Escape Room; Captured After He Can't Figure Out How to Escape

Burglar breaks into escape room, can't figure out how to escape

Police in Washington say a man who broke into an "escape room" on Sunday damaged the room so badly that he couldn't escape.

Rye Wardlaw allegedly broke into Northwest Escape Experience, in Vancouver, Fox 12 reported, citing the Clark County Sheriff's Office.

An owner of the escape room -- a locked room full of puzzles and clues that participants must solve in order to escape --told the news station Wardlaw did so much damage to the business that he couldn't escape after breaking in.

"He apparently didn’t know how to use the lock on the front door and was stuck," Tamara Bertrand said.

From inside the room, Wardlaw reportedly called police and told officials he was calling from the escape room because his own home was being burglarized. While trying to escape, Wardlaw allegedly broke the backdoor handle before calling 911 several times.

Vancouver?

Canada's having a spate of robberies by fuckheaded criminals, aren't they?

Oh! Well, I see. An escape room is a puzzle room and you need to solve the puzzle to escape. They made a movie about that, 'Cube' or something.

Why would you want to break in to a room you can't escape from?

245 After a week of the Left swooning and wailing, and the Congressional testimony, I've underestimated the true arrogance these people of the Democrat party and Deep State management.

Reviewing the testimony and texts, they really think they are so superior to us, and we are such rubes for not appreciating their superiority. And the level of Deep State protection these slimy arrogant bastards possess, and know it, just makes the situation worse for anyone they deem inferior. Rush said it best on his Friday show. His bit is referring to him as "Stuck / Stroke", because when he first went public, it was pronounced both ways. Today it was "Struck-Stroke-Smirk". That arrogant smirk of Peter was pathetic.

And the Congressional Democrats are showing what they really are: unpatriotic, anti-freedom, big government is best attitudes. Watch some of that testimony if you can stomach it. They are just lapdogs for Strozk, covering for his butt. They have no desire to find out what really happened. Not one bit. They have turned against America. Not a single American Patriot in the entire bunch on the Democrat side.

More than just sad, it is disgusting how they act.

277 Missed the earlier stuff, but have a slightly different take than ace on Trump and his supporters.

He didn't get elected because his *policy prescriptions* were the same as the other GOPers - but because they were very different. He doesn't have the highest GOP approval rating of any president evuh because of personality, but because of action, policies.

Since ace was talking about N-Trumpers, this is relevant. Don't know if they're "liberals" or "back stabbers" or whatever, and don't care, because never took almost any substantive advice from almost any of them (they typically max out at "duh" sort of observatons, they're not very insightful). But I do know the main reason they look so ridiculous is because Trump's *actions* are those they've called for forever, for the most part.

Of course by now they've descended into Beltway lightweight mode where they just take cheap shots at Trump and pretend to believe ridiculous things. Most incredibly, they (like the Dems) have basically abandoned rule of law, are uninterested in the corruption of key institutions and the worst scandals in our history.

Boot is so ridiculous it's almost hard to believe it's not a parody. Only one I almost feel sorry for - he's very shallow and naive about most of politics.

I learned that early on. My Dad was an Air Force MP. He lent his service 45 to another MP. When the guy brought it back, Dad went to clean it. Took out the magazine, but didn't clear the chamber. Took a shot through the hand. I've always been cautious about firearms whenever I've been handed one. More people are killed by "unloaded" weapons than you can shake a stick at.

Do!

Before you ever load it, learn how to use the bolt lock (little metal bit between the trigger guard and the magazine release, IIRC) so you can lock the bolt open and verify it's clear. Lots of public ranges will require it, so it's good to know how and good practice to keep it locked open and unloaded unless it's in storage. It's not difficult at all, but like all things Ruger, some people make it sound like some arcane skill.

I have a splendid idea for an escape room!

Have 2 dozen men or more in a large room locked with a complicated electronic lock. The only way to escape is to debrief all these sources of info quickly and orally process their rich, thick, creamy information in such a way that reveals the combination, .

Yeah, that's the thing about weapons people used in the military. They either absolutely love them, or they never want to see one again, or they're indifferent towards them, or they're somewhere in between. You tend to have a strong opinion about it, or else you don't care about it at all, in which case you don't have a strong opinion about it.

That's just how I feel about it. I could be convinced otherwise though.

324 Range where I RO requires, of course, open bolts/mags out for cease-fires, but some of us think we should require chamber flags. They sell the flags at the range, cheap. We check each firearm on each bench carefully, but there is a "warm feeling" factor, when ahead of the line, about every firearm having a chamber flag.

We should include the flag in price of admission, and make its use mandatory.

The State DNR ranges here require that actions be locked open with the ejection or loading port up and everyone away from the bench before they'll let you go downrange, but I think they have wedges or something for AKs and others that don't lock. Of course, that doesn't apply to private ranges or State ones that don't have an RSO on duty.

375 "2013 and the unexpected attempts by allies and foes alike to hack it, Trump's fault?!? "

cause he coarsened our discourse! Thereby forcing our heretofar stalwart allies and privacy respecting enemies to retroactively hack our democracy.

also, then by coarsening our discourse, he caused hillary to engage foreign powers to sell uranium and generate foreign intel documents.

The other Clark County is Reno NV, just to confuse things. When I lived the next county over, I did have to recuse myself from jury duty because I knew the guy involved.

Clark County is Vegas. Reno is in Washoe County

382 Umm, Clark County in Nevada is Las Vegas. Prostitution is illegal there. But I lived in Nye County right next door and they had a house of ill repute in Pahrump. They even had a gift shop. Coffee cups, shot glasses, T-shirts, that kind of thing. I'm betting they made more money off the gift shop than the brothel.

388 Apropos of nothing, I just looked up lacrosse and hurling on Wikipedia. Hurling has been played in Ireland since ancient times, while lacrosse was played by the Iroquois in North America and predates the European discovery.

The two sports seem oddly similar. Could this be evidence of contact centuries before the Age of Exploration?

390 I hope when Trump gets back from meeting with Putin he fires Rosentstein for trying to embarrass him and playing politics.

Hopefully someone asks Putin about these preposterous charges.

If I were Putin I would say the following...

"These charges are baseless and malicious.

If the so called Department of Justice would like to proceed with this farce, my administration will call for a hearing in the General Assembly of the UN, there the so called Department of Justice will make a presentation of the evidence they have collected, I will send legal emissaries to listen and ask questions of the so called prosecutors and investigators of the so called Department of Justice.
If the presentation and cross examination shows compelling evidence that Russian citizens committed these alleged crimes, I will personally deliver them to the US authorities for trial."

I bet Roesenpenis balks at that scenario.

This is all a multi-act production of The Aristocrats.

I would say playing "catch" for play is something inherent in all humans, like playing "fetch" is for dogs.

And what is almost all these sports based on but playing "catch" in some form or another.

400 From the last thread about #Nevers:

There is no "spell" to break and there is no cult of personality. What there may be is an anti- Cult of Personality -- millions of Republicans united not in worship of someone but united in antipathy bordering on hatred for a group of charlatan liberals who've been sabotaging the alleged conservative movement for decades.
